The Personal Ads on Locanto.co.za Are Filled with Scammers- A Review
Bro, let me just tell you about my experience with Locanto.co.za. The personals section is like a minefield of spam and email scammers. Like seriously, they just won't leave you alone! These scammers are out here trying to get your email address or get you to email them back and then BAM, before you know it your inbox is filled with fake pics and sketchy links that wanna steal your cash. They always say they're free but surprise! Suddenly they need your banking deets for some kinda "verification". It's messed up, man.
I try to report as many of these scams as I can but it feels like fighting a losing battle with Locanto. They don't seem to have a solid plan to get rid of these scammers! I've reported like 100 times already and all they do is remove the accounts you report. THEY'RE LIKE FREAKIN' HYDRA, MAN! You cut off one scammer and two more appear in their place. The flagging feature straight up does nothing to help.
Let's be honest, Locanto needs some serious moderation of their personals ads. They should sift through them before just throwing them up on the page. It's not rocket science, man. Get your s*** together, Locanto!

Oh boy, let me tell you about my experience with Locanto.co.za. As a single dude working his butt off, sometimes I just need to let loose and have some fun. So, I thought why not give Locanto personals a shot for some entertainment?
But let me tell you, there are some shady characters lurking on this site. If anyone asks you to pay via EFT or instantaneous banking, DO NOT DO IT! These scammers will take your money and peace out, leaving you with a lighter wallet.
And let's talk about the W4M section - it's practically a scammer's paradise. I wouldn't recommend doing any transactions via EFT or instant banking. In fact, I wouldn't recommend doing any transactions at all on that section. It seems like everyone is out to get your money.
If you try to contact them directly, good luck. Their phones just ring and ring with no answer. And to make it worse, they'll try to entice you with pictures of themselves.
It's a shame that there are scumbags like this out there. I personally got scammed out of R 2 200.00 - a wad of cash that I definitely couldn't afford to lose. So, be careful out there and stay away from the scammers on Locanto.co.za.
