Wish I could give it no stars
If I could give it no stars, I would. I looked into the company and signed up for a subscription but delayed it for 3 months. I got the email that it would be reinstated this week and tried to cancel. I never heard back that it had been cancelled. I got an email that an order was placed and we were charged for it. I have been trying to cancel my subscription and don't seem to get any response.
Recommendation: Don't even bother with it at all

A common thread is MisFits Market auto-building your cart and debiting your bank account without authorization to do so, unlike most ALL of the other vendors/suppliers out there.SOLUTION: MFM needs to adjust their system so the customer is in COMPLETE control, with order selection and cart checkout authorization. They may want to add PayPal or Venmo as payment options. And they NEED TO add a phone number enabling their customers to reach them.MY PERSONAL COMPLAINT RESULT: I reached out by email (only contact option). MFM responded the very next day, promising my account would be closed and a full refund would follow. They did just so - I received my full refund today!However, MFM is not ready for business just yet, until they make the "SOLUTION" adjustments listed above, MINIMUM. So, here is a positive experience going the right direction. Final important point, MisFits Market has responded to nearly ALL the complaints posted on this site. Keep trying MFM Team, you're getting closer.

I was curious and really wanted to like this. My husband and I love vegetables. And with a newborn I really wanted the ease of having the foods I like delivered to me door. However the veggies were very underwhelming. They weren't very good quality and pretty much all of them went bad within 2 days of arriving. To top it off I ordered cold foods, never received any of it. Were talking different types of meat and fish, like 10 items total. They did refund it but for being my first box it turned me off and I won't be back.
I am another one of your unsatisfied customers, very unhappy at your non-existent customer service. I like the idea of organic food and all but I really did not want to place an order, not even having sent it to me which I did not authorize and the only way was because my credit card was part of my profile and so you charge me for something I did not even authorize and usually you send it back when you're not happy, but there's no way to send it back to you. In short, please refund my money! It's pretty bad when you don't even approve an order to be sent to you but your company just sends it to me anyway and charges my credit card without me saying anything. Isn't that a bit fraudulent? With as many people as up in arms about the poor customer service of your company, I can kind of see a class action lawsuit against your company for reasons that you know good and well you are misrepresenting your good name and stealing our money at the same time. I really want to see something done, this is just not right whatsoever!

Terrible organization. Misleading. Poorly run.They don't allow you to see anything that's available until you sign up for a plan. They take your credit card and all your information then refuse to cancel your subscription, which I placed and requested 2 mins after sign up. They don't have full size products like milk, their produce are overpriced and I haven't even gotten to the cost of shipping/delivery. I have contacted several times customer service and still no reply. They don't even have a phone number! Now they have all my information and who knows what they are going to charge me.

I wanted to check this out. Allegedly you get less than favorable looking produce for much cheaper. In order to see prices and dates you must first put in your information including your credit card. I began building a box to check prices. After work, 2 days later, I was at the grocery store (Whole Foods) and these same organic produce items were cheaper at my store, so I didnt ever proceed with my order. Today I got an e mail saying my box has shipped. WHAT BOX? I didnt compete an order. I didnt hit purchase or ship. Nothing. Theyve taken it upon themselves (and now many others Im seeing) to just automatically charge my card. Thats illegal. I dont care what there terms of service are. A companys terms of service cannot go outside or beyond the letter of the law. Period. When I put stuff in my Amazon cart, my Target cart, my Gap cart etc, these places dont just decide to ship my items randomly days later. Why? Because I didnt authorize it and I havent authorized Misfits Market to randomly complete my order and charge my card. Do not order from them. Their owners and shareholders think they are above the law. Its cucumbers, not a cure for cancer. Get over yourselves.

The company made a withdrawal payment for an order I did not authorize nor give permission to my account. The website does not cancel your order it puts you to something called ala carte option. I want the full amount retuned back and the account cancelled in its entirety. I do not want any further affiliation with this company at all.
Unhappy with food being almost spoiled, having to throw out half of the boxed items. Not able to talk to a real person, we canceled service but somehow keeps getting reactivated for charges and delivery.
Was a charged for a box of food EVEN THOUGH I DID NOT GO THROUGH WITH FINALIZING MY SUBSCRIPTION. How? Misfits Market requires cc information in order for one to "build" a delivery box. Spent some time considering options and decided the subscription wasn't for me. I WAS STILL CHARGED FOR BOX, it's arriving today, and here's the kicker: it's full of things I don't eat lol. Who made the decision to sign me up? Not me Who decided what to put in the box? Not Me Who is being charged $48 dollars. Me. I expect a full refund. It's a pity you waste food as you do, forcing boxes of unwanted food on people. That doesn't seem to fit well with your branding, does it?

I'm afraid the worst is true. Misfits Market's operation and website ARE DESIGNED TO BLOCK ANY CALL FOR HELP! The supposed live chat question *** icon only appears in an unlinked header, the *** is only FAQs, and the Contact Us page will NOT SUBMIT.My Order #***40 due to arrive on 8/11 was so damaged in transit under *** Tracking #***074, that *** elected to return it to Misfits Market. I went through all of the work to claim the loss with ***, but they denied my claim under Case #***, stating: "According to our records, the shipper must file all claims as per our contract agreement with them. Please contact the shipper for further information." So I am out $25.78 plus $10.00 credit and three friendship referrals, which I must save from more Misfits' harm.The Misfits Market shipment due today does not appear to even be shipped, but the money has been taken from my credit card. Online research has NOT REVEALED ANY PHONE NUMBER.This Complaintsboard.com complaint forum seems to be the only place Misfits Market has responded to customers IN ANY WAY, so I am giving it a try. I've been with Misfits Market for several months now. Every order my eggs are broken. Last two order my milk cartons were completely broken and my groceries were submerged in milk. This past order I received two cartons of milk that were broken with no milk in them. Someone had punctured and emptied two whole cartons of milk and then stuck them in my order; entire box was dry with 2 emptied cartons of milk. I cancelled my orders with them. This company is unable to delivery groceries without them leaking, smashed, crushed, eggs broken, and employees are spiteful. I don't recommend them.
Fair to Good value for your money. I like that I can choose what I want and how often I want to order. Awesome that I can get fresh produce delivered to my door in ND. The company has been prompt in refunding any issues I have had with product quality or occasionally a missing product. The referral credits are very nice.

Wish I would have read the reviews. I saw that there was a $30 minimum for an order to be placed online. You cant even see what they have available without creating an account and entering your payment information. I deliberately left my cart under $30 to avoid getting charged, and somehow (I guess the prices changed), my cart ended up at just over $30 and they charged me. I got an email at 4 AM letting me know the order was placed. No confirmation, no hey, were about to place your order, is this what you want?. Just a 4am confirmation and shipping email later in the day. And of course, you cant call them, so theres no immediate ability to address any issues you have with their service. And if you look at their responses to other customers, they take no responsibility for these misleading practices. They just quote terms and conditions at you that cover how they operate. Now I have a box of random produce on its way to me, most of which I dont even want. I was just looking around to see what they had available. This is a terrible customer experience. This company wont be around for long behaving this way. I will be disputing this charge with my bank. My plan has already been canceled. From what Ive read elsewhere, Im probably looking forward to a box of rotten produce anyhow.

Charged and received a box I cancelled! They are impossible to get ahold of and have a terrible system set up for billing and custom service which is a huge part of any business. I dont even eat a bunch of what they sent and am furious because I cancelled the box and my account so this shouldnt have happened. Never again and would not recommend to anyone. Some produce you will receive is also terrible quality.

I like the idea that they advertise. But the prices are high and the food is not always good quality. When I've received rotten items they have promptly refunded that portion of my order. But I was charged my account $39.65 for an order I did not place. It has items in I will not use because we do not like them. I asked to cancel my account and they responded by saying they will remove me from the weekly order but keep me on as an A La Carte member. I have been a member for some time now and never received a weekly order. Every order has been as I chose and ordered individual items. They changed my subscription and charged my account without my consent or knowledge. I have now completely cancelled my subscription but I'm still out the money for food I will not use and did not order!I'm marking 1 star for this review but if I could leave it blank I would!

I emailed them a very *** email telling them that they are scammers and I hope they sleep well at night knowing they are stealing peoples money. Pathetic. What a useless app. I cancelled my account but I am terrified because it wouldnt let me delete my card so Im afraid they are just going to continue taking money with their grimy little hands. They have too many kinks in their system to work out. I would not trust their online system. My password suddenly stopped working and they could not get me back into my account. They claimed not to have my financial information but this was untrue because I had been ordering groceries through automatic payments. I was worried that I had been hacked. Support sent me the same explanation over and over even though my issue has not been resolved. I had to email them every couple of days for progress on the issue. Weeks later I still cannot access my account while they promise me they have excellent security. Well if they can't figure out how to send a password reset (or why I needed one in the first place) and they can't even see in my account that I was using automatic payments (which suggests they can't access my account either or else haven't really investigated?) how can I trust they can handle a hacking event?Prior to this except for an occasionaly delivery snafuu (My fish and meat and rasberries and peached arrived a day early when I was still out of town and SPOILED sitting in the hot sun, and then who ever packed the boxes would throw jars of sauces on top of fragilel cilantro turning them to mush) but otherwise I really really liked the products they offered, the discounts, I enjoyed it very much and looked forward to it every week. (Just resolved never to order fish or meat from them again!)

Like almost every review on here, I went on to the Misfits website out of curiosity. But you can't look at the website without first starting an account and entering your credit card #. I was unable to open an account. I was told my email address was invalid so I put in my boyfriend's email address. Was told that was also invalid. Contacted customer service. The next day both my boyfriend and I received emails saying a box of vegetables was on its way to me. I NEVER GOT ON THE WEBSITE. I never put anything into a basket, never confirmed an order, etc. I contacted customer service several times. No answer back. But I read the reviews below all saying essentially the same thing: customers were charged for items they never ordered. I read the lame responses from the company and wondered, does it ever occur to you Misfits, to maybe CHANGE the way you do business? You say you're in the business of restructuring food waste but you're *** off a lot of people. No other company I've come across is happy to anger so many potential customers. For what purpose? Is your product really so terrible you have to hoodwink people into buying it? Why not follow the actual principles of green-minded people and treat your customers with respect? Since it's impossible for me to access the website to cancel my order and stop doing business with these grifters I have to call my bank to make sure they never allow this company access to my credit card.

I had read that a subscription like misfit markets saved people money, so I was price comparing between them and other services like Imperfect produce. I put in my CC info during the sign up process, didnt see anything I liked and closed out of the browser on my phone. To my horror I got an email a week later saying my box was on its way. I immediately emailed customer service and they responded saying that they could not stop the shipment, but would credit my card and if I decided to remain with the service would receive a $10.00 credit to my account. I was impressed, but didnt respond immediately because I wanted to see if whatever had come in the box was worth the subscription and if it even got to me. Like I feared, I got a notification saying it was delivered and I drove home within 15 minutes. No package anywhere. I thought it was just my neighborhood, but I have received Amazon packages with no issues in the past. From what Im reading on these reviews missing packages is looking to be a trend. I emailed them about the missing box, still anticipating that I would be getting a refund, but I decided to let them know it never arrived. I received a generic email apologizing for the issues. I emailed them asking about the status of my refund because its been well over the 3-5 business day transaction time. I was charged on the 18th of January 2022 and it is now the 28th of January 2022. I have not seen my money returned like promised or received an email back. I am getting all the advertisements for their product, but no solution, so its not like Im somehow just not getting emails from them anymore. Avoid this website. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone now.

I am on vacation and won't be home when my box is delivered, which is why I purposely changed my upcoming delivery day last week. The food is literally going to rot in the box in the sun and will be enjoyed by racoons. Also, I like how I *convenientlyreceive a text message when my order is confirmed, but not when I need to build my box or skip my upcoming order?! Also, why is it $10 more than it usually is for the minimum price? It was a $30 minimum to ship orders, and you charged me $40?! Conveniently adding more items to a customers box on the weekend so you can make more money? You guys are honestly playing games at this point and I am not happy about it. I have already reached out to your team and I received a nice automatically generated email response that I can't do anything with my order because it's "too late". How is it too late?! It's Saturday night and *** is closed, so how is it too late?! How is anything too late? Explain to me how you are in the process of building my box, but can't cancel it?!If you aren't willing to do the right thing here, consider me lost as a customer permanently. It's that simple. Misfits Market does have good produce and prices, but the website in conjunction with customer service leaves a lot to be desired. There is no phone number of email address available on the website, event for a regular customer with a registered an account. The only contact is through a website form, which generates an automatic reply via email that says they will get back to you. You will wait at least a week to get a response, so if you have an urgent problem with a current order, you are basically on your own. These days I always end up emailing to a generic address I received after complaining numerous times about smashed, missing and broken items, and even then it takes a while to receive a reply. Almost every single delivery over the last six months has had something wrong, and required a refund that took several emails to obtain. Also, the packaging varies in each order, and lately they are insulating the boxes with something that looks like thermal construction insulation. It says its recyclable, but in fact it is not accepted by any recycling facility (I inquired extensively). For a company that sells all organic produce, they sure do not care about the environment. The shipping materials are a complete overkill, with upwards of 20 feet total of insulation for three boxes, in every single shipment I receive. At first I was patient because I started ordering from this company when it was still pretty new, and it was also a time when we were at the peak of the pandemic. But months later nothing has improved much. I wish they would get their act together, because they offer good products, but I would like to receive those products intact, be able to contact them when a problem arises, receive immediate replies, and avoid tossing out many yards of box insulation with each order.

To all those thinking of ordering from misfits market, here's my experience. All I can say is DON'T DO IT! #misfitsmarket #dontdoit I have subscribed since about January. And every box has had severely damaged produce (either frozen, too old/spoiled, or broken) My box has never arrived on time. I did get one refund for a box that was entirely frozen! Otherwise I have put up with damaged produce every time, but I kept it and didn't complain thinking I was doing a good thing supporting this business and it's cause...preventing waste. But all I did was make more waste myself!This last box arrived Monday (should've been on Friday) with the now thawed cold pack on top of all my fragile produce/items (red peppers, plums, asparagus, cilantro) rendering most of those items inedible. I had to throw them away because they were all squashed. And all of my items had smeared cilantro all over them. My other items were also squashed as well. The broth in paper boxes won't stand in the cupboard anymore, and to be honest I'm very surprised they didn't bust open. The cans of matcha are all dented, the cold brew coffee containers are also distorted and bent. The way that their boxes are packaged causes breakage every time! Why is a 5lb ice pack placed on top of fragile produce? They do this everytime I got a box! It's simple logistics, don't put heavy ice ontop of fragile items!I canceled my service and asked for a refund as most of my items are now in my garbage. They gave me a refund of $9 for the produce only, not for any of the other products that were damaged. It is really a shame that they carry such good products, but they arrive either frozen, broken, or 3 days late every time I order.I don't ever give bad reviews for anything, but my experience with Misfits Market was ridiculous! I accepted it and moved on. I can understand that nothing can be absolutely perfect when delivering fresh goods especially with a third party delivery service. I ended up continuing to order a couple of boxes after this and had a good experience with the food within those orders, even though every week I would hear a loud smack outside from the delivery driver TOSSING the box on the concrete.Eventually I received a box with a leaking oat milk box and a beat up mango. I decided to report a delivery issue because I really dont think that Misfits would intentionally pack a leaking box of milk and a beaten mango. However, they needed to know that their third party delivery wasnt compatible with how they pack food/liquids. I did get a refund for the damaged items and the customer service was incredibly nice about it and understood where I was coming from. I decided to give it one more try this week but I received a damaged box, with a damaged and leaking oat milk container (again), as well as cold packs on top of kale that was completely flattened. I intentionally order items that do not require cold packs because of the experience I had with my first order, so they were not necessary to be in this box. I gave 3 stars overall. This service did allow me to incorporate more fruits and veggies into my diet that were organic and sometimes cheaper than what I can find at my local supermarket. I would cautiously recommend this service to my peers, if at all. Im not sure if I will be continuing with the service because although they do refund for damaged goods, they do not replace them. At this point in time it is not ideal to risk money on food that *** or *** not show up in edible condition.

After a couple of months of receiving reminders to "fill my box" and perusing the available produce, organic processed foods, and cold pack required meats, I finally settled on purchasing a selection of produce. I read through the instructions until I felt I had a grasp on the expectations of not perfect produce. I did not expect perfection, of course, but also did not expect the mess I received. I ordered a variety of produce including cabbage, beefsteak tomatoes, leaf spinach, a tub of mixed spinach greens, oranges, navel oranges, green peppers, radishes, purple sweet potatoes, mini cucumbers, and Granny *** apples. As soon as the box arrived, I opened it right away to take account of what was received to prepare it for cold storage. Once the humungous cold pack was removed, my heart sank as I realized that none of the items were packed to protect the contents. No dividers were used to separate or protect the items in transit. The cold pack must have weighed 5 lbs. alone and it was positioned on top of the contents with only a thin sheet of cardboard between it and the produce. It was wet and did little to protect anything. Because the produce was not strategically packed, I had squashed tomatoes, wilted, slimy leaf spinach, bruised apples, shriveled purple sweet potatoes that were the size of fingerling potatoes that were certainly not worth the price paid, and the tub of greens was so badly squashed that the contents were spilling out inside the box. I immediately reported the finding and the only reason I am giving 3 stars and not 1 star is because they immediately refunded (upon request) for all the items received that were inedible. While the items were shipped and received quickly, I just don't feel the contents were worth the price and lacking the care and attention to packing the items to prevent damage was not utilized. The whole point is to avoid disposing of perfectly good food. There has to be a better way. Sadly, this was my first and only order.

I have had multiple issues with Misfits Market and they refuse to do anything about it. Their customer service is the absolute WORST, or I should say lack there of. There is no phone number or email to contact them, just a web form to submit which you will never hear back from. They claim to have an online chat, but once you type in your name no one ever says anything and the chat ends up being cancelled due to inactivity (on THEIR part). Once that happens it sends you back to the web form to contact them. It is seriously the most frustrating experience! You feel stuck! And they have your money, so there is nothing you can do about it. You can't even call someone to speak to customer service. I had issues with multiple orders and after getting no response back from customer service, the only thing left to do was cancel my subscription. I was constantly receiving produce in terrible condition on top of not receiving the things I ordered. Then, I received a $20 off promotion if I subscribed again and was told that they were offering better products and a new way to order. I checked it out due to curiosity, and was told if I didn't finish filling the order I would not receive the order. Which was good to know, I was playing around with the website to see what was offered and adding things to my cart out of curiosity, but I never finished filling my order. Then, I received an email notifying me that I did not complete my order and I would need to do so in order to finish and have it shipped to me this month. Still not sure if I truly wanted the order, I did NOT complete the order. Again, I was only looking around out of curiosity. Well, sure enough, it shipped anyway! I was furious, so I emailed customer service per the web form AGAIN but did not hear anything back. Of course. Why would I? They never write back or contact you when you have a problem. I am so furious with this company. I will never ever ever ever order from them again and I will be sure to tell anyone that is looking for a subscription food service like this to NEVER order from you all. It is clear by all of the 1 star comments how awful this company truly is. I should have reviewed the company here before ever getting involved. All they want is your money, but they don't want to provide any assistance or customer service whatsoever. They are greedy and a fraud of a company!

I have a subscription with this company that I started in May 2022
I have a subscription with this company that I started in May 2022. I was able to work within the plans outline successfully, have been able to change items in my cart, skip deliveries, etc. with no issue. My delivery day is Wednesday and according to my plan if I make changes to a delivery by Sunday night all will go as agreed to. I skipped my delivery for 08/03/2022 and all was fine until the morning of 08/03/2022 when I received notification from my credit card that I had been charged over $78 for a delivery that will arrive on FRIDAY (not my scheduled delivery day) 08/05/2022. Firstly the preselected items put into my cart by Misfits Market determined by my previous orders is supposed to be limited to around $30. This order was for over $78, a total that I have never even come close to spending on previous orders. Secondly, my delivery day was changed from Wednesday to Friday, I was not notified of this change of delivery day NOR did I change the delivery day myself.I have sent communication directly to Misfits Markets help center but cannot find a phone number to contact them directly myself. Please help me resolve these current issues and cancel my subscription ASAP. There have been minor issues with my account previously but this situation is totally unacceptable. Thank you for your help.

I have been erroneously charged for four transactions, with each transaction costing around $45.50. I have canceled this subscription multiple times and they keep charging me. The reason why I canceled this subscription in the first place was that I received rotten food in two boxes in a row. After canceling, I am still being charged and have been charged four additional times. I was charged on 10/18/22, 10/25/22, 11/1/22, and 11/8/22.
I got an ad for this service and while I was driving had my gf pull it up and look through the site to see what she liked and add it to the cart. We both had absolutely no idea that adding something to a cart would escalate into being immediately charged for it. I think this is absolutely outrageous. A traditional shopping experience is nothing like this. Its to be expected that when you add things to a cart you will go to a check out window at some point! I think this is very deceptive because when I signed up and gave my credit card I was under the assumption I would not be charged. I demand a refund.
Just ordered from Misfits for the first time this month (Nov 2022) and our first 2 orders were completely screwed up - AND our attempts at contacting customer service were not successful. There is only a website, have been unable to find a phone # for them! I am going to have to cancel my payments to get their attention!
I downloaded their app in anticipation of possibly utilizing their services; however, I elected not to after reviewing the app content. I never submitted the order. Somehow my order was placed. I was placing my items in my cart and realized that there was over abundance of meat attached to my order that I did not pick. I removed all my items in my cart and started over. The same thing happened. I finally did not complete my list. My order was placed without my permission. They charged me more than the promotion. I was also charged shipping. My card was charged and the order was placed by someone. I sent a complaint. I never received a response. I sent another complaint to cancel the order. Still did not hear back from anyone. Just a form email that comes back whenever you place a complaint. Another order was processed on this account that I did not order. It is all items I am allergic to. I am having to pay for items that I did not order. I sent several complaints. The company does not respond to them. This is a bogus company that offers quality products. I had produce so moldy that it had to be thrown away. The meat came in thawed. It sat in a box in the *** heat and had to be thrown away also. Do no do business with this company.

I placed an order with Misfits Market, not my first! It was supposed to arrive by Monday, January 24, 2022 or Tuesday, January 25, 2022! On Tuesday, January 25 , I went to their site to see why my shipment had not come. The site said it was delayed and would come on Wednesday, January 26, 2022! On Wednesday it didn't come so I checked back on the site and the delivery date had been changed to the next day, again, Thursday, January 27, 2022! Each day I went back to check on the Misfits Market site and each day the arrival date had been changed to the next day! Also, each day when I checked the delivery dates I sent in a request on the site's little form asking for a response as to what was going on with my food! At first I just wanted some kind of response but after about 5 requests I told them, Misfits Market support team, that I wanted a full refund! The ONLY, AND I MEAN ONLY response I have received is computer generated saying that my complaint had been received and that I would hear back from them within 48 hours! It is now Sunday, January 30, 2022 at about 9: 40 PM and I still have heard NOTHING from them! All I want now is a FULL refund! I would NOT recommend Misfits Market to anyone! Not only did I NOT receive my groceries for the week, my money, by the way it was an order of $138.45, is tied up and I cannot afford to get what I need now!

This company is dishonest in how they handle their subscriptions. I canceled my subscription last week and still received an order which I was billed for. Im also scheduled for a delivery this week which they are no longer giving me an option to cancel. I really dont want to take them to court but Id they refuse to address the issue Ill have no choice.
Each of the orders I received whether ordered on time or not, contained items that were spoiled, or damaged in shipment. I can do better shopping myself at a local grocery store. My most recent purchase was 10/17/2022. The delivery person came after 9:30 pm. and neglected to ring the door bell to alert us that the package was delivered. It contained perishable items and the ice pack inside was warm to the touch. Two dozen eggs were broken and spilled out the contents all over the rest of the produce and perishables. I had attempted to cancel the membership prior to this order, but I was owed credits from previous issues with orders, and had to take them. This company's advertisement is promising, however, are a huge disappointment, and the customer service is non existent. I do not understand why there are no agents to speak with. No delivery was ever attempted. At 5:54 pm, I received a text from the delivery driver saying that they would not be delivering my groceries on that day and would re-attempt the following day. It was over 90 degrees on Tuesday, May 31. Even if the meat and fish were later returned to a colder shipping facility, it is not safe because the temperature control of the items is not ensured. The meat and fish are packed with ice, but there is no guarantee that the items maintained a safe temperature prior to returning to the facility or at the facility. The items were never tested to ensure that the 40 C temperature was maintained after being in the hot car for a full day. The meat and fish items handled in this way are unsafe and inedible. Because the meat and fish items handled in this way are not safe, I contacted Misfits Market and requested they issue a refund. They have refused repeatedly. They are insisting on attempting re-delivery. It is now 8:00 pm on June 1. No items have arrived. So now we have meat and fish that has been traveling around in a car for two days during the summer. I am so upset by how this entire situation has been handled by Misfits Market I was charged $51 on the 30th a few hours after I cancelled my membership or thought I did. The last time I ordered I just wanted to try it out and the produce is not that good and way overpriced. Misfits Market is a scam! I'm not sure how they are still in business. My 1st order happened on June 26th, I was interested in what they were selling, signed up, not for a specific plan, you have to enter cc info to see what they have, so I did. Somehow I received a box of vegetables some weeks later. I thought now I didn't order that, had decided I didn't really care for what they had. But I thought the order came I must have placed it. I let it go and chalked it up to maybe I just didn't remember ordering? Thinking I was slightly losing it. Proceeded to, I thought, cancel my account with them. Then a week ago was looking for salmon and their name popped up, took a look at the price and decided against it. Next thing I know 50$ worth of awful, tiny, smelly salmon arrived. I know I did not order this. The company explained pretty much that if there is anything in your cart on your designed order day it will be sent and charged. That is ridiculous and such a scam! This company needs shut down. If u can't get loyal customers from delivering good quality products and have to trick people into purchasing, you should not be in business. You can't delete your account on your own and no # to call. Shady! Also, I want to add that on my first shipment I received several emails confirming and info on shipping, this time I did not receive any notice at all it was simply charged to my card and shipped...again I thought I had cancelled my account. But you cannot.

Initially, I enjoyed using this company as I was able to get produce/pantry items at a reduced price as well as the convenience of them shipping direct to my front door. In the last month, their product quality has been very poor - spoiled meat, expired packaged items, and rotten vegetables/fruit. I contacted them about these product issues and they would give a partial refund for that one particular item. This week, I went into the app and opted to skip this week's shipment as I was not in need of anything they were offering. They still processed my box, put items in that they selected and charged my credit card. I contacted their customer service to let them know I had skipped this week's shipment and did not want them to send it to me. They told me that the box was already processed for shipment and could not be cancelled, gave a whole spiel about skipping the shipment in the app if I did not want/need one that week - they never offered a refund nor a coupon for a free box for the next week (which most businesses would do to keep my business). I responded letting them know that I would like a refund because I did indeed skip the order in the app, they responded saying "sorry it's already been processed for shipment so it can't be cancelled." But, that's not what I was asking. They again never offered a refund or anything for my inconvenience. I cancelled my account with them.

This brought me to a page which required that I provide credit card information which they ensured would not be used without my consent. I provided that and continued to the site to find that they did not have enough products to my liking for me to order from them (they provide groceries, theirs did not match my diet and budget), so I left the site and didnt think again about it until December 31st when I found on my doorstep a box of food that had been sitting out all day (since I had no idea it would be received). I checked my bank account and found they had charged me $30 for this box on December 29th.They claim that they automatically enroll you, so even if you dont order anything, an order will be charged to you and shipped.Whats more amazing is that according to a previous email received December 21st, it is clear that when browsing their site, I did take the step they claimed after charging me that I would have had to take in order to not be charged: I cleared the automatic basket and added less than $30 of items while browsing. Yet they decided to charge and ship me the default order anyway. I never placed an order with Misfits Market, ever, and yet they have charged me $30 and left food I didnt order rotting on my doorstep. They claim that by giving them my credit card info that they required to even browse their site, I placed the order, and have refused to refund me, instead crediting me for a future order I have no intention of ever placing.

The first time I realized for me misfits wasnt cheaper and didnt have the options I was looking for and what I got I was able to get cheaper elsewhere so I cancelled my membership. I received an email that my card was charged and when I would receive my order so I contacted them to resolve the issue and they responded with a passive aggressive email about how to cancel my membership, which I had done, and gave me a credit for what I had paid. I asked for a refund and I feel like since there was obviously an issue with their website. Since I had the credit I used it and once again tried to cancel my account. Again thought all was well and I thought nothing of it, then the next week I again I find out I got charged again so I reached out and its been 4 days and still no havent gotten a response other than the automatic one telling me my packages has been shipped. (Safe to assume they probably havent even flagged my account for having issues if it still shipped.) I think they need better options to contact and if they are going to have it set up to automatically ship weekly they should respond to complaints and concerns in a timely manner. Honestly I want a full refund for both transactions, I know I wont get it but I think its very wrong that would give me a credit for something that I didnt want in the first place. I shouldnt have been forced to use the money I got back for their company that messed up to begin with.

I signed up for Misfits Market back in May this year. The first order I received was not satisfactory in many ways and so I decided to cancel my subscription. The only way to do so on their website is by using their site to submit an email asking to have your account canceled. This of course takes a few days to process by which time they said it was too late to not receive the next order. I pointed out that I had not added anything to my cart but they told me things were added based on my first order and so since it had been shipped and I had already been charged for it I had to accept it. The following week I once again received an email saying to build my cart before time ran out. I once again used the email system, the only method they provide by which to contact them, and demanded they cancel my account immediately. Nothing in response and I continue to get emails saying I must order items for my cart. There is also no way to delete my credit card information from their website without giving another form of payment so I am stuck with a subscription I do not want and emails throughout the week telling me I need to build my cart before the cut off time. I was charged $39.68 for the order that I did not want and received due to their deceiving system by which there is no possible way to contact them before being charged for items you do not want and did not choose to receive. I just want them to cancel my account and delete my information so there is no chance of charging me for more items I do not want. It is ridiculous I have to go to these lengths just to cancel my account.Thank you.Amber

Their entire website structure is confusing and they purposely do not specify that the very moment you enter your account information on their site, you are locked and have essentially sold your soul and bank card to them. Then they have the nerve to ignore emails asking for a refund, they have NO customer service number, and they enter the same robotic cookie cutter reply to every single customer complaint on the ***. What they need to do is hire humans to work in their customer service department so they can Listen, Apologize, Satisfy, and Thank just like companies that actually care about their money spending patrons do. I want a refund. I do not want to be ignored. I do not want future charges on my bank card. I do not want a bogus cookie cutter robot response. I do not want site credit. I want nothing to do with this sketchy company ever again and I hope more people read these 300+ complaints about the same thing in 3 years and then stay far away from Misfit Market. What a joke this company is. Give people their refunds and learn to communicate to your consumers. Stop stealing money from us with your sneaky and crooked terms of service. It said if I wanted to resume, I could restart my weekly plan via my account page.On June 2 I got a notification that Misfits Market was going to charge my *** card $39.50 and that my order "had been confirmed". (Say what? What order?) Per Misfits Cancellation Policy:"Once an order has been billed, it can not be altered or cancelled, and it will still be shipped. Cancelling your plan on or after you have been charged for an order will not cancel the order in progress."Well, I canceled my plan BEFORE my weekly box was billed or charged - so WHY am I getting notifications about a grocery box being shipped and also a charge to my credit card?I've emailed the company multiple times the last couple days, but have had ZERO response. Like others here have complained about, there is NO phone number to reach them on. SO frustrating. And they seriously lag on responding to issues/problems. I thought to give the business the benefit of the doubt since I know sometimes computer errors happen, etc. --------------------However, after the same situation happened to me. I know it's an ongoing issue that Misfits did not want to fix. When signing up, they mentioned their model is based on a cart and once you hit $30 they send you a box. And when you're below that amount, they tell you that you need a remaining $15 before they can ship you the box. --------------------Anyways, the situation was clear to me and I thought that perhaps other consumers had items in their cart which were sent to them. Sometimes I understand that there are accidental processing errors from Misfits but BOY WAS I WRONG. I did not have these items in my cart and they sent me an invoice for about $40 worth of items. This receipt was sent to me Jan 27th at 1:08am saying "we received your order". I thought this must've been a mistake and so I emailed them at 8:22am IMMEDIATELY to let them know of this issue. Obviously 1:08am was already suspicious to begin with. --------------------They disregard my message and proceed to send the order at Jan 27th at 1:29pm. Why would they do that? I already emailed them about the issue and they still send me the box when it's obviously a mistake. Their customer service finally writes back saying that they're unable to cancel the order and they're sorry for the inconvenience. I would give negative ratings if I could - Trust the Complaintsboard.com complaints! It has 1 star out of 5 for a reason!

We set up an account with Misfits to try out the services and use a first time order code sent from a coworker. We entered our information and payment information to create the account, which apparently was done, but the system would not *** us access to the account. We received an e-mail that we created an account and that we would be charged and receive an order and did in fact receive an order, but we we not able to access our account to select the items or choose not to have the order. We still have not been able to access the account in any way. When we try to login by "forgot password" method, the system says that the account cannot be found. We sent requests in on the customer service message system the moment we realized the issue and also the next day. It has been four business days with no response, we have been charged and shipped food we did not select, and are approaching another week's auto order without even being able to access the account. We need access to our account so we can at least determine whether we want to use the service and/or to select items and we also want the credit for the first time order that we were unable to use due to the lack of account access and automatic order that we could not control. If a company is not going to provide a phone number, it should at least respond to customer issues timely, and at the very least in enough time between automatic charge cycles to permit a customer to access the account to modify the order. This has been a very frustrating experience and we have been charged for items we did not even have the chance to select. At this juncture, we do not even have the ability to cancel the service if we wanted to, because we cannot get resolution of our account problems.

Dates: 9/19/22 for 9/12/22, you should receive an email before goods are shipped to review your cart, which is pre-filled for convenience. You can add or remove items. I didn't get these emails, so unwanted goods were shipped. I tried to cancel but was refused. This company falsely advertises and takes money unfairly. They claim on their site: 'You have a shopping window before your first order. We start your cart with quality items. Customize your order during this window. Your cart, meeting the order minimum, gets charged when the window closes, no checkout needed.' They didn't notify me about my shopping window, and I want a refund. Also, the unwanted goods arrived warm, as their cold packs failed.

On June 11, 2022 I received a box of warm random vegetables. The ice pack was completely melted and the box was soggy. It was the oddest delivery because I have never heard of the company and yet the box was delivered to me. I went online to look up the company and to my surprise I had an account- very strange because I never heard of this company and yet they had my address and CREDIT CARD number! I then went onto my back statement and sure enough there was an almost $40 charge. THIS IS THE SHADIEST COMPANY. I never subscribed to this service, nor would I want to, and yet they billed my account and had reoccurring payment scheduled! There is NO phone number for customer service so you have to "report an issue" an see if maybe your message will be responded to with 48 hours. You cannot remove your credit card. There is a cancel option it is a horrible website and nothing gets confirmed when you try to cancel. After I did everything I could with the thieving company, I received and email on what to chose for my next box! Again no customer service so I can't call and I cannot remove my cc so future payments cannot get deducted. This is such fraud. The only thing I can think of is when I received a promo code for another company - Hello Fresh (I did not sign up but was a customer years ago) somehow Misfit *** created an account and used a preexisting credit card on file. AGAIN a VERY SHADY AND QUESTIONABLE "company". I am guessing they know they are scammers because there is no way to contact or correct their error. Stealing credit card info should be a crime...am I wrong? Now I have to take time to correct this issue and see if my bank will refund the charges. There is NOOOOO trust in this business doing the right thing and after looking at Complaintsboard.com this is not the first time MM has done this. They really should be brought up on charges but I would settle for a refund and guarantee "my account" is permanently deleted.
