I purchased a sofa and rug for Christmas for my son at Living Spaces which was delivered on Jan.12, 2024. My son sent me a picture of both, and I asked where the 4th pillow for the sofa was. He said they only delivered 3. I checked my receipt, and sure enough it included two sets (2 ea. of pillows). I called their number on the receipt, and that is where the shenanigans began. I spoke to Javier, who was nice enough, very scripted, and told me to have my son send pictures showing the pillows on the sofa that he received. Ok, he did that, even though he said the delivery guys had already taken a picture. I mean it is hard to photograph something that you did not receive:) So my son follows up every day for 4 business days asking the status of his query. So today I call again, speaking to 2 different workers who were clueless, and ask for Javier, who was supposed to call me back within an hour at around 10:00 a.m. I check my email at 4:10 and see that he sent a response via email saying he never got the pics. What?! My son had been sending him emails all week and he never indicated he did not get them, even though I have them on the copy my son sent me. Holy cow, have we been scammed? So now I am livid and call again only to find out this call center is in Central America. They are clueless and have no way of knowing what in the heck is going on. I asked for a supervisor, and big surprise, they have none. I had earlier asked Javier to check with the driver of the truck on the day of the delivery, and he said he had no ability to do that. Now I know why! There is no direct line into the store so now we have to go there tomorrow and see if we can see a manager, if they have one, and get some resolution to this mess. This should never have escalated to this degree over a pillow and would not have with a store that has a knowledgeable staff on-site. Boy things have really changed from even 20 years ago at businesses. This should have been a simple fix. Unwanted and unnecessary stress! Beware. Find a furniture store who cares about their customers.
