I was in Kettering Health's Main Campus for 10 days, specifically in the 3500 wing
I was in Kettering Health's Main Campus for 10 days, specifically in the 3500 wing. The staff there were the nicest, smartest, and most caring people I've ever met! I can't express how grateful I am for their help. Thanks a lot, guys! Billy
Kettering Health is not good
Kettering Health is not good. Staff is rude and unprofessional. Doctors are not good and charge for more time than they spend with patients. They only care about money, not patients. I am very upset and would not recommend to anyone, not even my enemy.
I gotta say, Kettering Health really let me down
I gotta say, Kettering Health really let me down. My grandma fell and we rushed her to Soin, but they only took one x-ray and didn't seem to care much. They even accused her of being a druggie! They just sent her home with some pain pills. But it turns out she had a really bad fracture that needed surgery and she had to stay in a nursing home for weeks. Not cool, Kettering Health.
The peeps who took care of me at the Piqua hospital were awesome!
The peeps who took care of me at the Piqua hospital were awesome! They were so profesh and got me in and out and stitched up in no time so I could get back to my thang. I dunno who all helped me, even the peeps at the desk were amazing and easy to work with. Thanks a ton for doing what you do, I appreciate all of y'all.
Went to ER cuz my neck cyst was all swelled up and hurtin' bad
Went to ER cuz my neck cyst was all swelled up and hurtin' bad. Doc didn't do nothin' to help me out, just wanted to give me more antibiotics which I was already takin'. Felt like she didn't give a hoot if I got better or not. Ain't comin' back here, gonna find another hospital. This was my first and last time here.
I was really upset after my last visit to Sycamore hospital on May 10th
I was really upset after my last visit to Sycamore hospital on May 10th. I went in for nerve block injections, but I was never told about the $900 copay for a $35000 injection procedure. Also, I didn't know that I needed someone to drive me home, which is apparently standard for nerve block injections. Luckily, my spouse was able to come with me. The surgeon was not very friendly and only spent about 5 minutes with me. I felt like I was just a number to them. They didn't seem to care about my comfort or pain, even though I told them about it. I might have to take action if they can't help me manage my condition soon.
My dad had surgery at Kettering and we got there at 5am
My dad had surgery at Kettering and we got there at 5am. His surgery started at 7am and they said he was in recovery at 11am. They said we could see him an hour or two later, but we waited 4 hours. We asked 3 times and they finally said he was waiting for a room. He still doesn't have one 5 hours later. I asked why and they said it was being given to others from the ER. They finally let us see him in post-op and he said it was too loud and uncomfortable. He was thirsty and couldn't take his mask off. I'm really disappointed and won't recommend this place.
I go to Kettering Health in Springfield on Middle Urbana Rd
I go to Kettering Health in Springfield on Middle Urbana Rd. to see my family doctor, who I really like. But I had a bad experience with whoever is in charge of telling patients when their appointments are cancelled. I checked MyChart for the time and date of my yearly physical, which was supposed to be on October 17th at 10:15 am. When I got to the office, they told me that they had tried to let me know in August that my doctor no longer worked on Mondays and they needed to cancel, but my phone messages were full. Two months went by and I checked MyChart the week before and no one updated it or tried to call me, email me, send a letter, or even send a message on MyChart. Maybe reception thinks they don't have to go the extra step to make sure a patient doesn't waste their time when they cancel. It would have been common courtesy to make sure I was notified, even though my phone messages were full. There are many other ways to communicate these days, like a simple text to my phone, which they had called. But I guess they didn't care about me wasting my day off for an appointment that they cancelled. It was very disappointing.
I wanna talk about KHN's billing stuff, not their medical care or staff
I wanna talk about KHN's billing stuff, not their medical care or staff. I went to the ER on 5/23 cuz a dog bit me. A doc saw me for like 5 mins and then an LPN took over. They did an Xray, cleaned my wounds, gave me a stitch, and some rabies stuff. Then I got a bill for over $17,000! My insurance paid most of it, but I still gotta pay over $2,000. I checked my EOB and saw that KHN charged me for a level 3 emergency room surgery, not just a wound closure. They also charged me too much for the rabies stuff. I called their billing people and they said they'd review it, but I gotta call back to check on it. I asked to do everything in writing, but they won't do it. They wanna talk on the phone, but I don't wanna do that. I asked for 2 audits cuz I know they used the wrong codes and charged me and my insurance too much. I'm gonna tell my insurance company and the Ohio Attorney General.
I was in the hospital a lot in 2015 at different KHN hospitals because I was really sick
I was in the hospital a lot in 2015 at different KHN hospitals because I was really sick. The doctors told my sister three times that I might die, but I didn't. When I got home, I got bills for a lot of money that I couldn't pay all at once because I don't make much money. I called a lot of times to try to make a payment plan, but it took a long time to find someone who could help me. Finally, someone told me about a form I should have filled out before I left the hospital that would have made it so I didn't have to pay for some of the things my insurance didn't cover. I didn't know about that form, but they helped me make a payment plan I could afford.
In December , I got a bill for $50 more than my payment plan amount. I called and a man named Nick told me I had to pay the full amount or it would hurt my credit. I sent a letter and a check to the head of the billing department, but I never heard back. Then I got another bill in February with the extra $50 on it again. I called and talked to a woman named Brittany who said I should write two checks in the future, but she took the extra amount off my bill. I got my March bill and the extra $50 was still there! I can't find a phone number for the head of the billing department or the executive offices. I always pay on time and see my doctors, but the billing people don't seem to know what they're doing or they don't care. I don't know what to do except find the Administrative offices and talk to the person in charge of billing.

Rude er nurse threatened my life at the miamisburg location
During the last weekend of October this year, an ER nurse at the Miamisburg location verbally abused me and made threats to my life. Their coworkers/friends that were around when it happened stood by and watched while this nurse abused me, then lied in their statements claiming that this nurse did nothing that I said she did in my report. HR has allowed my abuser to keep their job, and has brushed this workplace violence incident under the rug. I am now fearful of what this nurse will do next, not to mention Kettering Health allowing this type of person to work for their company. It’s deeply concerning. Stay away from this place for your own safety
Claimed loss: My safety along with patient safety
Desired outcome: To feel safe at work again
Nurse showed favoritism towards other patients and myself
I went to the hospital on 9/14
I went to the hospital on 9/14. They didn't tell me I was being watched! This made my insurance not pay some of the bills. It's not fair that I have to pay more because they said I was an outpatient instead of an inpatient. They said I was admitted, so the bills should be inpatient, not outpatient. This is a scam!
I got two insurance companies
I got two insurance companies. Kettering ain't billed my second insurance, so I got bills that's still pending. I called a bunch of times to try and fix it, but no luck. I'm even down to pay the co-pays and send a claim to the second insurance myself, like I did with other bills. If they let me do that, the bill would be done and I'd already have my money back. It's crazy that I'm trying to pay and do the work myself, but I still got these bills stressing me out. Just bill me already!

I got a bill for $257 on 22 Jan 21 for my medical thingy at Kettering Health
I got a bill for $257 on 22 Jan 21 for my medical thingy at Kettering Health. But then, on 15 Feb 21, just 2 days before my procedure, they said I had to pay $834 instead. The billing peeps said it might go up a bit, but not too much. So, I said okay and went ahead with it. I don't have any papers for this, just phone calls. But then, in Nov 21, I got a bill for $1441.58! That's almost double what they said 2 days before my procedure and 5 times more than the first estimate. I know it's just an "estimate," but billing me double is not cool. It's like they tricked me or something. I want Kettering Medical to fix this and make it more like what they told me in the first place.
Got a bill from Kettering Health for services from 2018 in July
Got a bill from Kettering Health for services from 2018 in July . Had surgery in Dec 2018 and they started sending bills and emails in July . I contacted them in July and they told me it was denied and took their team this long to get payment from insurance companies. I contacted insurance companies that I no longer have because I left employment in April . Insurance companies gave me EOB's that both companies paid in Feb 2019. I paid all my bills before leaving my former employer and then this company bills me over 18 months later. They sent me emails, invoices, and told me that if I did not pay in 4 months that they would send to collect. They are making it so that their delayed billing is my urgency. Their billing personnel lie that my insurance companies had sent them a denial which caused them to bill years later. They say that they have up to 3 years to send these bills. What can I do to stop them from sending me these invoices that I have no resolution because I am not working and these would have been paid promptly if they were submitted in a timely manner while I was working?
I've been here since a little after 6pm and haven't been seen yet I am 68yrs old fell twice and hit my head am in pain my head neck and tail bone I take various medications as well as wayfarin and they are acting like it's not serious don't want to get a blood clot or internal bleeding. So if they don't call me in soon I will go to mvh.
I Got at the ER on the main campus Kettering Hospital after 6pm on Saturday March 8th the one at the front desk was very cold and unfriendly they didn't call me back there until after 8pm Didn't admit me in a room until almost 4am taking to long to clean the room.
The staff was nice and friendly at the kH on South Blvd on the main campus. Very helpful and caring.
