I have had a greendot/walmart debit card since 2013. In April of this year someone started using my account fraudulently. I reported it to GD/walmart in July, the amount was 280.00. Then in August of 2023 someone used a new card that I had been sent and purchased something from Microsoft, which I contacted them right away. I also contacted GD/walmart and filed a claim. The amount was 589.65. Microsoft investigated and got back to me saying it was fraud and that the bank would have to refund the money.
It is now October 2023 and they still have not resolved the issue, nor communicated with me reguarding this. I have sent countless emails, letters of all communications to their p.o. box, which they said they never received. I also called everyday for 2 months. I finally sent a packet with all this information to their Austin, TX address with a return receipt lable and package had to be signed and slip returned. Still waiting for that now. Still have not heard back from Greendot/walmart.
I also filed a complaint with their resolution department today.
Desired outcome: I would like my money back.
I can not give this company any rating because they are just the worst company I have ever done business with. The have terrible customer service, they do not act on fraud commited on your account. They do not have a good phone number to call and speak to anyone.This company should be shut down by the banking commision.
On August 7, 2023 someone used my card number to order something online from microsoft, I called them and they started investigating. I then contacted Greendot about it, I filed a dispute. the amount was 589.65. Microsoft completed their invesitigation and I forwarded that to green dot as well. I sent 10 or more emails, 10 letters and finally one the the Austin adress last Friday via return receipt. It is now the 11th of October, and knowing that microsoft found it to be fraud greendot has not refunded me the money.
