complaint against travelopod agent
Hi All
I booked 2 tickets in Kuwait airways to India on Sept 16th as an emergency. Ticket price was very huge and beyond my reach i booked the ticket for $2700 for one way to cochin from JFK. But to my surprise i saw the agent fee for a ticket was $799 . This is really shocking as my credit card was charged 2 times for $541 against Kuwait Airways, Agent fee $798 on Sept 15 and another $798 on the same day. So almost $1600 as agent fee and $1080 for 2 tickets with Kuwait airways.
I want to ask Kuwait Airways how come you have charged only $541 for a ticket and then they have charged $798 for a ticket. So i paid $1600 as agent fee and $1040 for 2 tickets i purchased through TravelOPod. I could have booked via someother agents. Since my friends suggested i went with this. But even my friends who suggested me got absolutely shocked and they did not have any clue about it. I was really disappointed with TravelOPod and Kuwait airways because you guys have just sucked my money using my emergency situation.
Do you think i will fly with Kuwait airways again ? Or will i suggest to my friends ? Really disappointing and its all hard earned money which is been sucked by people like you using our situations. Feeling very sad :(

My husband travelled from Trivandrum International Airport to Kuwait on 31/10/2017. The food served in flight was pathetic. He was suffering from stomach pain and vomiting after having it. Due to food poisoning he's suffering badly. Please take necessary action and try to serve us better. We expect min standard of service for the money we pay.

Yesterday kn the 22th of october I checked in Dubai at the Kuweit counter to Kuweit Because our flight with kuweit airways. From there we had to go to Doha with Qatar airways with Amsterdam as final destination.
At the counter in Dubai we asked the miss at the counter and another miss from the philippines about bagage allowance.
She was I think the one who leads the girls there at the counter. But she didn't wore the uniform of Kuweit airlines. She wore something in the colour salmon or something.
This because in our information was written that there is a bagage allowance of 30 kilo with Qatar airways.
This 2 girls told us that we are aloud to have 46 kilo each person.
I asked again that there is written that we have Only permition of 30 kilo from Qatar airways.
Both told us that there is a agreement between Qatar and kuweit airlines that there will it is aloud to have 46 kilo each person.
They told us that we could also check in our 3 handbagages.
So we checked 3 suitcases and 3 handbagages in. We were with three So we had 124 kilo together.
In Kuweit the Qatar airways counter told me that Only 90 kilo is aloud, that I have to pay for the 34 kilo.
So I have a very big problem now.
I have to pay the 34 kilo Which is some 1500 dollar or Qatar airways will not send my bagages to Amsterdam.
They keep there 2 bagages.
They told us that kuweit airways gave us wrong information.
Now I want to solve this problem with you Because the girls at the counter gave us the wrong information.
I went also to the kuweit counter at kuweit But they told me that they couldn't do anything, They don't have anything to do with that. That happens many times.
I couldn't stay and discuss there for a long time, otherwise I Would miss my flight to Doha.
So I went back to the counter of Qatar airways and They told me that They will keep 2 bagages in Kuweit till I paid the amount.
First thing is that the People at the counter gave me the wrong information and caused a bigger problem because if I knew about this Then inwould remove all juices and other things and left that at the AirPort.
That was Just a lil gift for family.
I Would never bring 34 kilo extra excess bagage Because i don't have the money to pay it.
In the suitcases I had expensive evening dresses from my daughter and myself which we bought in Dubai and mark clothes of my Son.
And another thing is that at Qatar airways there is a handbagage allowance of 7 kilo each(21 kilo, for 3 persons).
I Just want you to solve this and pay me the extra that I have to pay for this.
Because this is Because of wrong information from your site.
Otherwise I will post this on Facebook, twitter and Tell about What happened because the Only thing is that I want to solve this problem that your company Caused me and my kids.

I am a usa citizen living in california, i have traveled to abu dhabi last days to finish my dad us green card process, my dad came from iran and we joined there. I left my dad last friday and back to usa, dad stayed more days in abu dhabi to end the process . I bought a ticket from cheapoair from kuwait airlines for dad back to tehran via kuwait airport. Before booking the ticket i called kuwait airport and confirmed with them, they told me my dad does not need visa because only he is passing airport as transit, even i checked you kuwait airways site, it mentioned in this case no need visa, so i bought the ticket for my dad and i left him. He is 73 and no eniglish and no arabic . Yesterday he want to airport your cruel staff did not let him to enter airplane because they told he needs visa for passing airport as passenger. My poor dad even not underestanding them well. They left my dad in airport wondering . Even not giving back his money of the ticket. He borrowed some money from friends and he used all to buy the other ticket from al etehad. Now this my complain, in this case you made mistake not from passenger site, even i gave a copy from your net site to my dad, showing no need visa for transit passenger, passing kuwait airport. I would like to register this complaint about your staff Reeta Antony in Cochin, Ravipuram office(Kerala). My son had ticket (Kuwait Airways)from Mumbai to Kuwait and we went to the Cochin office and requested Reeta Antony (Front office staff) to extend the ticket from Cochin to Kuwait instead of Mumbai to Kuwait. After checking the ticket she told us this ticket cannot be changed in India other than the ticket issued by the agency. But we did not understand by what basis she told us that the ticket cannot be changed because we know that this can be do it in any of the Kuwait Airways offices and many people have changed and travelled without any problems. Immediately we called Trivandrum office and enquired about this and they told us that they can do it. Again I enquired with the Trivadurm office, is there any restriction for them to do this ? They told us that there is no restrictions and this can be done in any Kuwait Airways offices. Again we approached Reeta Antony and we told her that we have checked this matter with the Trivandrum office and they told us this can be done in Cochin office also. But her reply was little rough and without checking with any higher authorities she told us if you want you can check with Trivandrum office and we cannot. We understand this refusal from her side is due to her lack of knowledge in this field( how to calculate the difference ) we suggest you to check her qualification and experience and if necessary sent her for proper training. When she refuse this matter, which she can do, she does not understand the trouble of a customer going here and there. It was not very easy to go from Cochin to Trivandurm (more than 300 kilometers) Since it was not possible to reach the Trivandrum office on the same day before their office time, second day we went to Trivadrum office we were wondering the approach of the staffs between Cochin and Trivandurm.The Trivandrum office behaved in a very decent way with us and they change the ticket according to our requirement and we paid extra charges to them and they issued the ticket and wished us a happy journey. Our rating for Trivandrum office is 100/100 and Cochi 0/100 this is due to Reeta Antony. If she is not having much of a knowledge in this field, please ask her to check with a knowledgable person how to do it, instead of troubling the customers.
We hope, you will see this matter seriously and necessary action will be taken.

I flew with Kuwait Airways on 4th September 2017. The flight was delayed, which affected my arrival time and work the following day. Also, customer service in the flight disappointed me. I pressed the call button to request for water several times, but no one showed up at all, which made me very uncomfortable. Also, I requested for a blanket when a hostess passed by; however, I was told that there may not be any blankets left! I was very surprised to hear this as there should be enough blankets available to all passengers. The air hostess informed me that she will check and let me know if there are any blankets; nevertheless, she never returned back to me. I could not sleep and was feeling extremely uncomfortable and distressed due to this. I then asked another hostess and she kindly provided me with a blanket. This was very disappointing as the blankets were available, but the first hostess I spoke to did not seem to be doing her job. I also asked this same hostess for water, but she never got it for me. As I did not receive water, I had to go myself to the kitchen and ask again for it. This should not be happening to any customer, as we paid for the service, which I clearly did not get.
I also lost my ring in the bathroom and asked one of the staff members if they have seen a ring. I was told "I will ask the other staff members and get back to you". However, no one got back to me again! This is very disappointing as I expected good customer service from Kuwait airways, as friends informed me that the service you offer is great. I ensured that I book my flight through Kuwait airways due to the good recommendation; nonetheless, I was very disappointed at the customer service I received and the unprofessional treatment of staff members, which left me feeling distressed and very uncomfortable throughout my journey. I kindly request for a compensation as a result of all the above and the feelings it left behind.

Dear Kuwait Airlines,
This is to bring to your notice that your Flights flying from Bangalore(BLR) Karnataka INDIA, don’t have the regional languages movies that are KANNADA in the entertainment box.
If you don’t include the Kannada movies for the flight flying from Bangalore airport (BLR) we don’t choose your flight to fly from next time even my family and friends.
You should check with Emirates and Etihad airlines, they have many Kannada movies and they have food menu in Kannada.
This is a disservice to the local customers and despite doing business in Karnataka, you are ignoring the local language and also included other language movies except for KANNADA.
Could you let us know when this would be updated?

My husband- SREEKANTH GOPALAKRISHNAN NAIR had travelled from DUBAI to DOHA via KUWAIT on 15/09/2017- Friday and on arrival, he was told that the baggage was not transferred during transit.

flight delayed for 3 hours from kuwait to london heathrow.
From Kuwait Airlines we were supposed to leave at 9:45 but we left at 12:50 going to London Heathrow. It was so tiring waiting in Kuwait airlines was so noisy, babies/kids were crying. I was with my husband and 3 kids, we were standing while waiting for the first an hour no chairs to sit because they were all occupied.
Then when we arrived here in London Heathrow it took us a while to claim our 5 luggages. First we got the 1st luggage while waiting for the other luggages which took an hour, the staff told us to complain, so instead of complaining we waited for another an hour again because we were so tired.
The taxi that were supposed to pick us up didn't wait for us because we didn't arrive on time and they were scheduled to pick someone else so we had to call another taxi which charge us more £100.
I would like to file a complain and to get a compensation for myself, my husband and my 3 kids. It was our first time to be in Kuwait Airlines and we did not have a good experience.

We have booked ticket to Mumbai and i would like to reschedule it. When we went to kuwait airways office in city which closes by 4 we reach at 3.30 n they said that u need to come by 1.30 in ordr to get token or else they said go to airport office. We went to airport office but they said they only reschedule whn its really urgnt. Its really pathetic service of Kuwait Airways, being such a big airline you dont have a dedicated service to reschedule ticket.

On August 28 I flew out of Kennedy Airport on KU118 changing in Kuwait on KU 345. When I finally opened my bags in Ahmedabad, India there was a TSA flyer in the bag and my expensive Swiss Army knife was missing. No one informed me of this. Upon inspection later in the week I saw that the TSA locks were crudely picked and the locks broken. I can no longer use the locks. I bought the hard shell suitcase a few days before I left NYC. You have ruined my baggage. The flights were both late and the staff rude to everyone. You need to pay for my ruined baggage.

Hi All,
This is to inform you that I am formally lodging a complaint against the airline (Kuwait Airways) for not handling the baggage properly and not delivering it to my hotel in Vienna. It has been more that a week and no one from Kuwait airways has replied back.
I took the flight KU 302 from Mum to Kuwait on 13th Aug and was supposed to take the connecting flight from Kuwait to Vienna (KU 177). However due to late departure of the airline we missed our connecting flight. One point I would like to highlight here is that one of the male staff (bearded - didnt take his name) assured us that the Kuwait to Vienna flight was being delayed, hence we should be able to catch it. But this was not the case and the man just lied to us. I was traveling with my wife (Antara Chatterjee) and Father in law (Bratish Chattopadhyay - 70 years)
After reaching Kuwait, we were asked to wait by the lady at the transfer desk for getting a confirmation of the next flight. After a lot of back and forth we were given the boarding tickets for Kuwait to London (Kuwait airways) and the London to Vienna (BA). What should have been 11 hr flight for us became a 24hr journey for us. We reached Vienna at around 10:30pm however our luggage (3 pieces) did not. The lost and found at the Vienna airport was unhelpful and just registered a case for us. We went to the hotel and checked in. The next morning I started calling all the number which were given to me.
1. Kuwait airways said that the issue and complaint was raised with British airways hence I should be following up with them
2. BA said they had nothing to do with it and Kuwait airways needed to follow up
3. The lost and found at the airport in Vienna had not understanding of how to manage the process. These people are the most useless lot on the planet.
I then got hold of Ms Lobo, from Kuwait airways who helped to locate the luggage and ensure that its put on the next flight to Vienna. The luggage was left in Kuwait as the incompetent person who was printing our boarding pass and luggage tags changed the name and therefore the confusion. So 14th Aug was wasted try to locate the luggage. On 15th Aug I had a trip to Halstatt, however could not go for the trip as I had no change of clothes, luggage, toiletries etc. I was informed around afternoon that the luggage was there at the airport however neither Kuwait airways nor British airways was ready to drop it at my doorstep. This was informed to me by the lady at the lost and found counter. That team has still not sent me the email stating that as per our telephonic conversation the airlines had refused to deliver the bags (What else could I expect from incompetent people, hence I have recorded the call and will use it as evidence in the consumer court). Eventually I had to cancel all my plans for the day and make a trip to the airport which costed me more.
So, my vacation which was supposed to start on 13th Aug 2pm did not start until the 15th of Aug. Does your airline understand the stress you cause when you dont take the responsibility of handling the issue. You have caused a lot of problem from me as well as my family, especially my father in law. Please find below the cost incurred and the cancellations which I had to do. I would want a full reimbursement of the money which I have wasted and also for the inconvenience you have caused to us.
1. 13th Aug - 100 Euros Cancellation of Site seeing and Passes
2. 14th Aug - 85 Euros - Clothes
40 Euros - Phone calls to Kuwait airways, BA and all other helplines
129 Euros - Cancellation of train ticket to Hallstatt
100 Euros Cancellation of Site seeing and Passes
3. 15th Aug - 95 Euros - Taxi to and from Airport
100 Euros Cancellation of Site seeing and Passes
The total here is 659 Euros. In addition to this, there will be distress damages which will be added when we file the legal complaint against your airline.

re: very delayed flight
Flight KU101 from Kuwait to London on Aug 24, 2017.
A very tiring and frustrating flight for my whole family as we were ought to fly to London after 7 hours waiting in the airport for the connecting flight but it turned out to be 11 hours wait. My kids were so weary, tired and hungry.
Additional expenses for the food as I have to feed them while waiting. The airline gave us a slice of sweet bread, a roll, a juice drink for each of us upon arrival in the waiting area, and we were thankful about it, this was like 2:30 AM as we waited for the transit to come at 9:45 AM. The transfer did not happen on time rather we were boarded very late and finally flown 13:30 PM.Nobody updates the passengers what was happening and nobody seems to know anything what was going on during that day.
We have to stand for at least two hours for the security checks, as nobody leads the passengers, line was so dis organised that is why people crowded in the gate and seems to be forever and did not think I can make it as prolong standing gave me sciatica with the heavy hand luggage.
Opposite the security queue was the smoking area which is being used with the doors open. Despite request of closing nobody seems to care about what the smoke can give to the little children waiting alongside and to everyone. My daughter had a cough and was aggravated by the smoke she inhaled by waiting and did not help her at all.
This was the most appalling experience we had as a family within the 15 years of travelling.
I was expecting a better service, did not expect that the security guards there are very rude and unapproachable.
I hope staffs would be trained of costumer service skills and communication skills. Also how to deal with frustrated passengers to at least make the journey a bit lighter as it can be.
Suggestion of regular updates should be made so people waiting are aware of what is going on and not left without any idea and not even an apology from the airline.

We sincerely apologize inconvenience caused to you. We strive our best at Travelopod to ensure that our customers enjoy a great deal of service and trust from us.
We have investigated your case and our findings are as below -
You had called us on 15, Sep to book a ticket for 17, Sep departure with Kuwait Airlines. Later on, you had called us and requested us to change your date of departure to a day earlier to 16, Sep, date change was done as per your request without any additional charge to you. Due to last minute travel, there were very few seats available and after extensive research, our representative offered you a fare of $1350 per person and explained to you that as your travel was last minute, and as there last few seats available so the fare was a bit higher than normal. You agreed upon the fare and sent us approval over the email as that was the best fare that was available at the time of booking.
At the same time, you were advised verbally and same was mentioned in our confirmation email that your fare being promotional fare, you might be charged in two different transactions however your total fare would not exceed $1350 per as promised, you had agreed upon same. If you still think that there is an overcharge on your credit card apart from $1350 per person, Please feel free to contact us at our 24/7 customer service. We hope this resolves the matter.
