I have been using Green dot as my bank for several years and there are times I go a little while without being able to add money to my account but when I start working again or get my tax refund I always have my money direct deposited to my Green dot account. This year not only did I wait almost a year to get my tax refund back but then I had it direct deposited to my green dot account and had nothing but problems accessing my money since then. It started off just certain transactions would get blocked so I called the number on the back of my card and updated my email address and phone number so all the information was accurate and also so I could log in to my account and monitor transactions. Well after I updated my information every banking feature, one feature at a time stopped working until I could not do anything at all and green dot disabled my card and closed my account because they wanted to verify my identity and every time i submitted my documents they did not approve them. Now my tax half of my tax money, the half that they did not let me spend is locked on my green dot account that is now closed and they are trying to tell me the only way for me to access my funds is by calling the IRS and having them reverse the direct deposit. I want my money out of my account and I want it out now! it is not green dots money to freeze. I could see it if the funds were being used and there were phone calls or messages being sent to them that the transactions were unauthorized but there has not been any of that they froze my account for no reason and then proceeded to close it without speaking to me locking my money up and giving me a [censored] reason why and an unacceptable solution. I waited long enough for my tax refund to be direct deposited in my account and I refuse to have them locked in an account that is closed for no reason!
Desired outcome: I want all of my money out of the account on another debit card or green dot money pack whichever is the quickest and I want the account closed after that!
