Nokia review: software problem 21

I purchased the nokia 6280 on contract, it took 2 months to be delivered. when i did receive it, i had problems with the software on the phone itself. i then returned the phone with an exchange of a new one, which also took 2 weeks to get. the 2nd phone worked well during a period of 4 weeks, however to my disappointment this nokia also has the same software problem.

I purchased a Nokia 6233 on 17th Oct, 2006. I work with a Telecom company, hence, it is very important to have a fully functional Cell Phone.

The Complaint: When I get a message in my phone,the time of receipt of the message always shows the wrong timings. The Auto time update feature in the phone is in 'OFF' mode.

I had given the phone to the Nokia service center.My complaint number is BAN 0059722. The service center was unable to fix my complaint. They even claimed that the problem is with the software and they do not have an updated software.

I know two of my colleagues who has the same problems in their 6233's.

Nokia 6300 has a severe battery problem. The fully charged battery does not even hold with one day of usage. If you hear songs it does not hold for 2 hours flat. Do not know what to do with this phone. Does Nokia listen and give an replacement for the better battery. Simply pathetic battery performance...

Best idea... throw your mobile to basket... which i done

I have an 18month contract with 02. My first 6233 was returned because the phone kept "rebooting" itself every time I connected to the internet. The second replacement handset switched itself off when I tried to send a MMS message.

The third replacement handset is about to be returned for exactly the same reason. 02 will ONLY replace the handset with a brand new model if my third handset is faulty!

I do NOT recommend this phone to anybody!

The Nokia 6300 has a very big battery problem.

The battery life is extremely short.

How can Nokia claim that battery life: Standby is Up to 348 h
Talk time Up to 3 h 30 min

This is pure misleading.

I totally agree with the problem with the battery life. Its a pity me and my wife bought 2. The specs say that the batteries' standby time would last 14 days. It does not last more than 2 days (ON STAND BY). We don't use the camera much nor bluetooth or MP3 player. We don't call or text much and the battery does not last more than 14% of what was posted on the spec sheet. No problem if it would reach just 7 days but 2 days is ridiculous.
Nokia... this is very misleading. We are truly disappointed.

Very poor power management design and worse on the marketing end... shame on you.

Heavy Heating of Mobile phone at upper part of phone while talking more than 5 Mintus

I bought the nokia 6300 1 week back and from second day onwards i noticed this. The phone gets heated at the receiver part when some times if the call is longer than 2 minutes.

Yes, I too have the same problem. The time on SMS messages are showing wrong. If I send an message at evening 6:30PM, it shows something around 11:40 AM as the sent time. Why is it so? Can someone answer our questions?

i bought a nokia 6300 3 months back. the battery was very sad, and would drain out due to lack of power management features and an extremely hi-res screen.

then i updated the phone software. battery life improved.

but now my phone can not be used as a modem, it refuses to accept the handsfree pin - which means the radio is useless and worst of all - when i make a calender entry, it changes it's time on it's own!
and it keeps on giving reminders even after the event time has passed...

is the any way how i can 'DOWNdate' the phone software...its gone into dungeon now...

hi my name is mohamed riyas, my mobile model is nokia 6300.My mobile give some problem when inserting memory card.First i ll insert memory card that time only working after few minutes or hour cannot go to memory card the message shows memory card removed.Then i ll switch off and on my mobile the memory card is working what problem i do'nt know.please help meeee..

I m using my mobile scince from 6 month. But its creating lost of problm form me. When i conect the charger to mobile then error show """"CHARGER NOT SPORTED"""""""" bartry timing is just a bit okay its not big issue for me currently and 2nd problm is that its turn off atomatically after 5/or 10 Mints.
I can realible on it and i need its alarm early but due to Atomatically turn off (Shut down) i cant reach office in time please tell me what i do ? because i dont want to sell out this cell.
