Lessons on Negotiation: My Experience with LeafFilter Gutter Protection
When I contacted LeafFilter Gutter Protection for a quote on a small job, I was shocked to receive an initial price of over $2,100 for the 25-foot run and two downspouts. After some negotiation, the representative offered a price of $352, but I couldn't help but wonder why they had given such a high initial quote. The representative seemed ready to sign me up for either price, but I sent him away to think it over. After cooling down and deciding to accept the lower offer, I tried calling him multiple times without any response. I eventually gave up and decided to take my business elsewhere.
I highly recommend being cautious when working with LeafFilter Gutter Protection. Although they may seem friendly and professional, their initial pricing tactics left me feeling uneasy. If you do choose to work with them, be sure to negotiate and don't accept their first offer. As for me, I plan on taking my business to a home improvement store where I can likely purchase the necessary materials for a little over $100.
LeafFilter Gutter Protection: A Ripoff Scam!
Recently, my neighbor and I decided to give LeafFilter Gutter Protection a try. We were visited by a salesperson who gave us a thorough explanation of the service and the benefits it would provide for our homes. We were informed that all gutters would be cleaned, wiped, re-caulked and all leaders would be cleaned to perfection, with the work being completed by Company personnel. However, the price quoted for the service was quite steep, at $2500. This equated to $50 per foot. I was immediately put off by the high price and declined the offer. However, my neighbor decided to go ahead with it.
The next day, an old van with an "Electric Company name with telephone number covered by blue painters tape arrived. There was just one person, who spoke little English and was not an employee of LeafFilter Gutter Protection. In fact, it is possible that he was not even a legal citizen. As one man, he worked on both the ladder and roof simultaneously, which brought up some serious concerns for safety. Within an hour, his installation was complete. He did not clean the gutters properly, just removed large debris. The gutters were not wiped clean, nothing was re-caulked and the down leaders were not cleaned. To make matters worse, one of the leaders had an "S" installed backwards, which was pointed out to the salesperson. Instead of fixing the issue with a new part, he simply removed the "S", crimped it and reinstalled it. There was no attempt to rectify the mess created by the white paint inside the leader that was now outside, with no paint on it. It left a band of unsightly brown, as seen in the picture provided. The leader straps were all loose and never repaired. The salesperson had guaranteed that everything would be repaired and perfect, but it ended up being a complete ripoff. We paid $2500 for a service that should have only cost $700. We were extremely disappointed in the work done by LeafFilter Gutter Protection and felt cheated by the service we received.
In conclusion, if you are considering using LeafFilter Gutter Protection, I urge you to beware. Based on our personal experience, I have lost all faith in the company. The work done was subpar and did not meet the expectations that were set by the salesperson. It's disappointing that the company charges such exorbitant prices for mediocre workmanship. LeafFilter Gutter Protection, you should be ashamed of yourselves!
Shady Practices: A Customer's Terrible Experience with LeafFilter Gutter Protection
LeafFilter Gutter Protection is a company that sells and installs micro mesh filters for gutters. However, one customer had a terrible experience with them and felt like they were taken advantage of. The customer claims that the salesman used a high-pressure sales pitch and lied about the effectiveness of the product. They also felt like they were mistreated by the company after installation and refused to pay for the product. Despite being offered the option to return the filters, the customer was unwilling to pay the cancellation fee.
What's worse is that the customer believes that the company used underhanded tactics to make them sign the contract. They claim that their cool down rights were hidden and that the contract was filled in later without their knowledge. This is a shady practice that would be unacceptable in any industry.
The customer is understandably angry about their experience with LeafFilter Gutter Protection. They feel like they were robbed of their hard-earned money and are worried that other people may be experiencing the same thing. While it's important to remember that this is just one person's experience, it's worth considering whether or not this company is trustworthy based on their actions. If you're looking to purchase gutter protection, be sure to do your research and choose a company that values honesty and transparency.
Terrible Customer Service and Difficulty Cancelling Contract - Our Experience with LeafFilter Gutter Protection
We recently had a less-than-pleasant experience with LeafFilter Gutter Protection and wanted to share our thoughts. We initially entered into a contract back in January for gutters to be installed in April. While our salesman was polite, we found him to be quite pushy and insistent that we needed to sign right then and there in order to secure the pricing. We made it clear that we were also paying for a new roof and only wanted an estimate - but after some bargaining with my husband, we eventually signed the contract.
Unfortunately, we then had a death in the family and needed to allocate our funds elsewhere. We reached out to LeafFilter to cancel the contract, but weeks went by and we received no documentation on how to do so or where to send the 25% restocking fee. This whole process was incredibly frustrating and we had a difficult time getting any sort of response from the company.
Fast forward to last week, when my husband finally heard from someone who offered to do the job for $3k cheaper if we signed by the end of the month. We made it clear that we still needed to cancel and haven't heard back since. It shouldn't be this difficult to cancel a contract and pay the restocking fee, and we're disappointed in the customer service we've received.
While we did receive an automated response from LeafFilter, we've tried emailing, texting, and calling the support number without success. We just want to do the right thing and pay the 25% we owe, but LeafFilter is making it almost impossible. It's almost as though they're hoping we'll get frustrated enough to just give in and let them install the gutters. But after this experience, we're glad we had to cancel - this level of customer service is completely unacceptable. We responded to a private message from LeafFilter and are hoping for a resolution soon. In the meantime, we'll be focusing on supporting our family members who need us. Thank you.
Mixed Bag: My Experience with LeafFilter Gutter Protection & Customer Service
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing LeafFilter Gutter Protection, available at leaffilter.com, and while my initial thoughts were positive, I have since had a few issues that I would like to share.
When I received my quote for gutter and guard installation, I noticed that LeafFilter was more expensive than others in the Portland, ME area. However, I ultimately decided to go with them because of their brand recognition and lifetime warranty.
After a short while, I noticed that debris was not shedding off my gutters as advertised. Instead, it was all resting on top of the gutter guards. Naturally, I called for service, and was impressed with the speed and level of customer service provided by LeafFilter. The technician who came to help was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. During his visit, he not only cleaned my entire gutter system, but also made note of some pitch and installation issues that were causing standing water and warping on the guards.
When I followed up about getting those issues corrected, I waited a long time to hear back and was ultimately told by LeafFilter that they considered the ticket closed, despite no additional actions being taken. I was dismayed by this lack of follow-through. I then tried to schedule a follow-up appointment, only to be stood up by the technician, which was incredibly frustrating.
While I still believe that LeafFilter is a solid product with a great warranty, I cannot recommend them without also sharing the struggles that I had with their customer service. Ultimately, I believe that this was too much money to spend on a job that was not fully completed to my satisfaction.
Failed to Protect: My Disappointing Experience with LeafFilter Gutter Protection
I recently had LeafFilter Gutter Protection installed in August 2022. My experience with this product has been anything but satisfactory. The problem began in January 2023 when it snowed, and I noticed snow accumulating on top of the filter and water dripping over the gutter's edge all around the building as the snow melted. To my surprise, the water didn't go into the gutter but over it, which caused the water to drip all around my house and onto my steps, creating a hazardous condition.
This unpleasant experience happens every time it snows, and it makes me doubt the effectiveness of LeafFilter. My initial excitement about its ability to keep leaves out faded away when I realized that it could not withstand the snow. I feel thoroughly dissatisfied and disappointed with this product.
Although I have only had the product for eight months, I have not experienced all the seasons yet. However, it's worth noting that LeafFilter is not suitable for areas that get snow. I have filed a complaint with the company, asking that my LeafFilter be removed and my money refunded.
LeafFilter sent various technicians to inspect the LeafFilter gutter installation, but they concluded that the gutter's pitch was making it difficult for the product to work effectively. They also mentioned that the problem with the overflow of water was because of the way the ice and snow defrosts and refreezes on my roof. As much as this is a valid point, it confirms that this product does not work on my type of roof.
The installation of the LeafFilter gutter protection made my gutters useless, and I'm thoroughly disappointed with the results. Gutters are supposed to provide protection for my home, including protecting my roof, foundation, basement, landscaping, and preventing me from slipping on ice. However, this is not the case with this product.
Unfortunately, the regional manager has refused to refund my money or remove the leaf filter guards because they claim that the installation is correct, and that I've had this product since August 2022. This is absolutely absurd, considering the product's inability to do what it was designed to do.
In conclusion, I would advise anyone not to buy LeafFilter Gutter Protection. Salesmen are pushy, and their prices are ridiculously high. You could get a better deal elsewhere, so take the time to shop around and read reviews before making any purchases. Don't make the same mistake I did!
Mixed Feelings: My Experience with LeafFilter Gutter Protection
When I decided to invest in LeafFilter Gutter Protection for my home, I had mixed feelings about the experience. While the salesperson, Alex Elliot, was polite and approachable, I did feel like his approach was a bit like that of a used-car salesman. I wasn't surprised, though, as home improvement products can be quite costly - and I knew from the get-go that I'd have to really negotiate to get a good deal.
Unfortunately, my dealings with Alex were just the start of what would become a frustrating experience with LeafFilter. After I agreed to go ahead with the purchase, I realized that Alex had only given me a 5 percent discount for seniors - whereas the company advertised a 10 percent senior discount nationally. When I contacted him the next day to ask about this, he was resistant at first. It wasn't until I threatened to cancel my order that he finally agreed to provide me with the advertised discount.
The next issue came on the day of installation. I agreed to let LeafFilter install the product a day early, but only if they notified me 15 minutes before arriving at my home. Unfortunately, they showed up without warning and without allowing me time to prepare. I asked the installer to give me a few moments - but communication was difficult, as his English was poor.
The real kicker came when the installers left without warning. They took an hour-long lunch break, but didn't tell me where they were going or when they'd be back. I eventually had to contact the person who had originally contacted me that day and ask where the installers had gone. It was over an hour before the team returned - and when they did, they left sheet metal screws and other debris all over my driveway and back patio.
To make matters worse, I've discovered an issue with the LeafFilter system and snow. When snow builds up on top of the system cap, it doesn't melt into the gutter as it should. Instead, the melting snow flows over the LeafFilter cap and onto my driveway - where it can freeze overnight and create a dangerous sheet of ice. This is a huge safety hazard that never existed before the installation of LeafFilter.
Overall, I have mixed feelings about the LeafFilter Gutter Protection system. While it was installed quickly and efficiently, the experience was marred by poor communication, debris left on my property, and a serious safety hazard that LeafFilter failed to address. If someone were to ask me about my experience with this product, I would definitely bring up these concerns.
Unprofessional and Unethical: My Experience with LeafFilter Gutter Protection Company
I recently had a very disheartening experience with LeafFilter, a gutter protection company that promises to keep your gutters clean and functional. I heard about them through a promotion #289 that included a free quote. On March 6, 2023, they sent a representative to my home to give me an estimate. Initially, the quote was very high, but after voicing my concerns, the representative dropped the price to $4k. However, when I showed him that the price per foot was much lower online, he further reduced the price to $2k. I asked him to provide a written quote using those same figures, but he refused to do so.
Despite promotion #289 stating that a written quote will be provided at the appointment, it did not happen. When I asked for the quote in writing, the representative said they usually email it, but no one had requested my email address. I showed him the promotion, but he claimed that there must have been a mistake. I then asked him to confirm my email address, but he left without doing so. This unprofessional and unethical behavior reflects poorly on the company's integrity, as does the lack of response from the supposed supervisor, Ron Roberts, who did not seem to care about my experience.
I believe that such behavior is unacceptable, and I would not recommend this company to anyone who wants to deal with an honest and ethical business. If you do choose to deal with them, be aware that they may try to take advantage of you and mislead you about the cost of their services. In fact, they may even try to sell you a $4/ per foot product at a $55/ per foot price! I have reported them to the PA Attorney General's office to protect homeowners from such companies.
In response to my review, LeafFilter corporate claims to care about their customers' experience, but my follow-up calls to their 800 number went unanswered, except for Ron, who didn't seem to think my experience was that bad. I believe that if they truly care, they should take action to prevent such behavior from happening again, starting with keeping their promises of providing written quotes. It's paramount for them to demonstrate higher ethical standards, particularly if they want to establish trust with customers. Be aware and stay away!
LeafFilter Gutter Protection Review: Expensive Gutters Drip End to End Despite Warranty and Repairs
Last summer, my family and I decided to replace the 20-25 year old rain gutters on our home due to dripping in two spots on the front porch and driveway. We researched and ultimately chose to purchase the LeafFilter gutter protection system. During the sales pitch, I made sure to point out the problematic dripping to the salesman, who confidently assured me that their product would solve the issue. The system was quite expensive, tallying up to a steep $4,500 for the gutters lining the front and back of our house.
While we were initially excited about the new gutters, after they were installed, I noticed they did not appear to be installed correctly. Upon the arrival of snowfall in late November, the snow slid right onto the gutters, causing a complete and continuous drip from end to end, both in front and back. I contacted the company to explain the issue, making over three calls before someone was able to come and inspect the gutters in question. The inspector confirmed that the gutters should have included wedges to catch water and snow more effectively, and noted that they were not busy at that time, so a repair would happen quickly.
After three more calls, two people arrived to fix the gutters. However, even after hours of work, the back gutter remained unchanged and the front gutter looked twisted and bent. I once again contacted the company with pictures and requested that another repair be made, to which I waited two more weeks and made three more calls before someone finally arrived. He placed a new gutter on the front and installed wedges, only on the front, to change the angle of the gutter. Hopeful that the issue had been resolved, I waited for the next snowfall.
When winter next arrived, the problem persisted. Once again, the gutters dripped from end to end on both sides of my house. As a result, I reached out to the service manager and corporate office for assistance, as the company informed me that this was a warranty issue that they would not provide a refund for. After speaking with the installation manager, I was informed that the gutters were working as intended. The snow would melt and drip onto the gutter filters, freeze overnight, and melt again, resulting in a constant drip. He suggested that heat tape be installed along our front and back roof to prevent this from happening.
Over the 42 years we have lived in our home, we have never experienced any issues with our old gutters aside from one drip on each side. However, our expensive new gutters now drip from end to end, as the salesman had falsely assured us that they would not. While I have spoken to corporate customer service, they refused to provide a refund due to warranty specifications. I requested that the angle of the rear gutter be adjusted and that the filters be removed from both gutters, so that they could at least drain the water away from the front porch and sidewalk rather than dripping on them. However, before they would agree to this, they sent a settlement contract with a clause stating that I would agree not to speak ill of their company, to which I refused to sign.
I regret to say that I cannot recommend LeafFilter Gutter Protection, as they have not provided a solution for the problem we encountered, and are unwilling to refund our money. We paid a large sum of money for gutters that drip, and the warranty is of no use. I advise anyone considering this product to reconsider, and instead, hire someone locally to address their gutter needs.
Mixed Experience with LeafFilter Gutter Protection: Effective Product but Disappointing Service
I recently had an interesting experience with LeafFilter Gutter Protection and I think it's important to share my story. On the whole, I can say that the LeafFilter product is effective at keeping my gutters clear and preventing water damage, which is a relief given the pine tree next to my house that sheds needles everywhere. That being said, I have been really disappointed with the experience of working with this company.
At the beginning of the process, I was impressed with the sales pitch and I thought that everything was going well during the contract negotiations and planning stages. However, as the installation date got closer and communication became more difficult, I started to get nervous.
I had made it very clear to the sales representative that I did not want to be hit with any unexpected expenses during the installation process, especially since I was having the aluminum covered facia & soffits installed as well. I was repeatedly assured that there would be no surprises, but unfortunately that turned out not to be true.
The installation was originally scheduled for November 25th, but after a series of rescheduling and a shift to a two-day installation process, it was finally completed on December 11th. Throughout the entire process, I had serious issues with the installer who was assigned to my project. He seemed to be missing key information from the installation department, and was regularly defensive and uncooperative. There were multiple instances where he tried to add additional costs to the work, or suggested that I needed to make additional repairs or changes to the project. In other cases, he seemed to be trying to stretch the work out to fill more time, which was frustrating and felt like a waste of my resources.
I noticed many issues with his workmanship throughout the installation process, including problems with the gutters themselves, as well as issues with the way that he left the work site (with nails and gutter joints on the ground, for example). He even left a hoodie laying around in my backyard, and seemed to be refusing help or acting in unprofessional ways throughout the whole process.
In the end, the LeafFilter product has been effective and I am glad for that. However, the experience of working with this contractor significantly impacted my satisfaction with the company as a whole, and has made me much more hesitant to recommend them to other people. If you are considering LeafFilter Gutter Protection for yourself, I would definitely recommend going in with your eyes open and being prepared for potential challenges and difficulties along the way.

Buyer Beware: Potential Downsides of LeafFilter Gutter Protection System
It is important to exercise prudence when considering the purchase of the LeafFilter Gutter Protection system from leaffilter.com. While they will most assuredly extol the virtues of their product and confidently assure you of its efficacy and the robustness of its warranty, there are some potential downsides to be aware of.
One such downside is the possibility of their system failing to function properly, which unfortunately can lead to some unpleasant experiences with their customer service. In some cases, there have been reports of sub-optimal responses to customer issues, which have resulted in customers being charged a non-negligible fee for repairs, even if said repairs are due to issues that are solely the responsibility of the company.
There have also been instances where customers have had to deal with missed appointments from repair technicians, only to still be charged a fee when their appointment was eventually rescheduled. Understandably, such experiences can be frustrating and can call into question the value and effectiveness of their product. Therefore, it is essential to do your due diligence and seek out a company with a solid reputation for standing behind their work and satisfying their customers.
If you are interested in checking out the LeafFilter Gutter Protection system, you may be able to see them in person at one of their local fall festivals. However, it is imperative to proceed with caution and ensure that you are making an informed and intelligent decision. Given the potential risks and drawbacks, it may be more prudent in the long run to seek out alternative options that offer greater reliability and satisfaction.
LeafFilter Gutter Protection Review: Warranty Woes & Damage Disappointments
Last year, I had LeafFilter Gutter Protection installed in my home precisely in November 2022. Before the installation, I made sure to inquire about the product's compatibility with my metal roof, specifically snow sliding off. Multiple assurances were given that it would work flawlessly.
However, during the winter, my worst fears were realized when the snow falling off the roof caused severe damage to the gutters. Additionally, ice built up inside the gutters, causing further harm. Though relieved that there was a warranty in place, I promptly contacted LeafFilter in the spring.
Unfortunately, the company only provided to come out and give me an estimate to fix them. I was taken aback; what about the warranty? Disappointingly, the warranty only covers clogging, which is not what I was promised by the sales representative.
Furthermore, I do not want the gutters to be fixed, as I firmly believe that they need to be taken down as they are likely causing damage hanging off the eaves of my house. My disappointment is beyond words. The company is coming to assess the damage in three weeks, and I look forward to writing an update on whether I will get my money refunded and the gutters taken down and away.
In conclusion, while I was initially excited about the LeafFilter Gutter Protection product, I caution potential customers to be wary of the sales pitch and to ensure that the warranty covers all damages that could occur.
Beware of Inconsistent Pricing and Unreliable Communication from LeafFilter Gutter Protection
When it comes to installing leaf guards on your home, you want to ensure that you are selecting a reputable and reliable service provider. Unfortunately, after reaching out to LeafFilter Gutter Protection for an estimate, we experienced a series of frustrating and disappointing interactions that ultimately led us to seek an alternative provider.
Initially, the representative who came out to assess our home and provide an estimate quoted us $2500 for the job, which we found to be quite high. After some negotiation, he lowered the price to $2100 and then again to $1250, which we agreed to. However, things quickly went downhill from there.
We received a text from the company indicating that they had leftover material from a previous job that was the same size and color we needed for our project, but we never heard back from them. After two weeks of trying to get in touch with them, we finally reached someone and got back on the schedule for the following Thursday.
However, the day before the scheduled installation, we received a call from LeafFilter stating that they had given us the wrong price and that it would actually be $100 more. We reluctantly agreed, only to receive another call the next day indicating that they needed to charge us another $100 on top of that. By this point, we were fed up with the changing quotes and lack of follow-through, and we ultimately decided to cancel the job and find someone else.
In conclusion, we were extremely disappointed with our experience with LeafFilter Gutter Protection. We found their pricing to be inconsistent and their communication to be unreliable. We would caution anyone considering this company for their gutter protection needs to proceed with caution.

LeafFilter Gutter Protection Review: Poor Customer Service Leads to Disappointment
When it comes to LeafFilter Gutter Protection, the initial sales and installation process may be a breeze, but don't expect much support moving forward. Unfortunately, the company's lack of responsiveness and limited customer service leaves much to be desired. Upon reaching out to them regarding two separate occasions where water overflowed on a portion of the gutter (albeit the same spot), LeafFilter simply told me to clean it out myself or pay a service charge for them to do so. As someone with a two-story house, this is quite the tall order. Additionally, the company's repeated automated emails do nothing to address my concerns or provide any real solutions. For the significant amount of money I paid for this product, I expected much better customer service and support. It's a shame because I believe the product has potential, but it hasn't proven its worth just yet. In the end, I wouldn't recommend LeafFilter Gutter Protection if you're looking for reliable and effective support.
LeafFilter Gutter Protection Review: Deceiving Sales and Limited Guarantee
After hearing positive reviews and seeing ads for LeafFilter Gutter Protection on TV, I decided to have the product installed on my home. This was due to the constant frustration of pine needles clogging my gutters in the fall and winter months. With LeafFilter's promise of "never climb a ladder again," I was sold.
Fast forward to yesterday, the first heavy rain of the year, and I noticed pine needles had washed onto the covers. However, to my dismay, the needles were stuck and the water ran over them, flowing off the front of the gutters. I called the service department to address the issue, but their response was less than helpful. They notified me that they could come out, but I would be charged $95 due to their guarantee only covering the inside of the gutters.
I was extremely disappointed and felt misinformed by their sales pitch. Upon further research, I discovered that their guarantee does not cover external debris on the covers. While this may be technically true, it was not communicated clearly during the sales process or in the ads I had seen.
Overall, I would not recommend LeafFilter Gutter Protection to others. Their sales techniques seem deceiving, and their guarantee falls short of protecting against outside debris. I suggest spreading the word about their lack of service and transparency to prevent others from being scammed like I was.
Inconsistent customer service from LeafFilter Gutter Protection: A review on clean-up and follow-up after installation
LeafFilter Gutter Protection is a local company known for its quick response and efficient work. However, when it comes to clean up and follow-up, they seem to fall short. Although the sales representative and the 1-844 office personnel were pleasant to deal with, the installer was only interested in finishing the job quickly and not in doing a proper clean up. The cleanup promised did not happen, and debris was left on the concrete stairs and grass. When photos of the poor clean up were provided to the head office, they promised to generate a report and make a follow up phone call, which never occurred.
Fortunately, an individual came to evaluate the installation and spent time adjusting a downspout and installing screws. The report was supposed to be generated, and a follow-up phone call was promised but never occurred. Upon calling the local manager in November for a July job, they stated that the clean-up is not their problem. While the local office stands behind the system, they do not take responsibility for the installer's non-existent clean-up. Customers expect a certain level of after-sale service, but the 1-844 number has shown no follow-through.
As a prospective customer of Leaf Filter Gutter Protection, it is essential to understand that their customer service seems to be hit or miss. Consistency and follow-through are crucial elements in any business's success, and it appears that Leaf Filter Gutter Protection has room for improvement in this area. The report, which was promised, has not yet been provided. While the system may be good, a customer's experience extends beyond just the product itself. Leaf Filter Gutter Protection must improve on their post-sales service for their customers to find complete satisfaction.
Poor follow-through from LeafFilter Gutter Protection left us waiting for months - A Disappointing Experience
When we contacted LeafFilter Gutter Protection, we had a positive first impression. They were prompt in sending a knowledgeable salesman to our home to demonstrate how the system worked. It was comforting to know that financing was an option for us, and we were approved.
However, things took a turn for the worse on the day of installation. We were told they would arrive on July 3rd, but they never showed up. The company called later that evening to explain that their truck broke down and they would be there first thing on July 5th instead. We were understanding of this situation and waited for the installer to arrive.
Unfortunately, the installer noted a major issue with our supplies during the job. They informed us that the salesman must have measured incorrectly, and they didn't have the correct supplies to complete the job as they promised. While they promised to have someone call us about a solution to the issue, no one did for several weeks prompting us to make a call ourselves.
We contacted the company and were told they were still waiting on a call from corporate and the salesman about getting the right supplies. We were promised that they would call us back when they had the resources and were ready to install.
At the time of writing this review, over four months have passed since our initial installation date, and we still have not heard back from the company. We are extremely disappointed by the lack of communication, follow-through, and professionalism demonstrated by LeafFilter Gutter Protection.
LeafFilter Gutter Protection Review: Flawed Product and Unreliable Company
After seeing the ads for LeafFilter Gutter Protection, I was initially curious about how it would prevent leaves and other debris from accumulating on top of the filter. However, upon reading numerous negative reviews from customers, my question was answered - the very problem I had envisioned was indeed occurring. Leaves, pine needles, and other debris were still accumulating on top of the filter, leading to clogs. This effectively nullifies the purpose of the product, as homeowners would still need to climb a ladder and manually clean the filter, which is just as tedious as cleaning the gutter itself.
Apart from the negative reviews, the responses from LeafFilter themselves were also a concern. Many companies are notorious for not owning up to their mistakes, and LeafFilter seemed to be no different. They provided flimsy excuses rather than taking responsibility for the product's flaws, which only served to reinforce my suspicions about their credibility.
Based on these factors, I ultimately decided not to go with LeafFilter Gutter Protection. I am grateful for the reviews from fellow customers, as they helped me make an informed decision about whether or not to trust this product. It's disappointing to see yet another company that makes false promises without delivering on them, but I'm glad that I took the time to do some research and protect myself from a potentially costly mistake.
LeafFilter Review: Misleading Sales Pitch & Ladder Usage - Disappointing Results!
only did LeafFilter not live up to their promise of never needing to use a ladder again, their excuse for why it wasn't necessary was misleading. Roof debris is something that homeowners should take care of, and using a ladder may not always be necessary to do so. In fact, there are alternative techniques that can be just as effective without the need for using a ladder. Purchasing a roof brush on an extendable pole or an extension arm for a leaf blower are just a couple of options available to homeowners and can easily be found in hardware stores or online. It's disappointing that LeafFilter didn't provide accurate information during their sales pitch regarding the use of ladders and should be accountable for misrepresenting their product. Therefore, I would not recommend LeafFilter to anyone in the market for gutter protection.
Disappointing Company Policy Hinders LeafFilter's Potential
When I first began my quest for improved gutter protection, I stumbled upon LeafFilter and was excited to give them a try. However, I must admit that my first impressions were not the best. Initially, it took me a couple of calls to get through to a representative. The first time I tried, a message informed me that there were no operators available to take my call - and this was in the middle of the morning. I found this a bit concerning, but eventually, I was able to speak with someone and request a quote for installation.
The representative asked me when I was available and I responded that mornings were best for me. However, she also asked when my wife was available and was insistent that they only do appointments in the evening and that both owners must be present. This didn't sit right with me as my wife works long hours and has no interest in sitting through a presentation on gutter guards. I was surprised that the rep even bothered to ask me about my availability if they only do quotes in the evening! Additionally, I found it silly that their policy requires speaking with both the husband and wife, even for something as simple as LeafFilters For-The-Gutters. This felt like a major flaw in their company policy.
Despite these frustrations, I had done some research and was pretty set on trying LeafFilters. However, now I found myself considering alternatives due to their unimpressive company policy. I wanted to be sure that my decision to install LeafFilters was the best choice for me. While I eventually did choose LeafFilter and have enjoyed their product, I do wish their customer service was more accommodating.
