Warranty not honored.
We purchased a $480 franklin legacy lift chair from costco for my 83-year-old mother in 2013. At christmas this year, the hand controller stopped working for the down direction. The warranty on the controller was for 3 years and would expire on 12/27/2016. I promptly called the company and was directed to kim's voice mail. I explained that it was urgent someone return my call as the warranty was going to be expiring. No one did. However, I wasn't worried. The voice mail should serve as evidence that we reported the issue well in time. I called again the next day, and this time there was only a recording saying the staffing was at minimum for the holidays, but all would return jan. 3rd. I left another voice mail. January 3rd came and went with no return phone call from two voice mails. My husband tried calling twice more. He spoke with kim, who said the chair only had a 1 year warranty. My husband pointed out that the company's book with the chair stated a 3-year warranty on that part. Kim said she would have to refer the matter to someone else who would call us back. Of course, there was no return call as promised. He called again, and entered kim's extension. The call went to voice mail. So, he immediately hung up, called back, and asked to speak to a supervisor. He was transferred to kim, who, lo and behold, answered immediately. It was clear that the company had no intention of honoring their warranty, so in order to get my mother the use of her chair back, we went ahead and purchased a new remote (Not the same product, by the way) for $32. This company lacks integrity, and contrary to their own words, they do not stand behind their products nor do they offer the best warranty in the industry. Their way of providing customer care is to avoid the customer. I will be reporting this experience to costco who is a stand-up company. I am sure they would not want to be associated with such standards.
Questionable ethics
I purchased a franklin rueben recliner, from leon's, a furniture store here in canada. I actually love the chair, however two weeks ago I received a letter from leon's stating that there was a serious problem with the electric footrest switch in my recliner and it could cause a fire. They advised that I should unplug the chair and that I would hesr from franklin corp. Very soon to have this issue resolved. That was two weeks ago and I have tried to contact franklin with 4 emails, with no response. Their website has links to information about the switch recall, but those links don't take you to any info. Leon's say they are satified with what franlin are doing and tell me the links are working. I guess they think i'm lying. I will never buy another franklin furniture product and I have advised leon's that if this is not resolved soon I will be sending my recliner back and have it left in ftont of their showroom door. Then I will have to deal with a refund from them. What happened to companies wanting to satisfy customers? Guess those days are gone.
The site works fine for me. There is all the info you need. Maybe you need to learn how to use a computer...
Do not honor warranty
Bought a franklin recliner from american home furnishing in july. Had it replaced within two weeks, with same chair. By december that chair was falling apart. Franklin corp. Would not answer e-mails or do anything about replacing the chair because we had it to long. Amh couldn't do anything about the chair but have it repaired because franklin would not allow it. As I sit and wait for someone to come and repair it the chair continues to become worse. The structure is rapidly declining, the seat and one arm cushion are slowly collapsing, and tips to one side very easily.

Couch with defects
I purchased a Franklin Recliner Sofa from Gardner-White Furniture which came with a manufacturing defect seam in the middle cushion as well as a tear in the top cushion. Because I did not notice these items within 48 hours of delivery Gardner-White refuses to replace them or fix them under warranty so lucky me I get to pay full price for bargain basement furniture.
I will never shop at Gardner-White again. A company that does not back their product does not deserve my business nor my hard earned money.
I bought a Franklin Sectional Group from JCPenney and after two years, we felt we were sitting on the strings. The store said the warranty from them was over (two years), the Franklin Group said the foam is guaranteed for one year. I think that is how long this sofa lasts - ONE YEAR. Needed to replace the foam. The upholstery lady said the foam they put in this sofa was old and moldy.
Be aware when you buy a sofa from Franklin Corporation
I bought a recliner from Kane Furniture that was a Franklin made one and Franklin said they supply a lifetime of poly foam, only catch is you have to pay to put it in when your recliner foot rest goes flat in just over a year. I will not buy from Kane again, and I will make sure I never buy a Franklin again. Be warned
Broken love seat recliner
Company based in michigan but just thought I would warn any of you from buying anything from this company. We purchased $2, 000 worth of furniture back on december 30th and the love seat recliner on one side has something that pokes you in the back and it don't rock properly and it's very uncomfortable to sit on. Had a service tech come out and he said nothing was wrong so it's his word against ours. There is supposed to be 1 year warranty on everything and basically they said there is nothing that they can do since the tech found nothing wrong. I just thought about not paying them. I have good credit so frankly I don't care if I get turned over to collections over $2, 000. Call the better business bureau? Any ideas?
This was the company that made the furniture. Don't buy any of there stuff. They don't want to help either.
Manager at the gardner white store was very rude to the point of being smug.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
