Beware all oversea buyers. I have purchased a 68 Camaro SS from Future Classics few months ago was very disappointed when it arrived. Despite assurance that the engine is healthy we discovered lots of issues that could not go unnoticed in a car dealership. The engine is now completely rebuilt. Please take a look at the pictures for details. I know questions that need to be asked. I buy and sell classic cars for many years and have never before came across such a dishonesty.
After this post was published I was contacted by their management and refunded part of the repair cost. Nice gesture from their side.

Bad service
I bought a classic 1966 Mustang 200CI from Future Classics and was told by the owner, Nick DeMartino that the engine was just rebuilt less than 3000 miles ago and wold not have any issues. I asked Nick why the car was running so rough and Nick said the car sat for awhile and needed to be driven again. Nick stated that the car would not have any engine issues for the next 20 years since it was a rebuilt straight six cyliner engine and I took him on his word as being a subject matter expert and me not being a mechanic. I have witness to all of the discussions. Once I got the car home almost a month after purchasing it due to multiple issues, it was found that the choke on the carbeurator was broken so I took it to his mechanic. First the mechanic found that the carbeurator needed to be rebuilt, battery was dead, points were broken, and distributor cap was no good. Once the rebuilt carbeurator was put onto the car it was still running rough and stalling out so the mechanic found that the 5th cylinder was not firing and there was no compression. It was then found that the 5th cylinder was completely dead proving that the engine was not rebuilt. Nick DeMartino lied about the condition of the engine and misrepresented the vehicle to me and my witness. Now Future Classics has sent my father a letter through their lawyer threatening to sue us for libel and slander because we are posting my story online to help consumers understand how this company operates and we do not want anyone else to go through this. This company completely took advantage of me and now has the nerve to try and bully me into not sharing what has happened to me. Please beware of Future Classics NJ on RT 88 in Lakewood New Jersey. Please do not get taken advantage of like I did and help spread the word of the practices of this company. Please join us in helping to spread this story as far as possible to help save other consumers from going through this nightmare.
Fraud
Nick and his employees are expert ripoff artists so buyer beware. They will fast talk you and lie to you just to get your money. They hide problems lie about problems and cover them up so you are stuck with them once you leave. After you leave with your purchase and start finding things wrong they will not assist you or even call you back. Future Classics are professional classic car and motorcycle rip off artists so buyer beware!

Misrepresented vehicle
My experience with Future Classics was just VERY frustrating on two fronts:
1) the car I purchased was represented as "strong, etc." (I have their original ad); pictures on web-site (and auction) were before a crappy paint job (probably by his Maaco buddies) was done. The car has been a MAJOR
project (requiring new exhaust system, one of the exh. Manifolds was cracked, fuel tank was fouled, carb had to be rebuilt, rear suspension (shocks & springs) replaced, etc., etc., etc. - to the tune of more than $12, 000 (I am trying NOT to add it all up, because it makes me ill), then
had a tremendously difficult time tracking down some original documentation that should have come with the car - almost like they did not want me to get in touch with the previous owner (I was told that he was "weird" and
un-cooperative - could have been, but something doesn't seem right?);
2) I left another car up there, as I was told that I could have some work done (windshield wiper motor installed), and nothing was done for close to a month. Thankfully, I got that one out of there ASAP.
I have reconciled that I signed an "As-is" document at purchase, and have viewed it as an expensive learning lesson, but will NEVER recommend Future Classics to anyone. I have also heard that Nick is not supposed to be involved in auto business (e.g. had license pulled or something), but I can not confirm that.
Sold me a car with a bad engine
My friend bought a classic car from Future Classics in the beginning of March and was told by the owner, Nick DeMartino that the engine was just rebuilt 3000 miles ago. My friend asked Nick why the car was running so rough and Nick said the car sat for awhile and needed to be driven again. Nick stated that the car would not have any engine issues for the next 20 years since it was a rebuilt straight six cyliner engine and that he would tune the car up before pickup so it ran more smoothly. I was witness to all of the discussions.
Once my friend got the car home it was found that the choke on the carbeurator was broken so he took it to his mechanic. First the mechanic found that the carbeurator needed to be rebuilt, one of the points were broken, the distributor cap was no good, and some other minor issues. Once the rebuilt carbeurator was put onto the car it was still running rough and stalling out so the mechanic found that the 5th cylinder was not firing and there was no compression. It was then found that the 5th cylinder was completely dead proving that the engine was not rebuilt. Nick DeMartino lied about the condition of the engine and misrepresented the vehicle to my friend. Nick was looked to as an subject matter expert and took advantage of my friend not being a mechanic.
There were other issues with the vehicle as well. For example, the paint on the car was peeling off and had rust spots so my friend inquired about having it painted. Nick's exact words were, "I have a great bodyshop that can sand off the car and repaint it whatever color you like at a great price. He does great work". After paying for the car Nick told my friend the following Saturday that MAACO would be doing the work. He stated that MAACO would be sanding off the blue paint along with the rust spots before repainting the car black. This was not the case because there is blue paint showing through the black paint.
Future Classics had my friends car for a total of four weeks and did not fix the paint or engine issues while it was in their possession. He complained repeatedly through phone calls, emails, and even drove 2 1/2 hours roundtrip four times without Future Classics fixing the issues the way they initially agreed upon before taking the car. Now on top of being overcharged for a car that does not run correctly Future Classics has the nerve to try and bully/threaten him with libel and slander charges for telling his story to the public which is a complete outrage and joke.
So I am emailing you to inform you of the practices this company chooses to take. It is completely up to you to do whatever you want with this information but please beware of Future Classics NJ on RT 88 in Lakewood New Jersey. Please do not get taken advantage of like my friend.
I am sure some of you may be friends of Nick and his employees and that is fine but do not waste your time replying with hate mail as it will not be read and just deleted. This email is intended for those that may be unaware of the above practices.
Future Classics lied about the repainting of my vehicle. They told me that the old color was sanded off of the car during the repainting of my vehicle. When I pointed out the old color they tried to say it was just the lighting. I insisted that this was not the case so they kept the car for an additional week to perform the work promised. After taking my car home the following week it was found that the old color is still showing through and the work was not performed as agreed upon. Future Classics is not cooroporating with fixing the vehicle as agreed upon. This is a totally unprofessional and dishonest company so please beware my fellow consumers. Perform extensive research on Future Classics LLC to be informed of their practices. Thank you for your time.

Future Classics has once again lied to the customer. Per the below that is directly from an email sent from JT at Future Classics:
"I was away from the office for a few hours and was told by one of the other guys here you had emailed. Nick said he would be glad to talk to you on Monday if you wish so we may end this situation for good."
Once again Nick who was confirmed to be the owner of Future Classics LLC did not call which proves he does not care about customers. Future Classics continue to be unprofessional and dishonest towards their customers. Future Classics did not and do not intend to resolve any issues with the customer.
Went to the Atlantic City auction 3/2/13. Saw my clone camaro I sold a month ago as a clone. To my surprise there was my camaro being sold by Future Classics as an real big block car. I asked if it was a real car and was told yes. I said how can that be that was my car and it started as a 307 automatic. The subject was changed. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE
Future Classics Lied about condition of car and who owned it. Internet and ebay Motors used to sell classic autos. Lakewood New Jersey
...
This company uses Ebay motors to sell classic autos. The car I bought I found on ebay and started bidding on it. Contacted the seller, Future Classics, and started asking questions about the condition.
Ive been buying cars and pickups for 30 yrs and know what to look for and ask. These guys misrepresented and out right lied about the condition of this 71 Chevelle.
The car has rust, was not able to pass state inspection, emergency brake was not hooked up, exhaust brackets broke, motor was missing, and the list goes on. I asked very exact questions about the car before buying and was lied to.
They said they had been selling cars for 20 yrs, if so they have been lying for 20 yrs.DO NOT BUY FROM Future Classics . I contacted the salesman and the owner about this car after it was shipped, 3 days after they said it would be here, and told them of the condition.
They then said it was a consighnment car. They didnt even own it. And would have to see if the real owner would do anything about it. No response. Its been a month.
Bottom line they, Future Classics, LLC out of Lakewood, NJ, lied about the condition of this car and will do nothing about it.
Bad car dealer
My son purchased a 1966 mustang from this company for $6000+ and before he picked it up had them get it painted and do some minor repairs for another $2700. it ran rough when he test drove it but was told that the motor was rebuilt and had to be driven and broken in some as it had been sitting for quite a while. he took them at their word and picked it up a couple weeks later. on the drive from the dealer to home in phila. it still ran terrible so he took it to a friend of the family, who is a licensed and certified car repair shop owner/ operator. they rebuilt the carburetor as that was one of the things that the seller suggested should be done. when the carburetor was finished and installed on the car it still ran terrible. the mechanic then did a compression test and found at least one dead cylinder and informed us that the motor would need to be completely rebuilt at a cost of around $3000. after informing futureclassics of this fact, my son was told that futureclassics has all the paperwork concerning the supposedly rebuilt motor and that we should "do what you have to" in regards to getting an attorney as they were not responsible anymore and would not refund any money towards the repairs. so 3 months after purchase my son has a car that he has almost $9000 in that he cannot drive and the seller won't stand behind his word to make it right. BAD BUSINESS.
Scammers
((((( - DON'T BUY FROM FUTURE CLASSICS LLC ON RT 88! - )))))
FIRST THEY DID NOT HAVE THE OLD COLOR TAKEN OFF THE CAR WHEN REPAINTING EVEN THOUGH THAT WAS AGREED UPON, THEN THEY JUST TOUCHED UP THE REALLY BAD SPOTS BY DABBING
THEY HAD THE CAR FOR FOUR WEEKS
THEY TOLD ME THE CAR WAS RUNNING ROUGH DUE TO IT NEEDING TO BE DRIVING AND BROKEN IN BECAUSE IT SAT FOR AWHILE AND THE ENGINE WAS REBUILT
I FOUND THE CHOKE WAS BROKEN, THE CARBEURATOR WAS BAD, AND ONE OF THE PISTONS WAS NOT FIRING SO THE CAR WAS RUNNING ON FIVE CYLINDERS
WHEN I CALLED THEY PRETENDED LIKE THEY HAD NO IDEA AND ACCUSED ME OF TAKING THE CAR AND BRINGING IT BACK. ONCE I PROVED I NEVER TOOK THE CAR THEN THEY CHANGED THEIR STORY TO, "I THOUGHT YOU TOOK THE CAR AND BROUGHT IT BACK".
SO BASICALLY THEY HAD MY CAR FOR ALMOST A MONTH AND DID NOT PERFORM THE WORK AGREED UPON CORRECTLY. THEY ALSO HID THE PROBLEMS OF THE ENGINE BECAUSE THEY KNEW I WAS NOT A MECHANIC. I TOLD THEM IF I RECEIVE A PARTIAL REFUND TO HELP PAY FOR SOME REPAIRS THEN I WOULD NOT BE AS UNSATISFIED BUT THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO DO THIS.
AFTER TAKING THE VEHICLE TO A REPUTABLE MECHANIC IT WAS FOUND THAT NOT ONLY WAS THE CARBEURATOR BAD BUT THE FIFTH CYLINDER WAS DEAD SO THE ENGINE MUST BE REBUILT EVEN THOUGH FUTURE CLASSICS SWORE THE ENGINE WAS REBUILT IN 2002 AND ONLY 3000 HAVE BEEN PUT ON THE NEW ENGINE.
PLEASE BEWARE OF FUTURE CLASSICS LLC ON RT 88 IN LAKEWOOD NEW JERSEY AND LET ANYONE LOOKING TO BUY A CLASSIC CAR TO KNOW HOW THIS BUSINESS OPERATES.

FUTURE CLASSICS BEWARE! Fraud all the way...had problems with a mis-rep car. BEWARE!
They totally misrepresented a car I bought. When car arrived via shipper, it was leaking oil, the engine would hardly run, the transmission slipped terribly and the service engine soon light was on. I immediately called and got the run around. Never could get returned calls. They told me to take it in to the local chevy dealership for a diagnosis and they would help with the repairs. They never did! They represented the car as stock, numbers matching. Upon inspection, the engine was a replacement engine with serious internal problems. The transmission was also in need of a rebuild. I took a huge loss on the car. Unfortunately, it was only after I purchased the car that I learned of their terrible reputation. I learned a very painful lesson and encourage others to spare themselves of a certain rip-off!
Look out . They "Future Classics" have sold boguss and clone cars for years! Ask around
Rip off
The owner, Nick lied to me. He told me the car was a great daily driver and it almost overheated on the way home due to multiple issues including a bad carb. I had the car repainted because he told me that he had a great bodyshop. He said they would sand off the blue and repaint black. He sent it to MAACO and the blue is still showing through even after them supposedly fixing it. He said he would put on dual exhaust but instead split the pipe after the muffler to make it "look like" dual exhaust. Nick completely took advantage of me and ripped me off.
I had a similiar issue with this company. They hid a cracked bumper and I didn't notice until I got home and two weeks later the computer fried. It was a 1998 corvette that I was told didn't have any issues and now has costs me over $4K to get back on the road. Future Classics are total rip offs!
