I paid $40 copay at my last appointment and got no service, instead the office rescheduled me
I paid $40 copay at my last appointment and got no service, instead the office rescheduled me. Today I got a bill for $275.70 that I ain't paying. This ain't right. I want all bills from Dr. Sumithra V's office to be canceled and I want my file closed 'cause I ain't coming back.

On 01/31/2022, I got charged $9763.53 upfront for chemo, even though I got insurance. They haven't paid me back yet, and my insurance company, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, says they haven't received any claims. I've tried reaching out to Florida Cancer Specialist's finance department multiple times, but no luck. They even charged me $75.81 for a doctor visit that never even occurred. I asked for a refund, but they haven't given me anything back.
Florida Cancer Specialists has been consistently making mistakes with authorization codes and referrals, resulting in incorrect bills
Florida Cancer Specialists has been consistently making mistakes with authorization codes and referrals, resulting in incorrect bills. Unfortunately, their local clinic's financial office has been unresponsive and has failed to address these issues. Despite numerous attempts to reach out through phone calls and emails over several months, they have not provided any assistance. It appears that they expect the cancer patients themselves to rectify the billing errors, which is quite burdensome. To make matters worse, I have even received threats of collections for bills that are not valid. This is not the first time this has happened, as I have previously encountered similar problems amounting to a staggering $20,000. On that occasion, the corporate office took responsibility and covered the expenses. However, it seems that they are repeating the same mistakes once again.

I get a B-12 shot once a month at Florida Cancer Specialists
I get a B-12 shot once a month at Florida Cancer Specialists. I have full insurance and pay a $40 co-payment. On June 17, the doctor came in to give me my blood test results during the same office visit. Surprisingly, they treated it as a new visit and added an extra charge of $63.47. It's frustrating because what's the point of having insurance if they can just add charges that won't be covered and pass them on to me? These additional costs really hurt, especially since I'm on disability. I've never experienced a specialty office charging me more than my co-pay for a same-day visit. Unfortunately, I can't upload the paperwork since I don't have a scanner.
I had doctors named Dr
I had doctors named Dr. Blessy J. and Dr. Mehnaz J. I told them about my Iron Deficiency Anemia since birth, but they misdiagnosed me. They didn't find it because they fraudulently replaced it with steroids instead of providing an alternative for iron blood (red blood cells plasma). They said there's nothing they can do and told me to go to another place like Moffit Cancer Center. I can't go to other remote hematology places because I'm very sick with bleeding esophagus multi ulcers, gallstones, a double cystic nodule in my thyroid, prostate issues, left eye problems, and many other symptoms. However, they ignore me and my symptoms, and I didn't receive an iron infusion in 2021. To top it off, they sent the police to check on me at the very end. They also refuse to release my medical history record.
On June 11th, I met with Dr
On June 11th, I met with Dr. P. at Florida Cancer Specialists St. Anthony's Hospital. The address is 1201 5th Avenue N Suite 505, St. Petersburg, Florida 33705. They drew my blood and sent it to Quest Laboratory. Afterward, I got a bill for $1,106.33. I had some concerns about the bill, so I contacted BlueCross BlueShield of Texas. They told me that Dr. P.'s office didn't provide the correct codes to show that the tests were necessary for my medical condition. The only code mentioned was TAM, which just means the blood was drawn in Tampa. I talked to several people at the doctor's office [protected]) throughout the year, including the Clinic Financial Manager, Kim, on March 3rd. Kim assured me that they would fix the issue and submit the correct codes, but they haven't done so. I reached out to BCBS of Texas again. My Health Advocate, Mary, at XXX-XXX-XXXX, left four messages between August 2nd and August 9th, asking for a call back to address this problem. She hasn't received a response. Can anyone help me?
I need my Medical Records
I need my Medical Records. Me and my lawyer have been asking for them for a while now, but we can't get them. I'm involved in a legal thing about my Lymphoma treatment, not against the Doctors. I have to give my medical records for that. My lawyer asked for them 3 years ago when the case started, but they never gave them. The company is ready to settle my claim, but I still don't have my medical records. On March 25th, I called Florida Cancer Specialist to ask for my records. They told me they were on paper and they would ask for a copy and call me when they got them. They said it might take a week. It's been more than 3 weeks now and I haven't heard anything. They're ignoring my calls. I can't move forward without my medical records and I might lose my chance to get a settlement because the Cancer Specialist didn't give me my medical records.
In October , I went to *** because I tested positive for stage 1 Melanoma
In October , I went to *** because I tested positive for stage 1 Melanoma. I had to give around 15 tubes of blood during two different visits. The second visit was a follow-up. Luckily, my insurance covered all the lab tests except for one, which I'm currently disputing. I told them that I won't have insurance next year since I'm retiring after working at Publix for 34 years. I'll be taking care of my mom. When I received the first bill from Quest Diagnostics, I immediately called them because I thought there was a billing code mistake. However, *** staff hasn't made any effort to correct the billing code or send reports to BCBS explaining why the test was necessary. Every time I call their office, they seem clueless and have no idea what I'm talking about. Now, I've been sent to collections and I don't know what to do. I've attached a letter from BCBS to show their explanation, but I'm disappointed with them too. After paying them for 34 years, this is frustrating. Thanks for considering
Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute told me, both in writing and verbally, to go to LabCorp for my bloodwork
Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute told me, both in writing and verbally, to go to LabCorp for my bloodwork. They charged me $150, but they refuse to reimburse me. I had an appointment scheduled with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute for in-office blood work in March . However, I received a random letter instructing me to go to LabCorp and release the results to Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute. I was shocked to receive this letter, so I called the office. I spoke with Angela, who hurriedly told me that the office was closing due to COVID-19 and instructed me to go to LabCorp.
On March 25, I went to LabCorp with my letter, and they completed my blood work. Later, LabCorp sent me a collection letter, demanding a total of $209 with a minimum payment of $150. Both LabCorp and BlueCross Shield informed me that Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute had sent me to an out-of-network company, and they should reimburse me for their mistake. I called Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute and spoke with Tahari in billing, who promised to help me get reimbursed. Then, I was referred to the office manager, Joan H., to coordinate my $150 reimbursement on July 9. I have provided proof of the letter showing that Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute provided incorrect information. However, Joan has stopped responding to me, and I still haven't received my $150 reimbursement for their mistake.
