Hobart Auto Sales Crooks. Took my friend's money and gave him a piece of junk that broke down in 2 weeks, and the warranty won't cover any of it

Crooks. Took my friend's money and gave him a piece of junk that broke down in 2 weeks, and the warranty won't cover any of it. Now the shop they told him to take it to is being rejected by the warranty company because too many cars from Hobart Auto Sales have been brought there to be fixed. They told him they will make it right if he took his negative comment down. I feel like this is how they get people to say they had a good experience.

Hobart Auto Sales I ain't never goin' back to Hobart Auto Sales, man!

I ain't never goin' back to Hobart Auto Sales, man! They sold me a total lemon! The dang car only lasted 16 days before it started givin' me trouble. First, the turbo went kaput, and then it messed up the engine with fluids leakin' all up in there. I been fightin' with 'em for months to fix this mess, but they ain't done nothin' yet. They got some mechanics who work with 'em, and let me tell ya, they do some shady repairs. They just send 'em off across the street to get more business. The owner keeps talkin' 'bout how they good people, but let me tell ya, they just a bunch of scam artists. So y'all better watch out!

Hobart Auto Sales These guys at Hobart Auto Sales, Inc

These guys at Hobart Auto Sales, Inc. are the reason why used car salesmen have a bad reputation! They advertise a certain price for a vehicle on their website, but once they have all your information, they increase the price and claim it's because of "financing." On top of that, they don't even show the price for any vehicle on their lot, not even the ones they have listed online! And to make matters worse, the car we were interested in had recently had its computer (EMISSIONS) reset, and they only offered a measly three-day warranty. I'm warning everyone to stay far away from this place! I can't even give them zero stars, they wouldn't allow me to rate them any lower than one star!

Hobart Auto Sales Honest and friendly family business with a heart

Honest and friendly family business with a heart. Have bought several cars now from *** and his team and they bent over backwards to help us. Any issues or questions they helped with. Super friendly and reasonable. Easy to talk to and always willing to help. As a restaurant owner myself I know that business can sometimes be messy. These guys go out of their way to make you happy. Have a son going to college soon and we are already planning on going back. I am proud of them and what they have able to build in the community. A family start up to come as far as they have is really great and wonderful for the local area. Will continue to refer them and would recommend without hesitation.

Hobart Auto Sales Hobart Auto Sales, Inc

Hobart Auto Sales, Inc. is a bunch of people who don't really care about you. They talk in their own language and ignore you when they're talking about your contract or negotiations. The owner hides in the office and lies and scams people. He's a complete con man, and so are the rest of them. I got my truck in January , and they totally ripped me off. The seat belt warning light came on just three months after I got it. I took it to a place called *** for a diagnostic, and they said the repairs were ***ed up. I called Hobart like ten times, but they just hung up on me and said it wasn't their problem. They buy the cars from auctions and then sell them to you, so basically they're saying they'll buy anything and sell it to you, no matter how much they jack up the price. I had to call *** corporate to get help with the repairs. They had the vehicle priced at *** bucks, but on my contract, it says 17,495. I put down *** and traded in my car. I kept asking them where the extra *** came from, and all they said was fees. I asked for a breakdown, but they argued with me, especially the owner and this guy named Kam. The owner told me I didn't qualify for an extended warranty because of my credit, and he said I was lucky to even get a car. Kam was the one who did my sale and contract, and he didn't want to explain anything to me when I asked questions. So, yeah, never ever buy from them, and definitely don't trust a company called Westlake Financial.

Hobart Auto Sales I bought a car from Hobart Auto Sales, Inc

I bought a car from Hobart Auto Sales, Inc. in January and they told me it would pass emissions. However, it failed not once, not twice, but three times. They claimed to have a certified mechanic on-site, but they actually sent us to a different location across the street. This other place ended up damaging my wife's jeep and had to replace the entire windshield and hood. After that, it finally passed, but they said they had to program something called a CPM to make it pass. But then more problems started to arise. They said we needed to replace the thermostat for $250, and now they're saying we need to replace the Heating Core for $1000. They should have refunded us the initial $250, but they refused. We've called and spoken to Omar, who yelled at us and claimed it's our problem. It's important to note that we still don't have license plates for the car, and we've been making car payments and insurance payments for six months, even though the car is currently at another mechanic's shop. Omar, you know the truth. There's nothing you can say to make it seem like you did everything you could, because you did nothing. Also, after these repairs, the vehicle broke down two more times on *** and had to be towed. Just accept responsibility and make things right.

Hobart Auto Sales So my fiancé bought a Jeep from Hobart Auto Sales on 9/22, and by 10/7, the Jeep was shaking and the check engine lights came on

So my fiancé bought a Jeep from Hobart Auto Sales on 9/22, and by 10/7, the Jeep was shaking and the check engine lights came on. Additionally, the right light was busted. They told us to take the Jeep across the street to their recommended mechanic. We had the rental for 3 weeks and they told us to come back, saying the Jeep was fixed. We did this 2 more times. Now my fiancé doesn't want the Jeep anymore. We called the fiancé company to complain, but they wanted an itemized list to see what was actually fixed on the Jeep. Hobart Auto Sales said they couldn't provide an itemized list because they don't give out invoices. So the fiancé company couldn't help us. Then my fiancé talked to the owner, who said in front of his coworker that he would have one more chance to fix the car, and if it wasn't fixed, he would help us get another car (which he didn't do). That's why, on the third time, when my fiancé was finally picking up the Jeep, a cuss word was exchanged and my fiancé got frustrated with all their lies. A Hobart Auto Sales employee pushed my fiancé into a wall. My fiancé never touched anyone, but all the Hobart employees grabbed my fiancé and the police were called. Hobart dealer had my fiancé arrested. The Jeep was returned to us, and the next day, the check engine light came on. So they're liars and scammers, and they do whatever it takes to take people's hard-earned money to make a sale. I saw the footage and I told the owner that his people touched my fiancé first. He stuttered and said he's a good person and he gives to Africa. Maybe he said that because my fiancé is black, but what does that have to do with the fact that they cheated and scammed him and sold him a lemon? I suggest we should all get together and write to the Attorney General (I did), get lawyers involved, and stand up for ourselves. We should not let businesses like this one cheat us. Let's help each other! Oh yeah, and three young men walked in while I was there and talked about their messed up car. They said to take it to *** across the street. They're a big joke too. Shame on you!

Hobart Auto Sales When you read reviews on this business, as long as you got lucky enough to buy a car without any mechanical issues, they are friendly and fine

When you read reviews on this business, as long as you got lucky enough to buy a car without any mechanical issues, they are friendly and fine to do business with. However, the minute you have any issues with your car, the lying starts. And there is no communication with anyone who works there, starting with *** the owner. Within a few days of purchasing the car, we started having trouble with the alternator and called Hobart Auto Sales service department within the 2 weeks time period they allow for repairs to be made. The automotive shop, Best Exhaust, that Hobart Auto Sales the car to, gave it back to us within the same day saying nothing was wrong with it. In addition to the continued alternator issues, we now had no power steering, which was not a problem before we took it to them. After arguing with the Best Exhaust owner, they agreed to fix both these issues. We were told by the mechanics that we could request dealer parts, and after contacting the service department at Hobart Auto Sales, they assured us they would order dealer parts (which they never did). The car was in the shop for 10 days after which no one bothered to tell us they were finished with it for 2 days. When we finally found out and went to pick it up, the power steering was fixed, but the alternator was not. The same problems we had taken the car in for were still occurring and now the battery was acting up. At this point the service *** at Hobart Auto Sales began to ignore our calls, tell us things were being done that were not, and the manager, ***, was extremely rude and bullied me, a 24 year old female buying my first car We then began talk directly to ***, the owner of Hobart Auto Sales, who told us lies about where the car was being repaired and refused to answer questions or accept the facts we were telling him. In the end the car was still not properly repaired and there were more problems: a bent rim, air bag coils were ripped out, a horn and left turn signal not working, etc.

Hobart Auto Sales If I could have given NO star I would have

If I could have given NO star I would have. I saw a car on the Hobart Auto Sales web site and when my brother and I went to go see it we were told it was still in Pennsylvania. I asked why it was on the web site as being on their lot when it was still in Pa.? They had no good answer. We asked the girl to call us as soon as it came in so we could look at it. I asked her if we could have the *** on it and she gave us the wrong one. They never called anda couple days later I found out it was on the lot from an e-mail I got from I see *** It was after 5 pm on Friday May 21 when I called and talked to Mike the manager to see if the car was actually on the lot. He said yes. I told him it was too late to take a 35 minute drive to see the car and would come on Monday. He said they would stay open late (7:30 pm) if we were coming. I had my brother call him and we decided to go to the Dealer as we were told they would stay open late. There were actually 2 cars, one 2011 and a 2013 with the same photo on their web site. When my brother and I got there the 2011 was in the front lot and unlocked. It smelled really bad when we opened the door and there was NO spare tire. We went in and asked Mike the Mgr. if they were both there? Then the Owner came over and checked. He came back and said he would show us the 2013. I asked about the 2011 with the smell and NO spare tire and he didn't seem too concerned. When we started to look at the 2013 I could see a large rust hole and scrape on the right front area. Then there was a piece of numbered Rubber/Plastic triangle sticking out of the passenger side of the hood. When I pointed that out to the Owner he pulled it out and threw it across the parking lot like it wasn't needed. I said, "Why would you do that! You didn't even open the hood to see where it went" He still didn't seem to care and then proceeded to tell us we came too late even tho Mike the Manager told us to come. He said they had closed down the computers and the banks were closed so they couldn't do anything anyway and to come back Monday at 9 am to have first look. After that experience and the Owner throwing parts of cars away We will never go back to that dealership. It just didn't seem like the Owner cared.

Hobart Auto Sales I bought a car from Hobart Auto Sales, Inc

I bought a car from Hobart Auto Sales, Inc. on 03/08. I paid $5000 as a down payment. Unfortunately, just 9 days later, the car started having problems. It took until 03/25 for the car to be fixed and for us to be able to drive it again. I'm not happy because I asked for a refund. We haven't even had the car for a month, and we weren't told the total payment with interest until after we signed the papers. We felt rushed to sign them.

When we received the vehicle, it had 116 thousand miles on it, but the paperwork said it had 114 thousand miles. They lied to us about the mileage. When we called to resolve the situation, the owner yelled at my fiancé and called him a liar about the mileage and how long we had the car.

Hobart Auto Sales I bought a car from Hobart Auto Sales on 1/16/2022

I bought a car from Hobart Auto Sales on 1/16/2022. The next day, the check engine light turned on. I took my car back to the dealership, and they said it was covered by the 7-day warranty. I asked for a safer car, but they told me to keep it and they would fix the problem. They tried multiple times, but couldn't fix it. They told me to take it to the car's dealer, who said it needs a new engine. I told the owner about my concerns, but he said I was bothering him. I have a warranty, so they should make the repairs. The warranty company said it was too soon for them to fix it, so I have to pay out of pocket. I never expected a dealership to sell cars with engine problems or other major issues. The service and communication have been very poor.

Hobart Auto Sales I bought a 2013 **** escape from Hobart Auto in March

I bought a 2013 *** escape from Hobart Auto in March. On March 17th, I emailed and went in person to tell them about a howling noise from the rear end. They said it was a wheel bearing and replaced it, but that didn't fix the problem. I couldn't bring it in earlier because I've been busy, but when I finally did, they found out it was actually the rear differential. I asked if they would fix it, but they said the warranty doesn't cover it. They offered to disengage the *** for $350, but that's not a good solution. They said I have to pay for the repair, which will cost $2200. The *** dealership doesn't even know when they'll have the necessary differential available, which could take months. It's frustrating to buy a 2013 *** escape with *** miles for $28,000 and have something like this happen. I'm trying to build my credit with a car, and now I can't even drive out of town. The dealership doesn't seem to know what they're doing and has left me in the dark. I feel like I was sold a lemon. I've never sued anyone or done anything like that before. Please help me or guide me on what to do. Thank you.

Hobart Auto Sales I saw a car on a listing and decided to go to Hobart Auto Sales to test drive it

I saw a car on a listing and decided to go to Hobart Auto Sales to test drive it. I liked the car and said I wanted to buy it, but the salesperson informed me that they don't offer bank financing for a car as old as the *** Escape. The online listing stated a price of ***, and I was given a bill of sale that included taxes and document fees for ***. I mentioned that I would pay in cash, as my friend was going to lend me the money. This happened on January 22, 2022, during the middle of the week. I called them and said I had the cash, and I made a *** dollar deposit over the phone to hold the car. I told them I would come in on January 28 with my friend and the cash. However, when we arrived, the owner called us into his office and increased the price by a thousand dollars. I tried to ask for an explanation, as I had a bill of sale that we had agreed upon, but he wouldn't let me speak. The next morning, I called the salesgirl and offered to pay ***, but she called me back and said the car had been sold the previous night. Today, on January 30th, the car is still advertised for *** and is still on the lot. Additionally, this dealer advertises financing on the lot without requiring a social security card. I'm confused about what's happening here. I came in good faith to pay the price they asked for, and I want the car at the price stated on the bill of sale. The owner even mentioned that he was going to fire the salesperson for making a mistake, but when I spoke to her the next day, she said he never mentioned it. She told me that the price in the computer was the correct one. I assumed that, being the dead of winter and close to tax time, they had just lowered the price from the *** list price. I never asked for a price reduction. I am retired and on disability, and I came with my friend in good faith. I have filed a complaint with the Secretary of State as well. Thank you, and please feel free to call me. I can provide a copy of the bill of sale. This man was extremely rude.

Hobart Auto Sales I bought the car on 12/09

I bought the car on 12/09. Took it home and on 12/10, the car didn't want to start and it was showing check engine light and service tire monitor system. I called ***, the person I have been talking to, and told him what was going on. And he said, "Could I bring the car over there?" and I told him that it doesn't start and he said, "Can I go get a battery at AutoZone?" and I told him I have no one to take me there. Then he said he was going to send a mechanic over to get a battery. So the mechanic finally showed up and punched the car a little back and gave me a jump and then took it to AutoZone to get a battery and a battery for the remote. Then he brought it back and he said, "You will not have anymore problems, check engine light is off." And I told him, "When can I take it in for that tire service monitor?" He said, "Anytime." So on the same day, I went to do errands with my mom that has Dementia and there it was again, the check engine light. I took a picture and showed it to *** and told him that it came back again. And he connected me to the service guy and told me to bring it in and leave it in the back of the dealer and they will get to it. So before going there, I stopped at AutoZone and got a diagnostic check and they printed out for me and me and my hubby went to take the car. I wrote a letter and told them everything that was wrong with it. The check engine light, the tire monitor system, the wheel when you turn has this loud noise. And I left it there and called in the morning and told them that my car was there. So a day or two passed and I called them and asked what was going on with my car and the service manager told me what was my concern. Really, I just wrote you a letter to tell you what was going on and I left it on the passenger seat like you told me. So he said that he will call me back but never did. It's going on a month and my car has been more in the dealer than in my hands. I don't want the car, I would like my money back. I am just tired.
