On Wednesday October 18th I visited the Hutson dealership in Alpena, Mi. for the purpose of purchasing a lawn/leaf sweeper. I did not have time to spend so I made arrangements to talk with Matt the salesperson. I left Matt my phone number as I previously purchased a tractor, snow blade and wagon from him and Hutson. Matt did not call me back on Thursday October 19th after I made 3 attempts. I finally talked to Matt later in the day on the 19th and we agreed that I would meet him at the dealership after my wife's 8am appointment on the 20th. He told me he would have the papers ready to sign as I was using my line of credit. We arrived at the dealership at approximately 8:20am at which time I was told Matt was not available as he had a doctor's appointment. The staff at the store was apologetic and disappointed in Matt. In addition, Matt did not have any of the paperwork as previously represented to me. Matt finally showed up at approximately 9am, an hour late and proceeded to tell me that he did not have the paperwork prepared. My wife had an appointment across the state in Traverse City at 1:30 pm. We could not wait any longer so we agreed that Matt would email me the papers and I would sign, scan and return them to the dealership. Two young men from the dealership loaded the sweeper in my truck. I asked them if they tied it down, they said no. I asked them to please tie it down at which time they got a ratchet strap and strapped the unit down. I pulled out of the dealership and made it less than 3 miles at which time the sweeper fell out of my truck and smashed the unit and scratched the tailgate on a 4 month old truck. I am totally dissatisfied and will not deal with this dealership again.
Desired outcome: I have told the dealership that they need to deliver a replacement unit to my residence and reimburse me for the body repair on my truck.
