Mr. Cooper has been force placing flood insurance that they know that I have through my HOA’s master policy and have had for 5 years. Each and every year, upon renewal the declaration pages are provided to them immediately. The condo was purchased in 2001 and theyve known, and reasonably should have known the insurande is in place. I have to speak to customer service, no exaggerating monthly, in which I’m passed around to at least 3 different reps and they all request it be resent which Ive done to email addresses provided by the CSR’s, but also by uploading the information in their portal, which generates and email sating they’ve recived it and all is well, until they continue to deduct funds for, you guessed it, flood insurance. This year, our management company was proactive and had each resident complete a form so that they could provide the information directly to Mr. Cooper, is sent proof just to be sure, and the management company called them direct as well. Guess what, a month later, they deducted over $1500. It is unconscionable. More outrageous, each time I attempt to get it resolved, the CSR tries to talk me into refinancing, I’ve had my mortgage since 2001, I don’t owe very much on it, and they want me to refinance at these interest rates? They were just sued for $90 million for kickbacks from Assurant, yet in November of 2022, on my monthly call the CSR said they paid Assurant for flood insurance with the funds deducted in March of that year for over $1000, again. This lawsuit was for loans during [protected], I guess the kickbacks were greater than $90 million because they continue to do it, it is shocking to say the least. Currently, they owe me greater than $4000, and a CSR who was going to explain where this money ended up, was on the phone with me for 3 hours, and she couldn’t figure it out! The bright side is we discovered the escrow deducted for taxes was over what my tax bill is, by about $500 or so a year. While I really don’t mind a little overage, the money is gone and she couldn’t figure out where it was allocated to. Mr. Cooper/ Nationstar is a predatory lender and they’ve harmed so many people I cannot imagine, They have paid some other persons flood insurance with my money, I do know that so maybe they’re paying other people’s taxes with my money. They are in violation of so much, it’s time to get legal counsel.
Desired outcome: I’d like my money back with interest.
