Product in stock - but arriving in 8 months
If you want to know first hand how to get scammed by a company, let me share a quick way to make it happen. Make an "in stock" purchase from KBA. The first email says they will let you know when it ships from their warehouse when ordered June 9,2023, a second one comes back to tell you what their REFUND policy, Refunds are only granted by the manufacturer... by phone... with a multi-digit code number. Third email tells you the item is not in stock as posted, but anticipate the July 2023 order to be shipped March 2024. A phone call to request a refund goes unanswered. Second phone call goes unanswered. Email to say I have called goes unanswered. Then a nastier email to a few people got a phone call from the person who did NOT return my first two calls nor the email. Only to use offensive language in her call (Te-Lar) is her name. First time she said it, I stopped her and said that is NOT my name for you to use. Then she did it again. Well, this sent me over to American Express, where I am able to send them phone records of the two calls, the emails and the order and the oops it wont be coming for half a year, but you wont get your money back. The company does not care...and ROHL the manufacturer...Christine Joannou, must be damn proud to have teamed up with this group of reps to sell their products.
Desired outcome: Buyer beware - read the reviews
Damaged cabinet and crappy customer service
They agreed to send me a check for $150 for a damaged linen cabinet — they confirmed this with my credit card company — only — they never sent the check! Never heard from them again!
Cabinet was delivered 03/03/2020 — have been unsuccessfully dealing with them since then.
On june 20th — they informed my credit card company they were sending me a check for $150 that I had received the touch up kit — (a crayon)
My card company released the funds to them again — I never received the check! I closed my credit card account - since they were no help in getting this cleared up.
Today is september 3rd — no check yet. Can not get anyone to call back or return emails.
Crappy company — crappy customer service!

Rude employees
Absolutely appalling customer service. Wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.
If I could I would ask their management if anyone controls the staff at all?
Because the way they speak and how they help (they don't) leaves much to be desired. At least, these people have to be fired, at worst, they should never work with customers not to ruin the reputation of a company.
KBAuthority representative named Mike was rude to me when I asked him a question. He sounded like I asked something very stupid and like he was surprised I didn't know what to do because it was so obvious. Then I asked the second question and he said that he would like to pay attention to customers who need a real help and that I was only taking up his time.
And then he hung up. It brought me to tears. I am 63 years old and I am not ashamed if I don't know something, maybe I don't keep up with technologies, but it doesn't mean I am dumb. So this kind of treatments is pathetic.
“They are CROOKS. LIE and CHEAT- Do Not Order with them. You'll REGRET it!”

Simply they are CROOKS! 42 days of nightmare and still not over! Ordered shower doors May 17. Called dozen times to KB Authority to rectify and half a dozen times to UPS to track the package. It's been 42 days and still have not received my product. When you TRY to CANCEL, they'll give you the RUNAROUND, saying it takes 48h hrs to confirm cancellation. Which gives them more time to devise a SCHEME. Well it's been like 96 hrs and still NO confirmation to cancel my order, but yet, they took MY money ($1000) 42 days ago! They will be nice to you, but not help you in any way, using DELAY tactics and WILL KEEP YOUR MONEY! And they will send you this stupid annoying emails everyday saying "your package is on its way...hold it to your ear and you'll hear the gentle roar of our staff cheering its arrival." What a crock of LIES!
One post said it right: "They may do some legitimate retail business, but their operation includes a deliberate practice of accepting orders & payments for products they ultimately won't ever fulfill, then illegally holding onto the revenue."
Visa needs to stop providing services for them. I placed an order for an in-stock item for over $500. First, I received an email confirmation with no info on how or when the item would ship. So when I emailed them to ask, THEN they say the item is in fact NOT in stock - and give me a two week lead time. I hang in there, but hear nothing. So I ask again. "It's coming in next week, " then it will ship, they say. Over a week goes by, and nothing. I ask another time. They respond it will be ANOTHER 3 weeks since the "item is on back-order."
Over three weeks since they charged by card, and no item anywhere in sight? No way. I request to cancel the order via a phone call, they agree to cancel. A few hours go by, and I see no email to confirm cancellation. So I email them, and get a verbal "sure, will cancel" one-line response from a rep.
A week later, no refund yet. I email them again to ask for refund status. Then they send me back a form letter to "notify" me that my order has been canceled. Duh, I'm the one who canceled it over a week ago. So I email back, advising them that I am already aware that the order is canceled, and reiterated as clearly as possible that I wanted to know the status of the REFUND back to my credit card. From there to now, 3 weeks later, they have not responded.
I've filed for not only a charge reversal with Visa from my bank, but also have requested a fraud / abuse investigation for their charging customers through Visa for items they don't actually have, and for illegally holding on to the fraudulently obtained revenue (for as long as they can). You can find tons of similar stories on other consumer websites, just google KB Authority .com and "scam" to read them.
They may do some legitimate retail business, but their operation includes a deliberate practice of accepting orders & payments for products they ultimately won't ever fulfill, then illegally holding onto the revenue. Visa needs to protect consumers from fraud that's not only from hackers, but also from vendors who abuse clients under their transaction agreement. KBauthority is a blatant example of that.
I placed an order on the KB Authority website for a product and paid for it. They sent me a notice that it would be shipped. Two weeks later I receive a cancel notice for my order. I am speculating that KB Authority canceled my order because the manufacturer could not supply it, I am not sure because I never received any apologies or reason from KB Authority. What made me upset is that they never refunded my payment. I checked my credit card statement and I discovered I did not receive a refund. Had I not caught this, they would have kept my money! I called KB Authority and they just said they forgot to refund it. Sooooooooo you forget to refund a customer and there is no penalty for "forgetting to refund"? How many other people are they doing this to and keeping their money? Run from this company, a shady operation.
Purchased one faucet, charged on my credit card 3 times, received 1 credit after filing a dispute with my credit card company, now they are fighting th esecond and asking to charge my card again. I have gone over this numerous times and even the records that they have supplied prove that they were over paid. Yet they still want more. Crooks!
