I wish to share my recent experience with iVisa, a visa application service, which has left me feeling frustrated and misled. When applying for a tourist eVisa through their platform, I encountered several significant issues that warrant attention. These issues center around misleading information regarding government fees and a misrepresented refund policy.
The reason I am writing this review is not just because of the rejection itself but due to the way iVisa handled the situation. Their refund policy is far from transparent, and they seem to mislead customers about their eligibility for refunds.
* iVisa's refund policy talks about something called "Order Closed," but they don't explain what that means.
* This makes their rules harder to understand.
* Refund policy condition they have mentioned "Any government fees that have been paid for an application are not eligible for a refund." So the customer will think if the is rejected I will get refund of balance
I asked about the refund and they replied "We are sorry to inform you that your application was rejected by the government. We must inform you that, in line with our established refund policy, your situation does not meet the eligibility criteria for a refund. According to our policy, orders falling within the Order Closed status category are non-refundable, and it's the same situation for the government fees."
* iVisa's bill said I needed to pay 6894 INR for government fees.
But the real government fee should've been only about 882 INR.The remaining balance of 6012 INR is only required if the visa is approved. However, in my current situation, if the visa is rejected, they are indicating that this amount is also non-refundable.
Considering iVisa's website claims of speed, simplicity, and traveler-friendly services, it's vital for potential customers to be aware of all aspects of their service. Despite their claims, my experience with their refund policy has been far from smooth.
In simple terms, iVisa won't refund the government fees or non paid government fee, even if your visa gets rejected. This can be really frustrating and not fair at all.
