This is a scam and has been reported by others on [redacted] dot com. I am going to post a link and hope you get it, otherwise just search for ge capital bank on their website or Google "ge money bank auto loan scam" and you will find info on it.
You are NOT actually speaking with GE Capital Bank, as a matter of fact, they are now Synchrony Bank and changed their names months ago. This is a spoof company. The phone number you are calling is NOT to GE Capital Bank! I don't even think they do auto loans now. Sorry. :-( Try Capital One, they are great and work with all credit situations. Good luck.

This is an excerpt from the BBB of a statement provided by GE Capital Bank, now Synchrony Bank with a warning about this scam. GE does not even offer auto loans. Here is the excerpt and can be found on the BBB website in Ohio. Their main phone number is [protected] and they are located in Kettering, Ohio.
GE Capital provides private label and bankcard credit programs to retailers and consumers in the United States and Canada. They do not provide personal loans via the purchase or use of prepaid money cards, nor do they call or email potential customers to request personal information to establish prepaid cards or personal loans. Offers of such loans appear to be an attempt to fraudulently obtain money or access consumers' confidential financial information and is not associated with, authorized or sponsored by GE Capital or GE Capital Retail Bank. If you believe you have been a victim, you should contact local authorities. More information is available at ftc.gov.
As a reminder, to protect your identity and the security of your financial accounts, never give your personal credit card or other financial information to people who call or email you without verifying who they are.
