June 21, 2016. I invented a product and needed help getting started because I didn't know how. I saw an advertisement on television about a company called inventhelp that claims they can get an invention up and going and so I looked them up on the internet and contacted them. I was contacted by their regional sales director and he arranged a meeting at a jacksonville, fl office. I presented pictures, drawings and a crude but functional prototype. I was given encouragement and told that I would need to pay $746.00 for a basic information package. I paid him and a month later I received a very impressive looking book about 75 pages of dull dribble that was very copy and paste information. He arranged another meeting and told me I had a marketable product which he had been told could be produced for $3.50 each and sold at $19.95, but he thought we could get more. It would be too much detail here, but he told me I had the potential to make millions, but I needed to sign a submission agreement and pay $10, 900 to invent help, he suggested I pay $5, 000 on a credit card and they would debit my credit card $258 a month for the rest. On the first page of the contract it states that I agree to pay inventhelp the remainder of the balance. In reality inventhelp got paid for the remainder by a loan company that created a lean against me that I knew nothing about, I thought I was paying inventhelp in monthly installments by allowing them to debit my credit card as the first page on the contract stated. A year later I got a call from a loan company, universal payment corporation in pittsburgh, pa 15222 saying I had been given a one year interest free loan but the one year was up and if I didn't pay the balance of $3, 111 by the end of the month they were going to charge me $346 back interest and interest on the balance. If I had not been able to pay, I would have been paying principle and interest to the credit card company and the loan company. It's bad enough that inventhelp lied and deceived putting me in debt, but then they turned me over to a payment processor so they could get their hands in my pocket also. I'm sure many unsuspecting hopeful inventors have been caught up in this racket. I am going to pursue a class action lawsuit against invent help and universal payment corporation. If you would like to join in the lawsuit or know of someone who has been financially or emotionally harmed by either of these companies

Very helpful as i had scheduled an appt with that very same Jacksonville office, which I will now cancel. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this information. I was about to be caught in the exact same situation, however, even more money they were trying to get from me. I still have a final payment of $316.40 to Universal Payment Corporation that I believe I will not pay nor will I meet in Knoxville, Tn office again with their regional rep, Antonio Menendez.
Thanks for your information. I have, also, been lied to and defrauded by Inventhelp. If this class action lawsuit against them is still moving forward, please add my name. Frederick A. Murphy. My email is: famgroup13@gmail.com
What came of your legal action against Invent Help? We fell victim to the same scam. Thank you.
Invent Help is a total scam. Its so scandalous. Just days after I made my last payment of $450. that I had been paying every month on time for over 4 years equaling over $21,000.00, I received a letter inviting me join a class action lawsuit against them. So of course I wanted in. There were two options, you either joined as a paid member or an unpaid member. My letter was dated before my last payment so it was already established that I was unpaid. I called the phone number on the paper work, only to get dizzy riding the automated recordings in circles. I emailed and emailed only to receive automated emails in return. I got a hold of someone one time she took my information said someone would contact me within 48 hours I think it was. I never heard back. after the day the hearing was supposed to have happened I waited a week of so and emailed asking when I would get my settlement which was supposed to be something like $2,000 just 19 thousand shy of what I paid. They emailed me saying there were no benefits being paid. Come to find out that was another scam by Invent Help. When I joined the lawsuit I agreed that I would not join any other lawsuits against invent help during or after this settlement. Take your money and twist it up, kind of tight and light it on fire. You will get more for your money that way. Heat and light. I got NOTHING from Invent Help NO THING. just anguish and stress, buyers remorse that wont quit. What they do HAS TO BE illegal. It has to. they straight up steal your money. they try to pacify you with letters saying they are doing this and that. But I KNOW they didn't do what they said. They used names of companies that don't even exist. I never got a patent. That's what all the money was supposed to be for.
