sterwins strimmer
I purchased strimmer about 1 year ago. In the summer it broke down and partially seived . I took to the Alborya service desk where they took out spark plug told me I had no oil in fuel and no quarantee. I've been using 2stoke engines for 40+ years I know what is wrong with the strimmer and the cause. I was treated like a second class citizen, accused of putting oil in fuel afterwards an then they called the security. There examination was unsatifactury and badly called. I know machine is still under quarantee. I can fix myself but shouldn't have too.
1. Promised bonus for large purchase made. 2. Failure to respond to my emails regarding this
I agreed to purchase a top of the range kitchen and one of the deciding factors was the amount of bonus I was told I would received. I had a friend with me who confirms that a figure of over 1200 euros was promised. I have received 392.85.
I sent an e-mail to the person who dealt with the sale, but had no response. I have sent three further e-mails but still no response. In my third e-mail I requested that a manager contact me. I have heard nothing.
i know this feeling we were promised a discount after the finestrat store messed our order up we then thought that we did not want to deal with them anymore so refunded the discount offered and went to ondara were we were also promiseda discount ordered air con asked about the discount and it was never received on topof which they to messed up the order and delivered it to the wrong address so we went back for a refund this is a complete waste of my time and money never again will shop here .wehave called an english company arranged within 5 mins to have our air con done for less money and arranged for tomorrow
Bedroom wardrobe
I sent this to you months ago and had no response!
I order a made to measure wardrobe from the shop in the Center Commercial in Roquetas de Mar, Near Almaria, Spain. I gave accurate dimensions on a notated drawing. From this the staff member made a technical drawing from which to manufacture. They asked me to pay up front and said it would be ready in 10 days. That meant I would not be in Spain at that time so they said it would be no problem to store it until I returned. After a month I began to get emails asking me to collect it. Two things here. One, they did not take any notice of the fact that they were to store it until my return and kept sending me emails to collect it. Two, they were asking for money to deliver it which was not mentioned at the time of purchase. I had bought from Leroy Merlin before and there had been no charge for delivery. When I got back to Spain I went strait to the shop and complained about this but got nowhere and paid the 40 € charge. The wardrobe arrived sometime later very late in the day so the fitter I had could not help me fit it. I had little help getting it into my apartment. I struggled by myself but finally got it together. The dressing table top was short in length by the 100 mm that was the dimension of the column nib in the corner of the bedroom which I had marked on the drawing. Worst of all, I had two full size sheets of chip board left over which appeared to be for nowhere. I had paid for these. I when back to the shop and asked why I had got these. I was told that they were make up pieces to cover a small 50 mm gap around the top of the wardrobe. Apart from being totally necessary in the first place, these pieces where about a meter wide. And, if I had cut them down, which would have been ridiculous, one had two edges and could have been used twice. I asked the shop to collect them and reimburse me. They refused and asked me for 8 € to collect them and gave me 90 days to do this. I was leaving Spain the following day so this was impossible. I don't see why I should have to pay to get my money back for something that was sold unnecessarily in the first instance for which I had not knowingly asked for. As a side I wondered why they could collect for 8 € when they had took 40 € to deliver. It was the same journey.
Poor service delivery
One the 18th August my mom and I went to Leroy Merlin to buy some stuff as my mom was renovating our home in the Eastern Cape.
I was impressed with what is being sold and the prices.
We got what we could, but the were 2 lights that were out of stock, we paid for them and were told we would get them within a week.We went to the till to pay, paid for everything, even the out of stock lights, but were told there was an error as one of the lights shows as a cash sale(meaning we had received it), but were assured it was going to be fixed.I believe the lady's name was Nono(might be wrong), she even wrote something on the receipt as reassurance. We indeed received an email on the 23 to say order 16995 has arrived!25 we went to the store, I had to first state my story, was told Nono was not at work on the day, was made to wait for more than an hour only to leave with one light!I was obviously irritated, but was promised to be called asap and since then I have not had a word from the store!
Fully sympathise with your predicament. The company was happy to take our money for goods and delivery but have been no where near us and no contact can be made.
Carpet and installation
I ordered carpet at the beginning of July and had to wait almost a month for delivery and a further 10 days for fitting.
The carpet is faulted in that the pile does not match either by piece or in areas within a piece.
The installer has not done a good job with joins and the placement of the joins within the room. There is a section that has been pieced together with small bits of carpet like a patchwork.
Having paid almost €2000 I am aghast with the quality of the carpet and the professionalism of the fitting.
I have complained to directly to the store in Loulé but have yet to receive a response as to how this problem is to be addressed.

Subject: the non service of leroy merlin
Running a guest house trough airbnb in alicante we decided to buy a very needed air conditioner for the guest room so that we could make our promise from an air condition room trough.
What better then a "venta flash" (flash meaning very fast, no?) sold by leroy merlin.
They were very fast in taking our money and delivering the goods but when it came to their promises of installing this on the 9th of august then... nothing.
By nothing I mean really nothing no phone call no mail nada.
Although we informed the service over and over again that we cannot receive any phone calls were we live because there is no network thus thinking that they should have the brain of informing us by mail, the communication we used to buy & pay.
But nothing even we went to leroy merlin in elche were those people give us a very good helping hand to resolve the problem so atc promised again to come on the 14 th of august but again nothing happened nobody came & what's even worse nobody called or mailed.
So rude; so laking management. so bothereing for us & for teh airbnb community wich we always had to tell that leroy merlin was unable to manage ther business & so rude of not informing us there clients.
So on aug 14 I made a firm complaint to the customer service (see ref 2) and asked € 500, 00 as compensation of our lost business but now we realize that those € 500, 00 is by far not enough to pay for our bad name in the airbnb community that we got trough this unbelievable mismanagement of leroy merlin, normal is not payable by money but only by a firm written excuses by leroy merlin.
And if I can give, as a former manager myself, get rid of the one that made those mismanagements because he or she is harming your good name & he or she is a cancer in your company.
It is in respect to my very hard working wife in the airbnb community that I jozef quintens write this complaint hoping that leroy merlin takes his consequents' in responding positively in writing and managing this middle aged problem.

general delivery and incorrect item...
I've emailed their complaints department 4 or 5 times without any response and I've been to their store the same amount of times and just getting fobbed off...I'd really appreciate it if this can be escalated somewhere higher as I'm completely dissatisfied...I'm still waiting for the correct items...

This order was placed on the 18th April and is STILL ongoing !
I was again promised a phone call this morning an hour before delivery which I hadn't received and I was just going to Leroy Merlin AGAIN to complain, however as I was leaving my house they just turned up at 12-30 as I was walking down my road...
The 3 sun-loungers I ordered were grey and they delivered brown ones instead, although they had grey ones on the delivery van, apparently for another client !...I therefore told them to send them back, so I went back to Leroy Merlin AGAIN and spoke to Ana at the information desk and she's spoken to somebody...
I want a reply to this email TODAY without fail with an explanation of your unsatisfactory service, I also require 3 grey sun-loungers to be delivered NO LATER THAN TUESDAY 7th May and I also demand a full refund of my delivery charge due to your inept incompetence..You can also add 10 x the points of my order onto my card due to the inconvenience I've suffered...

Stealing by reception
I returned 4 products, 2 return tickets attached for your ready reference.
Receptionist Mme Sandrine took the products to return but silently without asking any question or telling me anything she returned my only 171.21 € instead of 206.72 €. As always until then I had strong confidence in Leroy Merlin which strongly got shattered when by chance I thought of checking with the bills of these products and discovered the fraud. After fidelity and all applicable deductions, it should have been 206.72 €.
I returned to the shop (it's pain to go twice from Geneva, Switzerland to Thoiry, France) and Mme Sandrine didn't even bother to apologize at all. She returned me rest of the money saying that she thought that I have claimed detax! This is not the apology or reason of stealing my money. She must have checked her system or at least enquired from me but without any question or my knowledge she stole my money which is not at all acceptable.
BEWARE of thieves at Leroy Merlin !
When I read these reports I find it difficult to believe that they are true.
Now that I have a similar problem I realise that Leroy Merlin have some very serious problem since dealing with matters when they go wrong.
I will be posting a detailed report with copies of everything on social media so everyone can make their own mind up whether to buy from Leroy Merlin.
