I ordered a CD from MOVIEMARS.com through Amazon.com on March 9, 2009 I was sent an email letting me know it was shipped out on [protected] as of [protected] I still have not received my item. After about 7- 10 days I emailed them to let them know that I have not received my item & was told it was on it's way, after about 3 days I emailed again & was told it was on its way and to continue tracking it on UPS innovations with my tracking number as of [protected] there has been nothing done with the item that so called went through UPS innovations. Now I can't get anyone to respond to my emails at all, UPS gave me a number to call but come to find out it was a bogus number. However, I do put part blame on amazon.com because they should be more vigilante on who their being affiliated with. I have requested a refund to no avail nothing.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Did it ever arrive or get refunded?
Margaret, obviously the problem is you. MovieMars is an eBay powerseller with a 99.2% feedback rating. I have placed several orders with them and received all the products I ordered quickly and in excellent condition. In fact, some DVDs were in better condition than advertised. You have no right defaming this company based on one lousy transaction.
I agree with Laura B. I have had GREAT experiences with movie mars and it is ashame that this is the first thing that pops up when you google "moviemars". This company is excellent and always offer the lowest prices. My orders have ALWAYS arrived in great condition. I highly recommend them to anyone!
I ordered a cd from moviemars which has not yet arrived after several weeks.I enquired as to estimated arrival date and at first was happy to hear it would be on its way soon.
However, I then got e-mail from them yesterday saying order had been cancelled as requested by me but I did NOT cancel it.Tried resolving problem through e-bay but due to person trying to help having poor English I then decided to e-mail moviemars directly.
I 've now had two e-mails stating my e-mails failed to send. What on earth do I do now?
Ok, 99.2% doesnt mean anything. I disagree with one of the above posts. Why would you say its the costomers' fault that The company messed up, no, thats the company's fault. I got a bad order from Movie mars inc with amazon as well. Ordered a cd from Korn, they sent me a different cd from korn, plus the plastic container was broken. This is the only website I posted a complain, cause im not trying to make it all big. But that is the last time I order from Movie mars inc. No big deal, you win some you lose some.
I too am having an issue with MovieMars. Ordered two movies on Sept 1 through Amazon; was told that they BOTH shipped on Sept 4. Received the first one on Sept 7, and have not received the second one. Despite several attempts to contact them for a refund, they keep stonewalling me and telling me to "wait a couple more days". Now they are refusing to respond to emails at all. Tomorrow I file a chargeback with my bank for the total amount of the order. Do I feel entitled to a refund for both movies? At this point, you betcha. The time involved in contacting them is worth money.
Laura B, are you the same customer service representative named Laura B who sent me a boilerplate response email from MovieMars regarding my undelivered items? Seems like you are an EMPLOYEE of MovieMars. This is one sad sorry excuse for a company; they hire people to go around to these complaint boards to try to nullify legitimate complaints by posting positive things about the lying thieves they work for. You must go through a lot of soap trying to get clean after a day of work...
I paid for expedited shipping and they took my money and sent it the regular way anyways. it took 10 day for them to ship. I work in shipping and I know how long it should take. no more then 5 days.
Melissa12345 - Movie Mars is HANDS DOWN THE WORST COMPANY I have EVER dealt with, so NO the problem is YOU and Movie Mars. Movie Mars has fake BS feedback people who post completely made up positive feedback about them. They do it all day on amazon with fake names just to try to hide the negative feedback about what a horrible company they are.
To anyone reading this... NEVER buy from Movie Mars. They send out bogus DVD's from other countries that will not play in your DVD player. Then when you try to get a refund they ignore you. If you call them they are out right horrible to you over the phone. Just google 'Movie Mars' and you will find thousands of complaints. They have an F rating with the better business bureau and higher rate of complaints than 99% of their pier businesses. People on their Ebay never get the items they pay for, and Movie Mars ignores them completely. People on Amazon get piece of junk foreign copies of blank discs and movie mars tries to blame the customer! They have been doing this for years and they do it intentionally. DO NOT GIVE MOVIE MARS A FREAKIN' PENNY.
If you want the truth about this company... read their complaints on Ebay:

I get the distinct feeling that these folks are selling used items as new. The first two Cd's I bought had cracked cases and the 3rd (and final) one I just got had a broken spindle on the inside along with the top of the CD being marred.
I recently made a purchase from MovieMars via Amazon.com. The item was an SACD Box set which was supposed to be new. What I received was a damaged box ... not only on the outside but also on the inside of the box. The item was obviously previously used. One of the discs was damaged and skipped terribly. Packaging was flimsy bubble wrap. The item was not even boxed and all corners of the box set box were damaged ... likely during delivery. Upon contacting MovieMars I received only a form letter. My questions and concerns were not addressed. I then did a search of MovieMars and found some rather disturbing information from many who have had bad experiences with purchases and with returns. Several wrote that they had returned items for exchange or refund and received no exchange and/or no refund. I have also written to Amazon about this. At this time I am reluctant to return my item as I fear the same fate will happen to me. Both MovieMars and Amazon have lost me as a customer.
look im not wanting to complain i accidently ordered from you on ebay its my first time but i didnt pay cause i dnt want it it was a mistake so i need u to remove it in order for me to shop on ebay its stuck on there till i pay now i have called and noones there i even wrote a few emails an all you di was ask me to pay it but i dont want so will you please take it off on there so i can continue shoppin.i would of gladly bought it from you but i ordered too many of the same movies it was a mistake im very sorry for that so please remove it from there i dont want to buy it again i apologize for my mistake and any misunderstanding thank you
After a number of E-mails and phone calls, it turns out that Moviemars.com buys from other distributors (Re: Alpha Video for one) bumps the price then resells them. I too have received numerous moviemars.com and redmarket.com purchases with cracked and/or broken cases, broken spindles and obviously re-packaged cellophane wrappers.
Their selection isn't all that they make it out to be. They are vehemently and strongly against the idea if packaging multi-DVD items and/ or combining shipping charges (Re: The Untouchables / 12 O'Clock High) inorder to make the overall purchase more appealing to the customer. "ENOUGH SAID"
I will be terminating my association with Moviemars.com and Redmarket.com "VERY SOON"
" Like Tommorrow"
Probably the "Good Reviews" / and comments are probably from one of those like "Defender" sites that try to mask the truth. I also purchsed DVDs from MOVIEMARS.COM and 2 of the 3 movies I purchased we obviously used and ai very poor shape. The DVDs wouldn't even stay in the case properly as the center hole holding device was very worn and broned from so many removals / put backs. The DVD cases were not even sealed... another sign the DVDs were used. I'd find another store that ships new products when they say they will.
I agree that Movie Mars is HORRIBLE. They sent me a Blu-Ray version of "El Cid" that only plays in Region B (Africa and Europe). I believe (and agree with others) that Movie Mars purposefully victimizes its customers and sends out defective and used products. Amazon.com certainly KNOWS about these problems but is just in it to make $$$. MOVIE MARS IS DISHONEST.
They are the worst company going, as a small business owner myself they make every good company look amazing toward their standard of being down right dishonest. I pre-ordered Star Trek Into The Darkness Blu-ray through them on EBAY they say pre-order it today get it by date of it's release. Well it's way past the release date and they haven't even shipped it yet. They just now sent shipping information to USPS. They explained to me that It was in NJ the state I live in but, of course I can't be since they never shipped it out. The company is based in NC run by no other than a Dr. they pull in almost 80 grand a year by duping people into buying their products. Also they provided me with a totally wrong tracking number when I asked what's the hold up. They even blocked me for taking action against them on EBAY and through PayPal. This just sums up this company- ###, dishonest crooks stay far away from them. I'm going to Best Buy and pick up Star Trek and demand a refund from Movie Mars and they never will get my business ever again.

As some of you know, my uncle was MIA and presumed dead in Korea In 1951. He was only 17 years old. The family was given his Congressional Medal of Honor due to his actions that saved his platoon. We are loaning out our dedication picture of him that the Newport News Ship Builders made to the VFW so more people can learn of his heroic act while serving his country. Here are a few pics before it goes to get restored. Charles L. Gilliland
I wrote to MovieMars at Amazon because they have the second book of my uncle. I requested a free or discounted Price so I could have more info on my uncle as I am to speak at this function.
Their reply Hi,
All prices are as listed. We are unable to offer free products.
