Framefixers.com's claims of "expert repair" should not always be expected to match the generally accepted definition of the term, particularly when it comes to fixing vintage sunglasses.
While seemingly personable (in part) in my experience, company representatives also dissembled almost endlessly, and you, like the many others who have already filed complaints with Upstate New York's BBB (Google it to confirm current status) regarding issues of quality, service, delivery, etc., may well find yourself more than vaguely dissatisfied.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I checked further into the complaints mentioned on the BBB website and all have been satisfied. Upon checking further I was surprised and disappointed that the BBB doesn't do a better job in giving more details such as how many THOUSANDS of customers, including myself, were very satisfied with framefixers.com. It seems unfair that a handful of complaints can be written up and the public not allowed to see both sides of the story. Maybe some of these people that are complaining can spend hundreds of dollars on a new pair of glasses but in this economy I was very thankful and very pleased with the service I received and at an extremely good cost. Keep up the good work Framefixers and anyone out there looking for eyeglass repairs at a reasonable price, give them a chance, I would highly recommend them. S. Murphy
So numerous complaints that have been "satisfied" by the BBB is a recommendation? Do you know what a "satistied" complaint is comprised of? You will after you deal with Framefixers!
Another shill posting from a friend of the owner probably, unless it is the owner. Take a look at the next complaint posted for another bad experience shared by a paying customer, and note closely that "stay away" is probably still good advice.
I HATE THEM! They "fixed" my IRREPLACEABLE sunglasses and then they broke. The owner said he would fix them again for free. They have no had them for over TWO months! I call every week, sometimes twice a week, and he always gives me some excuse. WHERE ARE MY GLASSES YOU THIEF?!
DO NOT USE THEM!
My problem is that I sent a pair of Prada Frames and prescription treated lenses valued at over $525.00 to a company called FrameFixers for repair of a broken hinge in the beginning of the summer. The company charged me $58.50 for the repair. Weeks went by and I did not hear from them.
I called after about 6 weeks and was told that they were waiting on a part. A later call a week later produced the part is in but they were trying to locate the tray containing my glasses so they could make the repair. A later call another week later produced that the glasses were fixed and set to be mailed out that week. A few days later I called for status and was given a tracking number for the USPS. The tracking number was invalid. Next went several months worth of calls back and forth where I was told the shipping company was trying to locate the package and that they had never lost a package before. After almost 2 months had passed I was told that the package had been located by the shipping company and they had neglected to put the last line of the address on the package. They were going to ship the glasses back to the company and FrameFixers would FedEx the glasses back to me.
I waited 2 weeks without a package. Subsequent calls produced no answer. I left message after message, week after week. Now here in November after continuing to call, I received a voicemail message from a blocked number that said that they had discovered my glasses in one tray and the lenses in another tray and were going to put them back together and send them too me.
I left a return message concerning the question of "what was all the information prior about packages being not addressed correctly? If my glasses were still unassembled, what was all that you told me before?" Since then I have not been able to get through the line. It has been weeks.
The guy sounds really personable as he tells me a new lie every time I finally get through. He is a liar and a thief.! A LIAR AND A THIEF! Do not send your property to him. Find another more reputable company. Check first at the BBB!
Framefixers are liars they tried to steal my vintage glasses they gave me fake tracking numbers they don't return calls and when you finally get someone on the phone they get mad because I'm asking about my glasses. When I finally received my glasses they were ruin as if someone was banging the frame with a hammer and the frame was tarnished they fixed them but messed them back up and sent them to me nothing but CROOKS.
I attempted to purchase 3 pair of custom clip-on sunglasses from this guy. Absolutely terrible experience. He never delivered anything remotely close to the right size. I ended up returning everything I ever got from him. He was beligerent. He was incompetent. Absolutely one of the worst I have ever dealt with. I would strongly recommend you spend your money elsewhere!
I have had the same problem. They are a fraud and I will file any and all complaints, Internet Fraud, Attorney General of New York, whatever that will get me help. I just checked the Google map and this place doesn't exist, it is a personal mail box at a UPS Store, the shopping mall where it is suppose to be situated is all but empty. TOTAL FRAUD! DO NOT SEND ANYTHING TO THIS FAKE!
THe first time I used Framfixers it could not have gone better. Then I sent another pair to be fixed in June. It's September 3 and I still do not have them but they charged me faster than lightning.
They keep saying that we will send you a tracking number but never do. Very disappointed because I thought I had found a jewel of a business. I was wrong
