I visited the Nail Palace outlet at Clementi in the early of March 2020. My intention was only to do the manicure & pedicure. The nail technician told me my feet condition was very bad and need to do treatment to remove my dead skin. The treatment cost was extremely high as it cost me $388 for a treatment for about 20 mins! The nail technician failed to tell me clearly the cost beforehand and I only knew it when they tell me the charges for that day was $700 plus! The worst thing was everything was scribble in a piece of paper and after that they started to use their tactics to sell their package! The services given to me on that day was as below:
1. foot treatment to remove dead skin (the cost was not stated in the NP's website)
2. pill for foot bath
3. manicure & pedicure (gelish)
They told me in order to save the $700 plus I must sign on their package (15 sessions). Total cost for 15 sessions will be $5820 (before gst) with $388 per sessions. I told them I don't wish to sign on the package and then they offer me another package with lesser sessions, from 15sessions to 10sessions and finally to 6 sessions. They were so forceful and pushy and end up I was signed 6 sessions under high pressure and unwillingness. The sessions cost me $2490.96! After that, they did not give up and continue to pursue me to add on 2 more sessions to make up to 8 sessions! I turn down their offer as I really don't feel comfortable with their approach. They did not give me the receipt initially but only the appointment card and they call me the next day to collect the receipt.
Recently I saw the review online and the news from CNN and I just noticed that Nail palace have received many negative feedbacks especially on the unethical selling tactics. I have consulted CASE, and I being told to raise the complaint. I decided to ask for refund as I don't feel comfortable to continue the service package at Nail palace as they are not honest and there are too many hidden charges! The feet treatment fees charged to me was not able to be found in Nail Palace website!
Please get back to me with regards to my refund before I proceed to take legal actions.
