Wish was a -1 star
1) was told how back up power when grid was down was why people like me got panels only to find once to far into project to stop without paying out ton of money I had misread/ misinterpreted/ misunderstood salesman and I need very $$$$battery set up which would be more than panels. And I can’t afford
2) over month till person came to inspect site and set flags
3) over month till parts and panels delivered and placed in driveway
4) Over month before people came to install
5) what was to be 1 day job turned into week as contractor who ordered panels had missing parts I was told
6) I dug up buried power line so they would not hit, and showed where septic tank was and LP gas line, they hit both. Over 3 days before gas line was fixed.
7) when done I was missing very large pipe wrench (@3 pounds), very large crescent wrench and 12 tube of top brand expensive mortar repair mix. I had to but new wrenches and will have to use bonding cement on wall as of the large hole they made
8) power company could not hook up as was wired backwards they said. @ month before they came to rewire. Guy who came was unaware of the theft, and when told he called and said was coming to fix and return items was informed the guy had been fired 2 weeks earlier (will not say why but explained lot of crew’s odd behavior). They left power company hooked up but doesn’t show on phone or web how much I am getting and selling. Enphase has been month trying to get one of top people to fix that and contact me. LOL surprise they have not been able to yet.
9) was told was done they (GHS) would help get started with paper work for tax break and rebate. Nothing yet will have to figure out on my own I guess.
10) they have stopped answering my calls after telling me they would fix problems and help start paper work for above, as I was told they would once done, was also led to believe if not done before loan started, they would pay till was done, didn’t happen. I now worry about the gas line fix not being done right as nothing else was. Even panel set up not as was told by contractor and GHS will not answer for that either
I chose them because they would set up on ground, should of went with someone else and made them set up on ground
just sad they 5 stars isn’t 6 with a negative 1 option. No idea how they got 4 star rating
I am sure was more but too much wrong to keep track of
Recommendation: Go to ADT or some other company
I am willing to discuss this and get it resolved, have even left several unanswered voicemails.

I got my PTO letter and the same day I was up and running. Since then, I have come from 350 a month to under 200 a month for electricity. I will say this is a great investment for me and the wife.

GHS was absolutely amazing and helped make sure everything went smoothly from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend them to anyone interested in going solar. They were always quick to respond to my questions and kept me well-informed throughout the entire process.
GHS has been a breath of fresh air
GHS has been a breath of fresh air. From the start, I could tell that they knew the solar business and that they would be around to take care of any of my issues. If I ever had a question, all I needed to do was call, email, or text and got an answer right away. Thanks GHS.
Having the solar panels was the best decision I made
Having the solar panels was the best decision I made. Choosing Green Home Systems was the perfect choice. They were in constant communication with me throughout the entire process and the installation was very easy.
My electricity bill has gone down and sometimes during the summer, I don't pay anything.
I just wanted to know more about Solar Systems
I just wanted to know more about Solar Systems. GHS did a great job answering all my questions and followed up quickly. They took charge of the whole process and helped me get everything in order. The only problem was the local electrical company's slow response and their insistence on using their own document system for signatures.

Prompt arrivals by the two contractors, nice professionals who kept on the job over a 3 day stretch getting the panels installed on our outbuilding, resolving all their questions by phone with their own tech support provider. After the install, within a month we were powered up on the local grid and have been receiving credits rather then amounts due on our electric bills each month, excepting about 3 bills at the end of winter, due to short daylight and snow built up on our panels.
The contractors were punctual and professional, and they worked diligently for three days to install the panels on our outbuilding. They had some questions, but they resolved them by calling their tech support provider. After the installation, it only took a month for us to start using the local grid for power, and now we receive credits instead of having to pay our electric bills every month. However, during the winter, we did have about three bills where we had to pay due to the limited daylight and snow accumulation on our panels.

This company is the worst!
This company is the worst! I signed the contract and the layout was finished on Oct 2, 2020. But there have been no updates. The salesperson and project manager never return my calls. It's really frustrating to work with this company. If you're looking for a solar solution, stay away from them.
Green Home Systems, Inc
Green Home Systems, Inc. contacted us to put a roof on their business. We did the job so they could put their solar panels on the homeowners' roof. We tried to get paid by them, but they didn't pay. It's been more than 60 days without payment. We reached out to the corporate office and the local representative, ***. They gave us the runaround and didn't answer or provide any solutions. Today, we're filing a criminal complaint and a civil suit. I wouldn't recommend doing business with this company because they don't pay their bills! I want to get paid. It's not right for companies in California to steal from people. They owe me over ***$. I would never trust this company! It was a terrible experience.
On 9/25 me and my wife *** signed a contract with GS Homes, Inc for a solar system of 3.63 KW and a 9.8 Kw battery
On 9/25 me and my wife *** signed a contract with GS Homes, Inc for a solar system of 3.63 KW and a 9.8 Kw battery. Before signing the contract I had lots of talks with their Salesman, ***, about how much it would cost us after we get the rebates from the Fed and State. Every time he said that the State rebate for the battery would be $***. I told my Tax accountant about the State rebate and they said there wasn't a state rebate like the Fed. They suggested I Email *** on 3/23 to get GS's help in getting my rebate. On 4/7 GS emailed me a copy of the SGIP rebate request to So. *** not the State for $***. Unless GS can prove that the SGIP program would have been worth $*** when we signed the contract, we feel like we were tricked. We will be happy if GS makes up the difference, $***.

This company ain't sent ONE PAYMENT from our invoices!
This company ain't sent ONE PAYMENT from our invoices! We started working together on *** We finish each job on time and they've been well-informed about each step. I've been sending 'em invoices since *** and their accountant *** kept brushin' me off with "I sent the check already". 3 months later I told the owner, ***, that I'll be filin' this complaint against their bond and sendin' out Preliminary Notices to their homeowners if I don't get paid 'cause waitin' for 3 months to get paid is ridiculous. Shortly, *** emailed me sayin' they've been sendin' it to the wrong address when I've posted the right address TWICE in the email and on the invoice. NO ONE IS PAYIN' ATTENTION! And *** still got the nerve to have an attitude and NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE! 2 weeks still passed *** and we ain't seen a check.
Have you received any payment? Was curious because it’s looking like I’m in the same boat
In the beginning of June, I got solar panels installed in my yard
In the beginning of June, I got solar panels installed in my yard. They told me it would only take about a month to finish the job. But now it's almost the end of October, and all I have is a 90K solar panel decoration in my lawn that I'm still making payments for. I've tried contacting the company multiple times, and I even talked to the boss who made a lot of promises and gave many excuses, but the project still isn't done. One of their recent excuses was that they're waiting for the electric company to come and install a new meter, which seems reasonable. However, when I spoke to the electric company, they said they don't have any work orders for my address. I told the boss and the project manager about this, asking who is responsible for setting up the order, but I haven't received any response. At this point, I just want them to either connect it or take it away and give me a refund. I thought going solar would be great for my family, but now I regret ever calling Green Home Systems!
With me month then guy came laid out position and power line direction. Mowed around flags over month, Panels and everything delivered and placed on only cement area where kids park. Month or more different contractor, checked parts said lot missing. One day job was week. I dug up under ground power line so they could see it. When they finally came showed where LP gas line was and septic tank, they hit both. Three days to fix LP gas line. Power company couldn't change meter over, wasn't wired right, 2 weeks or more, they came and fixed it. Now shows power going straight to grid not home. Enphase is trying to get fixed and them to contact me. They sent me the copy of home repair contract I signed after I filed complaints, still no phone call. Was told they would help with paper work, so far crickets.I can't even file tax break or get rebate, called state and was told they had to file not me. Over 6 months and to me job is still not done oh forgot the contractors also took my very large pipe wrench, crescent wrench and @ 12 tubes of mortar repair and the chalking gun too. All I want is job finished, compensation for stolen items, and professional to make sure gas line is ok and can't even get that so good luck
I signed a contract to have solar panels installed in May
I signed a contract to have solar panels installed in May . They installed the solar panels in August and was told I needed to receive approval from my electric company before turning them on. My payments on the solar panels began October . I started calling Green Home Systems in October to inquire why I hadn't received approval yet. It took several calls and e-mails over a couple of weeks before I learned that something wasn't installed properly on the panels in order to be approved. After several more calls and emails, it took until March 2022 until everything was corrected and I was once again told I need to wait for approval from my electric company. I continue to follow up before I finally get a response from my project rep in the beginning of June 2022 that the electric company is waiting for 1 signature and should be completed soon. I have called, left a voicemail, emailed every week since then with no response or with customer service telling me someone will call me back and they never do. It has been almost a year since my panels have been installed and still have not been approved to be turned on. The customer service at Green Home Systems is hard to get a hold of and then very unreliable when you do. My project manager has changed 3 times since starting this process. The second manager promised I would be reimbursed for any payments I made before the panels are turned on. They have strung me along for over a year and this is the time I should be producing the most energy to help cover the lack of energy produced in the winter months. I'm worried I have these solar panels on my house and I will never receive approval and the benefit of using them and I'll lose thousands of dollars because of it. I feel trapped because I can't get out of the project, I'm paying for it, and I can't get a hold of anyone at Green Home Systems to help me.
I contacted this company because an inverter installed by a previous company had gone bad, and my previous company went out of business
I contacted this company because an inverter installed by a previous company had gone bad, and my previous company went out of business. I needed a new company to service or replace it. The customer service was not great at first, and it took a long time to get an installer and receive payment. There was a lot of confusion. However, in the end, the installation and replacement happened in March 2022. The technician was nice and suggested installing a monitoring chip so that I would know when my system goes down in the future. I asked about it to the initial customer service person I worked with in April and June, but they didn't respond because they had moved to another group. Then I reached out to a salesperson I had talked to before, who was more responsive but couldn't resolve the issue. I started contacting customer service again, but they didn't answer. Recently, my electric bill went up again, showing that the installed inverter is not working, and I would have known if I had the monitoring chip. It has been really difficult to get any customer support to talk to me, and when I do, it goes in circles. They don't connect past information, so I have to resend images, texts, and info from before. If I make an appointment, they never call, and if I call, they never solve the problem. So now I have to pay an extra $1400 on my electric bill when I'm supposed to have solar, and I'm still paying for my solar financing. This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced! The technicians and salespeople seem nice, but once the work is done, they completely ignore you and don't apologize or care. I had an appointment today at 9:30, and they didn't call. I called multiple times, and finally, she picked up and said, "Sorry, I was pulled into a meeting." Is that my fault? She was still in a meeting and couldn't talk at that moment. Their business practices are very strange. I need a resolution.

On October 26th, I bought a house that already had a SolarEdge Solar System installed by Green Home Systems at some point in the last 6 years (the house was built in 2015). When we purchased the house, we also acquired the solar unit since it was already paid off. For the first 5 months or so, the solar system worked great and we had no issues. We even had a good credit going on. However, as we reached May 2022, it seemed like the credits were decreasing. This was our first year and first summer in the house, so I thought it might be normal. The bill from So Cal *** is quite difficult to understand. As the months went by, our credit completely disappeared and the bill started to increase significantly. By September, our bill reached $900. My wife and I started to question if the solar system was even working. When I called ***, they informed me that our solar panels had not been functioning since April 2022. I contacted solaredge, the manufacturer of the system, and they told me that my power inverter stopped working on April 17th, 2022. They also mentioned that Green Home Systems was supposed to notify me when this happens, which is a common practice. However, I never received any notification, not even by mail. SolarEdge also informed me that my inverter is under warranty until 2029. When I tried to reach out to GHS, it was impossible to talk to someone. I left numerous voicemails in their customer service mailbox, but never received a call back. After several attempts, I decided to contact the sales department, and of course, they answered right away! I spoke to someone who assured me that they would take care of everything and fix the issue without charging me. However, I am still hoping for compensation on my bill. It has been a full 7 days since I spoke to him and sent the requested photos, but communication has gone silent. I have tried calling and emailing him directly, but have received no response.
I'm still in the early stages of this project and haven't gotten all the approvals and permits yet
I'm still in the early stages of this project and haven't gotten all the approvals and permits yet. Green Homes Systems sent some mixed-up plans for the solar panels they were gonna put in my house. I told the project manager, engineer, and salesperson about my worries, and they basically said the engineer knows what he's doing. They couldn't explain why the plans changed and used forceful tactics to make me approve. I reluctantly said yes on 6/29/22 but told both the project manager and salesperson on 7/5/22, less than a week later, that I wanted to cancel and not go ahead with the project. I decided to cancel because I didn't have confidence in the project and how it was being handled, and also because of financial issues. The project hadn't really started, no permits were filed or obtained, according to the project manager, and they hadn't bought the equipment. When I told the project manager and salesperson, another person from Green Homes called and was really mean and aggressive. He was loud, disrespectful, and kept saying my name wrong on purpose. I don't like being bullied, yelled at, and threatened, first when I didn't agree with their plans for solar panels on the roof, and then when I chose not to continue the project. This made me lose even more confidence in this company and decide that I didn't wanna continue with them. *** from Green Homes acted unprofessional and was verbally abusive. He made a big deal out of a situation that didn't need to be a big deal because of his inappropriate behavior. I want the penalty waived. They've waived penalties for other customers whose projects were much further along than mine, so there's a precedent for it. I also want an apology for how their representative treated me on 7/8/22, being dismissive, abusive, and threatening.
I've been working on this project for 6 months now, but the approvals and permits haven't been approved or obtained yet
I've been working on this project for 6 months now, but the approvals and permits haven't been approved or obtained yet. Green Homes Systems keeps changing my project plans since I signed up on 5/20/22. Every time I ask for an update, the Project manager, ***, says they need to make another change and the permits are NOT approved. They couldn't explain why the plans were changed and used forceful tactics to get me to approve. I haven't approved any additional changes and I informed both the project manager, *** and the sales man, ***, that I've decided to cancel and not move forward with the project on 10/3/22 after receiving the same response when I asked for an update. I canceled because I didn't have confidence in the project and how it was being handled. The project hadn't started in any significant way, no permits had been filed or obtained, according to the project manager, and the equipment hadn't been purchased. When I told GHS, *** was verbally abusive and extremely aggressive, threatening me with lawyers and saying they would come after me if I don't pay them $5979.00 to cancel, including a restocking fee for equipment they said they don't have. I don't like being bullied, yelled at, and threatened, especially when I didn't agree with their plans for solar panels on the roof and then when I chose not to continue the project. This interaction made me lose even more confidence in this company and made me decide that I don't want to continue this project with them. *** from Green Homes was unprofessional and verbally abusive. This inappropriate behavior and threats caused so much stress that I ended up in the hospital for 3 days. I let *** know I was hospitalized, but he continued to send threatening messages and constant phone calls. I want the penalty waived, the contract canceled, and to never hear from GHS or any representative again. I also want an apology for the dismissive, abusive, and threatening behavior of their representative on 10/3/2022.
