Very interesting - I just looked over the weekend - had similar charges. I called them and they were closed over the weekend. So not only did they charge this month - they have been charging my credit card since January. I don't know how I missed it. So I called my credit card company and it's not being charged as revolving which mean monthly someone is entering my information from TLG*GREATFUN. I called them this morning, pushed zero and demanded to speak to a manager. After getting a speal from the woman on the phone about what great offers they can provide to me - BLA BLA - THIS IS A SCAM! Management credited my Visa for the last four months and said I would have to contact Corporate to reverse the other charges. Call them now... Great Fun - [protected] - and their Corporate Fax number is [protected].

I started to book a hotel in California, with Travelocity, for this year's Christmas season. I realized I needed more money in my account before I could do so. I then went on a week's vacation. When I got back I found I had a bill from Great Fun for 11.99. The entire phone # wasn't listed then, so I called the bank, and they closed my debit card, and are sending me a new one, along with a dispute form.

I have never had anything to do with Great fun, except for clicking on their add. Since I don't give my card # usually, it could only be them, (or HSN, which I seriously doubt.)

I called the Phone # on my statement, [protected], and got through to them. The lady said she would refund my 11.99, but was talking about how great of a program they are. She convinced me to let her let me try it for 1 month.

I then googled great fun, and when I saw just how many complaints they have, I called them back to cancel. He said he would do so, after I told him there are pages, and pages of complaints just like mine on the Internet, and there is no way I want to be part of it.

Good luck to all of you getting your money back.

The funny thing is, I called the hotel I was trying to book on Travelocity, which needed the entire amount down, and the hotel booked me for 6 weeks at $2 more a day than travelocity, and only needed the first two weeks down, (which will be taken when I check in.)

I think Great Fun is one of the biggest ripoffs on the Internet today. They are there to take your money, and hope you don't catch it so they can take more.

You don't have to give them your account #. If you charge a room, cruise, or flight, with any of several other companies, you need to check the page carefully before submitting. Apparently, they are on as links to several of the sites. Once you click on it they have your card info.

This is beyond belief! My elderly mom received a post card to "Renew her Membership" and to cancel and avoid a $59.99 semi-annual membership to call [protected]. She gave it to me to handle and of course it just loops you to a recording that they are busy and call back. I got a different # off of a complaint listed here [protected] and hit zero and did get a rep. My mom never uses her credit cards and doesn't use the internet so I was puzzled. According to the person I spoke to, my mom received rebate check in Mar 08 for $8.25 from Chase Manhattan Bank and when she cashed it, got signed up for this service! Still unsure where they charged her as she doesn't have a Chase charge card. I'm running her credit now to see if she got a ccard offer at some point and it is still active. How the hell can this be legal! If I discover she DID get charged somehow it will be getting reversed...

i was going through my moms credit card statements with her the other night (since she has been in the hospital) and i noticed this $119 charge from Complete Home...funny, seeing how she was in the HOSPITAL when the charges were made. she doesn't even own or know how to use the internet so I am very interested to know where these a$$holes got her info.
she is going to call them today to request they credit it back but this is very scary to know they have this info and just charge as they want too.

I wish to file a claim against this company. I called them last month and requested that they cancel my subscription to their services. I was told that they would but it never happened. I have never had a use for their services such as saving at restaurants movie theaters etc. Because I don't eat out at restaurants or go to movie theaters. I have no use for their services.

Would you believe these dirtbags charged my card for 149.99 on a monthly basis. Upon calling them and speaking with someone in Pakistan, I was told that by joining classmates.com I clicked on this offer and agreed to their terms. I asked for a refund and was given a cancelation code. Which they state will occur in one to two billing statements! Huh they have my 150 bucks for this time. We'll see if they really follow through

Let me inform you all of a lil something. I used to be a supervisor there and there are serveral ways that you can be enrolled in the tlg programs. 1. If you receive a 2.50 check in the mail and you go an deposit that check you are giving tlg the authorization to charge your bank account. You may recieve a membership packet and you may not but if you do 9 times out of 10 you threw it away not thinking anything about it. Then if you do not look at your checken accounts that often then you miss the monthely or yearly charges will keep charging until you cancel. 2. If you or anybody still has dialup and are using aol you are a sure fire enrolled into the program especially if you call aol they will enroll you into anyone of the featured products by tlg 3. there was a time when you would get enrolled with a credit card if you ever applied for a cc and they offer you something thats another way they get. 4. ticket master is another good one and see that priceline is now working with them as well. Take it from me its all legal and there is nothing illeagl about it. We as consumer must watch what we click on or sign up for so that you dont get those charges. When calling just make sure that they give you cancellation number which if it hasnt changed should be there number that they clock in with or their operator number.

I too just found charges to my credit card for TLG GreatFun [protected] out of CT. I had absolutely no idea why. I did not give my authorization. I called my credit card company and had them credit me the $12.99 I was charged. Supposedly this is to cancel the membership. When I tried to call TLG GreatFun I got an automated system asking for information and when they attempted to pass me to a representative I got a busy signal and the call was disconnected. I made this attempt 3 times. I hope this is the end of it!

This is TLG Great Fun... We just found out today that we were taken by this company for $36.00 out of our bank account. Here is a link to their information with the BBB of CT.

http://ct.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Report.aspx?site=29&bbb=0111&firm=41001179#complaint

They need to be shut down! They have been scamming people under all kinds of names for years by sneaking in under "legitimate" websites and swiping your credit card info. to sign you up for crap that you don't know you are ordering and you never receive. We talked with "Nancy" an "Executive Supervisor" this evening and after our conversation are being reimbursed $108 in total for all of the charges they have helped themselves to from our bank account. They say that Tom clicked on box while on the Columbia House website. He did not do that, he certianly didn't give them his banking information or permission to take money from the account! They also say that they have been sending us travel cupons and a magazine for the past year, nothing has been received from them... ever. "Nancy" told us that we may have "mistaken it for junk mail" to which we responded that maybe they disguise it as junk mail so they won't be so easily discovered! As for a magazine, none has ever been delivered to us and as for "TLG Great Fun" we had never heard of them until they were noticed stealing money from our bank account today. We need to get together and find a good lawyer to take up a CLASS ACTION SUITE against these jerks and every internet site that gives/sells them our banking/credit card information!

Just my final update on my past two posts.
My bank credited the 3 months of charges, and federally filed charges against this company. Of course, finding them may be hard, but...if you want to find someone hard enough you can.
I have not received another charge from them since my bank said they would 'flag' their company or anything similar to it, but also, have not received that 'refund' from TLG.
It amazes me how crooks like this can just scam all these people without any punishment, and since it is all over the US, the feds have a big stake in it. BOOK THEM DANO!

GREAT FUN CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD AND I DON'T KNOW WHY. AFTER CALLING THEM, THEY SAID IT IS BECAUSE I PURCHASED A TICKET ON PRICELINE FOR A REBATE. DO THAT GIVE THEM THE RIGHT TO CHARGE ME?

Here is how these thieves got me. I ordered checks through CHECKS IN THE MAIL, who in turn sold my account number to TLG Great Fun. After noticing the charge to my account, I immediately filled a request to my bank to receive a refund and closed my debit mastercard. The very next month I received a second charge. The charge used my NEW debit card number. I contacted TLG Great Fun and was told by Damen that they can obtain your debit card number through the account number. So the only way to put a stop to this is to close out your checking account.

The company charged my credit card and justified their charges by saying I signed up even though they could not substantiate the claim by providing information showing I, in fact, signed up.

Now I am continuing to receive their "$10.00" checks in the mail. This is uninvited junk mail that can't be stopped because they provide no way of reaching them either my mail or phone. Has anyone been able to locate their information to inform them you are tired of the harrassment? I would love to have that information if you do.
Thanks

My story is that CHASE bank sent us a $20 "check", and by signing and depositing that check, it was an agreement to join this company, but we didn't see all that. Got charged $59.95 for six months, and never used the company at all!

I too have been getting these charges. I noticed it again today, and remembered seeing it on my account before. Wasn't sure what it was, but I searched and amazingly, Found another three charges, now they got me for $47.96. Hopefully there is a way to stop this. Does anyone know if they will pay you back or do I have to talk the bank into that? On top of this, I only noticed because money is tight right now due to downsizing. Thats another bill I could have paid. These people should be in jail.

We just realized that we have received charges of $11.99 a month for the last 6 months from this company we have never heard of. Interestingly enough, we also booked tickets through Priceline the month before the charges began.

This company should be multi millionaires by now judging by all of the people they have scammed...This is outrageous! I still haven't found the end of the trail yet...each statement reads $11.99 debit from my checking account...I don't know how long this has been deducted! This fraud must stop at once! Attorney General...Class Action Suits...Let's go!

Great Fun also charged "membership" fees on my card, gave me a cancellation number but refused to take the charges off.
And, as I was complaining, tried to get me to charge more on my card and keep the membership I never authorized!

I never thought something like this would happen to me. Unfortunately, I have experienced it first hand. I simple checked my bank account on line and saw this mysterious charge... $14.99. I am a full-time student and am aware of every dime I have to spend. When I saw this charge I immediately questioned it. I was quickly transfered to a "supervisor" when I called, who would not give me any information unless I gave her my credit card number... "Yeah, right like I'm gonna give them that info"! Whatever you do... Do not fax them any information or give them your credit card number. Contact your banks fraud department right away! They will take care of it from there...

I have the same problem. I had a charge on my credit card statement for $11.99 in Noverber 2008. I immediatly looked up Great Fun on the internet. To my surprise I see several sites containing "Pissed Off Consumers". I called them Great Fun and spoke to a man who assured me I would be refunded. I guess I will wait and see what happens. I booked a hotel on orbitz in October 2008, that is how they got me.

I received several charges of $11.99 from Great Fun as well, they told me they got my info from priceline when I booked a flight! I didn't authorize it, but I'm guessing there must have been a box checked that I didn't uncheck!

These people are crooks, both Priceline & great fun!

I will never book another flight through priceline again!

Just discovered a charge from TLG.
After a little research I found out they've been charging me 11.99 for a full year.
Called them on [protected] and had a good discussion after I got to speak to a manager.
After yelling and some profanities (on my part) they agreed to cancel and reimburse the full 12 months of unauthorized payments.
When you call them stick to your guns and never admit "clicking" anything on Priceline.com
Good luck

I was at my bank this morning and as I was going over my statement, I saw $12.00 "Rewards" deducted from my account; I immediately called the number on this site for "Great Fun" and cancelled my 'subscription/membership' that I was not aware about ... I immediately got a cancellation number and was told that the charges would not be reversed - and I hope that I am now well rid of them. I learned a lesson today and it pays to be vigilant! We get so caught up that we do not realise that 'someone' out there is scamming us!

I am a recent victim of this fraud. I caught it only this month. I have been cahrged since August each month $11.99. I contcated the company and I complained about this. Did you ever signup for 15% discount for hotels?
I said no. I do not travel a lot and I did not do anything like that. I did not even know that a company by this name existed ever until a few moments ago.

Anyways, I am going ahead and launching a web based complaint to the Attorney General of Michigan. I just finshed doing that. The company's supervisor said she would refund my money in 10 days. But I am thinking that these thieves deserve greater punishment than a phone call.

Let me see how it goes. Please let us all take time and check our bills or statements properly.

I too have fallen victim to this company as well. If this is what is going to happen when booking travel online then I will go back to booking the old fashioned way. What a rip off! What do we do to stop this?
