Funeral Plan
Made a claim on my fathers funeral plan more than a month ago and its still hasn't been resolved. I follow up every time and today I'm told they forgot to do cancellations and they will get back to me in 2 working days. Pathetic service and extremely insensitive. I would not do business with IUA and Hollard ever again my goodness. Policy is for Suresh Sewpersad

Edgars funeral plan
My dad passed away on 1 July 2021. He had an Edgar's Funeral Plan for more than 14 years. IUA is handling the claim - for the past 4 months! They are not satisfied with the BI provided by the state, the forms that professional doctors filled in and the AOL that registered insurers provided. In the policy document they claim that they settle a claim within 48 hours. This is not the case.
They never phone you back. They don't answer emails. You speak to a different agent every time and a manager or assessor is never available.
The prompt and excellent service they advertise is no where to be seen. I get the idea that they don't have money to settle the claim and are looking for ways to get out of the agreement.
tyre guard and extended warranty
This company is bogus, they are fraudulent and will do anything not to pay your claim. I claimed for extended warranty and all four times declined or approved only 20% of 100%, not only that, they refuse to assist in tyre insurance because they claim it was not the road that damaged a tyre that budged! Like really!
They need to stop hiding under other big companies like bidvest and those big companies also better wake up because they are ruining their reputation.

service plan
My name is Mr RG Raphunga, I have a Service plan with IUA.Today I took it for the 45000 kms Service ...I stay in Soweto however the only dealer that can service my Chery QQ3 is KIA Boksburg so I drove there this morning and arrived around 7pm as I was planning on waiting for it to serviced then go to work afterwards as I had only applied for a half days leave at work .
Next thing I know we call IUA around 8am for Authorization, only to be told they only pay claims after 3-5 days meaning I need to leave the car there and be without transport. I am very Disgusted and Disappointed with IUA's rip off of a service as the receptionist at KIA was also shocked and advised me she has never dealt or seen such before and said that with other companies they authorize and pay at very same time meaning I would have been able to leave with my car around 12pm.
as a result I had to leave my car there with even no guarantee of when I will be able to fetch it meaning I will have to drive all the way from Soweto to Boksburg again when they actually decide to pay at their own convenience ! I want my service to be authorized ASAP as I sit without transport now
Guess what, my car still remains at the Dealer since I dropped it off last week Wednesday !..All because the payment for the service is still not reflecting at the Dealer when we called IUA on Monday we were told the payment will reflect Tuesday after 12pm but it still has not ! When the Dealer called IUA again yesterday they claim payment has been made but failed to send proof of payment so as a result it has now been a week since the car was dropped at the garage for a mere 45kms service! I have no idea how things work at IUA but this can never be right, I think IUA also takes advantage of the fact that the plan is already included in the Instalment so when one cancels it you will now owe the Finance house... To add to the fuel the Service cover does not even pay for Brake pads and Wiper blades but I'm paying for this every single month since the inception of the contract .

I have a loan with wesbank and the use iua as insurance hoping the will take of my loan as now I m unemployed strange this morning it only cover six month my understanding was if I have been retrenchment the will settle the debt I have more that six month with this policy but the will only pay six month very strange and not transparent and cheating to the people
You policy refused to settle my loan and you only pay for six month which is so strange and humiliation by this insurance and I was retrenchment and hoping this loan wil be settled this morning they said only six month and I have this loan more than that is so bad I can't even pay this loan so this was not a true reflection of this insurance and the lot of people complaining about this
Shortfall complaint
I was not happy at all for the service i received after my car was a total loss, i was using iua business solutions appoint by bidvest insurance. My car insurance paid the money and only r4144 was supposed to be paid by my shortfall and when i claim they don't wanna pay, they told me they pay if its more than 6000 and i asked myself what if it was r20000 were they gonna pay for it if they don't wanna pay r4144. Worst part is i was paying the premium they whole 12months and now this means i was just wasting my money. If that service i have cancel anything under bidvest company.They are just crooks.
Policy Not Being Honoured
Could any of you please assist me in getting my claim honoured by IUA insurance, i have been struggling to get my vehicle insurance claim honoured by this company for the last 3 months. I was retreched in October due to an injury, the company i worked for and i came to a conclusion that it would be best for the company and myself to part way’s as my position was in the warehouse which meant having to load and off-load freight. The company tried to assist me financially with getting me medical assistance however the cost became to expensive to continue paying for my medical cost.and i accepted a package.
My problem is that I was refered to IUA and insurance company by Vw The Glen when i purchased my vehicle and find them to be very un-proffesional and a company that will do, or take any opportunity not to honour this claim, i sent them all documentation required and then they advise me that they need the day’s that the doctor booked me off. the doctor did not book me off for reasons only known to him.
In january i advised Marianne Van Staden that i am not processing my claim as a disibility retrenchment claim but as a normal retrenchment claim the next thing i am dealing with Janet Marimuthu and you can get more info on our communication as below.
This company has no problem drawing your payment each and every month but when it comes to paying out and honouring a claim they have various methods on how not to pay a claim. Please if you could intervene and assist me in resolving this issue i would be very grateful as i would not want to loose my vehicle because a policy that i paid every month will not be honoured by a company that wants.
