Capturing Memories with Mpix: A Personal Touch
As someone who cherishes every moment captured through photographs, my experience with Mpix has been a blend of delight and disappointment. The quality of the prints and photo books is truly astonishing, reflecting the care and expertise put into each creation. The metallic prints are a standout, exuding a vibrancy that brings memories to life. The fast shipping is commendable, ensuring that your precious moments are in your hands swiftly. However, the journey is not without its bumps. Customer service, often the lifeline of any business, seems to falter at times, leaving customers stranded in a sea of dissatisfaction. The lack of phone support can be frustrating, especially when seeking immediate assistance. Despite these challenges, the commitment to quality shines through, making Mpix a worthy companion in preserving your treasured memories.
Awesome customer service
I ordered some picture books for my mom, the pictures were from my wedding and she was so excited to get them. When they were set for delivery they did not show up at her house and she was heartbroken thinking that someone had stole them. She contacted UPS and they said it would take 8-10 days to "look in" to the issue. That pretty much told us that they weren't going to do anything. I contacted Mpix and without question they said they would immediately reprint and send new books as soon as possible! I was thrilled. It turns out that the original books showed up at my mom's house, they were delivered to the wrong house on the wrong street... I guess UPS has trouble reading addresses. I cancelled the new order, but thank you so much for the excellent customer service and quick response!
Placed order and received it the next day!
I wanted to create a mini accordion picture book for my mom to carry around with her as she was just diagnosed with cancer. I wasn't sure how it would turn out; some of my pictures were flagged on the site as low quality (but I didn't have any higher res ones so I went ahead and used them).
I selected Expedited Shipping to hopefully get my order before Christmas (placed the order on 12/14 in the morning). To my delight the photo book was shipped the SAME DAY and arrived to me on 12/15!
I didn't realize that the book covers would have magnets on them either, so I am very pleased with the quality of the product thus far and the prints were fabulous. Even the low-res pictures are still nice! I am very excited to give my mom her gift this Christmas so she can carry around with her pictures of all her happy and motivating moments so she can beat her cancer. Thank you Mpix!
Mpix is INCREDIBLE
I ordered the same 8x10 prints from my local Walgreens and from Mpix, to see if there really was a quality difference, and OH MY GOD. The difference in quality is ridiculous. I'm a portrait photographer, and I picked up my portrait prints from Walgreens first. Upon seeing them, I almost cried-- they were such a poor representation of my work. The contrast and color was completely off, the skin tones were bright red-- it was a complete and utter mess. I had ordered through Mpix for two-day shipping, and the following day after receiving my Walgreens order, my order from Mpix was sitting on my doorstep-- that is some lightning fast service, and literally no processing time. When I saw the Mpix prints, I had the biggest sigh of relief and validation-- THAT is the way my photos are supposed to look. I will be recommending Mpix from here on out to every single one of my future portrait customers, and will be ordering exclusively from them, myself, here on out.
Fantastic Quality, Super Turnaround Time
I have ordered images from most of the online services, and MPIX quality is, in my opinion, the best that I have found. I only use the metallic paper with the luster finish for my prints, so I wouldn't be able to comment on the economy printing. The price is very fair in my opinion, not the cheapest, but cheaper than you would expect for the quality. I am a semi-professional photographer and do all of my own post processing, so I am not really interested in a lot of features on their website. I guess I can see how some people might not be completely satisfied with the site, as it is not as intuitive as some sites, but for my purposes it is easy to upload images and purchase prints.
In a nutshell, my review is based, not upon the website, but upon the quality of the work that they do as well as the turnaround time. To be able to place an order on Monday and get the images on Wednesday morning is fantastic. With expedited shipping at $12.59 I don't see how anyone could complain about that. I would not hesitate to recommend them to my closest friends and family...
Mpix vs. Walgreens Photo Books
Had photos of Colorado high mountain scenery from a backpacking trip. The camera was a compact, high quality, waterproof.
Decided to make an album at Walgreens. The album came back out of order, but they corrected this. The printing and paper quality were disappointing. Not just the picture quality, but there were lines through the pages like the printer was having problems.
So we tried Mpix... Right off the bat, we noticed that Mpix was not as user friendly to arrange photos. But with some practice, we could accomplish what we wanted. The price was higher with Mpix, but not out of sight (we ordered the highest quality photo paper).
Then we received the album! WOW! The photos jumped off the page at you. The color and clarity was stunning. We stitched some panoramic pictures together, which had slightly different resolution and exposure. Mpix printed them on one sheet of paper with uniform resolution and brightness. The personal touch was obvious!
So even with the higher cost we give 5 stars, because we rate for finished product. Anxious to try their other products!
Cannot wait to line my walls with these beautiful prints!
I am that person that has to do research on multiple companies before I pull the trigger, on anything really. It was nothing short of that when trying to choose a company to print my professionally taken family pictures. I went to Walmart to have a few printed to see if the color would stay true, definitely not. They turned out dark, grainy and colors were extremely dull. I ended up only keeping 3 out of 18 printed pictures! So then after hearing from a couple friends having used ShutterFly and SnapFish I turned my research to those. There were horrible reviews for both, which obviously turned me away. I started asking friends on FaceBook and someone mentioned MPix, so I checked the reviews. They were significantly better than ShutterFly or SnapFish. So I ordered!
I got 55 4x6's and 2 8x12's. I had them color correct them and they were perfect! I paid $31.36 shipped. Their shipping was surprisingly quick! I ordered them late Sunday evening and received them that Friday.
So, if you're like me and looking for reviews to help you make your decision? Look no further. Order from MPix.com! You will not be disappointed!

Wedding guestbook
We had a wedding guestbook made and on the front cover we wanted our first and last names with our wedding date.
Book arrives today and it has our first names and only 2 letters of my last name. Who thought this is what we intended to do? Why would you cut off someone’s last name? Contacted them the same day it was delivered and they said that’s how the book was sent to the printer and they won’t do any remake. Offered a 50% code to buy a new book. After many emails they upped it to a 75% code. My wedding is in 10 days, it takes 3-4 days to make. Their “supervisor” may email me in 3 business days. Avoid this company at all costs. Go work with Shutterfly or any other photobook service.
Save yourself the headache!
Claimed loss: 100$
Desired outcome: Remake the guestbook with just our first names

I sent them vibrant, highly saturated photos
I sent them vibrant, highly saturated photos. They printed dull, lifeless, washed out photos with highly lacking contrast, color depth, and color saturation. Details also seemed to be blurred in the pictures. To say the prints are lack luster would be an understatement. Comparing them to my prints at other labs the difference was night and day.
After a useless back and forth email session with various customer service reps popping out of the woodwork (they have no phone number), I decided it wasn't worth wasting any more time trying. Even after sending several comparison snapshots that looked dramatically different from the originals, I was told they could see no difference, and to check the calibration on my monitor... Prints don't lie, and I have printed from many, many labs. None have been this poor.
In a crunch for time (I'd had my Mpix prints shipped 1 day delivery) I printed from a local drugstore... and got great results. I guess that's the silver lining of this horrendous experience. Now I'm debating whether or not to return the photos, as I'm guessing it will only amount to more hassle. Actually, I know it will be more hassle. They don't cover the cost of return shipping, and also don't accept returns on 4x6 prints. You still have to return them though if you want to get a refund on the rest of your prints and original shipping. Oh, but they offered me a 50 percent discount on color correction... oh joy.
In summation: lifeless and flat prints for some of the highest prices I've seen. Customer service did nothing but try to convince me that I was the one with the problem. Should have read some of the more recent reviews that talk about a decline in quality and saturation. I was lead to order based on the older more positive reviews. I will avoid this lab like the plague and would suggest the same to you.
What the Heck Happened?!
I did a lot of research in trying to find a new company from which to order 4 by 6 prints, read many reviews, and MPIX sounded like a good one to try. I have 100's of pictures taken on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to New York City, all of which are of high quality and taken with my excellent camera, but wanted to test the waters before jumping into the deep end. Having read all the fine print regarding the company's "Color Correction" option... including the fact that it is to some degree subjective and dependent on the way a certain person perceives an image, I decided to start by ordering the same 20 prints with and without this option and then make a decision on how to order the rest. Okay first the (only) good thing... turnaround time was good. (They came by USPS.) And now on to the rest. In the middle of our bad weather season, right before Christmas when a huge amount of mail is being handled, my prints came in rather flimsy cardboard mailers without any indication on the outside that photos were enclosed, "Do Not Bend", or anything to that end. Inside they was no piece of cardboard to protect the photos, and when I tried to removed one set from the mailer I discovered that it was literally "crammed" in to such an extent that many of that set were "bent". There is no way that this damage could have happened without someone having handled the prints very roughly when they put them into the mailer. Next I noticed that there was no indication of which set of prints had been "Color Corrected", but for one brief moment I believed that this should become very obvious in no time... not so at all! In both sets of prints there are ones where the quality is absolutely horrible and in no way reflects the quality of the photos I took of a vibrant, very colorful Times Square. In both sets there are some that are ridiculously dark, some that are blurry, some strangely colored. Bottom line... WHAT A MESS! I don't even know where to begin in dealing with it, but I can't even imagine using MPIX to print my very precious photos.

website
Love the products and quality, but the website needs work. I cannot select all of my pictures and make them metallic? I have to do this individually? Even if I am doing something wrong... This process shouldn't be this difficult to figure out! It is not the easiest photo website to maneuver, in fact, I hate it. The only reason I continue to use the site is because of the products, but as soon as I find equally good photos I will be switching!
what a disappointment!
I regret I sent money on this.
To many people it isn't a big deal, it's one of those problems that can be resolved sooner or later, but nothing to do, I felt bad anyway.
I used them for the first time (and the last time for sure). Uploaded our wedding photos that looked marvelous on the website. However, when we got them, the photos looked like they were printed on a toilet paper with the lowest quality in the world.
I was very disappointed :( If they had said that our photos are not suitable we would just have chosen a different resolution and that's all...
terrible quality
Ordered photo printing from www.mpix.com and when I received my order I was very disappointed with the quality. Photos were terrible!
These photos were made by a professional photographer, but they looked like they were taken on phone camera!
I contacted customer service and asked their phone number to discuss the situation and they refused to give me one and said they do not speak with their customer via phone!
And of course they refused to give me a refund.
they haven't returned my photos
5 weeks ago I sent my photos for printing to the company www.mpix.com. I was told that the printing would take 2 days and the delivery about 5 days. I waited 2 weeks and nothing. The seller replied to my first email and told that they had a lot of work, so they needed more time. However, I heard the same excuse within couple of weeks. They ripped me off, and I only asked to return my photos. Don’t trust these guys and don’t pay them.
