I contacted future steel buildings spoke with Moe Arthur we spoke about an existing concrete slab I have wich is a 30x30 ft he told me they could sell me a building for it at a total of 5500 including shipping. So he sent a contract to my bank the contract calls for 30x30 ft building at wich time I signed the contract and placed a 1, 100 dollar down payment When I recieve my blue prints it is showing a 29.9x31ft building I then call moe told him they had sent me the wrong blue prints that I already have a slab poured he then tells me that they can send me the building on the contract for an extra 2, 600 dollars I then ask him for a refund if they cannot provide the building for the agreed price on the contract he instantly told me that there in house lawers would make sure I did not recieve a refund that thier company does not give money back beware of these people do not get taken like I did I contacted a lawer but he said would cost more to fight with them than it is worth wish I had read the others befor I did buisness with these jerks STAY AWAY FROM FUTURE STEEL BUILDING THE ONLY THING IN THE FUTURE IS THEM TAKING YOUR MONEY AND RUNNIN.
My husband asked for a brochure from them and then he decided he was not interested in their product. Since then, we have had many phone calls from them and every time they have been told not to call us again and that we are not interested. We received the last phone call this morning at 7.30 am. If this is not harassment I do not know what is. Steer clear of this company, they will not leave you alone if you show any interest. Denise Buchart
It is against the law to call at 7:30 am. I tell people like that that I am contacting my state's attorney General if they continue. Keep the info of that 7:30 call on your called I'D and when they call again reference their 7:30 call and tell them you are reporting them in general and that call specifically, to your state's attorney general. That has always worked for me.
A couple years back, my wife asked for some information from Future Steel Buildings. When they called us to discuss what they might sell us, I informed them that our neighborhood association bylaws would not allow us to erect a steel building, and that we would thus not be interested after all. They have called back multiple times since then, always asking for my wife, maybe hoping that she would give a different answer. This morning, when they called, I very politely started to explain that we are not allowed to have steel buildings in the neighborhood. Before I could even finish, they hung up. Very quick, very rude, and just sleazy sales practices. Once you show signs of interest in these folks, they just keep calling no matter what you tell them.
This company FUTURE STEEL BUILDINGS are criminal.
I see my situation as a con just like everyone else. I lost my deposit as well. This has been burning me up inside for two years now. Every time I see one of their very misleading commercials my blood pressure goes up.
I sent my deposit thinking I was simply securing the good deal they were offering with no commitment, for buildings long in inventory that they would like to sell. This was clearly expressed over the phone by the sales persons, I arrived home only to find out when I got home the document they sent to my wife for signature because I was travelling stated the deposit was not refundable.
At that time I thought I may as well proceed rather then lose my deposit, but in the end the cost was very high it wasn't the building it was claimed to be and nowhere near the great price they implied. If this were the old west that sales manager would be buried too his neck in sand, but it's not. It's the modern era of deception and fraud.
DON'T FALL FOR THIS
They don't need to sell any buildings to be profitable they just need to continue ripping everyone off for their deposits for the cost of a few phone calls. I also had contacted them previously just to get more information. They cold called me, the price was thought to be very good and seemed worth the deposit to secure the price. As stated I was travelling across the country at the time and soon needed to board the plane. I ASKED THEM TO CALL BACK IN A FEW DAYS OR I WOULD CALL THEM, THEN THE SALES MANAGER PHONED WITH THE BIGGER SALES PITCH AND THE BIG GUARENTEE. Thinking ! as stated no commitment was required I had the money wired. When I returned home and started conversing with the sales office I soon realized this was no deal at all and when all was said and done this building was much more expensive than others, not to mention concerns over structural strength due to our snow load. After careful consideration and lots of homework I decided to cancel the order, only to be informed that my deposit was non refundable.
THE ODD THING THOUGH, THE YOUNG FELLOW WHO ORIGINALLY CALLED WHO WAS POLITELY TRYING TO PURSUAD ME - WAS NO LONGER WORKING THERE WHEN I PHONED THE NEXT DAY TO ENSURE I DIDN'T GET RIPPED OFF BY A CON MAN - NOT KNOWING I REALLY DID JUST DIDN'T KNOW IT YET.
These guys are deceptive liars with no integrity. So if you’re looking for a building look elsewhere.
AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED THIS COMPANY HAS NO BUSINESS BEING IN BUSINESS. THEY'RE
NO BETTER THEN THE SCAM ARTISTS WE HEAR OF IN THE NEWS EACH AND EVERY DAY. (PERSONALLY,
IT'S TIME WE COLLECTIVELY SUIT THEM) THEIR NOT THE SCAM ARTISTS NO ONE CAN FIND
WE KNOW WHERE THEY ARE BUT SEEMINGLY THEY ARE UNTOUCHABLE.
BC
BC, you mentioned a collective law suit and I for one will join in to sue these scam artist. It's time❗️
we retained an attorney today. BAD experience from the beginning. Now, we have a building that was way more than it's worth. You end up having to buy extra parts, etc too many things went wrong to mention. The building was supposed to house a collection of cars. It was guaranteed to be perfect for that. It buckled on the roof. It leaks under the sides. We are out almost $30k for a useless, ugly building. My Dad is now terribly depressed over it all.
I too would happily join in any law suit against this company because of the very defective product they make and their deceptive business practices.
Contact your state's attorney general. If enough state's get enough complaints and those scammed are vocal, the states often band together to take care of the situation.
They got me for?$3200 deposit. The only way to beat their [censored] is if we unite. I think I speak for everyone when I say I WANT MY MONEY BACK. Anyone want to go after them I'm with ya. jkbonscott@gmail.com
I am on board. They have $3375 of.my money. Paypal dispute in, and will see what happens
Story explained on post (reply) above.
Very pushy, ignore the words "refund"
Just filed an FBI complaint. Ic3.gov
We erected our 24x30 building in December 2013. Two days later it snowed, and snowed. We got it finished. Wow lots more work than they let on.
Last week I noticed the cars were wet, stuff on the work bench was wet. I looked up and saw over half a dozen small stress cracks in the roof. ( similar to when you flex a pop can)
Called Future Steel. We sent the pictures they asked for. They emailed back saying we had too much snow on the roof. Offered me better panels for $1700.
Who are they kidding. This garage has not been up for 6 months.
Do not ever, ever purchase from them. We are in to this building for $12000. No way am I giving them more money. I have already contacted the local building inspector, he says it is there problem. Hopefully we can get somewhere with our lawyer.
If possible, please let me know if you are effective going the legal route. I'm so mad at this lousy building I wish there were a legal solution, but don't want to throw good money after bad.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from these buildings. Purchased and built a 30 x 50 and it could not handle New England snow (CT) Collapsed on our vehicles and company basically said TO F$$%ING BAD.
Yup landed on FIVE restored cars and two projects- an absolute [censored]show
Upon further research and scrutiny, I would surmise that FSB is also operating under the name of "Pioneer Sales" see link: http://www.steelbuildings-ontario.com/
If that is the case, one should beware of them as well.
After reading numerous posts and complaints about FSB, I would highly advise consumers to steer clear from this company.
It seems to me that FSB is in the business of scamming innocent, unsuspecting and trusting folks.
So I say: Caveat Emptor...Like Barnum stated many years ago..."There's a $ucker born every minute." Don't let that $ucker be you!

My $7500 FSB "shed" is now up to $50k, try insulating, add doors windows, electrical, etc everything will cost you 3-5 times a conventional bldg.
stay clear unless your looking for a drive shed or hay barn.

FSB calls me many times a month. Each time they tell a new story about a cancellation and how they have buildings that they ready to go from this cancellation. Explosions, Fires, Death, Divorce. All things they have said had happened and now they have buildings the need to sell. When I first called them they asked for a deposit. I did not give them any money. When I said I will not give them any money because we had not agreed on a size or style of building yet he was upset and said ( well we don't do business in the US anyway.) I said you knew where I was before calling me. They call many times a month with a new story of cancellations and that they are giving me a great deal on the buildings. This place is a scam.
Rip off is right! Anyone doing research on this business shoul steer clear of these scam artist!
Everything I just read is true. Great deals, many phone calls offering "gotta move now", get your non-refundable deposit is their business model. All BS. So after all is said and done I built my building to house my many and expensive motorcycles. Looks great end of summer when I finished. Proud of my work until winter hit. POS FSB design bolt together junk leaks like a sieve. Attempted many repairs offered by FSB as well as my own ideas. I know it is the sealed head bolts and the big holes in the sheet metal which cannot seal. I got screwed. Please don't let this happen to you. Build a conventional building. It will last just as long and you can make it ANY way you want. If ever there is a law suit against these crooks I would like to be involved.
I have had the same experience, after hundreds of dollars trying to stop leaks I've given up and think it's better to tear it down and go with a stick built building. I would happily join in any law suit. Gary Tash at tashset@gmail.com.
I was just hard sold by Michael Gladstone of FSB to put a deposit down on a building. His pitch was that Hurricane Harvey had caused a bunch of people to back out from contracts and they had a ton of inventory clogging their shipping bays. He told me that to wait would be ridiculous because prices on buildings today would be double in a couple of weeks. The WHOLE DEAL is getting your $ via deposit. Not going to work with this company due to the bad taste of working with a pushy salesman and reading countless horror stories online. Good luck in your search for a building! Deal locally if possible.
Hurricane Florence (2018), FSB tells me, has them in a "similar predicament." Thanks for all your warnings above!
Does anyone in Alberta have a positive expeerience in dealing with Mike of Future Steel Buildings. I am looking at purchasing the C Can units
My entire building imploded before it was 15 years old
A total disaster here’s the webpage for them

We were excited to get a great deal on a steel building for our property in the northern woods of New Hampshire. After speaking with a very helpful sales rep we sent the needs, along with a zip code (they need this to make sure the building is designed for the conditions of the area). We got our building and starting working on the construction. There was an issue (on our concrete contractors part) that needed to be dealt with and the "engineer" at Future Steel was quite helpful with a solution.
Because of another construction project we were delayed on completing the entire building before winter (we had 16 of 18 arches up). This didn't affect the building's structural strength, though.
We get snow in northern New Hampshire (similar to what they get in Canada, where they make these things) so I wasn't concerned.
In spring, my wife noticed holes in the top arch panels (14 of the 16 arches we erected were perforated). We contacted Future Steel about this and, after sending pictures and waiting over a week for a review (10 days, actually) someone contacted us to tell us that we got too much snow and the building was not designed for that. (Really? Why sell me a building that was not designed for the climate?). Well, they did not honor their 30 year guarantee. Instead, they SOLD us the replacement parts ("at a greatly reduced price", according to the manufacturer) but in order to buy those parts, we had to sign away our 30 year guarantee claim (they demanded a complete release from liability in order to buy the parts to fix this issue and make the building safe!). Oh, we DID have the option to buy from the sales division (this "discount" came from the factory). But buying from the sales division meant spending 5 times the cost! (and we're talking thousands of dollars, here!) This was their way of forcing us to sign the Waiver of Liability agreement to get the building serviceable.
While we believe we have the building fit for use, now, it was a horrible, and expensive ordeal.
You can always tell a company's worth by how they conduct themselves in a time of adversity (such as holding up on their warranty). Well, they were horrible. It took two months to get to the bottom of this and in the end we either lose the building, or lose our "guarantee" or spend 5x more money to fix this and save our initial investment.
I strongly suggest, if you're looking for a steel building, you shop with a more reputable company that Future Steel (aka Future Steel Buildings).
And after reading other poster's experiences, I see this is part of their scam!
The censored word was 'H o l d i n g', btw...
I was able to fight them by myself with no lawyer through my state's consumer protection office. I put definite time into it. I also started to file a complaint with Ontario's consumer protection, but I didn't need that one! My state consumer agent determined they need to give every dime of our money back! Future Buildings paid us everything back despite what their crap contract says. They are deceptive and also high pressure sales. They were not legally able to originally call us cold like that because we just requested a brochure on their website. We did not call them first or make first contact. Therefore, it was illegal and they lost. You could try with your state consumer protection also for whatever it's worth in your unique case. Could also file a complaint with Ontario online.
I will also add that we did not receive a building and had notified them that we cancelled the contract. We requested a refund. Of course we found out they weren't going to do that. I even went toe to toe with their lawyer, Mr. Navarette. Even if your case differs and you did receive a building, it's still worth fighting them with complaints. Try in your state, and if I were you, I'd probably file a complaint with Ontario as well. You can do all of this online. My personal opinion, I don't think Future Buildings likes to get these government offices sniffing their trail. You may not ever see a full refund like we did, but I was losing hope too. It's worth the shot.
FSB - A disaster from the start. My son wanted a shop for doing mechanical work Against our advice he ordered from Future Steel.. It was a large building and required an expensive concrete floor. The panels arrived (shipped from Ontario to Alberta). Brochure says it can be erected with with just a few friends on a weekend. VERY WRONG! Had to hire a picker truck for lifting the panels. During transport the panels had flattened and would not fit together properly. Got the first two ribs together and then the building started looking like a camel. Had to hire a contractor and his crew to finish. Upon completion and with the first rain and now always, it leaks and water runs all over the floor. Throwing good money after bad, spent money for a company to spray something around the bottom to stop the leaks. Didn't work. Now for the 2nd time he has to hire a scissor lift to fix the upper back wall that has been pushed in beyond the cap by a strong wind. Better than $50, 000 spent on this. Was an expensive lesson for our son. We had encouraged a stick built. Would have been insulated and far, far cheaper in the long run. Do not buy! Guess the one good thing is the floor.
Hi purchased a future steel building 50x35 privately that was produced in 2009. My husband decided he would like to expand his he building to 50x50. I called future Steel for a quote for the expansion. I was told that I would need to pay $1350.00 for a reassessment of the building for upgrade to code as well as engineered drawings for the new 50x50. The quote came back for over $12, 000.00 for parts just to bring the existing (non built building up to code) what code was not specified) I checked with the municipality permit engineer and was informed that for agricultural storage, The building did not need to meet code. I called future steel and informed them that I did not need these upgrades. I was told by the building consultant that the building was not safe building to put up. As you can see it needs major upgrades. I asked for a refund . I was told that “unfortunately that’s not possible”an engineer was hired to review an old building (2009)for your new site I am sorry with the results but the deposit is non- refundable as per signed agreement. So knowing that it was for farm storage the building consultant tried to sell me $12, 000 for an unspecified code that does not apply to farm buildings. I have asked for the 50x50 engineered drawings that I paid for. I doubt that they will ever arrive as they were deemed (as necessary) which is very ambiguous) I will have a local contractor add another 15 feet to the unconstructed building. I was told he can get the same steel as used by future steel, it is local, cheaper and I will not have to pay shipping. Instead of selling me the parts needed for an expansion, they have charged me for an engineering assessment( a list of parts) that are not needed for farm storage. So Instead of selling me costly additional parts they have ripped me off for $1350.00 and lost a repeat customer. I have reported this deception to BBB and I will not have any future dealings with future steel. It is unfortunate. I like their buildings and have no issues with the 1st building we purchased. It is so unfortunate that their salesmen lack credibility and do not share ideals of the owner”be straight with you customers, no one wants to be cheated”. I am so glad I didn’t spend the extra $12, 000. I wonder if the owner is aware that his building consultant does not share his ideals. “ be proud of your people, they are the most important part of a business, and understand each customers needs” I am sure that if those are truly his vision he would be mortified with the tactics of his current building consultant. With the advent of social media they I think will be the downfall of this business.
My daughter purchased a 17 x 22 building with 1 door in 2020. They shipped everything but the door hardware to hang the door. When I called they said the 4 hinges and the door lock would cost $411.00 plus freight. They mis lead you and over charge for parts. They also shorted bolts to finish putting together the building.
We are looking to form a Class Action in Ontario- Yes aware of inter-provincial and USA losses however we need to file in the Superior Court under the Rules of Civil Procedure RSO 1992 to get class action certified
We have retained all the damaged classic cars and trucks along with destroyed parts and tools
By all means contact us via messenger to this page https://www.facebook.com/FutureSteelBuildingsFail/
Raped me. 28000 should have let the 7100 dollar deposit go for the 30×36 with no base plates lied about it being pre orderd and canceled said everthing inincluded to bolt it down. I got the veterans with disability discount gonna have to make you tube video. Flat out fraud
I made a $3375 down payment. Day later was told engineering stated the building wouldn't work in my area due to Guage of steel. They tried to me to pay a difference of roughly $2600 for the steel which I refused. Then talked in.to a new contract slightly larger building for $500 more that was correct for the area or they would give me the original with corrected Guage. Bad feelings just kept cing to me about this company. They didn't get me the engineering plans within 10 days I needed for my contractor as agreed. Today I called paypal to file a dispute for.downpayment refund. Also wrote to the salesman and said I was cancelling and stayed firm through the 3 emails he wrote back with excuses. These engineering plans should be standard and available. I told salesman in last email that as stated in previous emails I canceled the building and will not be accepting. It's the 3rd of July and delivery scheduled for the 20th. No plans and salesman is saying 15-20 days for the plans. This deal really stinking! High pressure sales, will do anything to try not to let you cancel. Now to see how the paypal dispute works out, and if not then directly to my bank.
Hello
We also are fighting them on a 4000 deposit return. They wanted us to go half and half on the deposit cause of the cost they are out on blueprints. I rebutted that and they sent us a contract wanting is to sign away 1000 of our deposit but the contract says that we need to make sure us, our heirs, executors, administrators, and legal counsel of us and our successors are under gag order...THEY HAVE nerve to be shady and want us to make our heirs liable if they even speak bad of their company...no sir. I have more than enough documentation on breach of contract on their end as well as broken verbal aggrements and contradiction of statements from documented calls. We would have taken the 3000 to be done with it had we not had had wisdom to understand what this contract means. It's sad
So far,
Opened dispute with PayPal,
Filed complaint with attorney generals office in my state
Filed a complaint with the FBI at Ic3.gov
After 1.5 months and a lot of calls e mails to PayPal, I won my case and received my $ back. Hopefully this company has been booted off the platform.
Kyle Spellman and Moe Arthur
Lied to me, tricked me and scammed me. Can't wait to see these feaudsters go under.
