I am really furious about Intec College, it was brought to my attention today that i was listed by Intec College it has been few years back that i studied at Intec, all my studies were completed and i obtained my relevant certificates and Intec College terms and conditions state you need to pay the account in full and only then you will be issued with the relevant certificates. I called in today to the accounts department and the lady could not provide me with a statement she said " all transactions have been paid and there is no balance showing what department of accounts cannot explain a simple statement. Thereafter i called DCM attorneys which they handed me over and the lady managed to provide me with a statement that i am clueless about, INTEC COLLEGE is very incompetent and the accounts staff should go for maths lessons. INTEC COLLEGE MUST CLEAR MY NAME BECAUSE THEY ARE REALLY MAKING FALSE ACUSSSATIONS I WILL TAKE THIS MATTER UP FURTHER. INTEC COLLEGE MUST BE CLOSED DOWN.

Refund - intec college
My Daughter applied for a course in Physocology and Counselling courses. My daughter (Melissa) paid the deposit and was given the run around everytime she phoned to find out where the books were. After 3 months she still had not got them. We phoned and had fax proof of deposit payment and enrolment form once again. We finally received the slip in the post on the 17 November 2009 and delivered to us on the 18 November 2009. My daughter would have collected the books the following day. She passed away suddenly. I then contact them and notified them that the books had not been collected and would be sent back from the post office. I then asked them to refund me for the deposit paid. I faxed a letter and death certificate to them, only to be informed that the do not refund as the course had been cancelled. Death is not a cancellation. I find this unacceptable. Had my dauther been alive she would have collected the books to study the dourses. She was looking forward to getting a degree. Death was the last thing that we expected. I have proof of deposit, post office slip etc. I still get bills being posted to me.

I fail to understand why Intec is sending me sms with regards to payment and telling me I am behind in payments when I only received my books at the end of March?
I have made payments from March as I think it is a cheek from there side to ask me for payment for something I did not have. It took them 8 weeks to get my books to me and they lost the first set of books they sent.
Communication is zero as you sit for approximately 30 minutes if not longer to speak to someone. I am still waiting for someone in there accounts department to return my call.
They are so quick to sign you up and request your deposit but let you need further information or request an update on materials. There services is disgusting and shocking.

My fiance was my Guardian unfortunately he passed away January 2021...
I contacted intec telling them I won't be able to continue with the course as I can't pay my fees and also I don't have computer to access my study material...
So the was a balance of 5000, I was told I won't get refund up until I pay the balance..
The after I can cancel my course and I was threatened that my name will be listed on blacklist..
Then I tried to pay the balance for the whole year of 2021...
There comes 2022 Canceling my course..
Chris Lombard himself send me and email says if I'm Canceling the course from R10 320 R1000 will be deducted and also if I want to transfer the course to someone else I can do so...also if I'm Canceling bcs of financial reasons I may appeal to have course refinanced...
Since 2021 till 2023 sending the cancelation documents and Affidavit that state's my reasons,there's no feedback...
I called them so many times I get the story of I am not the only one to be refunded so they're busy...
A week ago I called again, I was told they don't have any documents from my side says I am Canceling the course...
I was ask to re-send it which I did but still there was no response...
Today 05 April 2023 I called again the very same Chris Lombard sends me an email says: please be advised that your Course has expired and we are unable to cancel course.
Tried calling him but he's not answering me and immediately I replied to he's email by forwarding the previous emails still he's not replying back...

I have spend over R12 ooo on my ECD course and they were quick to call to enquire about the money I had to pay for course.Know that I have phoned them more than 13 times in the last 5 months, because my study material were late and I have to be fininshed this month, they just send it 3 months too late and with an extra module and now they tell me I have to pay extra for extention, but they send my modules too late. It's there mistake. I'm
still waiting on more material. What am I to do now? This is daylight robbery and they are getting away with their pathetic service and scamming people.
I'm tired, I've been working, raising a child and trying to keep up with my studies, because of their neglegance and empty promises!Hundreds of people are complaining about their poor service.What can we do. There is just the same excuses everytime I phone. And I've never stopped phoning. Help me please, i'm desperate and need this course so that I can support my child better.

I completed my diploma in dec 2022, until now no one came back to me, I have emailed, called etc, nothing... I paid in full and they even continue deducting from my account. All I want is my diploma in order for me too look for a better job.
Im even thinking to start the process to sue them rather coz wow, this journey with them sucked.
I am frustrated, I completed the course in June 2023. I am calling and emailing them but no feedback. I did not receive my diploma or any communication from them.
It's just unacceptable I want a full refund ASAP!

I have not received my statement of results from 2018 until today and i dont owe the college even a cent.
When you phone, they always say you will hold for like 20 minutes even if you are caller number 2 and then the call drops.
Student Support is atrocious, calls and emails are automated. Nothing gets answered. Registered 19 September 2023 but haven't received study material till today, Student Portal doesn't have either beside assignments and I forsee problems going forward should I require assistance.
I have cancelled the application reason being I did not receive any study materials
This is becoming tiresome to keep requesting updates and receive mails of promises that are not being fulfilled.
If there is no progress by 25th April 2023, we will be taking the matter the Ombudsman

My daughter has opted out of the course due to poor communication from Intec college. There has been no interaction, and she needs assistance with the coursework. The helpline numbers provided does not work. When she eventually received the updated numbers, you hold on the line forever and the helpline number is not free.
You keep taking money off my account after I don't owe you any money.

Poor service
I was approved for studying at intec and paid my deposit on12/04/2011. The call centre agent. Vimala Jasse said the whole process will take approx 21 days. It has been 21 days now first debit order was deducted and still no study material. I have phoned multiple times and receive empty promises about returning phone calls etc. I eventually, after being cut-off 4 times got through to someone who said that my study material is still in the stores and will be sent out during this week. Guess what the same promise as last week. I was also told that it will be sent via courrier which will make delivery faster. Today I was told it will be sent via normal post. Another two week wait if it will be sent, If the post office doesn't loose it. Rediculous service. None of the managers are available. The call centre people aren't allowed to hand out email addresses for the managers. Absolutely rediculous servicce at its best. Well done Intec you have managed to drag your name through the mud once again!

BAd news! It took them from Feb to Dec to deliver my son's nmaterial! I hope you will get it sooner. My advice - get out and use anyone else asap!
Intec college is rude and support is non-existent
After my 6th email and 1mil phone call to you in more than 1 year without any response, I just cannot take this anymore.I have been trying to phone you on every number I could find, but there is no answer, as I keep listening to music for hours.I even phoned the 0800- number I originally used, but the lady who answered completely REFUSED to assist me.I have also phoned your PE, Joburg and Cape Town branches, but they just say 'I don't know anything - I cannot help you, phone a Student Consultant' - that's their exact words.So finally I got a new number for someone named Dylan in Cape Town, but that phone also just 'rings' for hours on end.
My wife and I simply wanted to update our details, but have struggled for 1year+ We have also noticed an error in our statements, as it seems that you have not entered some of our payments (which we pay faithfully every month) into your system, so our statements reflect 'outstanding payments', which we paid. We have tried to rectify this problem with you as well, but seeing that you do not answer your phones, nor reply to any emails and your Virtual Campus is also not working anymore, this seems pretty impossible.
i have a few simple clarification questions that i want to ask intec, but this is impossible as you have to wait for hors before they answer the phone .Or if they do answer they unable to assist as they are not sure how to handle the query.I regret ever enrolling at intec
Miscommunication, false promises, sloppy work
In the last week of January 2010 I sent off the last of my forms to Intec, applying for the Wedding Planner course. At first contact was good, but then it started dying. On Feb 3rd I was promised my confirmation of enrollment would be sent 'shortly'. Almost a month later, I'd heard nothing from my student consultant. I eventually got so ****** that I asked to be transferred to someone who could help me, as I couldn't afford to be calling all the time from Sweden about books etc. At the same time that I was transferred, I found out my books had been delayed for a month because 'of a problem with my postal code'. I had paid extra for air freight for my study materials, as surface mail would take 3 months... sure enough, my books were sent surface mail. Thankfully, Shakier Achmat, whom I'd been transferred to, said he'd courier the first 3 modules to me so that i could begin studying. No such luck. I received half of my course, books from random modules, and the very first book missing. So I emailed again, asking for the first book. Again, wrong book was sent... I got the last one instead.
Intec, PLEASE get your act together! It's now 3 months and counting, and unacceptable!
No study material... After almost 60 days
I registered at Intec at the end of February, I was sent an email stating that I will receive my study material within 21 days. I paid my deposit as well. I called Intec after receiving no replies from my 'student advisor' Mabuso Khumalo. I was I nformed by Intec that my application was only sent in (by him I assume) on the 29th March! And I therefore have to wait for 21 days from this date! I then called to check on my books on 18th April and was told that they are out of stock and only have sent 2 books but dont have tracker number, I was told they will sms it to me but nothing yet. I then received 2 books in the post yesterday for Accounting 3! WHich is of no use right now as I need to start studying Accounts 1. The lady I spoke to (Salma) said that should I not finish my course within the 24 months, I can ask Intec for an extension which I will not pay for as they have delayed my studies by not giving me my material on time. Wht didnt they tell me at registration BEFORE they collected my deposit, that they dont have the material right now? Can I cancel at this stage? I need to know as I can sit back and keep calling Intec and hold on for 30 minutes at a time!
Worst service ever imaginable
I have been trying to get hold of the call center for 3 weeks now. I have been on hold for hours at a time. And yet my call has still not attended to. I managed to get hold of someone at the Head office in cape town, named Clayton. after the switchboard operator at this number placed me on hold for extremely long periods of time [protected] her name is Ally. She will not let u know the person is not able to take the call instead she will place you on hold again and again listening to that hideous music for ever. Let us not stretch how rude she is. Clayton returned my call promising to get in-touch again and after a week and numerous messages left with Ally no one returned my call.
I have tried to speak to the following people for some assistance considering I paid all my money and receive no service and no answer just hold music. Zanelle, Theo, Clayton and someone named Laqaan. Left messages NO ONE CALLS. Call center does not answer. Not even to speak about there head office. The lady at the switchboard puts the phone down in your ear and always puts you back on hold. This is a disgrace. If i knew this I would safe myself the aggravation. Do not study with them!
No certificate after six weeks waiting
I was told exam results would be released on a certain date, and not to my suprise when i called intec on that date i was given the run around from 9 in the morning and only got my results at 3 in the afternoon when someone had to go and find my exam paper and read my results to me. I was told to wait at most 6 weeks until i received my certificate, well its been six weeks and i havent received anything. I am tired of wasting my calls and my time with intec, how much longer do I have to wait? seems like nobody checks on the progress of anything until a complaint is sent.
Stay far away from intec college
Intec College are a bunch of liars and a bunch of thie ves! They take your money. They don't send you your study material. They don't answer theirs phones. In order to get a refund, you need to provide your private and confidential bank statement to them?!?!?!?!?! The people on the call center (when you eventually get hold of someone) are COMPLETE [censored]s! This 'college' is a complete JOKE!
They aren't even bothered responding to these complaints.. Do yourself a favour - don't put yourself through this nonesense. Find another institute (a REPUTABLE one) to study with.. If you sign up with Intec, you're signing up for months and months worth of headaches. We have been waiting since Dec for study material. No one even bothers to let a person know what the status is, or what the hold up is.
Should the refund not be made by 18 March 2010, we will be handing this matter over to our attorneys to expedite the legal proceedings.
Take money and no diploma, service is horrible
I paid the full amount for a course in Bookkeeping with Pastel Diploma in May 2008. When I asked that they send me the rest of the books, because I had not received my study Material where the assignments were in, I was told that the account had to be paid in full first before they could send me my Material, so I paid the account in full and phoned them again, I requested that they send me all my stuff immediately as I only had until November 2009 to finish my course, up until today, I still have not received my study Material that I paid for, and I could not finish my course because they did not send me the material. How can a well known institute let students down like this, I cant believe I paid over R5000 for absolutely nothing, I demand my Money back, since I did not get my materials, or I demand an extra year to be able to finish my course. if something does not get done I will see lawyers!
I hate the way the sales consultants are so helpful and sign you up so quickly, then when you are a student the service goes down the drain!
I would've had my diploma by now if I just went to someone else!

I enroled with Intec College on the 6 October 2010. I paid for the whole course in full. I still have not received any of my study material. We phoned them on a couple of times with no response. I have a month less, to complete my studies, due to the fact that I have not yet received anything from them yet.

I requested an exam voucher for my final IT exam on 12 October and was promised it would be sent via sms to me within 48 hours. Two weeks later I have phoned daily and nobody answers just voicemail and a tape playing one never gets through to a student consultant.
Emails and contact on the internet prove useless I am really desperately trying to get the voucher to book my final exam to no avail. Service is non existent and response feedback is nothing short of shocking please help.

Poor service and zero response to queries
I attempted to register to write exams in April 2009 but could not due to a missing payment according to them - I paid the full R9600.00 up front for my course in September 2008. I again tried in July this year and made an additional payment of R1400.00 again up front. For some reason I get a statement asking for money every month and I am still not registered to write exams which start on 12 November 2009. When I phone the call centre I am told that my account is in fact showing a credit (positive) balance of R1400.00 and they are not aware of my exam application - which I have faxed and e-mailed through on numerous occassions together with the proof of payment. I have phoned 7 times now, faxed 6 times, sent two registered letters by post - which were received by Intec according to the tracking numbers and have e-mailed at least 20 times. Still no response except to please resend my exam application and proof of payment AGAIN! If someone can help me please do. If I am not able to write this year I will have to employ a lawyer to get my R11000.00 back. The full R11000.00 will probably all go to the lawyer but Intec sure as ... is not keeping it!
Pathetic feedback & no study material
I have registed with intec college a new course and i havent received and feedback from them i dont even have my study jmmaterial as yet or my new student number .i tryed phoning but they just make me wait and nothing happens how much longer do i have to wait for my stuff and i have paid so i dont know whats the problem.can some one please atleast assist me even though i have been phoning for assistance from youl.
I have recently decided to register with Intec to do Matric maths. I have been told because I did the old curriculum this would be my last year to write it.
The student consultant was very helpful before I paid and filled in the forms. Once I had done that she became very unhelpful. Telling me not to stress when I asked for my student number.
I have now got my student number finally. I went onto the virtual site for Intec and saw that I am now registered for English and not Maths. So now they have to get the enrolment forms back and change it. When from the beginning I said Maths on my enrolment form and the student consultant asked if I was doing SG or HG. That is going to take 72 hours.
How can they get it so wrong when everything is in black and white?

I agree with the above comments I registered for my son on the 30-07-10 and paid by credit tranfer the same day and all I received was the Study Guide no learning material, I have sent numerouse e-mails even asking for a refund which has not been forthcoming. I am at my wits end wondering what to do, I definitely will never consider enrolling with Intec it seem the only way forward is to sue them in the small claims court.

Wrong information received by student advisors
Id like to bring to your attention that the services i have received from intec was very poor and unacceptable firstly i registerd with intec and i was due to write an external exams end of july 2009 as thats when my course expires.i have phoned intec on many occasions got thru only to be given the wrong contact information and when i have phoned again i was told that intec does not keep information about external examination bodies but that we were to write an external exams so my question is how do you expect us to write the exams without any contact numbers to book for our exams.and been such a large college one would expect that yourl do keep infomation on them.As a result of your untrained staff i was not able to write the exams and my course has expired and i payed in full for this course which i have takn out a loan for.So i would like to know what to do now course i want to write this exams since i have payed for this course and i need my certificate course this is affecting my job oppertunities. And further more i have emailed you guys about my complains and know one has replyed.I must stress that the service is very bad and appalling and very disappointed.

In 2007 I went to enquire more info at intec about project management certificate my course expired on february they send forms for exam in april of which they didn't tell about, they only told me about assignments I send them all when I try to contact them they don't respond, and I paid them in full.

I am Cecil Ncekana registered in 2017 for Small Business Management until 2019 I have not receive all my Assignment results till today and it is unfair because I paid fully for the course!
In 2020 I registered for the Excel Microsoft again I sent all but till today I have not received the results is that fair what INTEC College is doing?
its now 2013 and the INTEC DAMELIN ICG College group is STILL doing the same thing to its students! and to top it off, they are ONLY PROVISIONALLY ACREDITED so that means most of their course ARE NOT RECOGNIZED! STAY AWAY FROM THIS GROUP! THEY WERE ON NATIONAL TV IN 2011 AND PROMISED TO MEND THEIR INCOMPETENT WAYS-2 YEARS LATER-THEY STILL DO THIS TO THEIR STUDENTS-They have your money so thy dont care a damn!
I enrolled with Intec college February 2009 for a diploma in Journalism, did not receive study material session 2, the leaner guide stated that I need to receive session 2 to start with my assignments .i was not able to write assignments called the school several times, they will investigate the matter and call me back . 5 months past they still investigating 488.90 was deducted from my account on a monthly basis . I decided to cancel the debit order, tried calling again to make them aware that I have cancelled the debit order, the call center is always busy you have to wait for an hour to get through when you have eventually made it through you being transferred to one consultant to another . I wanted a quick response so I went to complain to hallo peter .com I was promised to be contacted back, still no response . Then I decided to cancel the contract called the school spoke to Lynnette boysen explained everything she gave me a fax number to fax through the cancellation letter I confirm if she received it she said yes she will escalate to cancellation department. I called several time to confirm if the cancellation was approved only to find out that the cancelation department don’t take calls the cant see anything on their system . On the 11 of February I received a call from Carol to inform me that my account has been handed to legal because I’m owing the school 4000 . That was the shock of my life! the school owes me not the other way around .the school doesn’t even respond to consumer Affairs .I wasted almost 2 years trying to sort the problem but all I wanted was to get my diploma . just want to tell the whole world that this institution is a money making scheme .
I am experiencing a similar situation. except worse! my books were sent almost three month after the course expired. now they expect me to pay 1600.00 for an extension.
can you believe it? it's their error. this shouldnt be allowed to happen to people. and i will not go unnoticed. i will kick up a major fuss over it!

I already complained about Intec not keeping to their promises and giving 10% discount where it is due. Even Karen does not answer my e-mails or calls. She does not even call back on messages that I have left her.

i registered under intec college and had a dispute. I requested a cancellation however even after all these years the account still shows outstanding on my name. this is so ridiculous has i did not make use of any facility
