Magnum is a real pain in the neck!
Magnum is a real pain in the neck! I've been trying to get in touch with them for months, but they keep changing the amount I owe. First, they told me one price, then three weeks later they jacked it up by 200 bucks and slapped on a 4% fee. And good luck trying to get them on the phone or through email - they're like ghosts! I don't know how they got an A rating, but it's a bunch of baloney. I've been trying to work with them since March, but they won't give me the time of day. It's totally shady to give me one price and then hike it up when I ask about the fees. And they're breaking the rules under the FDCPA, which is a big no-no. Anybody who's thinking about using them should think twice!

I called Magnum Association Services, LLC many times and left messages on their Google voice, but I haven't received any help. I even called Heritage Property, but still no luck. I'm worried because I haven't heard back from Magnum, and the agent at Heritage apologized for their lack of communication. It's strange that a legal company uses Google voice, but I just want to settle my debt. Hopefully, they'll start communicating clearly soon.

I had a problem with Magnum and my HOA for almost two years now. I asked for a detailed bill, but it took them 19 months to give it to me. They also messed up the accounting, and it's still not fixed. They put a bad mark on my credit report for an account that I was disputing, and they don't communicate well through email or writing. If they just answered my questions, I wouldn't have to deal with their money grab now. I want them to fix my account, update the balance, and give me back the late fees and interest charges because they didn't do their job right.

My HOA bill was $600 for 2021. They sent me the bill on Feb 1, 2021 and it wasn't overdue until Mar 1, 2021. Magnum Association Services, LLC and Heritage Property Management Services added a 25% "contingency fee" on the $600 bill that wasn't overdue yet. I paid the remaining balance of $972.10 (which included the $600 from 2021) on Feb 25, 2021. I told them about this through email, but they just blamed each other and said it was a "hard charge" that can't be removed. They keep blaming each other even though the Heritage website says that Magnum is "Our in-house collections agency". These companies take advantage of people who are struggling financially and charge attorney rates that are reasonable for court cases, but not for homeowners who pay before court processes or serious legal services are needed.

I paid $500 of my $600 HOA dues in Oct 2020. I talked to Heather from Heritage Property Management, but she couldn't give me any info because the account was in collections. I asked how long it had been in collections, but she didn't say. Magnum Association Services, LLC doesn't exist, it's just Heritage. They're charging me collections fees, but won't tell me anything about the HOA. Then, in Dec 2020, I got a letter from Lazega & Johanson Attorney saying they'd put a lien on my home if I didn't pay $3148.56, plus a $75 lien fee, $350 in attorney fees, and a $42.50 fee. On Jan 15, I offered to pay the HOA dues and attorney fees, but not Magnum's fees because they hadn't contacted me or sent anything in the mail. On Mar 4, Labresha said no to my offer. I emailed Heather.

Magnum Association Services, LLC said I gotta pay $2.94 even though I already paid $1292 to cover my $1,290.56 balance. I paid in two parts in December . They said I owed $1,056.02 plus $234.54 (25% Contingency fee) = $1,290. I paid $1159.00 on December 1 and $133.0 on December 11. Total I paid was $1292.00. I did the math and they owe me $1.44 but they didn't credit my account. Instead, they locked my account with my *** HOA and added a $2.94 balance that ain't right. I tried to talk to Carmen who's handling my account but she ain't answering my emails since January 6. My address is 4570 Lightning Bolt *** Douglasville Georgia XXXXX. Peace out
