National Magazine Exchange service canceling my membership

I got the message in the mail about the sweepstake, I thought I take a shot at it, now I want to cancel my membership but I'm getting talked into another 3 year plan, which I didn't want in the first place, but I'm not the type of person to argue or complain until now. I just want this to be canceled as soon as possible without talking me into another deal that I cannot afford.

National Magazine Exchange magazines

I enter into a contest. Then I end up ordering magazines. Now for a year I have been getting magazines that I did not order. I tried to cancel. I was told that was a promotion magazines. Recently I spoke with them, again I cannot cancel. I am getting wrong products and you want me to pay for it. I want to cancel my order subscription magazines.

National Magazine Exchange its a scam! I didn't receive no watch or money

I received a letter in the mail saying I have until Feb. 23, 2017 to enter into a sweepstakes. My ID number was [protected]. They asked for the date that my card will expired and then they wanted to know my credit card number. The number on the letter told me to call [protected]. The people on the phone sound like they were foreigners. They asked me what magazines I would like to have. They also said I would be charged $1.59 per week.

Yes I totally agree with the other review/complaints! This really ticked me off considering the letter states there is NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT REQUIRED TO ENTER OR WIN! Like the others was rudely pushed with a pretty forceful attitude to hive them my CC # for these magazines that were at first claimed to be free along with a watch. I repeatedly told them Im not interested and they kept going so I had to hang up. Then about a week later I received a bill in the mail for those damn magazines which I obviously was not going to have any part in paying that. I love entering sweepstakes but this one really stood out with a big negative for me. The national magazine exchange is way to pushy and rude and I will always steer clear of anything associated with that name.

National Magazine Exchange unwanted payment / cancel my order

I first gotten a letter early august about a prize eligibility of $10, 000 a week and I have called the number provided [protected]) to see if I have won said prize that was corresponded with an id number of [protected] and instead told me about magazines and a watch which I had to pay for. I have received a letter on august 15, 2016 that is a receipt of magazines that I do not want. The payment was $268.32 which is something I can not afford! Instead of "winning" any kind of prize I was swindled of my money and I wish for a refund as soon as possible. I have yet to receive anything yet but I do not wish to receive it, instead I wish to have my money back. A full refund. I would very much appreciate it if I could get my money back.

National Magazine Exchange frauds

I received a striksweepstakes sweepstakes id number was [protected] and their number was [protected]. I called to try and verify it was legit they claimed it was then asked me what magazine's I wanted then charged my account without me okaying it. I'm gonna try to call them again today. Fortunately I already reported it as fraud to my bank. These people need to be forced to pay each individual they scammed 2 mil dollars and spend life in prison

Same happened to me. I received a bill from a collections agency for $67.08. I filed a report with the BBB and they helped me get the whole thing taken care of. It was an easy process and only took a few days after filing my complaint. You should do the same if you haven't already.

National Magazine Exchange payment schedule

I was lead to believe that I only needed to make three payments of $67.08 which I did for the months of oct. Nov. &dec. 2015 (bank statements to prove this are available) now in the month of jan 2016, I get a letter telling to make another payment of $68.00 due on 01/21/2016. I hope that this is a mistake because I have sent your company all the money that I agreed to and I will not be sending any more. If this is a problem for you, cancel the entire subscription right now!

National Magazine Exchange Cancel my order

I was mislead into ordering the following magazines for a price of $ 67.08. (US Weekly for 4 years, Men's Journal for 4 years, Martha Stewart Living for 4 years, ESPN for 2 years, Forbes for one year, Rolling Stone for 4 years, Outside for 4 years, Cosmopolitan for 2 years, Women's Health for 1 year and Seventeen for 1 year. First of all I did not order the following magazines (I am retired and I live alone and like watching sports)US Weekly, Men's Journal, Forbes, Rolling Stone, Outside, Cosmopolitan, Women's Health and Seventeen. I wasn't sure of what the cost was. I do recall that I liked watching sports and the agent stated that I could purchase ESPN at a low price. I said ok and I gave them my account number ending in 6035 to pay for the ESPN magazine. When I checked my bank account I found that on July 10, 2014 I noticed that $67.08 was charged to my account. So I called the toll free number [protected]) listed next to the company's (NMEMAGS) name. I was told by the customer service representative that I had agreed to pay for the above magazines for $67.08. I made it very clear that I did not order any of the above magazines, except for ESPN, which should not cost $ 67.08 for 2 years I was told by the customer service representative that he would cancel the order. I asked for a conformation number and he stated that there wasn't a number assigned to the account but it would be noted in the account number notes on file in their computer in my account set up for me, When I get an account number assigned to me. I gave the account number on the bill I got from National Magazine Exchange ( [protected]). He asked me to stand by so he can check with his supervisor and would get back to me. In about five minutes the customer service representative came back on the line and stated that he found my account. I told the customer service representative about calling on July 15th and requested to canceled the order and I was told that it was canceled and the $67.08 would go back into my account ending in 6035. He replied that the customer service representative made a mistake and that besides the $67.08. I told the customer service representative that I am retired and am on a fixed income and I could not afford paying $67.08 plus $202.24 for magazines that I would not read. He further stated that he could not refund back to my banking account ending in 6035 and that he could bill me for nine months at $22.24. The total for the bill will round out to $269.32. I told the customer Service Representative that I did not know of the above magazines that he said I had ordered. What am I going to do with Martha Stewart Living, Forbes, Rolling Stone, Outside, Cosmopolitan, women's health and Seventeen. I advised the customer service representative that I was miss-lead and that I would contact my bank and contest the amount of $67.08 taken out of my account on July 10th. The date on the letter I received was dated July 9th.The representative told me that I should have called as soon as possible after making the order to cancel. He further stated that the publishers of the above magazines had been paid by National Magazine Exchange and he was not able to reverse the charges, but again stated that he could help me out by only charge out of my account ending in 4065 a total of $22.36 for nine consecutive monthly payments beginning July 9, 2014. I asked him again that the only magazine I was aware was ESPN, and that I called as soon as I could, once I got a letter stating what I will be paying for the next 9 consecutive monthly payments of $22.36 beginning on July 9th of this year. I asked him what happen to the $67.08 his employer charged my checking account # ending in 4065? He replied that the $67.08 was part of the 9 months of $22.36. I once again asked him the name of the customer service representative who I spoke to on July 15th, about the above magazines and about canceling my account and he replied that the order was canceled. The representative replied that he could not find the call I made on/or about July 15th, and there wasn't a record of anyone getting a phone call from me about canceling my order. I also told the representative that I got a bill from Forbes for $9.00. I am sure I might get a bill from each of the above magazine publication. There was no way I could get the representative to take a little time to listen to understand what I went through. He further stated that there wasn't anything I could do about the cost of the above magazines (one's that I would have not purchase-why didn't the representative tell me at the time I was called that I would be getting the above magazines for the price of $269.32. The only conversation I can recall with the representative was that he keep pushing the $1.1 million dollar sweepstakes and that he wish me luck. I have been trying to recall or remember talking about ordering magazines (see above) because if the name of the magazine was mentioned I am sure I would have said thanks but no thanks. The representative kept talking about the million dollar sweepstakes. Looking at the bill I got in the mail (minimum payment of $.00) it is printed the following words: GOOD LUCK IN THE $1.1 MILLION SWEEPSTAKES, NOTHING SAID ABOUT THE $1.1 MILLION IN DOLLARS THAT IS IF THE SYMBOL $ MEANS DOLLARS. I will have my bank stop payment on the $67.08, if not I will protest the amount and request that no funds to be taken out of my account ending in 6035. I did noticed on the receipt of electronic authorization for $67.08. I hope they do not take monthly payments for 9 consecutive monthly payments of $22.36 beginning July 9, 2014. I did not authorize any electronic withdraws. I read statements made by other people. Maybe we should get together and file a class action law suit against National Magazine Exchange in Federal District court. How does the people who had the same problems with National Magazine Exchange feel about the class action suit?

These people never give up. They will find you one way or another. I bought some magazines from a student who said he sells them for the NME so that he could go on trips out of state, but when I brought this up to NME rep. she denied this, I asked her ok then where else did I sign up for these magazines, as I received these magazines, I get a card in the mail to call this 800 number if unsatisfied and little did I know it would come back a number to NME. They don't tell the truth. Scampers I say, that can't seem to take NO for an answer. Also quit calling me. I had to jump hoops just to cancel out. and there still mailing me things to reconnect with them. NME don't you get it. When a customer saying "I no longer want to be a part of this, then why don't they get rid of your phone number if the customer doesn't want to be bother by this company. Leave me alone please.

National Magazine Exchange soliciting old people/fraud

They feed on the elderly and try to get them to spend upwards of $300 on magazine such as Rolling Stone that they would never ever read with promised of winning sweepstakes and free junk watches that don't work. Total ripoff and total disregard for the retired population living on fixed incomes and fall subject to these type of scams of high pressure sales and getting the person confused and pressuring them into giving them their credit card info. FRAUD! CRIMINAL! They should be not allowed to solicit like they do

National Magazine Exchange fraud!!!

I received in the mail a sweepstakes prize entry for 1, 100, 000.000 with " my entry #" and to call [protected]. So when I called they told me no purchase necessary to enter. Then 3 different times the wanted me to get 3 magazines for 1$ for all 3 and I could cancel anytime. I refused so then they offered me a free 3 day 2 night cruise to the Bahamas, the catch was they needed a payment of 118.00 fee for "International water taxes" and they needed the credit card payment over the phone right then to get the free trip. My bf said no but I really wanted to do it cuz it sounded legit at the time. So I gave them my prepaid visa card that I use for bills, ect.. and I got the card at Chase bank and use it often. the manager got on the phone and told my card was fake! Ha! wow! so my bf told him well that's funny we just used it today earlier. So he then told me to get a real credit card after I told him that's the only one I have and use, THEN AFTER WE TOLD HIM WE CANT GET THE FREE SCAM HE THRETEND MY BF AND I HE WAS GOING TO TURN US IN FOR HAVING A FAKE CARD! THEY WONT TAKE PRE PAID CARDS CUZ THEY CANT OVERDRAW YOUR BANK ACCOUNT! PLEASE BEWARE AND SUBMIT YOUR COMPLANT IF THIS HAS HAPPEND TO YOU!

National Magazine Exchange want to cancel subscriptions

i need to cancel my subscriptions i do not need them nor can i afford them. some of them are very unuseful for i do not have a small child in my home nor do i own horse. i should not have to subscribe to something i dont need. when i called i thought i was only entering a sweepstake for 1, 100, 000 but boy to my surprise the magazines that was supposed to have been free were not and i ended up being billed for them cancel all subscriptions immediately as of june 15, 2012.

National Magazine Exchange selling and/or sharing my info

I recently entered the publishers clearing house sweepstakes. Soon thereafter I started getting "official prize distribution statements", from the national magazine exchange. The only reason I know who's sending me these statements is because on the back, second to last line, of said statement it reads, "to view or privacy policy visit www.nmemags.com.", in very small print.
When I entered the pch sweepstakes I was very careful to opt out of any other sweepstakes and I didn't order anything. A lot of good that did me. Luckily I googled the nme website first to check for any scams. Thank god there are a lot of people with enough moxie to inform us of all their scheming ways. Thank you all

I don't think you ever win any money from them. They seem to be phishing for our information, selling magazines, and offering bogus bonuses. I get tired of getting their letters and endlessly talking to them for nothing.

National Magazine Exchange representatives tried repeatedly to sell me magazines

On Friday, May 27, 2011, I received a mailing in which I responded by calling a "toll-free" number to enter. When I did I was met with TWO phone reps who both tried more than five times to get me to "sign-up" for magazines, and other merchandise. I continued to say NO but they kept trying to "SELL" stuff. I did contact (at another toll-free number) a supervisor who promised to 'review' the phone calls and see what changes needed to be made. I encourage consumers to be DILIGENT and report activites appearing to be a SCAM. The National Magazine Exchange cannot continue in business if reps act in a harrassing manner.

i work for nme, its funny when i read that people say they are being scamd by us. your not forced into buying magazines(you can say no) your not forced into giving your credit card number ( you can hang up), you MUST aggree to it BEFORE your order is processd and when you do YOUR ARE RECORD AGREEING TO IT! so dont act like you didnt know your card was gonna get charge, you need to listen to what is being said to you, what your ageeing to, it is a legitimate sweestakes people have won and people will win, people get caught up in thinking about the 1.ONE MILLION DOLLARS that they can win and dont listen to whats getting told to them, as far as the 2 FREE DIAMOND QUARTZ WATCHES, once again if you listen there not sent to you that day, youll recieve a letter in the mail on that letter theres a website and you pick them out yourself, other wise guess what you wont GET THEM. im sure were still in buisness because people dont have valid solid cases that they are being scamd especially when "FOR ACCURACY THIS CALL MAY BE RECORED" is there to back us up so your on record agreeing to ALL THESE THINGS . Hey I'm just looking for a way to enter, I got a letter but I lost it but still have the envelope that's how I got here. I know it is a legit business in my search to try to salvage my entry I found people that has won. They can't be expected to give every1 the 1, 000, 000 prize I mean co.e people. And whoever said u have to consent to buying is right. And it does say buy I g a magazine does not contribute to your chances. Got this because I won a magazine. Anyway if the person that said they work there can u help me? It may be too late though.

Well my husband doesn't have a credit card they told him if he agreed then he would be entered for a chance to win a trip. You tell me in one year would you pay over six hundred dollars for magazines. No I don't think you would, sometimes these people do take advantage. I'm sorry I don't care how much magazines you order it's ridiculous to think that ANYONE would agree to or pay that kind of money on them. Either they lied about the prices or they lied about being able to cancel, but either way they lied. My husband called to cancel and SURPRISE you guys record people agreeing but you don't record them CANCELLING do you. I hope people do start to hang up, once they hear the words magazines and Free anything, HANG UP THE PHONE because all they want is money ( and lots of it).

National Magazine Exchange scam and hope canceled immediately

This company called offring $1, 0000 sweepstakes then began to sell magazines to the tune of $89.00 per month. I had aleady been scammed by another magazine service, and when they began their sales pitch
I stopped them and said no I already had been hit with the same kind of scam months earier. They continued pressing, then they offered magazine for $22.00 for only 3 monthly payments. My daughter was stuck paying $700.00 for magazines never received and the promise of a $1, 000.00 gift certificate shopping spree they were harrassing her, at the same time. So when I received the payment receipt of electronic authorizaton, I called NME and insisted they cancel the subscription since it had only been a few days. I threatened to send this to Attorney General and the BBB, they ontinued byteling me to shu up and listen to their rading from the manual, so I told her that I had eough and I would report them and the hung up sinc she was then yeling at me! They called back in about 20 minutes, and I stopped her by telling her I was already in process of filing a cmplaint since I: found the web sigiht that illustratd this was in fact a scam ! It was then she cut me off once again, claiming this call was to tell me they would cancel and gave me a cancellation number. I hope ths worked, but will not know for sure. The number they gave me on 2-15-11 was [protected]. What more can I do? and How do we stop this from thi constantly reocurring?

They keep calling my EMERGENCY minute phone that i have for emergencies only, I have called them and told them NOT to call it and they keep calling 7-10 times EVERY day. Does anyone know WHAT the Heck I can do about this.?

This company is the big bulls* scam ever. Constantly calling me day and night, threating me about my credit saying that I owed over $1000's for magazines I didnt even select nor want. I fell for their stupid scam cuz I thought they were the nme (National magazine exchange). At 1st I thought I was just making a payment to my legit company till they started calling me everyday telling me they arent associated with them. They call with static blocking out anything their trying to say, constantly trying to change the debt amount, providing flase name, no official billing or contract agreements. They dont even tell you how much your gonna owe till after they have your information. I notice they were taking money out my account and reported fraud to my bank, got my money back yet they still try to contact me. Please help with any useful information to get these debt collectors off my #.

National Magazine Exchange magazine subscription cancellation

I called national magazine exchange about 2 weeks ago because they stated that i was picked to enter the sweepstakes. They forced me to buy magazines that I did not want to buy and end up charging $67.08 to my credit card within two days and then two days later i called national magazine exchange to try and cancel my magazine subscription and he said they could not and i asked him very nicely to please cancel my subscription because i can't afford it. come to find out, he charged tried to charge my credit card 210 dollars and now i have a zero balance because of him. could you please call nme and have him arrested. this is the biggest scam i have ever ran into. I need to be refuned my 67.08 back to my credit card as soon as possible.

More than 2 mon. ago I cancelled magazine subscriptions by email & by telephone. I continue to receive multiple copies of magazines. I have been charged to my credit $67.08. Last month I changed my debit information at a local bank. Please stop sending these magazines to 1420 S.3rd.

First of all, there is No sweepstakes to begin with so thats your first mistake for even believing there is one, you have more of a chance of catching AIDS than winning a sweepstakes! I know this because I used to work for these professional scam artists who by the way are so lawyered up there is NO way for you to get out of any subscription. Secondly, no one forced YOU to listen to the subscription sales agent and the verifyier who YOU gave your cc number to, no one FORCED you to stay on the line through any of this, thats your second mistake, you agreed to shoppers advantage and great fun so you are ultimately to blame for bieng ignorant and greedy because you thought you could win money! This sweepstakes is geared and mailed to uneducated, low income and the elderly. Its common sense that (ALL) sweepstakes are a scam and YOU made the desicion to call and STAY on the line. This company not only scams the public but their employees as well. The steal money from both ends, (yours and mine) and once you work there, the co. makes damn sure to give you a horrible reference so when you do leave it is difficult to gain employement again. Next time you recieve ANY offers in the mail that have ANY inclination that you might win alot money, just trash it. Its all lies. Make sure you warn family and friends about this neverending scam so they can do the same. They had you at hello.

Everyone who got sucked into this better keep an eye on their bank accounts or credit cards because our bank account was being charged from two other companies, great fun and shoppers, $14.99 a month because the magazine company gave them our card number. BEWARE!
