Not employee friendly
I was terminated and my vindictive former employer tampered with my GUSTO account, changing my email to a fake one. I was alerted by gusto about the change... I followed their directions to say the change was NOT authorized but have gotten no response. I have contacted their online chat multiple times only to have them say "I'll send you a password reset" (which won't work because they won't reset my actual email) OR they tell me to contact their "Care" phone number BUT you need an access code which I don't have... BECAUSE I CAN'T GET IN TO MY ACCOUNT. I have been dealing with this nightmare for a week now. With no end in sight.
Update 11/8/22: I was told by Gusto to contact their "assurance" email account so that I could be helped. I have sent multiple emails to that address M-F since this happened on Oct 28. I have gotten no response. Now I just keep resending emails daily in hopes that eventually someone will respond. We're going on 2 weeks with no response.
Do not trust
My direct deposit was deposited into this account- unauthorized. Did not have a debit card to access these funds (despite requesting the card over a week prior to this), therefore, leaving my primary account empty and no way to transfer the money to a different account because account authorization has to take place before transactions can occur. This can take 3-5 business days. I called, explained the entirety of the situation and the significance only to be passed around between customer service rep’s with no answers, no help, and no urgency. The best part is: my employer has been utilizing their company for payroll the past 2 years & the account I was trying to authorize is the one they have been direct depositing in the entire time…. After finally getting through to a woman (Sarah, in the gusto wallet department) who showed sympathy- she expedited a card to me on a Friday which was supposedly going to be here the following Monday (today 11/15). The card that has taken over 2 weeks, arrived today, lo and behold, not able to activate because it was cancelled due to the new expedited card which is now going to be arriving tomorrow, 11/16, or weds 11/17. My main account has been overdrafted, I am behind on bills, and no one can provide me with any answers. Thankfully, I have family that was able to loan me some money. Long story short, choose another app if you care about being able to spend your hard-earned money. Customer service has zero answers for you when in a pinch.

REQUEST PAPER CHECKS! DO NOT USE!
If your employer EVER accidentally overpays you, Gusto will withdraw it directly from your bank account. Doesn’t matter how much or when, they’ll do it at their own convenience. It is in their terms of service and you agree when you sign up. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Worst Banking App EVER!
I lost my card only to find out that, all my money was withdrew from my account. I contacted customer service to ask them what can they do, the Customer Service lady “Sara” was rude! They act like they don’t know anything or can’t do anything! Worst app ever! DO NOT USE!

Dual factor authentication
Kids’ boss used my daughters phone number for dual factor authentication and there is no way to change it through your account login. Called customer service and they had to open a ticket and now I have to wait 1-2 business days for a call back…. All because I need to change the account phone number. Stupid.

False Advertising
Advertised that if you get their spending account card that you can get paid up to 2 days earlier. I signed up just for that reason and it was early for a few paychecks but now I just get my direct deposit on my regular payday anyways. Then my spending account balance reflects the deposit late and I can’t pay my bills.

RACIST!
This company is racist. I was sent an email about filling out their survey for a chance to win a gift card. They recorded my responses to 5 questions, the last asking me my nationality. I hit enter and they closed the entire survey out saying based on my responses I was ineligible to participate. Are you kidding me?!?!?!

Payroll
As a business manager, I’m done with gusto. Basic function such as payroll processing shouldn’t be hard. 3 times within the last 2 months, gusto failed to pay my employees on due date. Their excuse? Sorry we’ll pay you in 3 day, my bad. Find another company to process your payroll. Waste of time and money with Gusto.

The app is great the support is the worse I’ve ever experienced
I’ve been trying to get a new card for about 3 months now and every time I get to talk to someone either on the phone or text , they know absolutely nothing more than just what the automated responses are , they don’t speak very much English and it’s literally all people from India that have not intention of being helpful .

What is this??
Never heard of gusto till today because of my company. They won’t allow you to connect your cash app , Venmo, PayPal accounts which is dumb because most people use these apps. I’m not bank friendly so for anyone in the same situation will have the same issues unless there’s an update that will allow you to connect these money apps.

Never get paid on time
This app I have been getting paid through this app for a couple months now but it has its pros and cons good thing with this app is you can access a lot of things bad news is we never get paid on time and it happens every time like today supposed to be my payday and it is saying your next paycheck is in four days and this happen every time

Terrible app
This app should not even have one star. It is almost impossible too even clock in.Every time do you haveEnter your email then your password then wait for them to send you a code then you can go to the app and punch in or punch out. But then your paycheck information is just emailed out that anybody could seeIf they walk by your computer and click on it.

Worst customer service ever!
Had this app for months and couldn’t get passed the landing page. Had repeatedly emailed support for help. Had to screenshot and email it back four times so they could “forward it to our support team”. Each time I never heard back. (I repeatedly asked for someone to respond and never got a thing)
This app is as useless as their customer service.
I deleted this waste of time.

Extremely Slow & Glitchy!
I’m always late to clock in and clock out because the app is extremely slow and very glitchy. Sometimes it will log you out and ask for confirmation in the middle of lunch breaks. By the time you do everything to login, you are 2 to3 minutes late! Extremely annoying!
Features are pretty decent.
Please fix the bugs! Or we will just go back to using “When I Work” or “PayChex” again.
