MLB.com Shop MLB.com Shop's Slow Shipping and Lack of Information - A Frustrating Experience

I had a really bad experience with MLB.com Shop. I ordered a shirt for my husband as a Christmas present on December 9th, but it still hasn't arrived in Atlanta, GA. I paid $7.99 for standard shipping, which is way too much money to ship a shirt, and the estimated shipping date was December 16th. I don't understand why it would take over two weeks to ship a package to a major city like Atlanta.

To make matters worse, the item didn't even ship on December 16th. When I called customer service, they couldn't give me any information about when the item would ship or when it would arrive. They just apologized and said they couldn't cancel the order. Now, it looks like the shirt won't arrive in time for Christmas, but I don't even know when it will arrive.

This is really frustrating because we live in an era of online shopping and fast shipping. It's unacceptable for a company like MLB.com to take so long to ship a package and not provide any information to their customers. I will never order from MLB.com again, and I wish I had read online reviews before placing my order. I feel like I was taken advantage of, and I don't want anyone else to fall victim to their incompetence or predatory selling techniques.

MLB.com Shop MLB Shop Review: Poor Service and Backorders Galore

I've had a few experiences with MLB Shop, and let me tell you, they haven't been great. I've purchased three items from them, and all three times, the item went on backorder after I made the purchase. I mean, come on, it's 2015, how can they not have a system that shows current availability?

The last time I bought from them was during a buy one, get one free sale. I thought, "Okay, maybe they've improved their service." So, I bought two items. The next day, I received an email saying that one of the items was unavailable, and they had to cancel it. I was disappointed, but I thought maybe they would offer me a substitute item or a discount. But no, they didn't offer me anything. So, I ended up paying full price for just one item.

I decided to call their customer service to complain, but all they could offer me was a 10% discount off my current order. I asked if I could substitute another item, but they said I had to return my order and do a completely new one. It was frustrating, to say the least.

Overall, I have to say that their service is pretty bad. Especially considering that MLB is such a massive company, you'd think they would have their act together. But nope, they still have a lot of work to do.

MLB.com Shop MLB.com Shop Review: Cancelled Order Mix-Up and Partial Refund

I made an order on 11/03/2016 on MLB.com Shop. I wanted to change one item on my order, so I called customer service. They told me that I couldn't change it, but I could cancel it and reorder. So, I did that. After a few weeks, I started receiving items from the order I had cancelled. I checked my credit card and saw that I was only refunded a part of what I had paid. I called customer service to ask why I was receiving items I had cancelled and why I was only refunded a part of what I had paid. They told me that I couldn't cancel the order because it had already been processed the day I ordered it. All of the items I ordered were "preorder Chicago Cubs items." I told them that I had called and cancelled. They said that there was a mix-up with their system and that I would be refunded. However, all items on my cancelled order would still be shipped to me, so I needed to return them as they arrived. It's been a month later, and I am still slowly getting items I had cancelled, and I still haven't received a full refund. I have filed a complaint with my credit card company. Thankfully, I have kept track of all phone calls and tracking numbers. Please don't order from them, and use my horrible experience as an example.

MLB.com Shop MLB.com Shop Review: Poor Shipping and Customer Service Experience

I recently made a purchase on MLB.com Shop and unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one. I placed a large order on April 23 and according to the shipping information, it should have been shipped within two business days. However, when I received my confirmation email, it stated that the items would not be delivered until May 4-7. This was a problem for me as I needed the items by May 1.

I immediately reached out to the company via email to request a refund, but received a response stating that they could not accept the email and that I needed to contact customer service. After some searching on their website, I found the live chat option and entered all of my information to make my request. However, I was repeatedly kicked out of the chat before I could speak to a representative.

After several attempts, I was finally able to connect with a representative who agreed to cancel my entire order. I was relieved, but then received another confirmation email stating that one item had not been cancelled. When I contacted customer service again, they informed me that because the order for that item had already been sent to the facility for preparation and I did not cancel within 10 minutes of the order confirmation, I could not cancel the item.

I was extremely frustrated with this experience and am not happy with the website at all. It is disappointing that their shipping information was not accurate and that their customer service was difficult to reach. I hope that they can improve their processes in the future to avoid similar issues for other customers.

MLB.com Shop Terrible Experience with MLB Fan Shop: Order Cancelled Three Times and Poor Customer Service

I tried to buy some cool shirts and a hat from the MLB fan shop, but I had a really tough time. I tried three times to place my order, but each time it was cancelled right away. I don't know why, because my card was fine and my address was correct. I even called customer service to ask what was going on, but they couldn't help me. They said the department that handles this kind of thing was out for the week, which was pretty frustrating. They gave me a ticket number and said someone would call me in a few days to help me out.

The next day, I went to fanatics.com, which is a sister website to MLB fan shop. I thought maybe I'd have better luck there. But nope, same thing happened. Nobody could tell me why my order was cancelled. I was getting pretty fed up at this point.

On the third day, I decided to try placing a phone order. It felt like I was ordering from a catalog from the 1980s or something! The guy on the phone was really nice and gave me a confirmation number right away. But then he said there was a problem with my address. He said it was coming up as fraudulent, which was really weird. I've ordered from lots of other websites without any problems at this address for over three years! He said he would talk to his manager and get back to me, but I never heard anything.

In the end, I only gave the guy who helped me on the phone one star. The rest of the MLB website gets a big fat zero from me. They run their website about as well as a team caught stealing signs!

MLB.com Shop Terrible Customer Service Experience with MLB.com Shop

I recently made a purchase on the MLB.com Shop website and opted for the 3-7 day shipping option. The website did mention that the item may not arrive by 12/24, which was okay with me as I didn't mind receiving it a day or two later. However, after I completed my order and paid for it, I was surprised to receive a page and email stating that my order would not be shipped until 1/7 and would not arrive until 1/16.

I tried calling the customer service number but was put on hold for 20 minutes before I hung up. The next day, I called again and spoke to a representative who informed me that since it was a drop ship item, there was nothing he could do and that I only had a 30-minute window to cancel my order. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was transferred to "Evett" who was based in Dallas, Texas.

Evett was extremely rude and seemed to be having a bad day. She spent more time talking over me and trying to educate me about things I already knew, rather than helping me cancel my order. She insisted that we wait for the item to arrive in January before returning it, instead of cancelling it altogether. After her condescending attitude and lecture, she said that she would have to submit a ticket to the manufacturer to cancel the order and that I should expect an email in 2-3 business days.

I must say that this was one of the worst customer experiences I've had with a well-known brand like MLB. Evett's customer service skills were a joke and she should not be in her role as a supervisor. On the other hand, the representative I spoke to earlier was overly apologetic and did everything he could to help me. However, the service center needs to seriously consider retraining or restructuring its supervisors and put more emphasis on quality customer service. As someone who runs a call center myself, I would never tolerate that kind of attitude from an employee representing my company's brand.

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with the MLB.com Shop and would think twice before making another purchase from them.

MLB.com Shop Disappointing Experience with mlb.com: Broken Merchandise and Poor Customer Service

I bought a SF Giants monster truck for my nephew's Christmas present from mlb.com. The package was opened and left aside for a few weeks. When my nephew finally got to play with it, he found out that the truck was broken. It was a huge disappointment for him and for me as well. I tried to contact mlb.com, but their chat was automated and it was a frustrating experience. Finally, I was able to speak to a representative on the phone. He was polite, but not very helpful. He told me that I couldn't return the truck because the original packaging was thrown away. I explained that the truck had never been used, but it didn't matter. I was told that it was outside the number of days that it was eligible for a return. I read on their website that I had 100 days to return it, but I was then told that I only had 30 days because I purchased it from a manufacturer direct site. I purchased it two days before the holiday season, which apparently was some arbitrary date set by mlb.com. So, because I didn't have the packaging, even though I had the order number and the order was clearly on my account, and because I purchased it two days early, I lost $50+. I was very disappointed with mlb.com. I have bought clothing from them before, and that has all been fine, but this experience makes me rethink ever purchasing from them again. Amazon is far better and you can get many of the same things from them. So, a huge thumbs down for mlb.com for taking my money and giving me broken merchandise that they will not take back.

MLB.com Shop MLB Shop Europe Review: Frustrating Experience with Broken Jersey and Incomplete Refund

I recently made a purchase from MLB.com Shop, specifically the European branch, and I have to say, it was not a great experience. I ordered a LA Dodgers jersey, which cost me 92,00, and paid an additional 7,93 for shipping. It took a few days before I received it, and I never received any notification on the status of my order. I was left in the dark, wondering when my item would arrive.

When it finally did arrive, I was disappointed to find that the sleeve was broken and there was a stain on the jersey. I couldn't accept this, so I contacted customer service to inquire about returning the item. They provided me with instructions, and I immediately shipped it back, which cost me an additional 15,00.

As this was my first time returning an item overseas, I wasn't sure what to expect. When I reached out to customer service to ask what to do next, all I received was a quote from their terms and conditions. It was frustrating, but I decided to wait and see what would happen.

After a few days, I received a notification from Paypal that MLB Shop Europe had refunded me the 92,00 for the jersey. However, they did not refund me the shipping costs, which I knew was required by European law. I contacted customer service again, and they told me it was being sent to their financial department. A few days later, I received another payment of 7,93.

It was clear that they were trying to avoid paying me the full refund I was entitled to. It's disappointing that a company would try to rip off their customers like this. I even believe that they should have reimbursed me for the additional shipping costs I incurred when returning the item, but they didn't even offer that.

In the end, I did receive a full refund, but it was a frustrating and time-consuming process. I learned my lesson and will not be ordering from MLB Shop Europe again. Instead, I found the same jersey on Ebay for a cheaper price and it was even the real deal. If you're considering ordering from MLB.com Shop, I would advise you to proceed with caution.

MLB.com Shop MLB.com Shop Review: Wrong Item Shipped Twice, Poor Customer Service, and Long Refund Process

I ordered a Detroit Tigers Authentic Ivan Rodriguez #7 White Home Jersey from MLB.com Shop on December 15th. I was so excited when a package arrived just in time for Christmas, but when I opened it, I was disappointed to find out that it was not the item I ordered. I called Customer Service to inform them of the mistake, but I never received the return label for the erroneous item. They promised to ship my order correctly between Dec 31st and Jan 11th.

On Jan 8th, I still had not received the label or the Jersey, so I called Customer Service again. The lady who took my call was very polite and said she would email the return label, which I received on Jan 10th. She also promised that I would receive my Ivan Rodriguez #7 Jersey by Jan 15th.

Today, on Jan 12th, I received a package from MLB.com Shops, and it was the same wrong item that was shipped to me the first time. So now I have two generic hooded sweatshirts to ship back to MLB.com Shops!

After opening this package and discovering that I had received the wrong item again, I called Customer Service for the third time. The agent was very polite and apologetic, but she informed me that the item I originally ordered was "Not In Stock" and could not be shipped. They will refund my credit card after I ship back both of these "Generic Hooded Sweatshirts". I wonder if it is commonplace for MLB.com Shop to ship undervalued "replacements" when they are "Out of Stock" on the desired item. Does MLB.com Shop even bother to check with their customers before making a substitution for this or any reason? What kind of service is that?

She also told me that it might take 2 days to email the 2nd label to me, another 10 days to process the return, and another 10 days for the refund to be issued to my credit card. Oh, did I mention those are business days? Which means that if I correct their mistake by shipping back this unattractive, unwanted, and un-ordered merchandise, I might get a refund in about a month from today. It surely didn't take them that long to take the $147.97 from my account when I originally placed my order!

One last thing, neither of the "Replacement Items" are the size that I originally ordered. In closing, I guess the lowest rating I can give is "One Star" so that is what they will get. They were very polite while totally screwing me over.

MLB.com Shop Terrible Customer Service Experience with MLB.com Shop

I recently made a purchase on the MLB.com Shop website for a sweatshirt that I needed for a World Series game in just five days. I paid extra for next day shipping to ensure that I would receive my merchandise on time. However, after two days had passed, I still hadn't received any confirmation of shipping. I decided to call the customer service team to inquire about my order. The representative informed me that the fulfillment center was backed up and that my order had not yet been shipped. I was frustrated and asked to speak to her supervisor. She put me on hold for a few minutes and then came back to tell me that her supervisor was too busy to speak with me. I continued to wait on hold and was eventually offered a $10 credit towards future purchases, which I declined as I just wanted my merchandise on time. I was then told that I would receive a full refund for my purchase and that my order would still be shipped once it was ready.

After three more days had passed, I still had not received any shipping confirmation. I called the customer service team again to inquire about the status of my order and refund. This time, the representative informed me that my shipping cost had been credited, but my purchase cost had not. She also confirmed that my order had not yet been shipped. I asked to speak to her supervisor, but was told that they were unavailable. I decided to cancel my entire order at this point, but was not given a cancellation number.

Overall, my experience with the MLB.com Shop was a nightmare. I wasted at least an hour on the phone with customer service representatives who lied to me and supervisors who refused to speak with me. I was not given any confirmation numbers for anything that was promised to me over the phone. I will likely have to dispute the charges on my credit card. I strongly advise against shopping at the MLB.com Shop due to their deplorable service.

MLB.com Shop Terrible Customer Service and Delivery Delays: My Experience with MLB.com Shop

This website is not recommended for shopping. I recently purchased a jacket that I had seen on another website. Both websites stated that the item would be delivered within 3 to 5 business days. I chose to purchase from MLB.com Shop because I needed the jacket within 14 days. However, when I received the email confirmation, it stated that the expected delivery date was over 30 days away. I was confused and immediately tried to cancel the order online, but was unsuccessful. I then called customer service and spoke to a representative who was also confused about the delivery date. He tried to contact the warehouse, but was unable to do so. I requested that he cancel the order, but he was unable to do so and transferred me to a supervisor. I waited on hold for 10 minutes before speaking to the supervisor. She informed me that orders could only be cancelled within 30 minutes of placing the order. This was not mentioned on the website and I had been on hold for over 20 minutes. I was 5 minutes past the 30-minute cancellation window because of their delay. When I expressed my frustration and asked that they disclose this information on the website, they simply stated that it was not their responsibility. This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I should have ordered from Amazon instead.

MLB.com Shop Misleading Product: Houston Astros Carlos Correa Jersey from MLB.com Shop

I bought a "Houston Astros 2015 Cool Base Carlos Correa Jersey" from MLB.com Shop on July 2, 2015. I was so excited to get my hands on it, but unfortunately, it was back-ordered. I had to wait for a long time, and on July 23, I decided to cancel my order. I had to listen to a recording before I could talk to someone, and it said that the estimated ship date was in August. Finally, I was able to speak to a customer service representative, and she said that she could request a cancellation, but if it had already shipped, it couldn't be canceled. I wasn't worried because the ship date was still over a week away. However, that very evening, I received an email letting me know that it had shipped.

When the jersey arrived, my husband noticed that some things didn't look quite right. I was so disappointed! I emailed customer service, and they informed me that I had bought a replica. A replica! Nowhere did it state that the product was a replica. Not in the title, nor in the description, which I copied and pasted to them. I was so upset because I had overpaid for it. I would urge anyone not to buy from MLB.com Shop because you may not be getting what you think you are, and you will overpay for it. I saw the same jersey on other sites that actually stated they were replicas, and they were only $86.89, but I paid $109.00. UGH!

MLB.com Shop Poor Quality and Customer Service: My Experience with MLBshop.com

I bought a baseball jersey from MLBshop.com and at first glance, it seemed fine. But then I noticed that some of the letters on the back were just ironed on and not stitched, which made the personalization look silly. To make matters worse, the team logo on the left sleeve was missing. I reached out to them to fix the issue and they initially said they would send a replacement jersey. However, after several emails and no jersey, they asked me to send pictures of the problem. Once I did that, they only offered a refund, which was not what I wanted. I was disappointed that MLBshop.com did not stand by their claim that customer satisfaction is their priority. The quality assurance is very poor and they don't seem to care whether or not you get what you ordered. I would not recommend ordering from MLBshop.com.

MLB.com Shop Misleading Return Policy: My Experience with MLB.com Shop

I ordered a Colorado Rockies Hoodie from MLB.com Shop on December 18th, 2016 for my nephew's Christmas present. It was a plain hoodie with the team logo, and there were no additional charges for customizing. The website promised that it would arrive on time, and it did. However, when my nephew tried it on Christmas morning, it was too small for him. I was disappointed, but I knew that the website had a 60 Day Hassle Free Returns policy, so I decided to return the hoodie and order a larger size.

I made sure that all the tags were still on the hoodie and returned it to the website. Unfortunately, they were out of stock of the size I needed, so I had to order a more expensive one. I didn't mind paying a little extra, as long as my nephew got the hoodie he wanted.

On January 14th, 2017, I received a message from the website saying that they had received my order back, but they would not credit me back because it was a customized order and a worn/used item. They also claimed that I had not returned it within the return policy time frame. I was shocked and confused, as the hoodie I had purchased had no customizing, all the tags were attached, and I had returned it within 30 days. I didn't have the hoodie anymore, so I couldn't prove that it was in good condition when I returned it. I wish I had taken a picture of it before I sent it back, as it might have helped me fight against being swindled out of my money.

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with MLB.com Shop. The website promised hassle-free returns, but when I tried to return an item, they refused to give me my money back. I would caution anyone who is thinking about ordering from this website to be careful and make sure they read the return policy carefully.

MLB.com Shop Terrible Experience with MLB.com Shop: Incorrect Custom Jersey and Poor Customer Service

I recently made a purchase from MLB.com Shop (shop.mlb.com) for a custom jersey that I planned to give as a Christmas present. I ordered the jersey a month and a half in advance to ensure that it would arrive on time. However, when I received the jersey, I was disappointed to find that the name on the back was spelled incorrectly. The spelling was so off that it didn't even make sense. I double-checked my original order and confirmed that I had entered the name correctly, so it was clearly a manufacturing error.

I immediately contacted the customer service department to explain the situation and request a replacement. I emphasized that the jersey was intended as a Christmas present and that I needed it to be corrected as soon as possible. The representative I spoke with assured me that I would be contacted via email the following Wednesday. However, when Wednesday came and went without any communication from the company, I decided to call them back on Thursday to follow up.

To my frustration, the representative I spoke with told me that it was still within their timeframe to reach out and that I would need to be patient. I waited until Monday to see if I would receive any updates, but when I finally did get an email, it was from someone who clearly struggled with writing proper English sentences. The email informed me that they could not replace my product and that I would need to send it back for a refund. MLB.com Shop Poor Service and Misleading Product: My Experience with MLB.com Shop

I recently made a purchase from MLB.com Shop on July 5th. Unfortunately, it took over three weeks for my order to arrive. When I finally received my shirt, I was disappointed to see that it had an ugly pattern on it that wasn't visible in the online photos. I immediately went through the process to return it, but was surprised to see that it would cost me $10 to do so.

After waiting for some time, I received a notice on August 1st that my return had been received and that I would receive an update and refund confirmation within 72 hours. However, 10 days later, I still hadn't received any updates. I had to call customer service to get them to issue the refund. Unfortunately, the automated system disconnected me the first time as I was getting transferred to a human.

I tried to use the chat option, but it was disabled even though it was supposed to be available 8 AM ET - 9 PM ET, 7 days a week. I couldn't find an email address, so I thought about tweeting them. However, their Twitter account, which they still promote online and in emails, stopped producing tweets in 2017.

Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the service I received from MLB.com Shop. The experience was a joke, and I will never order from them again. I believe that MLB can do better and find a different service provider. I even told them how poor my experience was, but they didn't seem to care and didn't offer any apologies.

MLB.com Shop MLB.com Shop's Customer Service Frustrates and Disappoints in Custom Jersey Order Mishap

I recently had an experience with MLB.com Shop that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I accidentally ordered a replica custom Yankees away jersey and immediately called the store to cancel the order and upgrade to an authentic jersey. This process could take up to 10 days to complete, meaning that by the time I received my refund and ordered the correct jersey, the MLB season would be over.

I asked to speak with a supervisor to better understand why I couldn't cancel my order while it was still processing. The representative informed me that all custom jerseys were final from the moment I placed the order and accepted the terms and conditions. I explained that the jersey I ordered had a player's name and number on it, not my own, and that I had selected it from a list provided by the store. However, the representative reiterated that the rules were the rules and that the jersey was still considered custom.

Feeling frustrated and unsatisfied with the response I received, I expressed my disappointment and stated that I would likely not do business with MLB.com Shop again. The representative's response was less than sympathetic, simply stating "oh well" in a dismissive manner.

Overall, my experience with MLB.com Shop left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. While I understand that rules and policies are in place for a reason, I feel that the store could have been more accommodating and understanding of my situation. As a result, I am hesitant to do business with them in the future.
