Hybrid2Go (hybrid2go.com) claims they started business in December 2021, even though the owner, Cole Steverson, came over from Lifetime Hybrid Batteries, which has a BBB rating of F. I believe they change names every ~2 years so they don't have to uphold any "lifetime warranties" which is how they get you to buy their batteries. Based on other reviews I've read, the batteries last around 5-6 months and then they give you lemons in the warranty process and don't return phone calls. I'm out $3,000 and they convinced me each time that it was some other component of my car. When I brought it to a reputable shop locally, they isolated the issue and said it's definitely a fault with the hybrid battery. I wish I had not bought into their lifetime warranty sales pitch. They screen their calls and just respond via text from Hybrid2Go and claim they help install batteries provided by Lifetime. Lifetime's "voicemail box full" makes it impossible to reach them and makes you run in circles. AVOID THESE SCAMMERS!
Desired outcome: I would like a full refund and have all paperwork to back up my claims.
I have the same problem regarding this company. I purchased the hybrid battery from Lifetime Hybrid Batteries in January 2022 because of their claim of "lifetime warranty". It is now October 2022 and the hybrid battery has died. I called Lifetime Hybrid; they were out of business, their voicemails were full, their website was shut down and their shop is no longer open.
I searched the web for anything that could trace their whereabouts. I also called Hybrid2GO and spoke to a gentleman there who said that HYBRID2GO is located in Santa Barbara. When he said that, I knew that the LIFETIME HYBRID BATTERIES changed their name to HYBRID2GO, being that both companies were in Ventura County. The technician who came to my house said he was from San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara and the guy from Hybrid2Go says he is from Santa Barbara.
HYBRID2GO says he has been in business for 5 years, since 2018. I read from this page that Hybrid2Go started his LLC in 2021.
So, yes, this guy changes the name of his business every few years from LIFETIME HYBRID BATTERIES TO HYBRID2GO.
I now have to fork out another $3K to replace the BAD hybrid battery his technician put in my car. That hybrid Lexus battery lasted less than 10 months.
Consumers, please beware of this company. You don't want to be spending upwards of $2500 every 9 - 12 months to replace 'lifetime" batteries when this company decides that they are going to change their LLC name and void their lifetime battery warranty!
What an awful company this is. Stay away! The batteries they sell have no a 30-60 day lifeline max. If you call them back with an issue they will find any excuse in the books to avoid the replacement. DO NOT BUY! YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR MONEY.
Completely false.
This is just completely false. I had my battery replaced from Hybrid2Go and they were nothing but professionals.
I think the reason why people keep complaining is because they are confusing this other company “Lifetime Hybrid Batteries” with hybrid2go. From what I was told when I inquired, someone who worked for LifetimeHybridBatteries actually left and started their own company because they didn’t like the way things were run and wanted to do it right instead of work for someone else.
I even called the California BAR to check and their rep confirmed he had checked out Hybrid2Go and Lifetime Hybrid Batteries prior to their closure and confirmed that they are not affiliated in any way. Stop trying to slander a good business. These guys were, fast, efficient and answered all of my calls.
