What should have been a simple and enjoyable stay took a nightmarish turn when I began experiencing severe discomfort and pain in my lower abdomen, specifically in the vaginal area, during my stay. This discomfort grew progressively worse, prompting me to seek medical attention.
I visited an urgent care facility where I was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection (UTI). The medical professionals indicated that it was highly likely that the cause of this infection was exposure to bacteria on the toilet stool in my hotel room. I must emphasize that during my stay at Best Western Fairfax, the bathroom in my room was the only one I used.
What has been particularly disheartening about this situation is the lack of response and support I have encountered in seeking a resolution. Despite my multiple attempts to contact HotelTonight and the hotel directly, I have been met with unresponsiveness and evasion of my calls. My health and well-being were compromised during my stay, and it is incredibly distressing that my concerns have gone unaddressed.
Furthermore, I received an email requesting medical documentation, including a note that attributes the UTI to the hotel room. As a responsible and ethical medical professional, I find it highly unlikely that any doctor would attribute the source of an infection in such specific terms.
