Stay Away from MyGermany.com: Fraudulent Company that Fakes Positive Reviews and Doesn't Deliver Purchases
I very recently gave mygermany.com a try for shipping some products I had ordered online. I had read a lot of good things about them online, but boy was I wrong! Turns out, all those laudatory reviews are mostly paid for or fake - mygermany pays online marketers lots of money to give them positive ratings and reviews, and it's all a sham!
Anyway, I had already sent my purchases to them in the hopes that they would forward them to me as promised. But guess what? They stopped communicating with me the moment I became their customer and haven't responded to any of my emails since then. This is exactly the same experience as a lot of other reviewers have had, and I should have been wary of such a situation.
It's only because I wrote to them before signing up that they replied, perhaps to get me to fall into their trap. Tragically, I've now lost thousands of dollars worth of electronic products because of this fraudulent company. It's been a whole month since I've heard from them, and they seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth.
This review is intended as a warning, so no one else has to fall into the same trap as I have. I don't want anyone else to lose their hard-earned money like I did. Stay safe, folks!
Disappointing Experience with MyGermany: Misleading Shipping Prices and Poor Website Design
I have to say, I was really disappointed with MyGermany. Shipping prices are absolutely killer. I mean, seriously. A small little package to another EU country is going to set you back a whopping 50 euros at the cheapest. And that's without insurance. That's not what they display on their site either. They make it seem like it's only going to be around 25 euros, but that's so misleading. It's just not fair to lure people in with that kind of false advertising.
And then there's the website. Ugh. Don't even get me started. It's such a mess. It's like they didn't even consider what it would be like for someone to use it. I mean, there's no undo option if you accidentally click the wrong thing. Who does that? It's just poor design all around.
I understand that people may have different opinions, but in my professional opinion, the UX could use some serious work. It's hard to use and incredibly frustrating. Even a manual wouldn't help at this point.
But let's go back to the shipping prices for a second. They're so high that I decided to do a little experiment. I ran over 10 simulations with different dimensions, weight, and cost of my parcels, just to see if they would even come close to the advertised 50 euros. None of them did. None. That just makes me so mad. It's incredibly misleading and absolutely unacceptable.
On top of it all, the responses from MyGermany to negative reviews like mine are just baffling. Instead of taking the feedback seriously and trying to improve their service, they just come across as bullies. I mean, seriously? Use that time and money to listen to your customers and improve the shipping calculator, not to argue with people who are just stating their experiences.

MyGermany is an excellent international shipment service based in Germany, and I am very happy with their service. There are many good reasons to choose this website, and I will outline some of the pros and cons based on my experience.
One of the best things about MyGermany is that they keep up with all my questions and requirements. Their customer service is top-notch, and they are always there to help me with anything I need. In addition, the delivery condition of their articles is always good, and the delivery cost is reasonable. I also love the fact that they offer drop shipment, which makes things fast and easy for me.
One of the reasons I chose drop shipment is that the article was sent out very quickly. The item I ordered was received by Mygermany on August 25th, and I did the payment on the 26th. The express pick up of the item was made on the 27th, which is amazing.
Another great feature of MyGermany is that they offer refunds on delivery costs and can help me return an item for free with a reasonable reason. I also appreciate that their customer service reps have a very good attitude, and I would like to give a special shoutout to Johanna for all her help.
Of course, there are some cons to MyGermany's service, but they are not deal breakers for me. For example, their customer service reply times could be a little faster. Normally, I only get a reply after one working day, which is fine but not ideal. I understand that the COVID-19 situation has made things harder for everyone, so I'm willing to be patient. Additionally, their system doesn't always automatically calculate discounts on delivery costs, but they always refund me immediately, which is great.

Poor communication and delay - My negative experience with MyGermany
I recently decided to give MyGermany a try and I must say, my experience was not the best. I had ordered some PC speakers from a German eBay website and decided to commission the service through MyGermany. I had placed two orders on Friday, May 15th and Monday, May 18th and promptly paid using PayPal. After receiving receipts from both PayPal and MyGermany stating that my payment has been processed, I expected prompt updates regarding the purchase.
However, after patiently waiting for several days without any communication from MyGermany, I decided to contact them to inquire about the status of my purchase. To my horror, I was told that the payment from PayPal to MyGermany was still pending, despite the fact that I had received receipts from both parties stating that the payment had been processed. I was taken aback by this response and decided to send proof of payment to MyGermany, hoping that this would prompt them to update me on the status of my purchase.
Sadly, I did not receive any further communication from MyGermany and to make matters worse, the PC speakers I had been interested in got sold out due to the delay. As I speak, I remain disappointed by the slow and poor response from MyGermany, and this has left me with no option but to leave a negative review.
I have since researched further on the services of MyGermany and have seen that this is not the first time customers have experienced this type of poor responsive service from the company. It looks like MyGermany is in the habit of falsely blaming PayPal for their lack of capacity and poor responsiveness, which is quite unfair to PayPal and the customers.
In conclusion, I would not recommend using MyGermany's services if you value prompt updates, honesty and effective communication.

My first time trying out MyGermnay was when I was looking to purchase some items from Europe and ship them all the way to Israel. Can I just say how wonderful the team at MyGermany was in making this happen? It was a glorious sight to see them go out of their way to fulfill all of my requirements! I was elated by their attention to detail and how responsive they were to my queries. They treated me with respect and helped me get what I wanted no matter the cost. I had read some positive reviews about MyGermany, and I decided to give them a try. Although it took a little while for them to reply to my inquiries through email, I attributed that to the current COVID-19 situation and the difference in time zones. But once I got in touch with their customer service, I felt much better about placing my order.
I opted to use their concierge service, which made the entire process much easier for me. All I had to do was provide them with the link to the item I wanted to purchase, pay their small fee, and they took care of the rest. What's more, they even sent me pictures of the item before I confirmed the payment for its shipment to the US. This gave me peace of mind knowing that the item I was receiving was exactly what I wanted.
Shipping was fast and smooth from the seller in Germany to the MyGermany warehouse, as well as from the warehouse to my doorstep in the US. However, the only delay I experienced was with the processing time once they received the item at their warehouse. It took over a week before anything was done to it, but I understand that they deal with a lot of products and perhaps have a limited number of staff to fulfill demands.
In total, it took about three weeks from when I first paid for the item to when it finally arrived at my door undamaged. Overall, I am extremely pleased that I chose MyGermany to help me get the product I wanted. While their response time and processing time could be improved, their customer service and shipping services were top-notch.

I recently bought a stunning chef's knife from a shop in Germany, but they couldn't ship it to Australia where I live. My usual American forwarding Company had a warehouse in Austria for all European countries, so I decided to use them. On the checkout page, the prices were outrageous, so I did some extensive research and came across myGermany. Their prices, services, and reviews were all top-notch, so I joined up and had my knife shipped there instead of the one in Austria.
When I went through the checkout process, I was shocked at the increase in price compared to what I had calculated using their calculator. I was so annoyed and disgruntled by the high price that I wrote a letter of complaint to myGermany. Thankfully, I received a prompt email from Chris, the CEO.
Chris's email stood out as the best and most sincere apology I have ever received or read anywhere in the world! It was clear that it came from a genuine and honest place. Chris explained that it was only a clerical error in the system and that the low price I had hoped to pay was indeed correct. He also reassured me that their team opens parcels when they receive them to condense them and make them more compact, which results in lower prices for customers. Honestly, who does that?! Only myGermany!
Chris was quick to halt the shipping process and amend the correct low price. I have used many domestic and international shipping companies globally, including forwarding companies, and I can confidently say that myGermany is the best I have encountered. They are the benchmark for others to follow! Despite starting as a small family company, under the leadership of CEO Chris, they have risen above the competition.

Disappointed with myGermany's Customer Service: A Review
Hey myGermany,
I gotta say, I'm disappointed. I sent you my package three weeks ago and since then, I've been waiting for you to give me the green light to redirect it to my address. Your customer service asked me to upload some documents to Dropbox, which I promptly did on November 5th. But here I am, November 13th, and still no update.
It's frustrating because you guys are supposed to be the cream of the crop when it comes to forwarding services in Germany. I didn't expect something as simple as checking a few screenshots and PDFs to take weeks. To top it off, one of your customer service agents (Lisa) promised me that things would be sorted out ASAP. Obviously, that didn't happen.
I get it, I'm not your only customer. But after three weeks (and counting) of waiting, I feel like I'm being ignored. If someone in the higher-ups is reading this, please do something about it. I'm at the point where I'm considering driving to Weimar in person to sort this out. The road from Szczecin to Weimar isn't exactly short, but I'm desperate.
If I hear one more excuse about viruses or employees taking vacation time, I'm gonna lose it. You guys have my personal data and a package that's worth a lot of money to my company. The last thing I want to do is escalate this to court, so please, get your act together.

MyGermany Review: False Claims, Hidden Prices, Unnecessary Repackaging, and Slow Service
MyGermany is a shipping and package forwarding service that claims to receive your parcels at your virtual German shipping address, won't check or repack, and will directly forward it to the customer. However, this statement is not true as I experienced otherwise. I chose the so-called 'drop shipment' option for my order, but they opened my packages, re-packed them with a thick, bulky, and extremely big box, which caused my goods to be weighed more. Therefore, I had to pay more on their check-out.
I lodged a complaint on their system, specifically about the package weight being 6KG. I ordered 1 pair of Timberland boots + Light ankle boots, and they both cannot possibly be weighing 3KG. After my complaint, they changed the weighted values, and they tried to make the situation out on their behalf by stating that they are offering free service by re-packaging my goods with a solid box, blah, blah. However, I did not ask for it, and I did not even choose 'Drop Shipment.' They charged me 31 or 31 EURO for their unnecessary service.
Moreover, there are hidden prices, which you could not find on their pricing page, making it hard for customers to know how much they are charging from them. Many of their services are listed as 'free.' Still, when you calculate your shipment, you have no idea about the amount you have to pay. In contrast, I prefer websites such as mailboxde.com, shipgerman.com, and even the ability to negotiate prices with parcl.com.
Aside from that, the service is slow, and I do not recommend their 'concierge.' It took days for them to reply, making it inconvenient for me. I do recommend using parcl.com, where lots of forwarders offer their services, and I have had better experiences with them.
In conclusion, while MyGermany initially seemed like the go-to place for forwarding services, I had a terrible experience with them. Their false claims, hidden prices, slow service, and unnecessary repackaging of goods all make me not recommend this service to anyone. Instead, explore other shipping and package forwarding services that are more reliable and trustworthy than MyGermany. Avoid MyGermany at all costs - slow, expensive, and terrible communication
In all honesty, MyGermany is a VERY slow and EXPENSIVE service - not to mention their terrible communication. As a customer, they show no care at all for you - it's highly frustrating and leaves one feeling completely helpless!
So, I came across their website and decided to try out their consolidation service. However, there's a 24-48 hour delay in acknowledging that the items you send have been received. I recently had an item delivered on January 16, 2019 and after a few days had passed, I received no notifications - no nothing! Frustrated, I email them and it's only then that they acknowledge receipt of the item. To my surprise, the item had been laying in their warehouse for FIVE DAYS before they bothered to tell me!
Immediately, I ask for the consolidation by using the web interface but nothing happened in THREE WHOLE DAYS (all I got were excuses). After sending a few emails on the fourth day, they finally consolidate my items, but they split it up into TWO separate boxes and asked for €137 to have it shipped to Croatia by DHL. This is a complete rip off! There were two boxes, each weighing roughly 10 kg - one box containing a 32' monitor, some car parts, IT equipment (graphic card, two SDD, two HDD), a cordless ako drill, and some batteries, all summing up to a total dimension of 43x34x35cm.
Interestingly enough, I asked a few times in my emails and even agreed to ship it by GLS standard (Land Route) for an estimated 33 € (GLS website stated that it could take up to 40 kg). However, they stated that batteries can't be shipped with some services hence DHL was the only available option. Meanwhile, when I initially enquired about the shipping cost and method, they had proposed GLS - talk about tricky!
Whenever it's in their interest (acquiring new customers), they reply to emails in a day or within 24 hours, but when you need them, they won't reply even after six days, three emails, and one contact form. Finally, on the sixth day with no reply, I had to call them to ask why my shipment hadn't yet been made or sent by GLS as agreed. The guy on the phone stated that they could send it by GLS but it would be nearly the same price as DHL. Moreover, he also said that there's no option to pay for GLS - I needed to pay for DHL and they will credit my account if there's something left. Due to the delay and urgency of the matter, I had to pay €137 ($160) for shipping from Germany to Croatia by DHL.
What's more, they conveniently ignore some of your questions and skilfully evade shipping cost calculations, even if you provide them with accurate details and links to products for estimation. They'll simply say "we can ship your parcel for a good price via GLS on the land route," making it quite frustrating and time-consuming to get a reply or clarification - more waiting for you, my friend!
Basically, they use "soft blackmail". Suppose you've ordered and invested in some goods, they know they've got you now and will charge you a hefty shipping cost, even if you previously agreed that they would send it to you by cheaper land route, for example. They won't answer your emails, and you're left with only two expensive shipping options (be careful, especially if you have batteries), and they know it, which is why they tend to ignore you. And once you pay for the more expensive shipping, finally, you hear back from them, saying something along the lines of "sorry for the delay" and offering you a 10% discount for your next purchase - not interested!
After waiting for days on end and having to pay €140, I could've just gone to Germany myself to pick it up and avoid all the waiting and frustration. But after waiting for so long with no reply, eventually, you give up, want your stuff delivered, and pick the more expensive shipping option just to be done with it. This is their filthy game!
In conclusion, it's an absolute DISGRACE how they treat their customers - it's unbelievable. Avoid this company like the plague if you don't want to feel ignored, frustrated, helpless, and eventually scammed with high shipping prices. There are better, faster, and cheaper options out there.
Just a quick note of caution - these people are capable of doing anything and using any immoral tactic to get rid of negative reviews, including bribery, lies, and cheating. They've already removed some of my reviews from a few sites, but I'm fighting back to try and get them back online. These are some really bad people!

It appears that they've been going through the contents of shipments and removing things. But guess what? They did not respond to any of my messages afterwards! No reply on Facebook, they didn't respond to my phone call, and of course no responses via email.
