George Brazil Air Conditioning & Heating Harlan F

Harlan F. thoroughly completed my 6 month AC/Heating checkup. Harlan cleaned and checked both of the AC units on the side of my home, he checked the air ducts in my attic, and he changed the 4 AC filters in my home. When I asked him about the rooms at both extremities of my home being warmer or cooler, depending on the season, Harlan explained airflow balancing, and even closed a few vents for me to improve this issue. Harlan took pictures and sent them to me to show me dirt and dust build up in the air ducts and vents, and he wrote up recommendations for cleaning and sealing the air ducts in my attic sometime in the future. I appreciate that these recommendations were explained without pressure or urgency, which I've experienced with technicians. I appreciate that Harlan did not rush and took his time for this routine maintenance appointment, which is why he deserves a five star review.

I have been happy with the service that i have gotten from all the people that have come to my house. I had an air conditioner and a heat pump installed and they cleaned up everything. They came out yesterday and checked everything out to make sure it was working and they cleaned the filters. I am all set with them for 10 years and as I am 81, I probably don't have to worry after that.

EXCELLENT SERVICE !Appointment was for our Annual AC SYSTEM for Maintenance Visit & CLEANING on 02/10/2022.The Tech arrived early AM & on-time at our home in ***. Cleaned Outdoor Coil, Drain Clean, Indoor Coil Clean, Blower Clean & then Tested / checked out the Unit Running both *** Was completely Thorough. Kept us informed of the work being performed.When he completed the job, he vacuumed the floor of his work area & left everything CLEAN & neat. He was *** We were more than *** with the High Quality of his Service. Thank you once again George Brazil !

George Brazil Air Conditioning & Heating We purchased two brand new units from them 3 years ago

We purchased two brand new units from them 3 years ago. Weve had one die on us every single summer since. It takes them forever to come out and look at it. Furthermore, weve scheduled yearly services and they always cancel. We called in April this year for our yearly service and they have cancelled 4 times. Supposedly they are coming out this Monday unless they cancel Monday morning again. In the meanwhile the downstairs unit just went out. We picked them, even though their price was higher than the other companies we got quotes from because of reviews, and their serving and warranty programs were better. If you want my opinion, go somewhere else. Its not worth it. At this point we may forgo all the warranty and services and just hire someone else to come look at these two brand new units. AC units are not cheap and to have such a bad experience is just awful. What takes the cake is that they just dont care. I cannot believe all these people giving them good reviews. Are you kidding me?

I scheduled an appointment with an electrician to repair some outlets and a hot-water heater timer. The soonest they could get to me was 6 days out Tuesday 12/14. They gave me a time window of 10AM to 6PM. I got a curtesy call around 10:30 Tuesday and was told I was on their schedule. They couldnt give me an updated timeframe for the electrician arrival. I called them around 1:30 and was told I was still on the schedule. I called again around 4 and was told the same thing. At 5:45 I called and was finally transferred to the scheduler and was told the electrician wouldnt be able to get to me, they were over booked and they wanted to reschedule me 5 days out. I had a few a few choice words with the scheduler and overall service. I took off work so the electrical work could be done. They left me hanging and could have informed me much earlier in the day. Also they wanted to reschedule me out 5 days when an electrician should have been at my house the next day. Extremely poor customer service. I will not deal with *** in the future... I would like to give 1/2 Stars...

CHARGED $285 FOR ONE CONTACTOR. WHEN I CALLED TO ASK FOR EXPLANATION OF CHARGED, I SPOKE WITH MICHAEL,"THE ONLY ONE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE". HE TOLD ME I NEEDED PERMISSION TO SPEAK ON MY AUNT BEHALF, WHICH I DID HAVE HER CALL. MICHAEL SAID "IT COULD HAVE BEEN HER" IT WENT DOWNHILL FROM THERE. I ASKED IF HE WOULD BE WILLING TO ADJUST THIS AND REFUND HER SOME OF THE COST. BILL HAD BEEN PAID. VERY CONFRONTATIONAL. ASKED IF I COULD CHANGE A CAPACITOR, I SAID YES, MICHAELS RESPONSE "WHY DID'NT SHE CALL YOU" . SHE DID CALL CAL ME BECAUSE SHE DIDNT HAVE CONFIDENCE IN GEORGE BRAZIL ANYMORE. A CAPACITOR IS $6 WHOLESALE, $20 RETAIL. 35 mfd. I WILL CONTINUE TO TELL THIS INJUSTICE DONE TO MY AUNT. I HAVE CONNECTED HER TO A REPUTABLE CONTRACTOR FROM NOW ON. THEY NOW HAVE ONE LESS CUSTOMER LESS TO HUSTLE. MY CALL FELL ON DEAF EARS. BECAUSE CUSTOMERS ARE IGNORANT OF COST OF PARTS DOESNT MAKE IT RIGHT TO STICK IT TO THEM. FIND OUT IF SERVICE TECHS WORK ON COMMISSION OR ARE HOURLY. THAT WILL WEED OUT THE PREDATORS.

Ive been a VIP customer for years and can tell the company has hired and trained the best people recently. Today I received a kind call beforehand from the lead field guy so they could be best prepared for my visit. Then *** arrived on time for a routine maintenance inspection of AC units as part of my VIP membership. He was very professional, knowledgeable and provided the most thorough service and is the best George Brazil tech Ive ever had. Id like to request him every time! He not only did the full inspection (previous techs only did 1/2 of what he did today) he took his time to explain to me the components of my heating, cooling and HVAC systems and how to best care for and maintain them for the long run. Thanks George Brazil for doing right by me and for recruiting the best people, youve earned a customer for life!

My dealings with George Brazil have been disappointing. The rep/serviceman I dealt with was ***. He is a slick customer! First, he told me my system was going to need repairs soon, and he talked me into buying a 2-year "insurance" policy that would cover all repairs, if needed. It cost a couple thousand dollars. Secondly, I mentioned that I was going to get my roof re-sealed. He said he and a *** were "experts" and would redo it at a lower cost. I said OK, but when I saw the terrible job they did pressure washing my roof, I knew I had to go with someone else (which I did!). Third, every time I get seasonal maintenance on the unit, I'm told I need to pay an extra $130 (above the $89 base price) for cleaning it! I would think that any maintenance plan should include the cost to clean the unit if that's needed. I have the feeling that single, elderly women may be targets for unsavory practices by this company. I would rather deal with a company that isn't trying to take advantage of vulnerable people.

George Brazil Air Conditioning & Heating When *** " preaches" customer satisfaction is number1, they should consul with George Brazil first!

When *** " preaches" customer satisfaction is number1, they should consul with George Brazil first! We contracted to have a new AC/Heat system installed by them on May 17. The next day at 6:45am the workers were here to start. They busted butt all day to install the system, only to find there was an air flow problem to one section of the house. They tried everything they could on that day to correct it. They were not able to, and refused to accept payment for the system until it was working to *** satisfaction. Fast forward 4 trips later to today, 6/7. @ more workers arrived today and went right to work. One left to get additional parts then were already ordered and we have air to the *** house again !. My wife called the business office and even with the 4 trips and additional parts the price is still at the original quote. Thank You to George Brazil and the entire staff there for all the hard work you did to ensure our " Customer Satisfaction" ! *** DONE !

was excellent! She was very informative about what caused our AC to go out and explained the solution and what to do if the same issue happened again. She definitely knows her craft and George Brazil is lucky to have her on their team. Very happy with this experience and would definitely recommend her!

George Brazil Air Conditioning & Heating Had duct sealing done

Had duct sealing done. VincentP and TysonK were the assigned crew. They arrived on time, got right to work and worked diligently. VincentP took the time to explain the whole process, explain materials used and explained how the improvements should reduce our electric bill by increasing the efficiency of our systems. He shared the before and after "scores" of my two air conditioning systems. My 3 ton unit went form losing 83 CFM (cubic feet per minute) to only losing 41 CFM. My 5 ton unit went from losing 187 CFM to 39 CFM... A huge difference that should be embarrassing to the original installer. Vincent was truly excited to report these improvements which indicate to me that he really cares about the work he does. Both Vincent and TysonK were quick, dillignet and respectful of my home. They put down drop cloths at every vent and even put plastic over my desk and computer. When they were done they cleaned everything up and even went around with a broom and dust pan. Fantastic. I highly recommend George Brazil and VincentP and TysonK as your crew.

George Brazil Air Conditioning & Heating I purchased my unit from George Brazil in June and needed service back in May

I purchased my unit from George Brazil in June and needed service back in May. I called them due to that fact so they have the warranty information. The tech came and said I needed a new fan motor and capacitor. He said he could order it and come back or for an extra ? he could use one off the truck. That should have been my first clue but I did not want to wait and be with *** so I said just fix it. After paying the 961.93 I called them to check on whether this was warranty covered. Spoke to *** who told me they were giving me a credit after returning to the line of 175.20. He says that he explained that that was for the parts but i do not remember him saying anything which is why I was confused and called back to speak to *** on 6/7. I gave him info and he was to research and call back. He did not so called today and spoke to *** which is when he explained that he told me that the 175.00 was for the parts. My question to him is " So you are charging me $786. for labor? The tech was here for an hour perhaps two" How can you justify charging over $300 an hour for labor! Then after all that he tried to get me to get a service contract..ha."Fool me once shame on you..fool me twice shame on me" not going to happen. Needless to say will not be using their services again.

I purchased a 3-year *** contract with *** to maintain my home furnace and air conditioning units, once a year for each. I scheduled my *** visit through the *** office and was given a day and 4-hour time for the visit. On the day of the scheduled visit, I was called by the office and told my appointment would have to be rescheduled due to high emergency calls received.Two weeks later, I received a call from the *** office telling me they had an opening the next week for my rescheduled *** visit. Again, I was given the date and 4-hour time for the visit. I agreed to the rescheduled date and time and made myself available for the *** visit. On the day of the scheduled visit, I was again called by the office and told my appointment would have to be rescheduled due to high emergency calls received.I take time off from work to be home when the *** visit is scheduled. When *** cancels my visit inside the scheduled day and time, it impacts me financially.I am now waiting for my third rescheduled *** visit (if they don't cancel that one too?).I do not recommend ***."

We had George Brazil come to give us a quote on a new air conditioner. We chose them over other companies because of your website and seeing that they had won the Torch Award. They have been nothing but complete professionals from day one. Mike came and spoke with us regarding our new system. He was sincere and upfront as well. He was very helpful and patient with our decision making process. We decided to have our ducts cleaned after the install took place. Calvin and Danny were the techs that took care of this part of the process. They were very professional and courteous. Everyone from George Brazil did impeccable work. They put on shoe protectors before entering the home. They laid down professional grade rugs with rubber padding over all of our floors. They laid plastic over all of our furniture and took time to do the extra prep work in order to prepare the home for the job. I was impressed by the fact that they called when they said that they would and came at the exact appointment time. They had a company pick up the old parts and garbage from our install and even paid to have a restoration company repair and prepare our attic entry for easier access for further maintenance and upkeep. Everyone from George Brazil has been extremely courteous, friendly, and professional. We would highly recommend them to anyone. Mike, Calvin, and Danny, and our installers too, thank you!

George Brazil Air Conditioning & Heating WOW! What a great company to do business with!

WOW! What a great company to do business with!My 2 Heat pumps on my *** trying to keep them alive and going sometimes a week or more each summer with no AC in the Phoenix area when it is I decided I need a good reliable system. PROBLEM: There are so many companies in the valley and yet most don't seem to be able to handle the workload. And from reading reviews many are not reliable and don't always back up their work. By chance I contacted George Brazil through the ComplaintsBoard.com site. I looked at their reviews and especially how they handled customer concerns. They contacted me the very evening I made a request online. They quickly scheduled a free estimate the very next morning. (one of my 2 AC's were down). The sales rep (who also is a Tech) was awesome. He was very calm and patient with us and explained in detail the 2 main types of systems. (I learned more about HVAC during his visit than all my research online plus having a friend in HVAC) After his great presentation with no pressure at all but mainly being an educator for us we decided to get he 2 stage system as well as the add-ons to help with allergy control. If figured if they could get the job done in a couple weeks seeing that during summer everyone seems overwhelmed but when the sales rep said they could get the job done the very next morning (Saturday morning) I was shocked! And sure enough around 7am or so the crew showed up safely masked and wearing protective shoe covering in the house and even rolling out the red carpet to protect our floors they went at it with great speed and precision. And it was a big job removing the 2 heat pumps and two huge air handlers in the attic plus installing new thermostats. I'm not sure how many workers came but it seemed like an army in 3 or 4 trucks. They were all awesome workers and all very kind and polite and moved at incredible speed. Within about 6 or so hours they had it all done! And cleaned up everything and all the new equipment looked and worked great! Then the main Tech explained everything in detail to us and took care of everything.Plus with the type system we got it includes 3 years of service twice a year!
