Hello, This is my second attempt to file a complaint,
I would like to lodge a formal complaint about the manager, Tripp Tripathi, Food Basics Sarnia location.
I've had words with him a couple of times over the dispensing of my prescriptions in the past 6+ months or so. Please note that I am a 67 year old woman with a back injury undergoing treatment with a surgeon.
There seems to be a power struggle with him as he has a problem with listening rather than his own talking.
Because of several "mishaps" in getting my prescriptions filled, I made a specific appointment with my Dr's nurse practitioner Marcel Blais from Corunna Medical. I wanted to ask him about the faxes being sent and Food Basics not sending them through or is his office not sending them. I as the patient depend on these medications and the people who prescribe and dispense them.
When I brought this up to Mr Blais he got quite upset (yelling tone) about the Food Basics practices. He said that their faxes were not being sent and he had no reference to getting them at all. He is the only one that goes through the faxes and makes sure they are taken care of. I have MANY times had to repeatedly call Food basics to inquire where my refills are and the status of them.
The dilemma here is that they have severe opposite stories. Which is why I went to ask my Dr's office to where the problem was landing. I didn't want to lay blame in any direction. But from what I was told there was that Food Basic has a general bad operational reputation and to move my account asap. They are listed at # 17 on the scale of drug stores in Sarnia.
After speaking to my Dr's office in person on the 23rd of October he told me that FBasics was lying about their faxes and that I should move my account to a better pharmacy. This location is the lowest standing in Sarnia and the reviews are terrible.
Mr Tripathi is not only arrogant and unfriendly and I avoided him as much as possible. The one prescription sat somewhere in limbo for over a month. Marcel Blais was beside himself in what is happening.
Their phone and fax line is down numerous times when trying to get through. I was also told they were not digital and relying on old fax and phones. Which I can attest to be true, by experience. Whether you have since upgraded Mr Blais seems to believe they are obsolete.
Mr Blais also gave me his card to give to Mr Tripathi and insisted I tell him to call him directly. I did so on the following friday.
I also told Mr Tripathi what Mr Blais said and apparently he lost his professionalism.
I just received a blatant extremely rude phone call from your pharmacist calling me a liar and a few other choice words. I had to hang up on him. He made this call after I had already changed my account to another pharmacy on Friday afternoon, the 26th of October.
Instead of him just letting the entire thing go, even after knowing I've left his pharmacy; he chose to make this sort of phone call to me.
I don't often complain about things unless they get to this degree of disgraceful practice.
He should be removed from his position and I will not be able to speak well of this business to any one.
In closing, I've seen a big turnaround of employees running through there and the only one I could trust is named Cheryl. The rest..absolutely not.
Regards,
Corinne E.L. Griffin
Desired outcome: A letter of apology from the manager and acknowledgement of this complaint.By ethical value he should loose his position for the obvious unprofessional behavior.
