Lost my money with them
I recently signed up for free email address on the website www.gmx.co.uk. It was mentioned that the website was for free, but they charged my card, and I didn’t find their contact information, because they didn’t provide it on the website. Maybe someone has any idea how to track the owners of this website and return money back, please contact me then or leave a comment. Thanks.
AWARD SMS
GOT A SMS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT FROM GMX
"CONGRATULATIONS YOUR WON A 9.8 M USD FOR WORLD BANK AWARD TO CLAIM THE AWARD CONTACT Mrs Hahn Doyle via [protected]@gala.net "
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I love GMX mail, however they have a stupid quirk about logging you out after a few minutes for so called "security" reasons. After logging back in, you're greeted with an obnoxious message that basically says, "you didn't log out properly". I've never had this with any other e-mail and I think it's ridiculous and unnecessary. Once I was logged out just as I was selecting my contacts.
Scams come from scammers, not the e-mail provider.
how can you send a txt message that i have won 9.8m and i jst want know if its true.
hi my name is vinay sanjay kumar and i have received this txt message from GMX.I WANT TO KNOW IF ITS TRUE OR NOT.
I think these people make complain about this Mrs Hahn Doyle or who ever she or he is someone should trap her down and charge her for fooling us around and i love to see her hang so she could feel how painful to be hurt.
i also got the same sms are they scamming us?
I've just received the same txt I would love to know how they get our numbers This however is the first time i've had one of these txts sent to me.And i'm no fool even though i'm down with no money and could do with the 9.8 million hell yeah. But what do they think people are. Has anyone ever found this mrs Hahn Doyle and reported her and charged her with fraud. Cause somone should.
same here it is a scam. don't send messages to people if you can't deliver what u promise. you hurt people how have dreams to fulfill like traveling, university or helping a family member its heart breaking, its really not nice and delete my number.
you are a bunch of ###ING CLOWNS
Yes definitely a scam I would like to know how these people got my number!
Receipt of scam text message
I received a text message at 6.37am stating "Congratulations your mobile has won US$9.8M for World Bank Award. To claim contact Mrs Ann Doyle Via [protected]@gala.net. Obviously this is a scam, as who the hell would text that information to someone if it was true! In Australia we are pretty laid back, however not that much. People be warned. Someone has to stop these people for wasting others time on crap like this.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
same happened2me, rip off artists like these need tracking down, they are probly hackers n crackers. wiremu
I beleive that this type of scamming has become part of our lives, and we who have electronic gadgets which are used for communication via phone line or Internet leaves an open line for
evil little people to use it for scamming. We all have to be smarter, which I beleive isn't difficult. Why? Because those type of people very rarely have "Common Nous". Notice we are all
getting the idea now what to look for in an electronic scam. Just be vigilant and keep reporting because reporting helps other people realise that they are not alone. Sometimes
seeing that someone else received the same message helps us to realise it isn't true and to deal with it properly.
Hey funny thing I received one 13/03/11 at 13 minutes past One this morning it says Congratulations your mobile has won US $7.8M for commonwealth games award.

scam
I received the same text today "Congratulations your mobile have won US$5.8M for FIFA 2014 Int'l Award. To claim contact Mrs.J.Mcafee via [protected]@yahoo.com.hk". I live in New Zealand also.
It seemed like a scam - read; 'poor English'. I wonder who Mrs.J.Mcafee is? Ha ha ha. I wonder if she knows the McAfee Security people?!
I see one of the things that McAfee Security Centre sell is an "Identity Protection" - hmmm maybe it would be a good idea to have such a thing!?!?! Mind you, these clowns send us this fictitious junk on our cell phones.
As we say in NZ - If it seems too good to be true...it usually is!
Hopefully no-one will get sucked in and send these people anything.
I hope yahoo.com can do something about them!
Thanks for everyone's post - appreciated!
I am also from NZ and received the text this morning. read over the text and thought "what a load" and then decided to research it to see whether anyone else has received a similar txt as well. So far people all over the world have posted about this text. I'm more concerned about how they have got my number and do they have any other details as well. So far i have discovered there has been various contact names associated with various amounts of money they are offering. for example my text said: "Congratulations your mobile have won US9.8M for World Bank Award. To claim contact Mrs. Hahn Doyle via: wbre@gala.net."I would like to know what they want and how do they go about getting it. How do we stop these scams and stop us from feeling violated of our privacy?

Mobile numbers have probably been computer generated as is done for many "cold call" centres.
Scams like these affect the vulnerable in our society.
Protect your internet account too in case contact awards you with a 'worm' or similar kind of virus.
what is this all about my mobile number winning? does fifa know about this text[s]?

Scammers. Hope they get done. MB
Today at 3.20pm New Zealand time I got this Hongkong text saying the same as all these other complainants.
I found it difficult to believe especially when there is no reply to my email and the other thing I thought was fishy was the grammar. It read 'Congratulations, Your mobile HAVE won instead of HAS won'. At that point I thought some dumb foreigner is trying to pull a fasty. So I decided to look online and lo and behold, look what I found. Many others got the same email. So, yes. I will report it to the investigators and I hope the scammers get caught. Could someone please tell me how they benefit? MB
I got the same message. Thanks, I thought it was a hoax, your comments confirmed it. Marie in New Zealand

RECIEVED A TEXT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT SAYING
"CONGRATULATIONS YOUR MOBILE HAVE WON US$5.8M FOR FIFA 2010 INT'L AWARD. TO CLAIM CONTACT MRS.J.MCAFEE VIA:[protected]@YAHOO.COM.HK"
THAT IS A REALLY SICK PRANK TO PULL ON PEOPLE IN THESE TIMES OF ECONOMIC STRUGLE. I WISH THAT FIFA DOES SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. IT IS REALLY PISSING ME OFF.
I think these pranks to con money out of people are nasty and if they can be stopped they should be.
Wow now I am concerned about receiving my 5.8m with all the above to pay out I would say they will run out of money fast.
i got this text to and agree that this stupid prank should be stopped. i would just like to say thank you to the person who originally complained about this because if i had not searched the company and name before i tried to respond to the text i might have believed that i had won the money.I would just like to say to the stupid person who sent the text if u are going to try and prank people through text you need to learn english so it makes sense and does not have to many stupid grammical errors.

What does this have to do with the GMX email system and provider ?
As i am looking for reviews or complaints on them now as i signed up about 2mths ago and havent seem to have a problem yet even with none of my info in them yet so seems if i was going to get any crap from them it would be straight from them since there is no more info in there for them to get or use. And i haven't received anything at all bad or even emails from them or spammers. Only ones i have got are 4 newsletters which was very professional looking and readable.
way u sending a messages to won a mobile were is mobile pls tell with this contact

money scam using US Postal Service
I receive multiples scams by e-mail telling me I've won the Lottery or a distinct relative has died and I'm rich or my help is needed to cash some multi-million dollar check and I'll be given a large percentage for my troubles. They claim to be consulates charites, banks, generous rich people, ect... Now I've received one saying they are the US Postal System. Maybe you're OK with that but I'm just tired of deleting all these feeble attempts to get my banking info. They want my name, address, phone #'s and of course my saving or checking account numbers. Their address might show Nigeria, England, canada or just about any place. Now they are saying that they are from the US Postal Service which I'd bet my multi-million dollar ATM card they claim is waiting for me that they are lying. You want to make a bet? Pretty straight forward story, easy to understand my compliant I believe.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Someone is using trying to use a GMX email to run a money laundering scam. They try to get others to work for them through email messages and then say they will pay $122, 000 a year and that it is an assistant position. GMX should be checking that out. They are using this email : harold.t@gmx.com
I am civil engineer. And today i received call from gulf of india and he said me that gave all document and i had said that i will say after some time. Here is mail id :- services.hr@gmx.us .
But i think this is frod company. So can any one reply for the same.
I get those in ALL kind of email providers. Yahoo, Gmail, comcast etc... Im not sure if or about gmx but i just started using them and doing reviews now checking them out. They seem like an awesome system so far. Not just for mail but calender and event planning, scheduling etc and plus file storage and sharing as well.
I will most deff be finding out more today. I have used them for like 3 mths now and DO NOT have any of that stuff in there and i have not sent a lot of mail out yet nor uploaded a contact list fully yet. So if it was them themselves. I would of been getting something bad like said above even without my contact list or sending mail. Because then they would be the only ones with my address threw gmx. So doesnt seem to be the company because i have not got anything except 4 newsletters from them and those looked and seemed pretty professional as well.
