bracelet
I've just bought a $65 Kendra Scott braves for my birthday about four days ago. I've worn this bracelet twice and I really liked it a lot. Very simple but very cute. Unfortunately today I noticed it was turning my wrist green and causing it to itch where the chain rests in my skin! It's FAKE! I was told it was sterling silver! I'm very angry to have paid such a high price for a piece of fake jewelry that I can't wear now. I can't believe they get away with charging that much and claiming it to be real when it's clearly fake. Shame on this awful brand!
necklace
I have always loved Kendra Scott jewelry and have turned on my thirteen year old Granddaughter to liking it too. I have an extensive collection and occassionally put a piece away that I am no longer interested in wearing. The other day I took out an older necklace from Kendra Scott and it was tarnished & wondering what the heck happened? I have other older pieces this has not happened to. Of course, have no receipt for this piece but wondering if there is anything I can do to restore or exchange this? (I am sure it is retired, just like me :) Please send me positive feedback back since I want to continue this tradition with me three Grandchildren.
my necklace
I have had my my necklace for about a year now and the bearings that hold my stone in have changed to a reddish color and I have the black necklace I was wondering if there was any why to fix it or if I could get a new one i didn't know if I could take it to my store if they would fix it or not or if my necklace if messed up because this has never happened before
complaint
I was curious about the myriad of mixed reviews, positive & negative, of Kendra Scott jewelry. So I did some research as to the recommended care instructions as well as the materials used. It's not a secret that the base metal used in her pieces is brass as that is reflected within the product description. Despite being coated with another product, brass is a poor quality base and is very inexpensive to obtain which is the reason for its usage of choice to a manufacturer. Brass contains zinc and is very susceptible to tarnishing. It is difficult to last just due to what it is, again despite being covered with something else. Brass is not an easy metal to cover and have the cover last without rubbing off which in turn exposes the Brass. Brass exposed to air, water, humidity, perfumes, products in lotions will exacerbate the tarnishing effect. Even body oils will cause inexpensive finishes to fade or rub off exposing the underlying brass which definitely responds negatively to moisture and oils within skin. Something in Kendra Scott's care instructions for the pieces is not to expose to water, sweat, humidity, perfumes, lotions. As well, the material used to cover Brass is also susceptible to rubbing off given nothing really adheres to Brass that well hence why it doesn't last long. Once the coating over the Brass wears thin, just the exposure to air will cause it to tarnish creating a green residue. It stands to reason those who rate the jewelry high and have no negative experiences with it are ones who likely don't wear any one piece that often which gives it less exposure with skin, don't expose it to perfumes or lotions, and store it in a dark, covered space as even exposure to light can adversely affect inexpensive metals. All in all, though this jewelry may have a strong visual appeal, it is very inexpensively made as well as manufactured under inexpensive labor being in China which makes the profit margin astronomical for the business owner. Incidentally, the claims of Kendra Scott that the jewelry line is made in her home business location in Austin are likely relative and limited to the design aspect, not the literal manufacturing of the pieces. All sales tags clearly represent "made in China" in plain view. I don't mind paying quality for quality, but this certainly is paying quality for very much less than.
The responses from Kendra Scott to the negative experiences are comical. She is doing nothing more than acknowledging the experience, offering a noted apology and thanking the customer for sharing as "they always strive to provide the best experience and customer support, etc. and feedback helps do that" Not a single thing is done to resolve the issues of the multitude of customers being left with jewelry they paid good money for yet can no longer use and after very short time spans of purchase. If this is such a frequency among a variation of Kendra Scott jewelry pieces, there is a common denominator which is: POOR QUALITY MATERIALS AND MANUFACTURING
SIDENOTE: I observed on the BBB site that this business, Kendra Scott Designs, Inc., is not "BBB accredited"...interesting after 17yrs of being in business
the inattentiveness of checking for harmful fraud websites
My complaint towards Kendra Scott is referring to the lack of awareness and protection of harmful websites where many are exposed to fraud and to the thousands who still are, because of the lack of removing these ads from our social platforms.I really Believe the company should try to compensate for this uneventful issue that has occurred to not one but many people, it is truly ashame that this occurrence has happened and brought disappointment among many.
elyse ring
My kids bought me the Elyse ring for Mother's day. While I have worn it almost daily, I do take it off when showering, doing dishes, putting on lotion, etc. Here we are a month and a half later and the silver is plating is already wearing off the back with a brassy metal showing through. Seems crazy that a ring that costs $70 wouldn't even last two months.
My jewelry is wearing as well. It’s also tarnished.
kendra scott jewelry
I ordered twice and each order was for more than 49 dollars for free shipping. However the email confirmation I received looked like a legitimate Kendra Scott site. I notice grammar error in the response. Proceeded to contact Kendra Scott support and they did not recognize the order number. Beware of Instagram and Facebook adds that claim a 70% discount on Kendra Scott jewelry.
The offer is too good to
Be true.
What all is there to do towards trying to get a refund, after being scammed by theses websites?
all of the jewelry
I love the look of Kendra Scott jewelry but it is just overpriced, crappy costume jewelry. Every piece I have purchased has completely tarnished within a couple months of purchase. I even called Kendra Scott to see if they had a repair service that could re-plate the jewelry. She was rude and basically told me I was out of luck. I follow the care instructions to a tee. This jewelry is too expensive not to. I no longer purchase for myself or as gifts. I can buy better quality at Charming Charlie, lol! I wish they would stand by their products and fix the problem.
Yep, same. Every single piece. I’ll never buy again. I even store my jewelry in those special order, non-tarnish bags. Doesn’t help.
kendra scott necklace
I just recently got my Kendra Scott necklace in January! As a Christmas gift and the silver is already tarnished! If it was true sterling silver it wouldn't have tarnished like this and I am very disappointed. I take very good care of my jewelry but this is ridiculous. It's only the beginning of March. Not even 3 months! A lot of money was spent on this and I expect it to be of the upmost quality, or at least better quality than something bought at Walmart
pendant necklace in mint elisa
I am sad to say that this necklace tarnished right away but that didn't stop me wearing it, b/c I absolutely love it... as matter of fact, I have three of the same necklaces which all tarnished and I don't care, I still wear and get many compliments, however, the other day the chain part of the necklace actually pulled away from the stone which leaves me no option to wear. I do love these necklaces, the tarnishing is one thing ( not thrilling but cleanable with dawn and water), but the weakness of the chain is a whole other and very disappointed that I have to try to replace. Please make the jewelry to withstand time... for the cost, I thought I would have this for a lifetime. Not so much, I understand now.
necklaces. (multiple)
I have purchased at least 5 in the last year for myself and as gifts and all have seemed to rust and tarnish. Even well taken care of and super delicate doesn't make a difference. I feel that this is not the image that a company as well known and admired as kendra scott would want. I know as a loyal customer it is very disappointing and discouraging to see that this is money just lost.
Are you ordering from kendrascott.com or did you order them from some knockoff website (other than dept stores, I suppose, such as Nordstrom or Nieman Marcus) that sell counterfeits?
Remember, nearly all metal will tarnish because air is corrosive. Yes, corrosive. While "real" silver, gold, platinum can be cleaned/wiped down to get rid of the tarnish, any plated items will not fare so well being wiped, as eventually, the plating is being slowly eaten away. Rubbing and contact with certain skin ph's can accelerate tarnishing as well. That's what fashion jewelry is...cheapass jewelry that people expect not to tarnish or turn color. if that was so, there would be little value in having any jewelry made with precious metals.
The only way to not have tarnish-damaged jewelry is to skip the fashion jewelry altogether and buy the real thing. Real gold, sterling silver, or platinum are more expensive, copper, etc., ...but this is one reason why. People won't spend the money on better materials, yet they expect it to perform as if it were made off such.
elisa necklace
My daughter purchased this for my mother's day gift. I've followed all protocol on protecting this jewelry. I don't spray perfume or hairspray after putting it on. I had not worn it for a couple of months and got it out of my jewelry box to wear. The prongs and part of the chain has tarnished. My daughter and granddaughter were thrilled to get me a necklace I had wanted. It is a gift that I will always cherish, but I cannot wear it looking like cheap quality jewelry.
Customer service is useless! Cheap quality jewelry! Beware!
kendra scott ring
I received a Kendra Scott ring for Christmas, I have taken it off before showering washing my hands and it is still turning my finger black. Very very poor quality! Her jewelry is to expensive for the price and I do not recommend wasting your money. Very disappointed. She either needs to make better quality jewelry or lower her prices! Very overrated and overpriced.

I love Kendra Scott but I am all of a sudden noticing my necklace tarnishing. I have tried several methods to try to clean it but none are working. I have read that soap and water can get it clean, that didn't work . I have tried jewelry dip but nothing budged. I am very disappointed in my necklaces, I paid good money for them and this is not what I thought...

I just don't understand how they get off charging so much money for such awful products. I've purchased $5 rings with better quality than Kendra Scott's awful jewelry. They say to constantly take it off when washing hands, applying lotion, and basically any day to day activity... which i've done despite the inconvenience (i don't do this with my Pandora...

So I absolutely love my Kendra Scott necklace, but it's turning my neck green. I wear this knecklace almost every day because I think it is so pretty but I have had people ask why my neck green. I've even had someone ask if I've been chocked because it kinda looks like a bruise. I was wondering if I could put polish or something on it so that it won't turn me green anymore but I don't know what to do.
Thanks,
Samantha!
necklace
I recieved a necklace about a month ago as a gift & i loved it so much and wanted to wear it everyday because it means a lot that it was given to me as a gift but only a few weeks in the chain has begun to rust & turns my neck green even though i take it off before going in water. For the cost of this necklace it's disappointing that the quality of the product isn't better
jewelry
I'm disappointed in Kendra Scott. I take very good care of my jewelry but it seems like my Kendra Scott loses its coloring. The silver fades to a tarnish color. It's says that you should wear perfumes or lotions with your jewelry. So basically you're saying your product is cheap and will be no good if anything touches it. I have other costume jewelry that does not do this and I paid less.

Its fashion jewelry, if you take it back to the store they will fix it. The sterling silver that she sells defiantly is more than $65 dollars. You were misinformed if you were told that is sterling silver
