Kent Water Purifier
Extremely bad service by Kent Kuwait. Once these people install purifier at your home you no longer exist in their customer book list. I am repeatedly calling customer care for my FIRST SERVICE since past two months and every-time I call, I end up getting false promises about sending technician at home for filter replacement but no one ever turned up. Do not fall in trap of Kent Kuwait. Beware friends. Please let me know if I can file a complaint against them to some higher authority in Kuwait who takes care of customer related issues.
water purifier - grand plus - services
Dear sir,
I am an owner of kent grand plus ro since last 2 years.
Upon complaining to service center, the service engineer (ali - [protected] from ssv enterprises) was deputed to resolve the concerns.
He mentioned my filters are a problem & need complete replacement.
All the filters were changed (ro, sedimentary & carbon) for a cost of rs 3, 100 rupees (no receipt was provided - upon request from my old mother at home).
In next 2 days the ro started giving continuous beep sound. upon multiple phone calls (30+) to the service engineer (ali) of kent ro, he is not answering my calls & asking to make additional payment for other filters for 1, 050 rupees.
My concerns —
1. is this the way kent is creating values for customers.
2. errant service engineers hungry for personal benefits & at the end of the day maligning company & promoters name. urgent action should be taken against such engineers, who later will again harass me to raise the real concerns.
3. I am not sure that the filters replaced by the engineer were also real, as the continuous beep sound started coming - indicating something is a miss with the machine.
Please help me resolve this at the earliest by repairing the machine.

I purchase Kent 1.5 years back. It worked perfectly fine for 1 year. After that it started giving "4 continuous beeps for 30 seconds". According to the manual, this meant change of filters. I got this all done. It started working fine. After another month, it again started giving 4 continuous beeps. This time, service guy told me that computer chip/mother board circuit component has failed and replaced it. After another month, i.e. on current day, it has started giving a single beep in 3 seconds. I am tired of calling the service guy again and again within short span of 2 months time. There seems to be a serious issue with the quality of Kent products and I am not going to buy another product from Kent if they don't fix these issues for good.
pathetic support and no response at all
Kent is taking people for a ride .. my Kent Pearl RO is giving constant issues .. most of the time authorized dealer don't pick up phone .. and they don't care.. only about couple of months ago they replaced filter... now I am getting constant beep sound .. they take their own time to respond /resolve .. each time they come they demand exorbitant money Ever since I purchased I have got no response at all either from service center or even Kent company.. (benson & hedges) - factory fault
I bought a pack of Benson & Hedges on the 11th of September 2015 at one of the Engen garage's in Faerie Glen. One of the cigarettes filter's paper were over lapping and stuck together. Due to this, smoking off the cigarette were uncomfortable and I did not enjoy it as usual.
As you know, cigarettes are expensive these days, and it's a pity that one should find a smoke like that in a packet.
Your assistance regarding this matter, in compensating me will be highly appreciated.

This is a TOTAL Fake company that claims to be a part of Kent India.
This fake company is selling assembled china products and selling to very hing prices and claiming it to be from the India Kent Manufacturer. They have named their company Kent RO Trading LLC to confuse and cheat customers.
I was duped by this company. I paid AED 2450 for a water purifier. The sales person will try and convince you with a demo that shows that their water is cleaner than the tap and bottled water. The way they deliver their demo is very convincing and so many customers get carried away. His name was Ahmed [protected], [protected])

Whatever above the comments say, i had this Kent water purifier installed in 2012, also by Ahmed and i am using this for 4 years now and had been very good, wonderful product and service from them. Also ahmed used to call me and check about the service every 6 months as i had a AMC all these years and the guys used to come and service, change filter that was main thing and had no issues. Also i could feel the water after changing the flter and before replacement. So fro 7 or 8 months i didn't hear from these guys nor the AMC was done. So i wandered what have happened. then i came across this site while searching for someone to change the filter, and saw the phone number of ahmed (i had changed ohone and lost contact) so called that number and spoke, and he remembered me after some conversation. Then he told me that nobody is coming for the service nor any phone call, i.e, because the earlier dealer had some outstanding bills or whatever and left the country. So he has changed his company but in same field. he told me that he couldn't speak to his old customers and he said he will give the service, AMC free shifting all those service which was in earlier expired contract. I don't think from my perspective that everything above mentioned was correct, again people have their own thoughts. I am happy with the product, was very concerned about the filter as i can see from outside the brown residue getting stronger and the water flow from the tap is getting slower very fast as used. just need to change the filter. Ahmed will visit this weekend and advise.
I am totally disagree with the competitors, actually these people are trading with different names for Water and they are facing a threat due to our success. We are providing quality water in the UAE.
Complaint is absolutely correct. above mentioned Company is a fraudulent. they are using Hema Malini photos without any authority.
Not only fake product but also opt for rude behavior if you talk to them about genuine product range. Its was very easy to catch them, as they do not hold any other model except "under the sink" model and can not provide any authentic certificate like CE or NSF.

This is to say that I have a Kent ro machine which i purchased ion 13th June 2006.
From the last one year, its not working well.I have to get its membrane and filters changed every three months.I always get its AMC done and get it serviced regularly, Inspite of that it is not working properly.I have to get its part changed very frequently which proves to be very expensive and problematic for me. No body comes for service inspite of complaining a no. of times.They also took the sample of water with them 10 days back but there is no response since then.I am really fed up of this kind of service.

We had bought kent grand plus on 20th jul 2012 through your dealer in borivali, mumbai- sai enterprises with machine’s serial no kr120426260.
Since the installation the machine has broken down very frequently. just a few days after the installation the machine shut down, after regular followups with the dealer finally on the 3rd day the machine was working. after that 3 times the machine had a problem and after complaints lodged in your call center, the technician always turned up on the 3rd or 4th day. when it comes to drinking water which is so crucial this kind of service is unacceptable. our earlier purifier had excellent service, all complaints were attended on the same day.we had to order bisleris and manage with a lot of difficulties.

On the 4th complaint, he says that the candle needs to be changed( costing inr 400) and pressure controller needs to be installed (costing inr 1250) . when we bought the machine we were told that the candle needs to be changed every 2 years and we already have a water pressure installed with our previous water purifier so the person installing kent said that it will work fine with it. after a few days, i saw that the machine still has a leakage and a lot of vibration but no proper response from kent.again on jul 18th 2013, the ro was leaking, instead of calling the call center i complained on mouth shut, a technician sujit (who was extremely inefficient in his work and bad mouthing his own company and product) visited my place and said that the candle filter and ro membrane needs to be replaced..i was furious after paying for a part replacement just 2 months back, i was in no mood to keep spending every few months and that for a machine which was barely a year old. i spoke to mr. gupte who is apparently head of customer services in mumbai but who is completely non-customer oriented said neither machine will be replaced and nor money will be refunded. i reiterated that not all kent machines could have a problem but probably mine could be a manufacturing .he was rude and non-sympathetic to the customer's need. after which speaking to one ms anchal in their noida office also didn't yield any fruitful results. i must say my 1 year experience with kent was atrocious & ugly. a company with inefficient product, incapable employees and pathetic product.
In less than 1 year if the machine breaks down so frequently and we have to keep spending on such expensive parts after spending inr 15000.. it’s appalling to see how much they spend on advertisements and nothing on customer service.

Im disgusted with the pathetic after-sales service of Kent RO .
In our case we bought Kent Excel l last year and now since past one month it had been giving a beep sound .Accordingly registered complaint and the technician came thrice changed UV bulb, then condenser, then smps and finally yesterday uv bulb holder.To our frustration the beep sound is still there and ro is not working though we have already paid for all the services.the last thing now left is to file a consumer complaint .im buying water despite having ro at home which as u can see is of no use thanx to the inefficient servicing .something need to be done quickly as we are totally losing patience.

duplicate products in the market

Recenlty i have noticed that many kent -cigarettes are duplicated and released in to the market. I bought a cigarette packet(Kent -Special) 2 days back and for almost 14-16 cigarettes the filter(bud) is getting separated when i took it form the pack. I was so irritated with this. I already exchanged a pack with the store manager and showed him the cause. He gave me a new pack and this turns out to be worse than that..Is this because of duplication or company is not meeting its quality standards? what ever it may be pls take action ASAP.

Hi, I smoke the B&H Blue and 3 times I have bought a packet of 20 and the filters are loose, the crappy thing is, mine was towards the end of the packet and I did not even bother to return to the shop as I am a rep and travel most of the time and quite frankly I do not have the time to travel up and down, my petrol is costing more at the end of the day. I do feel that buying B&H blue is now becoming a big waste of money!
Hi, like most the people on this site I to started with Benson and Hedges in December 1978. Then reluctantly went over to Kent Special. I found the last two months that the cigarettes stink. Not your normal cigarette smell, an actual stink. It is like a chemical smell. Now I'm no expert, but I am wondering if this is because of the reduced ignition propensity. Maybe the mix is out of sync, but it leaves one hell of a bad smell. Can it be fixed ? Or must I ask will you fix it.
And now a tongue in cheek question. Because of the reduced ignition propensity, can you please give a free lighter with every carton. You have to light a cigarette at least two to three times and lighters just don't last anymore.
I have bought a packet of Kent Special and must say i wasted my money as half the packet the actual cigarette had very little if any filling in it! The bar code is [protected].
I am smoking for 23 years and always Benson and Hedges until you changed it to Kent. I agree, the packing is a lovely change, never the less my husband and i kept smoking Kent. But have to add that your cigarettes is not so cool no more. You light a Kent and while you think it is still lit it just died. All of a sudden we have to light Kent every two to three times. Same problem more than half the packets filters are loose! I almost rolled my car last night, i tip-ed the ash and the whole cigarette fell off.

I have also been a smoker for 22 years: Benson & Hedges Special Mild and now Kent Special. I've never experienced this problem before: The cigarette just continuously goes out whilst smoking and also ashes more often than in the past. I find this very frustrating.
I bought this carton with which I'm experiencing this problem from Makro, Silver Lakes: Bar code [protected].
I will appreciate it if you can investigate the problem and hopefully rectify it, otherwise I will be forced to change my brand.

I agree with the above complaint. I have been a smoker for 40 years and never changed my brand. Benson & Hedges and now Kent Special. The same problem with the filter (bud) getting separated as well as the cigarette just goes out continuously whilst smoking. RO was purchased last year and in less than a year it has broken down many times. we have asked service engineer to rectify it but no action and all we get is complaint no. We bought this Kent RO on 22nd Nov, 2010 last year.
In less than a year we have had a breakdown of this RO many times. We were given to understand by your sales team that Kent provides the best ROs but after getting such shoddy product, which has broken down within the warranty period and extremely poor after sales service, we regret our decision to buy your product.
We have spoken to Mahendar (Service Manager) at Gurgaon center many times but apart from giving us false assurances, and asking us to speak to the Dharmender (Technician) directly, no action has been taken.
We have tried Mr. Bhardwaj’s-(Service Head) no also but he never picks up the phone.
Dharmender (Technician) visited the premises couple of times and all he says is due to water pressure the machine leaks. We have got that resolved. Infact, during his last visit he did not install the candle properly and as a result we are unable to use the RO since then. We did ask him to fix that but he never turned up even after confirming that he will visit in the afternoon of 29th & 30th May to fix it.
We are disappointed with the callous attitude of Kent employees towards customers, this can be gauged from the fact that we have not been able to use the RO since 23rd May and are getting bottled water since then.
We did lodge a complaint and had requested customer care to resolve this and all we get is complaint no’s - [protected].
As the machine is under warranty, we would like to get it replaced, or else, please refund our money.

terrible after sales service
We purchased a Kent RO system in August 2009, which has been having problems with water purification performance ever since October 2009 onwards. We would need to make atleast half a dozen phone calls for a service person to attend to it. To top it, he would identify the problem to replacement of candles etc (within such a short period?!), but he would not have the spare part with him, nor would he promptly replace the spare part shortly. That would require another half a dozen calls. I am terribly upset with my purchase. Is there a way to make the company responsible and return the item as I am not willing to put up with it any more.

ro system candles require replacement
Kent RO system installed at my home is not functioning well. Candles are due for replacement. When ever we call over telephone their people do not attend properly more over once consequent upon our complaint no. 1444 service staff visited our home and replaced one candle and assured us to replace another candle in day or two that was on 04.07.2008. Since than neither he turned back nor he is responding our calls. The reason may be that my wife was not having change at that time and that guy was supposed to return remaining money to us and he had also assured to replace another candle but till dated no one has turned back. Such a sorry state of affairs by co.'s employees without caring their valuable customers, absconding for retaining small amount and left us unattended. This story itself speaks about very-very poor state of affairs of co.'s responses towards customer's complaints.

terrible after sale service
The company has a totally non-existent sales service support. I had purchased Kent RO water purifier system around a year back and it was informed that every three months the system will be checked but nobody has ever bothered to attend for the same. When I had some problem with the system and when I tried to contact there was no response and thereafter I was informed that the service provider have been changed and I must contact the new distributor.

I have been facing a problem with my device since about 6 months now. The water outlet would always flush out too much of water and I would have to change the bucket under it time and again. Well, initially i thought maybe it was just a part of the process, since i had no doubt about the company image of Kent. Anyways, I started calling the dealer who sold me the device, since the warranty card said that any defects whatsoever (unless by mishandling), and most of the time the person did not even understand what i was speaking. I was horrified at the kind of response i was getting. Anyways, on August 18th I decided to go to the outlet myself to get my problem addressed. They said my problem will be solved soon since it was a problem with the membrane only and it can be replaced. I waited for 10 days calling them up each day but they just kept delaying it. On 2nd September i decided to visit the outlet again where to my horror i was told that i would have to pay for the membrane as it is not covered in the warranty. I went through the warranty card again and saw that it very clearly says that any defects whatsoever within the warranty period would be covered free of cost unless it is due to mishandling. Anyways now i have understood that my device wasnt functioning since May but i realized by August. The customer service people are doing nothing but delaying the response in order for the warranty period to get over.
They give me useless excuses at times like " Sir your device's membrane is being sent from our main store from another city" or "Sir, You will have to pay for it".
Now, I am sick and tired of this non-sense. I have realize not only that it is not the amount of money i wasted on numerous phone calls and fuel i burnt to go to them time and again to complain. It is also not worth my energy to argue with the customer care people as not only do i feel they lack common sense but they are extremely rude. I am now trying one last time to get my problem resolved before i have to file a case against Kent in the consumer court and let the law decide the further course of action. So, If any of the Kent Customer Service Heads do get to read this please let me know if my matter can be resolved without me having to approach the court.

Even I repent having spent Rs 13, 000 for this white elephant (Kent Grand Purifier) - no after sales service, the water leaks from the tank, the installation is messy with a tube leaking so called 'waste water' (God alone knows if this is really waste because it flows out with almost the same intensity as the inlet, also results in a lot of wasted water); no indicators to let you know it's full - a waste of money - please do not buy this product

I bought Kent RO system from a Kent dealer - AB Solar & Supreme Technologies, Bangalore in Feb 2008.
Since the 2nd month of purchase of the system I have been facing problems of the system's tank overflowing with water and flooding the kitchen floor. The said dealer has tried to fix the problem without any success. Last month because of the overflown water my spouse slipped in the kitchen and injured her knee. At this point I asked the dealer to place change the system as it is dangerous. He responded by saying that because the system has not been mounted on the wall it is overflowing and so we mounted it on the wall. In spite of that the system is overflowing and 2-3 attempts made by the technician were not able to fix it.
A few days later a 60 yr old lady slipped on the flooded kitchen floor as the Kent system was overflowing and fractured her knee. So I called the dealer and asked for replacement of the piece. He has refused to give any service and has wrongly accused me of detaining his technician in my house. The technician was in my house for abt 15min.s during which he spoke over the phone to his manager (the said dealer). Instead of helping, the dealer turned abusive!
Now have tried to reach Kent directly! They sent a technician - he again fixed the system which lasted for 2 days and again the overflowing started. Further calls to Kent has led to false promises of sending technician which has not happened and they keep trying to push us back to dealer with whom we don't want to deal! It just appears that Kent people don't seem to appreciate the problem even after two accidents! If it were US, easily we could have sued them and got damages - I have videos of water overflowing again and again.
To summarize, Kent RO has been a bad product in our experience and the service has been pathetic. Buy it at your own risk !

beep sound in kent ro uv after the replacement of activated carbon filter n uv tube and water purification is stopped.. please explain y the sound comes... service person visit charges should be exempted as the filters are changed before a month only.

I am a KENT user for last four years. Happy with their product and service.
I bought kent 3 years back after their salesman Subin promised me tons of benifits. Right after 6 months that is when i was promised a free filter change, no one showed up, i called and complained, they said if the machine is not beeping it doesnt require filter change. A year passed, still no beeping. I called them again, forced them to come and replace filters, they took a week to come but changed it. Now this year i wanted a filter change by paying and they tried to lure me for 1 year additional warranty for 30kd. I refused and asked them to change filters for 10kd and thats it. The guy came, changed it and went away. Next day the machine starts beeping. I call them, this time he takes 4 days to come until then we use bottled water..he comes and says he forgot to reset the machine. He goes away, 2 days later again the machine starts beeping, and its been a month they dint send their technician back again and we are unable to use the machine, 170 KD paid for nothing. The worst after sales services ever experience in Kuwait. Kent is friendly until u do the purchase. I have found a 'Consumer rights department' next to Jabriya Police station and will be heading there after Eid Hollidays. mani_leo@live.com
I too had similar experience. Service is pathetic in Kuwait. A good filter without proper service is useless. You will never see those nice marketing guys once you buy the filter. Then you will be banging your head every time after talking to service center. So think twice before buying this filter.
