As a new customer with Genco Martketplace, our first order incorrect and disappointing. We had placed an order for 2 pallets, 48 boxes of Genco advertised Health & Beauty Aids. With complete trust in Genco, our payment was wired immediately. Upon taking inventory, we discovered 11 boxes of expired, damaged and melted candy and 8 boxes of expired Boost Energy Drink and expired baby formula (photos attached). After serveral discussions with the sales agent, we have unable to get this matter resolved. We are continuing to try and get someone to address this problem so we can continue to do business.
Please call [protected] to resolve this issue. We are always more than willing to understand an issue and help to resolve it when possible.
Thanks
Genco is a big scam. I have called them many times to try and solve problems with there product and they are by far the rudest most unprofessional company I have Ever worked with. BEWARE GENCO IS A SCAM FRAUD COMPANY
genco is very unprofessional and does not care about the "small guys" -scam company BEWARE!
thank you for your complaint, i was almost about to do business with them but now i know better.
Each area of Genco has a Sales Manager. I have to say if you stick with the .com orders, you will be okay. If you purchase a Sears order, you will definitely be ripped off. Yes, there are people there who don't want to deal with the small people, such as Vince Curtin. He would rather prevent you from purchasing from Genco than to resolve items missing. I was missing 2 pallets on my order and 1 of them should have had a whole patio set with cushions. Needless to say, it was not there. Somebody thought it would be nice to have. The freight company documented only picking up 7 pallets and one pallet they thought was considered 1 table. I should have received 8 pallets. After submitting the proper forms for refund, and documentation from the freight company, I was still denied. I then was connected with a supervisor who said that they would give me a credit toward a Sears Order, but why would I do that again; First of all, they ripped me off on my merchandise, and second of all the merchandise that I did receive was either broken, not worken or believe it or not empty paint cans. When I stated that I was getting the BBB involved, the original sales manager, wrote the Amazon supervisor via email a note to not let me order anything. I am trying to build up my online sales and want to continue doing business with the legitimate side of this company. After speaking with Mike Woods who handles the Amazon.com orders, I feel a lot better. The Egotistic people such as Vince Curtin will soon be out the door when Genco gets wind of how he is treating customers, even if they are low on the chain.
I can't believe that there are companies who still function like this one. While some are decent to deal with, there are some egotistcle men who think that things should be different and don't have time for the small guy. What gets me is that this guy basically sent a message to everyone not to do business with me because he couldn't resolve my situation. I was obviously missing merchandise from my shipment and even showed proof from the freight carrier. They still didn't refund my money. They offered me a credit but only toward a SEARS order which we all know is junk. They would not let me put it toward my dependable Amazon.com orders.
I have been buying genco truckloads for over 5 yrs now and have had really good luck with the merchandise I have received, some loads have been better than others, but nothing like the load I got last week. Last week I got one of Genco's "better electronics" loads that cost me $21, 000, and got a bunch of junk. The load should have been labeled salvage, not store returns, because a quarter of the load value was broken and smashed big screen tv's. My broker which deals with genco on a daily basis couldn't get them to do anything for me, or to even talk to me, all they have to say is that it's sold as is.
I WOULD JUST LIKE TO WARN EVERYONE, DO NOT BUY GENCO'S SO CALLED BETTER ELECTRONICS TRUCKLOADS, YOU WILL DEFINETLY LOSE MONEY ON THESE LOADS.
Wow, frankly that is why I mostly stay away from electronics and certain dealers. As said before try LCSWholesale.com for single pallets, 100% satisfaction guarantee, truckloads available too even I never bought more than single pallet consumer electronics. You should always be. Are up dealing and buying truck loads, especially of not manifested or if you are not provided the chance to even physically see the merchandise first. Anyways looks like I'll put another dealer on the "extra caution". Good luck guys, hopefully you will resolve the issue.
I too have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Vince Curtin. He is very rude and talks down to customers. He acts as though he is better than everyone and is a real smart ###. I will never deal with him or the company again. His behavior does not surprise me as it runs in his family. His sister is just like him and is a super Biotch!
Based on my experience with this company I wouldn’t recommend anyone to deal with them .Don’t trust them with your business, they scammed me several times and I am finally parting a way from them but it wasn’t easy when you built a customer base that keep asking for the type of products this company carry.
Very rude people to deal with from top down, they never acknowledge any wrong doing and they threat customers with blocking their accounts because they you know if you stop buying from them you will lose you customers meaning you will lose your business. I think we need to bring the issue to sears and other stores and hopefully they take the account from them or they clean up their acts. This Vince guy is a real joke and he is a very rude person, I think we need to make the top management including sears aware of these acts assuming that the top senior management any different but it’s worth the try. Maybe its time for a class action case against this company with the millions of dollars they scam through shorting products
I agree with all of you who had or has had a bad experience with Genco. I had the same bad experience with them. I purchased a load for $8900 and most of the items were junk/salvage. In addition, I missed 22 items and they were the good stuff (ipod touches). I called the sales rep (Ray Gallagher) and he told me he'll get in touch with warehouse to find out about the missing items and he never got back to me. Subsequent calls were no help and I even called the manager (Vince Curtain) there and he never returned my calls. I reported
Genco to Better Business Bureau (BBB), but Genco refused to resolve the dispute. My advice to you all - KEEP REPORTING GENCO TO BBB. Right now, they have an A rating. This is a bad company.
I ended up losing about $4000 on that deal. So beware of Genco! That's why they only accept wire taransfer because with wire transfers you can't file a claim with your bank.
Processing a Genco Sears truckload has ALWAYS required that you have a dumpster handy, but these truckloads used to be 'raw' and available at 10% of retail - and they USED to include the majority of the manifested item, though often FAR from expectations. We've had large-screen TVs that showed up as a remote control ONLY, 7 Samsung Home Theater systems that showed up as seven busted up display components, etc. As truckload prices rose, we even had one truckload that should have contained a very nice 20' x 10' wood shed - turned out that we paid $4, 000.00 for an assembly manual ONLY! Genco NEVER refunds their errors.
We halted buying from Genco over two years ago because their prices kept climbing while quality declined - Genco had gotten real aggressive about selling the good stuff on NoBetterDeals and treating palette/truckload buyers as THEIR dumpsters. We imagine this has gotten much worse since then.
Never ever buy from a wholesaler that cherry picks their merchandise. What I mean by this is that GENCO operates an online store where they sell individual products to consumers. Common sense tells you that GENCO will always pull the best products to supply their online store.
what other sources are out there that have as much available? i was doing good with these guys until last nov. its been all junk so i try to buy the heavy stuff at least get some guarantee on scrap prices lol, however i do not know of a better established place with reasonable prices, most brokers are straight up bending you over a table and cherry picking hmmmmmmm
I lost $12000 over one pallet. They are selling salvages as un-inspected items. Please gather here to report Genco

Wow all these complaints and no rebutalls, I just won an auction prior to winning it I saw that there were a few complaints on another site and I figured hey no way am I going to pay for any junk, so I contacted Genco and this is the response I got,
hank you for contacting GENCO Marketplace.
We do appreciate your inputs as we take them seriously and forward them to the proper department for review.
In response to your concerns, the majority of cartons are created directly from NoBetterDeal.com merchandise that consist of a different type of merchandise than bulk liquidation pallets.
Please understand that we liquidate over $5.2 million of retail inventory daily and concerns such as these are few and far between. We manage to maintain an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau because of the sheer size of our business versus the number of complaints, which we do our best to address. In regards to us selling our better inventory on NoBetterDeal.com, this is partially true because our buyers get what they pay for with us. The same item will be more expensive to be new and sold to the consumer than open box and sold in a large liquidation quantity. That being said, the products in our premium pallets and cartons, such as the one you bid on, are that higher grade inventory. You pay a bit more for better products in more narrowly sorted & premium categories.
Note: Regarding your bid, once it is in place we cannot withdraw it. If you win the carton, you will have to notify us at that time so we can cancel the order before payment. If you do not win, you do not need to worry about it.
Should you have further questions, feel free to give us a call.
Best regards,
Jose Cuglieri | Customer Service Representative, GENCO Marketplace
now after reading all your complaints, there is no way in hell that I will go through with the deal, and I also reccieved an email stating that I won the auction, well I do not care at this point, I am a single mom trying to make some money not get ripped off ... thanks
I bought a truckload a couple weeks ago of amazon.com. I previously worked for a company that would get these loads in and they seemed pretty decent, although quality was declining.
Well, half of the load I had to throw out. The rest was either used or broken. I'll end up losing about 5k. Genco's quality has really gotten bad and sooner or later, their warehouses will be completely full of junk and they'll be forced to throw it out themselves instead of pawning it off of on someone else. You can only screw so many people. Most of the stuff I got were inspected, opened about 3 to 4 times, then finally deemed junk and salable to the next sucker. Getting the nobetterdeal.com invoices really ticked me off. Not only am I getting junk, but I'm getting previously cherry picked items that were then demolished in a previous shipment. "They won't believe what you paid!" HAH! The irony.
The better business plan for their sake would be to NOT cherry pick, and sell like they were doing 3 or so years ago. Back then, the consumer would make money, and they were moving everything out. I would rather pay 35% for good product instead of 20% for junk.
They will eventually learn when no one is buying the junk. If I cannot find a reliable liquidation company, I'll be better off buying brand new wholesale and make 10%.
I have been doing business with them for the past 5 years and this will be the last. They advertise their loads as un-inspected customer returns and when you get them it's all salvaged goods. I have been in this business for 12 years and I know the percentage. Remember one thing, you are not their customer. Sears, Amazon, Walmart are their customers. They don't care about you. You are just a fish waiting to take the bait.
They cherry pick all their good HDTVS and sell them on nobetterdeals and unload their "dumpster" goods to us guys. If they ask you to wire them money just say "NO". you will never see your money again.
This is what you get for buying from Genco
Buyer beware

Genco is complete scammers. See below how they treated us as well.
WARNING- GENCO IS A SCAM. Deal with them at your own risk ...
On June 21st, 2013, I purchased a load from Genco Marketplace. It was sold to me as an Overstock load (not returns or salvage). I paid $20, 000 USD for it the same day it was ordered, it cost me another $8, 000 with shipping, duties, taxes, etc. Genco had various minor issues finding the payment and pushed to have the load picked up before they closed their Ohio facility. No big deal.
The shipment of 19 skids arrived at my shop On July 15th, 2013 and I immediately noticed it was in very bad shape. Most of the skids looked as if a dinosaur had eaten them ( I have many pics), and many were mangled and bent beyond salvage. I notified Genco the following day July 16th. At that point, I was unaware of the worst part, which I shortly discovered after inspecting and cataloguing the load.
After inspection, it became very clear that I was either being scammed or Genco had made a huge error somewhere. I was missing 75% of the items I had purchased. Of the 25% that did arrive, only half was salvageable. This is a serious issue that a reputable company would want to look into asap. Not so for Genco. I informed my sales rep (Ray Gallagher) at Genco Marketplace on July 19th via phone message and email and received no response.
On July 22nd we completed inspecting the last few skids and our suspicions of having been shortchanged were confirmed. At this point I checked our Bill of Lading and found that the shipment was actually short 4, 000lbs (of 13, 500lbs). I immediately sent a follow-up email to my sales rep. He requested a list of what was missing and damaged. On July 23rd we sent him a complete list of damaged and missing items with a summary and pictures. No response was received.
On July 25th, we sent another follow-up email requesting an update. No response. July 26th, I decided to go above my sales rep and phoned their customer support and spoke with a lady by the name of Carol. I passed on all the info and was promised a response. None was received, so I followed up with an email addressed to both customer support and my sales rep. No responses received.
I phoned again to customer support and was passed on to Vince Curtain, Director of Sales, and left him a voicemail explaining the situation. I received a brief voicemail the following day explaining that the “alledged issue” was under review. I called back several times and left him a voicemail to please contact me, no response. I finally got ahold of my sales rep by phone (same day I filed a BBB complaint, hmm). He assured me they wanted to keep doing business with me and that they would review the issue. I asked what sort of timeline I could expect for a response, and was told he was not sure. At this point I was becoming increasingly concerned at the lack of interest in the problem, and that they were ignoring the majority of my emails and calls, and that I had been given no explanation or timeline for a response to my inquiries.
I finally had my lawyer draft a letter, to which did get a response from Vince saying only that they had upheld their portion of the communication, and that the issue was under review. I also filed a Better Business Bureau complaint, and received the same one line response “the issue is under review”. What did this review entail? When would it provide me and answer? More importantly, what were they going to do about selling me a product and not delivering it?
By August 8th, almost a month since I first reported the issue, NO ONE has contacted me for additional information. NO ONE has taken the initiative to discover what has gone wrong. NO ONE has made any effort whatsoever to rectify the problem, except to infrequently answer my calls/emails when pressed by my lawyer or the Better Business Bureau. I had my lawyer send a second email to the CEO, a Mr. Robert Auray Jr warning that legal action would be taken if no responses were received. Today, August 13th we received a response saying that their position is that the load was “shipped in tact”. No explanation. Not one person phoned me to ask questions about the missing and damaged shipment. Is this how you investigate a claim? This is how you ignore one. Genco was very communicative when it came to taking my money, but has avoided my calls and emails and now says essentially ‘tough luck’.
The photos below show 2 of the damaged skids ... almost all of them were like this. That was the least of the issues ... most of the load never arrived.
AVOID GENCO MAKETPLACE ...
Yeah avoid Genco at all cost. You will get burned. They said their HDTV's were "untested customer returns". Look at those pictures I attached. That's how I got them. They had their people go through the pile of HDTV's and made sure I received sets with broken screens. They should had labeled these as "salvaged" because they were all broken.
Genco is a complete scam. I purchased a shipment from them of miscellaneous overstock items. When it arrived, 75% of it was missing, and what did arrive was damaged and mangled. When I showed them pictures and my inspection notes, as well as the fact that the bill of lading showed only 9, 500 lbs out of 26, 000 lbs, they simply told me it was their position that the shipment had been sent in tact. The reality is, they did not care one ounce, and probably knew beforehand that what they sent was not what they sold me. I am suing them in small claims court, and if anyone would like to send a letter to me describing their experience that I can use in court, It would be greatlty appreciated. AVOID GENCO AT ALL COSTS.
For those of you that got scammed by Genco. You might want to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. I know they might not do much, but if enough of us file a complaint they will launch an investigation into Genco's trade practices. Just google file ftc complaint.
I worked at genco in Antioch Tn. the warehouse sucks. very dirty and junky. they don't care about the pallets in there or people. all the manager does is watch the employees on the camera to see who tries to take those nasty junk in there. when they ship you should see how the forklift drivers destroy and drag the pallets. most pallets are thrown on top the other and mashed up. they don't respect their customers at all. the manager there is rick, he's a pig very rude, and fires people he don't like every day, the ones who have sense and talks about how they treat customers stuff, they say oh its nothing the customers know its salvage, many times customers pay for pallets they don't have or cant find because the warehouse is too junky and full of garbage. what they have the salvation army will refuse because its poor, dirty, broken or expired junk, the rats in there are bigger than me. when customers complain they say its nothing because they will be back, someone needs to do something about genco in Antioch Tn. its most disgusting! God will punish them greatly for the way they rob and treat people there .am sorry for the people who work there through the staffing agencies. God is looking down and he will punish the wicked.
Genco Marketplace- a company of thieves and liars.
. This company and their representitives, over an extended period of time, have shown to be without scruples and are totally dishonest. Reps continually said things that were later denied and the quality of the loads devolved into a complete joke. The shortages were epidemic; and when the shortages were documented by a complete inventory of the load, Genco always had some lame excuse to weasel out of what would be an embarrassing situation for any other reputable company.. But not Genco; it was just "business" as usual. When Genco is questioned about the continuing, pervasive shortages you will be told "
that's part of the salvage business". Uh, not. When I pay for something I want to either receive what I've paid for or get a refund. Anything else is just flat out stealing. Because of all the shortages I did some checking around and found that the real reason for the shortages and it isn't pleasant but right in line with the overall "business" plan of Genco to rip off as many people as possible under the guise of "salvage business".
Should you choose to deal with this company after reading all the negativity, then you arte on your own. The phrase BUYER BEWARE was never more appropriate. Should you decide to try for yourself, make sure you avoid Jose in the customer service department and Travis, an account rep. Both of them would lie when the truth sounded better.
Just got a Home Depot Load from B-stock Solutions, Turns out its Genco who is selling Home Depot goods on Bstock. OMG if i just had known. Everything to the last item is heavily damaged. Everything is cherry picked by them. EVERYTHING IS DAMAGED! Bstock will not refund this scam.
When you receive a shipment there should be a Bill of Lading that you would use to compare against what you actually ordered. If the Bill Of Lading does not match you ordered, I would not accept the shipment. From my experience once you sign for the products you own it. Now if GENCO was a customer friendly business they would find ways to solve these problems. Like for instance not accepting full payment until the shipment is confirmed. Just my two cents..
Dear Nick DiPaola from Genco.com,
I noticed that after I placed this order you have been ignoring me and not responding to my requests. I want to return or at least get a refund on this order because it is literally ALL salvage junk. No matter what you touch in the order you can clearly see that is has been stated that it was broken/defective.
With that being said, you claimed that the pallets were 6-8 ft tall. Guess what? none of them are "6-8 feet tall" as a matter of fact over 10 of the pallets are little open gaylord boxes filled with broken merchandise.
You also made a claim that the load is valued at $50, 000-$60, 000 and that is DEFINITELY not true.
It was also deceiving that your email stated " GREAT MIX OF PRODUCT -- POSITIVE FEEDBACK!". How can this be positive feedback? EVERYTHING is broken. I was promised the type of merchandise that I saw in the pictures instead I have received garbage and I am at a severe lost.
My total purchase was over $6500 and this load I received isn't worth over $1000.

This is what an Amazon trailer purchased from Genco will look.
They are sorting customer returns, repackaging& resaleing as a new in market and any item leftover should go to electronic recycling company and they need to pay for it BUT this Company posting salvage items as customer return, non inspected items, not tested items, remarketable items, sold as is and sample images LOL, on online auctions like sears overstock auction... . and always they have somebody to put higher bid to make you increase your bid on that auction.when you win the auction and you pay you will receive totally salvage items .and you may spend some money to get raid of it . THIS COMPANY IS BIGEST FRUAD COMPANY .
