I had roofing, aluminum siding, and gutters done by John Beal
I had roofing, aluminum siding, and gutters done by John Beal. I observed a hole in the soffit after hearing what sound like a bird in the attic area. It was obvious that the soffit was punctured during the work. I called John Beal and informed them of the situation. I sent a photograph of the hole and they told me that my contract was expired. They went on to say that it was probably caused by an animal. There is no way an animal chewed through that type of metal. The metal was pushed inward. On top of the excuses, the young lady was obviously not concerned with my situation. Her tone was dismissive and she could not wait to hang up the phone. The young lady said they could send someone out for an estimate. They did over $15000 worth of work, but they wanted me to pay more money for something they did. I would not recommend them to anyone.
I recently had work done due to storm damage to my roof and gutters
I recently had work done due to storm damage to my roof and gutters. John Beal was easy to work with and went out of their way to ensure I understood my options eventually helping me to determine the storm damage and then replace the roof of both my house and garage as well as guttering. The sales representative I worked with, Vincent, was fantastic. He was easy to communicate with giving me all options including text which is very convenient with my job. He also followed up with me prior to and after the scheduling of the work. The crew that performed the work did a great job and were very efficient. At one point, I figured they had left for lunch but realized they had completed the work, sans gutters (which were completed very soon after). The work they did was great and looks great. Ironically, a few days later there was very heavy wind and everything still looks perfect. I fully recommend John Beal for any work you are looking to do.
was outstanding and very knowledgeable. NATE, also gave me $500 off coupon. Most importantly he answer all my calls. On August 2, 2022 John Beal ROOFERS removed 4 layers of old roof and installed new roof. John Beal ROOFERS went above and beyond the call of duty. Neighbors and friends are impressed. I will use and recommend John Beal from now on.
I called John Beal because I had a few leaks in my roof. They sent out a gentleman to look at the issues. He asked if he could come in my home, I told him no because I was home alone. I offered to show him some pictures. He seemed agitated at that time. He then asked me what insurance company I have and I told him I didn't have to tell them that. He then said he was an insurance adjuster and that he knew the issue I had with my roof would not be approved by State Farm and All State. He was supposed to email me an estimate. I called today to report this information and he got back on the phone and was very hostile and had a negative attitude.I have never been treated that way before. My insurance company told me if he worked for John Beal and was an insurance adjuster that would be a conflict of interest. I told him that as well and then he said he isn't one and he is a trained adjuster and works with insurance companies. I do not trust this person to be at my home and cannot believe the negative attitude he was giving me.
John Beal Roofing replaced my roof last week and I couldnt be happier. I had gotten 4 estimates from different companies and John Beal had the best price. They completed the work in one day and cleaned up everything like they were never here. Their office staff *** and ***) and *** the gentleman that provided the estimate were all very professional and helpful. I highly recommend John Beal Roofing!
I think the person did a great job and was very knowledgeable.
I had John Beal put a new roof on my home after a recent hail storm
I had John Beal put a new roof on my home after a recent hail storm. First off, the estimator *** was friendly, courteous, thorough, & gave me a detailed, understandable job quote & explained everything they were going to replace so that I understood it. I was very impressed; other companies were not nearly as thorough. After I gave him the job, the support people followed up with email updates on what would be done & when, so that I was fully informed; very professional & much appreciated. I called *** a couple of times with *** answered or returned my call quickly. They delivered the roof shingles & the crew arrived on the days Id been told; they worked 2 days, completed the job & cleaned up thoroughly afterward. I contacted the office to inquire about payment & again they were very courteous & professional. If youre a typical homeowner whos not very knowledgeable about roofs, this is the roofer for you; *** & his staff made it easy, understandable & comfortable.
We are very pleased with our new roof from John Beal Roofing! The employees were very easy to work with and responded to questions in a timely manner. The roof installers worked on one of the hottest days this summer finishing up everything by 5 p.m. I would recommend this company
A very large branch fell on our home last fall and did considerable damage. JOHN BEAL Roofing did a great job for us. We worked with *** was ***. They replaced our roof, siding & gutters as well as coordinated tuck pointing, windows and more. Great people to work with and we highly recommend ***.
Thank you for everything I love the work you have done. It rained and not problem. I will let all my family and friends now how I love your work. And thanks again for making me feel like family. And to *** you were amazing. You took time for all my questions and you had answers for me . I am so happy . Thanks again.
with John Beal Roofing came out to help with ***. He was very knowledgeable and thorough. I will use John Beal in the future should I have additional roofing needs.

We were really happy with our work from John Beal. Nate gave us two separate quotes for our different issues, Ranger was our tech, and *** helped us in the office. All three were a dream to work with.
John Beal Roofing was very easy to work with. They used a large experienced crew to tear off and replace my roof, and they did a very professional job. I also liked the *** asphalt shingle products they used, which carried a limited lifetime product warranty. I would use John Beal Roofing again.
After some storm damage, I was out in touch with ***, who was knowledgeable and responsive and helped fix the problem quickly.*** seemed to genuinely care about my problem and how to best resolve it instead of just going through the motions. He was available through text message and cell phone throughout the entire process. Both *** and the people who did the repair work were prompt, kind and professional. ***4 stars only because of a previous and unrelated experience years back with the company. This latest experience was top flight.
Had to fix the roof before finalizing a home sale. Team was very responsive from the initial call through getting the estimate, completing the sell, getting assigned an install date, and finishing the job. ***, the install coordinator, did an exceptional job of providing service, especially in completing the final invoicing process before we could finalize the close of our home. Thanks, ***! I would recommend and use John Beal's services again.
I was in need of having some work done on my house
I was in need of having some work done on my house. I contacted John Beal Roofing with regards to wrapping the fascia/soffit and installing new gutters.*** came to my house to review the work that I wanted done. He provided me different options to choose from, made suggestions for me to consider and had samples for me to look at. *** was outstanding to work with! He answered all of my questions/concerns and was available throughout the whole project by phone or text. The price I was quoted on the estimate of cost was very fair and reasonable. The work was scheduled and completed in a timely fashion without issue. The workers that installed the material were great. They arrived on time and worked continuously throughout the day. They were very professional and thoughtful of my home. When the job was completed, everything was picked up and there was no mess anywhere. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone that needs work done on their home. Their workmanship was excellent and I would hire them again to do additional projects.
I am very displeased with this company
I am very displeased with this company. In 2017, I noticed my garage roof was sagging a bit. I chose to go with the estimate John Beal Roofing submitted. During the installation process, they reported more work needed to be done than originally thought, so cost went up another$1,250. This summer (2021) I noticed the garage roof was sagging again. I requested John Beal Roofing come to take a look, since there is a warranty. The person they sent was hostile from the beginning, already making excuses about why they were not responsible before he even looked at my garage. He stated that the problem was not the roof, but the framing of the garage. He stated that I had hired a "roofing company", when I should have hired a "framing company." I inquired why this was not determined at the time of the original estimate, or anytime during the roofing process. He just kept making excuses. John Beal Roofing plans to do nothing about my sagging roof. They do not stand behind their work, they do not honor their warranty. I would not recommend anyone use this company.
Save some time and money
Save some time and money. They refuse to do the job the right way. They only objective is to make it look good. *** that answers the phone is so unprofessional and rude that its unbelievable she shouldnt be able to deal with the public. They stretch out doing a roofing job in March 2022 and its still not completed (4 months+) Workers are liars as well so I wouldnt believe half of what they say they tell us one think and go back and tell false information to the office. *** (a worker) told us to call and ask for higher authority but they refuse to forward calls to them he didnt want to do the work because he said later on it would have to get redone for free just like a few other jobs he had to for doing his job. If you dont agree to the half done work and smile they will find everything to file to make it a legal matter. We have every right to be upset with this type of unethical behavior and work. Besides the review I wanted people to see the work so I offered people to come by and see the work that was done and unfinished. Swing by and see folks.
Our experience with John Beal Roofing was outstanding!
Our experience with John Beal Roofing was outstanding! Starting from getting a quote, our experience was amazing. The scheduling for the quote was smooth and fast! Vincent Pavia sat with us after receiving the quote and discussed each of the components, which made things so much more understandable. After accepting the quote and beginning the scheduling process, the experience continued to be smooth and fast. The crews that came out were extremely nice and clean throughout their entire work process. During this time, we had questions about different factors and received immediate help with our questions! Mr. Pavia remained in contact with us during the work progress to ensure that we were satisfied with the work...this was so comforting as we had a lot of repair needed for our roof. The cost of the roof was outstanding considering all of the repair we needed. We had two other companies give us a quote for the same repairs and John Beal had the best cost comparison by far! I have and will continue to recommend John Beal roofing to everyone...they are the best!
Removed two roofs and installed new OC roof
Removed two roofs and installed new OC roof. The work crew was phenomenal. They worked non-stop. The new OC shingles are designed with a patented nail strip with extra reinforcement for the nails. The crew worked diligently on the leak section replacing the plywood and inspecting the ceiling from above. They did everything they promised. When they left, the property looked great. I bought a magnet bar and spent two evenings combing around the building. I found a handful of nails but that was to be expected. The roof looks great! I am confident the leak is fixed. A couple of good storms will verify its fixed. I registered the roof with ***. John Beal is a certified installer of *** products which is required for their 50-year warranty. Yes, 50-year warranty and it is transferable if I sell my home. John Beal provided lien waivers I never asked for. I also received a partial refund on my homeowners this year and a 35% reduction in my premiums for future years based on the new roof. ***, from John Beal, was professional, polite, and never put out with all my changes. I give John Beal an +A.
John Beal Roofing gave us a quote of almost $9,300 to fix a roof
John Beal Roofing gave us a quote of almost $9,300 to fix a roof. We paid $3,100 down. We knew that there would be an additional charge for replacement wood. They were scheduled to come out on a specific day and their work crew showed up earlier than expected. My work crew had to turn them away and explained that they were scheduled on a different date and not ready for them. Since then, they have replaced the roof and gutters. A month or so has gone by after the replacement of the roof and my contractor received a call that we needed to pay the final bill (over $4,000 more than the original quote). I have contacted John Beal and advised them that I needed a final bill with an explanation of the overages. To date I have not received the invoice. When I spoke with the production manager, she told me the overages were due to two layers of shingles and an extremely large amount of wood replacement. I asked her to send me pictures of the replacement wood. First, they have sent pictures of the same side of the roof, just different angles. We counted the amount of wood and it doesn't seem to add up to what they are telling me they used. After receiving the pictures, i advised them that I would still need a final invoice with the explanation of overages. i've sent follow-up emails requesting information and they still have not sent me the final invoice, no explanation and no reply to my emails.
John Beal Roofing put a polyolefin PTO roof on my 2 family flat house 11 years ago
John Beal Roofing put a polyolefin PTO roof on my 2 family flat house 11 years ago. I have had no problems with the roof at all, however, I noticed that some of my capstone on the top of the brick wall seemed to be missing. I called John Beal Roofing to have someone come out and inspect it and give me an estimate. Vincent *** came out promptly at the appointed time and brought his later to inspect all around the top of the roof and the capstones. He noted that the PTO actually covered the top of the brick wall and that the capstones were functioning mostly as ballast. There was no leakage there, but he did note that there were some spots in the tuckpointing by the chimney and the top of the wall that needed attention. He also found a bullet hole in the roof made by someone who had fired a round into the air and had come down on my roof to make a small hole. This needed attention before water damage to the underlying sturcture. It was a small job, but Vincent offered to do it immediately provided the materials were on his truck. Happily, he had the materials and could fix it right away; this saved me money from an additional visit later. I was very pleased with Vincent's straightforward appraisal of the problem, and his offer to fix it immediately if the materials were there. This is the second time I have used John Beal and I highly recommend them as a reasonable and very honest company.
Hired John Beal to replace my roof on my home and porch
Hired John Beal to replace my roof on my home and porch. They left me hanging for 4+ weeks with my $2000 deposit. No call, no email or any communication whatsoever. I called them multiple times asking for a status and all they would say was my supplies were on back order. They tried to deny my work due to a fireplace removal. Wanted me to get them a letter from a professional that I no longer had a working fireplace. I removed an aftermarket fireplace and flue. Their sales representative initially said, he would verify the removal was complete. He was on vacation and never said anything to his company. I had to send multiple emails with pictures to the sales rep and their Corporate office. Two more weeks past with no communication. I called them and they were still saying they were waiting on supplies. I requested a supervisor. I spoke with her and she offered to up grade the materials on my porch roof. Then the next week somehow supplies came in they show up with a subcontracted crew who spoke no English. That was December . The final bill didn't show up for several weeks. I was on administrative leave with my job January when their bill came. I paid $1000 of the remaining $4400. Of course they called and emailed me saying I needed to pay them. The first big rain and the roof is leaking. They won't return my calls or emails. I paid a $1000 each month and final $400 in May until paid off. Now they are suing me for breach of contract.
Had a roof installed by John Beal Roofing in 2009
Had a roof installed by John Beal Roofing in 2009. Limited lifetime warranty asphalt shingles. Salesman was great, but during the roofing NONE of the crew spoke English. 1) We had canvas awnings on our home at the time. Offered to remove them during the roofing process. Was told that they would be protected during the work. After completion, they were full of numerous holes and the awnings had to be replaced. 2) During the roofing process an worker dropped a pitchfork through the roof and through a ceiling. 3) Now 13 years later, shingles have blown off the roof. When I call asking for assistance, the first item out of the lady's mouth is that this is under warranty. Not "I'm so sorry", Not "let me assist you with this problem". 4) When I ask about the lifetime warranty on the shingles that blew off the roof, I was told that I would need to file a claim with the manufacturer. 5) *** had NO record of my purchase from 2009 that they could refer to and asked that I fax in the sales contract (which I have). So let me see, on the plus side: nice salesman, the company replaced the awnings and repaired the ceiling damage to our satisfaction. On the minus side: no one on the job site that spoke English, poor attention to detail as evidenced by ruining awnings and dropping a pitchfork through our ceilings, poor customer service on the telephone when a problem has occurred after instillation, poor record keeping with no record of my purchase from 2009.My recommendation...stay away, stay far far away from John Beal Roofing

My review is a bit delayed since my roof was installed last Oct (2019), but at least over the last few months I can see how the new roof and gutters have held up. Especially with the recent hail storms we received. The roof looks great and is holding up the weather really well. I chose John Beal for a number of reasons: 1) They had the most reasonable bid for the higher end architectural roof and new gutters. In fact, one of the companies I received a bid from, who was double the cost, asked who I received bids from. I was going to hold back, but decided to let them know who and why I was leaning towards John Beal. The guy told me he used them personally (before he started with his current company) and highly recommended them. In fact, flat out told me to stop shopping around and hire them. 2) John ***, the salesman, was up front and honest about everything and guaranteed to have the best price. I asked and emailed him a ton of questions since buying a new roof was new for me. He was always quick to respond and very helpful. John Beal has a great salesman representing them. 3) Tara *** was also just as helpful with the schedule of the install and always kept me informed of the status. The weather was not the greatest at the time, which would push back my install, but it was only a day or so and they came out on a Sunday to start the work. 4) The installers were very nice and respectful of my property and family and did a great job with the install. It's unfortunate there are negative reviews. I had a completely different experience and highly recommend John Beal. In fact, a neighbor had them come out to fix a leak. She was just as happy with them as I am.
A worrisome section of my roof had an ugly, conspicuous dip in it and sank a bit under the weight of a person
A worrisome section of my roof had an ugly, conspicuous dip in it and sank a bit under the weight of a person. I agreed to an $1,800.00 contract for repairs with John Beal Roofing, less a $100 coupon. I was impressed with that companys carefully cultivated image, so I concluded they were trustworthy. We were told when to schedule 2 days for their work. Two 4 x 8 sheets of plywood were delivered. One worker arrived and removed some shingles and felt underlayment. He seemed very competent but said there wasnt really anything he could do to level the roof and make it firm. He replaced the underlayment, shingles, some flashing, and sealed a siding seam. He was kind enough to wash off some green algae on the siding, then left in less than four hours. The two sheets of plywood were picked up two days later. When the invoice arrived, it covered the full cost of a real $1800.00 project less the coupon!I phoned the account manager and asked him if he thought the *** was fair. He said hed deduct $200 plus his $75 commission still leaving their 4-man-hour failed repair costing a ridiculously high $1425.00. He sent out a supervisor when I complained that the roof now looked even worse. The supervisor climbed on the roof, then explained his company could never have made the roof right. After many phone calls, my wife and I went John Beal Roofing *** expecting to pay a fair sum for what work was actually accomplished. Managements response was to offer a final adjustment only if we agreed not to write to the ComplaintsBoard.com or in social media about our experience. We declined that discount because we wanted to legitimately caution everyone: be careful if you choose to deal with these people. I mistakenly concluded they were trustworthy. I learned they are
We have a loan out for roughly $11,000 for roofing and tuckpointing on our house with John Beal
We have a loan out for roughly $11,000 for roofing and tuckpointing on our house with John Beal. They have been a horrible to work with from the start. The tuck pointers came out to tuckpoint our house. They came unannounced and we were out of town. Came back from vacation to see they left giant piles of mortar around the walls and they left my gutters and exterior light hanging from the house instead of putting them back or informing us we needed to do it. It stormed EXTREMELY hard while we were on vacation and we came back and our basement flooded as a result of them leaving the gutter spout off. I called and complained and they did send their clean up guys to fix our basement at no extra cost to us. But just to get the clean up guys to come out was ridiculous. Their main office is unorganized and slow at responses, it took us a few weeks just to get some one to agree to schedule something and have someone out to fix it. Upon further inspection i realized they had skipped over large sections that needed tuckpoint under the basement windows, under the deck, and the corners of our chimney. Which we had to call and go back and forth with them to have someone come fix that too, which also took forever, because the tuck pointer kept missing his appointment with us. Just recently we went out to our garage and noticed a large hole in the roof that was just done in September. We haven't noticed since it was behind the open garage door. Reached out to our rep and have only heard back from him once. And that was over 2 weeks ago. My husband has texted him twice with no response and I have texted once. He originally told us that production would reach out to schedule the fix but of course no one ever reached out.. So it looks like we will be starting the new year playing phone tag with John Beal to get some to finish a job that should've been finish back in September.

Back in March I signed a contract for a new roof
Back in March I signed a contract for a new roof. I put a 1700.00 deposit down on May 11. Since then they have asked me several time to sign a amendment for more money because wood prices have increased. I asked if that was included in the contract that they could change my price 4 times now in the past month and have not been instructed as to where that verbiage is in my singed contract i am just told that is I don't sign it that they won't do the work? I am requesting that John Beal honor our contract that was accepted back in March.

I am unable to get a Lien Waver with the correct amount
I am unable to get a Lien Waver with the correct amount. When the job was complete, there was a dispute over the bill as it far exceeded the contracted amount; the original Lien Waver that was sent to me states the amount that was in dispute. The dispute was resolved and the final bill was paid in full by 2/9. At that time, John Beal sent to me a Final Invoice that shows a Zero balance. I have since reached out to them twice requesting a Lien Waver with the correct, final amount. I have yet to get any response to my 2 e-mails (sent 2/9 and 2/16).

I called them in May to replace a sunroof in my house
I called them in May to replace a sunroof in my house. They didn't come out until August . The supposedly replaced the roof; it had a one year warranty. Because of the roof we had damage to the interior of the roof. I had to call another company to replace the ceiling. When that company came, they told me that the work that Beal did was incorrect. They didn't replace the rafters of the house; they only patched so they could roll the roofing on. The other company could not do the work because of the faulty work. Beal sent workers out to redo the work in April . Took them two weeks to get out here to do it. They will not provide me a new warranty, based on the 2021 date of the work they did; they want me to use the old installation date as the starting date of the warranty.

When John Beal came to the house to provide an estimate for my soffit, I also asked if they could replace a shutter on the front of the house
When John Beal came to the house to provide an estimate for my soffit, I also asked if they could replace a shutter on the front of the house that had come off. Replacement of the shutter was added to the agreement along with the soffit/roof repair. When JB came to fix the roof/soffit I completely forgot the shutter was part of the scope. They did a great job with the roof/soffit repair and it wasn't until about a week after making my final payment I realized the shutter was never replaced. I contacted JB no less than 6 times via email, phone call and text to see about getting the shutter replaced. I was told at least 3 times that someone would be in touch with me soon but that never happened. I finally got tired of contacting JB for resolution which is why I am now submitting a complaint.

Had a new roof installed on detached garage
Had a new roof installed on detached garage. I advised the sales agent we had a few leaks and wood will need to be replaced. I was not home during the whole installation as I had them do my house in 2020 and they did a great job. I do however have solar cameras that are kinda hidden in trees. When I arrived home we immediately noticed the wavy roof where the bad wood was not replaced. Also the shingles were coming up since the wood was bowing. I reviewed video and noticed no wood had been replaced. I also watched as the crew was checking out looking into my vehicles and windows. Kinda set an uneasy feeling. One of the crew members did notice the cameras. I called and was told that they replaced wood. But they would send someone out to check the work. 2 weeks later they had someone come out and check the roof out. The guy stated that three spots of wood were bad and shingles were coming up. He took pictures. It's been 2 months and no repairs yet. They scheduled to come out today-noshow.

I watched my across the street neighbor's roof installed by John Beal
I watched my across the street neighbor's roof installed by John Beal. That is the reason I chose them even though they were not the lowest bid for this insurance job. The workers that came, there were only three of them, (my neighbors had 8), and a dumpster. They had sent me a picture of a very large dumpster that they were going to use but that's not what showed up. My brother and I (we are seniors) ended up helping carry shingle packs to the workers and by cleaning up the project. I tried calling the office about the job, but I only got their answering service and it took the company 1.5 hours to call me back. They sent three additional people who didn't speak English, we couldn't communicate with them. The third person left at 11:30 without making a dent in the job. I have tried to speak to the management but I haven't been able to reach them through the office personnel. The workers who came, I couldn't communicate with because they didn't speak English. I believe that these were subcontractors because the trucks had temporary signage on the side. By the time they finished the job it was getting dark, and we spent two hours ourselves cleaning up the yard on Saturday night. We believe the underlayment was not put on properly because the foreman was making marks on the roof (or membrane) and scoring it with something. The inspector came and he was supposed to add additional flashing on the chimney. He didn't want to do the work. He said there were too many issues with the company and he didn't want to do the work. I paid them $3100 on September 22 by a personal check and the check was cashed the next day. I have a balance of $6208 left to pay. I got a call last night, late, from someone from the office harassing me about not letting them come on Saturday. I think they are sending part-time workers on the weekends.

In March I entered into an agreement to have 19 windows replaced and was quoted an agreed upon price.($9709.27) I signed the agreement, payed the agreed upon deposit $5295(Check cleared my bank on 3/4) and scheduled a day for a second measurement for the windows. I was told they would be installed with in 6 to maximum 8 weeks. The rep came and did the measurements and again stated 6-8 weeks. I contacted my sales rep Corey in April to check on install date as I had not heard back from anyone. Corey stated he would text me back. He later text me that the order was never put in and he would contact me back. This went back and forth with no answers to when the windows would be installed. I contacted the main office and was advised they would look into it, since it was now well over 10 weeks and no windows. John Beal did call and say they needed to have another installer from Lesco come to remeasure my windows since the prior installer was not replying. I set the appointment and took the morning off. Unfortunately no one showed up. I called the office again they place me on hold. Then stated someone could be at my home that evening. The rep did show up that evening and stated they had issues with installers and he was taking over but didn't want to do a full replacement of the windows, just change the glass. I explained to him I had a contract and the widows were being replaced due to storm damage. He stated he would talk to corporate and they would let me know if wanted the job? I waited a few days and John Beals office had no update. Now they are stating may just refund my deposit of a thousand dollars? The rep said that's what I put down I explained the funds cleared my account 3/4 for $5295.00. he stated he would look into it to date another week has passed an no response. I have used John Beal for other projects and properties and never had this many issues. Nor poor customer service.

I signed a contract with John Beal in November for siding for my house
I signed a contract with John Beal in November for siding for my house. (They had done my roof before and that's why I went with them.) I had difficulties from the beginning. I was promised a particular crew. It wasn't until the end of April that I got a call saying they were having difficulty assembling the crew to come out; they were looking for an opening of time to do my siding. They started working, but then was off and on about coming to the house to do the work. The office was sending him to other places. I had to call the office frequently. Then I get a call that the crew has been fired. One third of the house complete. The office started badgering me saying that I would be in breech of contract if the work wasn't completed. They sent people out in my fenced in yard without my knowledge or permission. When i asked them about it they told me they were there to pick up a ladder. There was no ladder at my house--and they left. Another crew was sent. Awnings were taken down from the front and put in the back. They didn't show up for two days. Then when the person came he came alone, at 6 a.m. without my knowledge. I still had supplies in my garage and it took two weeks to come and pick up the materials--at 9 p.m. Nine days after the siding went up, Nine days after the job was complete, the first of two pieces feel off (June 8). They came and put it back on, and bent the gutter. The second piece falls off in July; he shows up on July 11 at 7 p.m. The worker came by himself to put it back up. I called the office and got the run around. As time goes on I see more things that were damaged: downspout in the front is bent, the worker hammered in the nails and they were crooked, one of the shutters is not put all the way in, the screws aren't in tight enough for the downspouts. I told the worker of my concerns. The office was supposed to call me but they never did. I was promised that the office would call me today and they haven't as yet. I have not paid out any money yet.

My wife and I began dealing with John Beal Roofing all the way back in February
My wife and I began dealing with John Beal Roofing all the way back in February. We had hail damage to our siding, gutters, facia and windows. We contacted John Beal and a salesman reached out to us shortly after named John ***. He came over and assessed the damaged and gave us an estimate of 13xxx for siding, gutters, facia, window and garage door wraps. We were happy with the price and decided to contact our insurance company, State Farm, and begin filing the claim. An adjuster came out and approved the work to be done and gave us 19xxx dollars for the insurance scope. > > After the insurance claim was approved we contacted John Beal and John *** came out and took photos and measurements of our siding gutters and facia. We picked out everything we wanted and he shortly came back with a contract for us to review and sign. > > All of the sudden the new price was 19xxx, the exact amount of what insurance was going to give us. 6k more than the original quote. > > We inquired about it and he more less told us that if they didn't charge what insurance was going to give, than no one got the money and the insurance company more less gets and deal so we might as well let John Beal charge us that. We though about it and we had no plans to make money off of the deal in the first place, we were just happy to get the damages to our home fixed. We sat down and had a final conversation and he said that he will take care of a front door and our deductible as well since they are basically making extra money off of it than they had originally anticipated. > > We had kind of a bad feeling about them after this but once again, the work was getting done and that was the goal. We needed the work done ASAP and it was told to us that it should be started within two weeks. That was not the case. After 2 months of them claiming that our siding was out of stock, then they had weather issues which was of course no ones fault. We told them that we would just pick new siding that they had available then all of the sudden they had what we first selected, restocked in their inventory. After the weather broke and 3 plus months of waiting, the crew they had contracted out ran out of siding materials and the gutter crew didn't show up for 3 more weeks. So one side of our garage sat with no siding on it, being exposed to rain AND we had no gutters on our home, putting our foundation at risk. There were over 50 nails that were picked up in our tiny lot, including driveway and walkway. Our front porch railing was knocked off, which was later fixed after two more phone calls to John Beal. I ended up having to hang my front and back light fixture because I was tired of waiting for them and afraid someone would come over and fall up or down my patio stairs. This part was an absolute nightmare. They crew did a decent job on the siding itself, but leaving the job without our siding completely finished and then the mess they left behind was absolutely ridiculous. > We ended up getting it all squared away after a couple more phone calls and they send us the final bill which included the deductible and of course no front or back door. We call John *** and reminded him that he stated he would not be charge the deductible and he said that there is nothing he could do. So after literally months of headache and waiting for materials, they stretched out a 2 day job to a month long process of us calling and doing a portion of the work ourselves, he tells us that we owe an extra $1000. > This company is not trustworthy and the headache will prevent me from ever using or referring them to my friends and family every again

Horrible customer service received from John Beal Roofing
Horrible customer service received from John Beal Roofing. Upon signing the contract on June 18, I was informed by the sales person that someone will call in about 6 week to schedule install. During the consultation, he mention just covering broken and/or rotten wood. I informed him not to do that and to replace any broken and/or rotten wood. Well after 6 weeks had past and not scheduling call, I called and spoke with a gentlemen. He stated someone should have call by now and that he would pass my information on to the schedulers. Well after a week of no call back, I called and was connected to a scheduler who said she never got the message. The roof install was scheduled for 8/22. It was rescheduled for 8/24 due to weather. Upon review of the roof install, I discovered that all of the broken and/or rotten wood (plywood and 2x4s) were not replaced. Also, a mess was left behind of debris through out the property. Nails were left through out. I understand that all will not be able to gather, but there was not an attempt for any to be collected. I called in with my concerns and an Area Manager came out to review and he cleaned up the mess. As for the broken and/or rotten wood, he tried to convince me on multiple attempts just to have the broken and/or rotten covered by the soffia/fascia and to ask for a mark down on the final bill. I explained to him what I informed the salesman of about bad wood. He stated the crew would come back to replace the plywood and 2x4s could be replaced (sistered) during the fascia/soffia install. The fascia/soffia install was delayed due to having to order the material even though the agreement was signed months ago. The fascia/soffia installers never arrived on first scheduled date. I did not receive a call either. The scheduler call to follow up and I informed her no work was done. She stated that was strange because they were billed. She looked into and called me back and stated they got held up at another job and would be there Friday morning. I call the scheduler at 2pm because no one had arrive. She called me and stated they were headed my way. My daughter informed around 4pm that they pulled up and drove away. The scheduler call and asked if the material was in the garage. I replied no and that it all was in the drive way. (There for a week.) I asked if they had the correct address and she stated yes. My daughter informed me that they reappeared. I arrived home late in the dark. The fascia/soffia installers are working in pitch black dark without any lights. That concerns me about the workmanships and final completion results. They left mess again of debris and nails. Again, no attempt to magnetize the nails ups or clean up debris. I have pictures to support all of this which I forwarded on to the scheduler. I cleaned up the mess and did not wait for the area manager since it was the weekend. I have dogs and children and did not them stepping on nails. The also left the gate open which allow my 2 dogs to escape. Luckily the neighbor informed us of the dogs running loose. Before the fascia/soffia install, I reminded the scheduler of the 2x4s sistering repairs (from the roof install) that the area manager stated could be done during this install. In the email I even sent photos of the areas needing the repair. I stated in the email to please take after-pictures of the repairs or I would be requesting to the removal of the facsia/soffia for verification. That being said, no after-pictures of the areas I requested were taken, so I requested removal. The scheduler tried to scare with me with extra billing for another appearance, if the work was shown to be done. I rejected that because the correct pictures were not taken or provided. I was inconvenience again with having to stay home from work to meet with the area manager. He was late, so he called to reschedule because he had to get some documents to the office. But he recognized the unhappiness in my voice and decide to arrive that morning. He seem to not know why he was there, so I explained it. He then stated that he knew the work was not done because they were not billed by the sub contractors. He removed one of the areas and confirmed the repairs was not done. They sent someone else back out that weekend to access and he also seem to not know why he was here. So I explained it again with the photos already sent. He stated he needed to get material and would be back that day (Saturday) or Monday. On Tuesday, the scheduler called to follow up on repairs and I informed her that he had not returned as he stated. She called back and stated he would be there this Saturday. Between all of this, scheduler attempted to the schedule the gutter install before the repairs could be completed. I suggested to hold off cause gutter install may cause more work on the warranty repairman. The repair work was complete. Throughout this whole ordeal, I was asked to move material into the garage because of delays to prevent theft or weather damage. The gutter install was scheduled. I get a call from the scheduler asking if the material was in the garage. I stated no and confirmed that with an email when I got home. I explained additional material were taken after both the roof and soffit/fascia installs. The next day, the scheduler call me and stated they had the material in stock and they would be out tomorrow. She call me to follow up on the job and I stated that the work was not done. She called back and stated some would be out tomorrow. Again, this was a call about an install that was not completed. The gutter install installed was pushed back twice and not because of weather. All three installs had delays or multiple day. Two of the three installs demonstrates poor workmanship and/or customer service. I have been inconvenienced the following ways; alot of phone with scheduler, moving materai in and out of garage, time from work to meeting with area warranty manager, retrieving loose dogs, and cleaning up after installs.Horrible customer service received from John Beal Roofing. Amazingly, 3 days of work spanned over 9 months.
