I shopped at Donna Claire, Century City Cape town and was appalled to see that there was only one staff assisting on the counter and one assisting on the floor. There were 7 people waiting in the queue to be assisted.
I can understand about cost saving but it is totally ridiculous to have so little staff available in the morning during December. I also understand that you look at sales stats to ascertain how many staff is needed per store. However, do you take into account the potential clients, sales that is not willing to wait so long to be assisted and who actually leaves the store without purchasing anything. Are you able to ascertain how much money you lose because of that? And I am also disappointed to know that that this the working conditions that Foschini is willing to subject their staff to. This speaks a lot about what Foschini thinks of basic worker rights. I don't know if I want to keep on supporting Foschini
