David, our Timber Tech Deck and Railings were installed within the time Iron River Construction estimated for the project. The agreed upon price was not exceeded. Iron River personnel always took the time to explain when we had questions. I am well satisfied with their service on this project, as well as a roof replacement project Iron River Construction completed for us a couple of years ago.
We have used Iron River for both interior and exterior projects
We have used Iron River for both interior and exterior projects. The construction and finishing work has been excellent on everything they have done for us! Our latest project was for a new door. We did have a little bit of a rocky start with someone overseeing the project that ended up leaving the company after deciding he no longer wanted to be in the construction business. We were turned over to Rob R. who was fantastic to work with and made sure we were well taken care of! We are very happy with our new front entry door, and the work that was put into installing it.

We contracted with Iron River for a kitchen remodel and ended up expanding the project to almost our entire upstairs. Rick was absolutely amazing to work with. His experience with what works and what doesn't was invaluable. We also were connected to a design consultant that ensured we were up to date with the latest trends and resale value. The entire project came in within budget and most importantly, on time! We never had to worry about things being delayed. The project ran as laid out. Materials were great. There were a few minor issues along the way, though Rick and Iron River made sure the issues were resolved and we remained highly satisfied. I would use Iron River for our next project.

We hired Iron River to replace 18 windows and our exterior siding, and were very pleased with the work and their responsiveness throughout the project. Rob was extremely prompt, thorough and professional in getting us an estimate, and did a great job of communicating with us all the way along. Vadim managed the project and the crews with great attention to detail, and he kept us in the loop in a way that gave us peace of mind and confidence. He even suggested using leftover siding to repair a couple of spots that weren't even part of the original project - at no upcharge. The window crew did a stellar job making our windows blend seamlessly with the ones we didn't replace. We are very happy with the completed project as a whole and wholeheartedly recommend Iron River!
Iron River Construction did an outstanding job on our deck project
Iron River Construction did an outstanding job on our deck project. The project included demolition and replacement of our old wood deck, stairs and the walkout connecting the stairs to the garage service door. We selected a composite material from TimberTech with an aluminum railing system. We could not be happier with the finished product as well as the process. The new deck is beautiful and exceptionally well built. Randy Spring is experienced, knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. He carefully explained every aspect of the process, was very attentive to all details and responsive to all questions. Additionally, the construction crew was a joy to watch work. They were efficient, clearly very experienced and always left the worksite tidy and clean. We have the utmost confidence in Randy and Iron River Construction and without reservation would highly recommend them. We give them a glowing five star rating!
After experiencing much hail damage from a storm, I hired Iron River Construction
After experiencing much hail damage from a storm, I hired Iron River Construction. Rob did a thorough assessment of all damaged structures and shared details including photos with me. Damage to windows, deck, garage doors, roof, gutters, etc. we're reported for insurance claim. Vadim met with me to confirm company's service provisions. Rob was professional, experienced and persistent with interactions with insurance company to provide quality replacement of damaged structures. He kept excellent communication with me and respectfully answered all questions that came up. This especially was beneficial as I sold my home and moved before custom windows could be delivered (due to longer delivery time during period of limited resources in our communities.) I closed sale without problem while Rob worked seamlessly with insurance co. and kept good relations with new buyers. I would recommend Iron River Construction, Rob, Vadim and crew for quality completion of project. Everything looks great and my new buyers are extremely happy. Thank you Iron River.

Randy and his crew resurfaced our deck with TimberTech composite, rebuilt stairs and installed an aluminum railing. They started on date agreed upon and were done within 2 weeks. The dumpster came on the first day and was gone on the last, all debris was removed and the deck was cleaned before they left. Craftmanship was top quality and Randy and the workers were friendly and courteous. I would strongly recommend them. Steve B.
My bathroom, laundry room and railings project began August . I had hired a designer and Sr Project Mgr Rick to coordinate together. The agreement up front was that the project had to be completed by Thanksgiving 2019. The schedule he put together stated they would be done by Halloween 2019. The project mostly finished February . I was told that the designer JLC and Iron River had worked on many projects together in the past. I found out neither really knew what they were doing and were running my bill up. It was clear that Iron River does not understand code for bathrooms. They relied on the City of Chaska to catch any design issues. In addition, when Rick looked at my home with sub contractors several walls needed to be added because he was unable to distinguish what was and outside wall and what was not. That then reduced space for the laundry room and I am stuck with a situation that is very tight and uncomfortable to use. It also created two additional walls in my bathroom, one which made it impossible to put a bathtub in. Although I am ok without the tub, the experience was very frustrating being in my bathroom with the City of Chaska, two plumbers, two people from Iron River discussing how the tub would look and work and be in code. My salvation on this project was the subcontractors did good work and I felt they were honest and straight forward. I felt Rick was only trying to appease me for things that went wrong by putting out ideas that would only create more problems long term. In addition, when I asked him about errors I found and would he fix it, several time he stated "it works, isn't that good enough". Around Christmas when Iron River was pulling staff again to work on another project I went to the owner Tracy. Her immediate reaction was to push back to me that other projects were more important than mine. Ultimately she gave in and sent a worker back. I was assured that Tracy and Iron River would be good to work with. Her comment to me was "oh well some projects go this way". I can say I was greatly disappointed in my experience with someone who was touted as being on the board of complaint and resolutions and a female business owner. The remaining details that were over looked were completed last week and I am mailing my final payment May 3rd.
