bait and switch
Hi. I was shopping around for a new car when I came across the variety of cars at "off lease auto" and saw that their prices were very low as well so I decided to give them a call. I was in the market to purchase a Nissan Murano and saw they had 10 listed on their website. I live almost 3 hours away so instead of driving all the way there I thought it would be best to call first. After getting the run around for 3 days I finally had a man named "Gucci" call me back. He was very unprofessional and "ghetto" but he assured me he could approve me for the car I wanted. After allowing him to run a credit app for me over the phone, he guaranteed my approval for financing but stated they had just SOLD the last Nissan Murano, but said he had a really nice Lexus RX330 he could get me into and asked me when could I come there and look at the car and finalized the paperwork. We agreed on the next day to meet at the dealership. I called him that morning before I left to give him a heads up to be expecting me, also confirming his guarantee that I had been approved. He assured me all was " a go ". When I arrived, he was walking out of his office to another room and told me that he would be with me in 2mins. I should have known better when he sat me in a room to fill out my credit, but thought "maybe they just need this for their records since I was already approved". He then gave that to his "finance manager" to see if they could get me approved... WHAT? I thought I was approved, then he replied that there is a good chance that a bank will pick me up, we just have to wait and see. Then he began to ask me if I was putting down $4k, I told him, NO, I told you 2500 at the most before I got here... then he says how about 3500, I said NO. Then this is where the wait game began, after waiting for almost 2 hours pacing back and forth, Im told, "oh the bank cut us and don't want to pay us what we want for the car but if you give us $5500 down, the car is yours". WTF... then he began telling me, well you make great money, you can afford it... WTF, who are you to tell me what I can afford, this is not what you said over the phone, I told you I was not looking to put nomore than 2500 down. I then, began to tell him that I did not appreciate him wasting my time, gas and day. Then he wanted to ask me to buy a different car from them, he offered me everything from a beat up Saab SUV to a Subaru to a Pathfinder to a Chrysler 300 to a Honda. Then he refer me back to the same site that lists 10 Nissan Muranos on it but by his own admission, they did NOT currently have a single one left. He was very UNprofessional, he wore sunglasses the entire time, even inside the building where their was no sun or bright lighting. He wore skin tight jeans and a spandex baby shirt that had a huge rip in it, when he noticed the hole in his shirt he pulled out another skin tight toddler shirt that was all balled up from out a paper bag next to his desk and put it on in front of me. I have bought several cars in the past and he was by far the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with in the car business, complete waste of time. I told him to call me when they got in another Nissan Murano, he then suggested I buy him a black Diesel tshirt that costs $70 for all his work he put in trying to get me into a vehicle. Upon leaving the dealership I noticed a car lot across the street and decided to stop in to see if they had a Murano, they did. I spoke with the owner Gene. He assured me he would not waste my time and that he would do whatever in his power to get me into the vehicle. (Meanwhile, Gucci from across the street called to tell me I had left my drivers liscense with him and needed to come back to get it, when I walked across the street he told me to come back later, as he was leaving to go on his lunch break... I told that homothug that he waste my time long enough already and that I was not coming back and that he needed to give me my belongings NOW...he did)...I walked back across the street to Port Motors and Gene had the Murano there waiting for me to test drive; car was very beautiful, leather, power all, sun roof, heated seats, loaded... I drove the car, liked the car, 5 minutes later, Gene approached me and said I had been approved. About an hour later, I was driving back home in my new Nissan Murano..
I would say to avoid "offlease auto" at all cost unless you have gas to burn, time to waste, bs and procrastination to deal with, and 2x the downpayment you would be expecting to put down if you are not buying the vehicle right out. OR AVOID this sales rep with the toddler t's, sunglasses, spandex pants and tattoos.
stay far away
It's a Blessing we went elsewhere! STAY AWAY FROM OFFLEASE ONLY !My pregnant wife did some homework and found this dealer. She is due real soon and her lease is about to expire so Sunday, I took her and our 16 month old there to buy a R350 Mercedes she located on line. We were told we would be approved for financing but being self employed we needed to provide proof of income. Meanwhile, we are sitting at Lori's Desk and another sales ASSociate makes a comment to the back of my head, "sure hope you get approved, I've got a cash buyer that buys a lot of cars from me interested in that car!" I could not believe the audacity. They managed to string me along for days with we need another document yatta-yatta. Finally I went back to get my deposit because by this point I knew they were going to tell me I was declined. (They can't legally sell the car out from under if a deposit is down but they can tell you financing is not available and get away with selling to another dealer.) Isn't that what happened John/Lori? After Reading other peoples reviews and stories, I am high fivein' G-d the car was schist'ed out from under me. Needless to say Carmax financed me in 15 minutes no problem on a car in much better appearance and over all value. I have never had a worse buying experience in my life.(period) John/Lori If you read this thank you from the bottom to the top for not putting my life and the lives of those I hold dearest to me in one of your altered, incomplete, run down, malfunctioning, mismatched, aftermarket, ragged on, wore out, deathtraps !
Same story - different username "beaumont" - a little overkill maybe?
be very careful what you sign...
I went to this deal expecting a pleasant experience & I had my own financing. Their method of handling simple business logistics is near crazy to chaos. Apparently the owner likes it that way as stated by a salesperson. On the sales slip in the car it stated a warranty but there manufacturing warranty only. When I went to sign official paperwork is stated As-Is which no mention of even the manufacture warranty. The car fax stated no accidents but there was apparently an accident to the car which they did state in a vague statement which I needed to sign. I did do a double take on the extend of the damage to the car but the deal breaker for me was the arbitration agreement which basically states you can not be apart of a law against for whatever reason. Once I decided not sign this they kindly refused to sell me the car.
When buying your next car or truck, read your paperwork carefully. Some car dealers and financiers are inserting an “arbitration clause” in the fine print to take away legal rights if case they do something wrong to you. Currently, some Ford credit, Chrysler credit and other bank finance contracts include an arbitration clause. Likewise, many car dealers are doing it, too. Watch out!
An arbitration clause does not have to be in your contract, and an arbitration clause can take away your right to go to court without you even knowing it! Some arbitration clauses are written so “tight” that you could get mugged, robbed and beaten up on the car dealer’s lot, by their employee, and you couldn’t do much of anything about it at all!
If you already signed an arbitration agreement, don’t give up because you may still be able to get around it, but the best thing is never to sign one in the first place !
Every complain her is true be aware people i read all the complains the owner only wories about hes reviws nothing else he sound so nise in his replyes back its a lie
do not buy a car from this dealer
Do not buy a car from this dealer! www.offleaseonly.com sells cars that are inferior. They are either fleet rental vehicles or cars that have been in an accident. Rentals are cars that have been abusively driven by many different people and have seen a rough service life.
I took a chance and bought one such vehicle (a 2008 Nissan Altima with 39K miles) and after $5, 000.00 in repairs, am I sorry I ever did business with OffleaseOnly! I did the research on the car and took it to a mechanic nearby to inspect the vehicle. When everything checked out, I purchased the car. They were very pleasant at the time of the sale. However, at the first sign of a problem, the management immediately became rude with me and said the car was my problem.
Approximately three months and 2, 300 miles after I bought the car, the engine started to burn oil and makes a low tapping sound. I immediately had the oil changed, thinking this would solve the problem, but it only became worse! I brought the car to the dealer and they stated the valves were bad on the car.
I took the car back to OffleaseOnly to discuss this with the salesman who did not even want to speak professionally about this matter, instead he rudely dismissed me I had to wait for over half an hour just to talk to the manager while he was busy writing other deals.
I proposed they have the car repaired through one of their dealer contacts who would probably charge them a greatly reduced wholesale cost, or split the cost of the repair at the dealer nearer my house. The bad valves certainly existed prior to my purchase of the vehicle. (I am an elderly person who does not drive very fast, So I do not see how I could have possibly worn the valves down in such a short period of time.)
They did not want to assist me in any reasonable request the manager was clearly annoyed with me and told me that I accepted the car when I purchased and he had no responsibility to assist me with any repairs. Once you purchase your car from Off lease Only, you are on your own this dealer does not offer any service after the sale whatsoever.
They are only pleasant when they are taking your money! I had no other option than to repair the car at my own cost. The dealer where I had the car repaired charged me $2, 900.00 for the engine work which included boring the cylinders and replacing the worn and broken pistons.
Furthermore, the dealer noticed the car needed new rack and pinion steering and front suspension parts, indicating the car had been in a collision that caused it to hit a curb with great force.
scam artist
What a bunch of rude dishonest scam artist that will lie and tell you anything to get your money! I almost wire transfered close to 30, 000! Thirty thousand dollars and paid for an auto transport and decided to hire an independent auto inspection company and boy am I glad I did! This car had a clean car fax but the seller's disclosure stated"*previous accident"* my inspector found it was in a collision with broken glass still in the trunk, dented front fender, the 2 front wheels were not original, several burn holes thruought the car, curb rash on the wheels, rust all over where the glass chipped the paint and the repair was so terrible it needed to be repaired/painted all over again! The car pulled to the left while being driven by my inspector. Now the worst part!... This was a like new 2010 nissan maxima with only 9600 miles being sold *like new!* the 150 bucks I paid for this great auto inspection company was the best 150 bucks I and my husband has ever spent! Run from these people! They need to be a buy junk here pay here bunch of nuckleheads! Run! Run! Run!

stay far away from offlease only
Recently purchased a used car from Off Lease Only in Lake Worth, Fl, they now do business with Overstock.com and advertise their cars on their site, anyway my car was totalled xmas eve. by a drunk driver and liked their pricing and spotted a 2005 Mercury Montego Premier they had, took it out for a couple hours but noticed alot of road noise coming from the car, did some quick google research before returning the car to give a go ahead for purchase and realized the wheels were switched from 18"'s to 17"s, the Premier comes standard with 18" Perrillis and 15 spoke wheels to cool the disc brakes..their lot had both models and I was correct, they were the wrong wheels. Still wanted the car and told the Sales rep.Louis about it. He replied "dont worry, pick it up tonite and Ill take care of everything". I picked it up in the dark and took his word and he assured me everything was perfect. ###! All they did was wash it, didnt even touch up areas of the paint I asked about..Downloaded an inch of material and went back, Im upset because I want the car to be safe, saw John, an old man who is Mgr.and very sarcastic, sat at his desk and he states"Im prepared for you, see this (hands me a paper) it says the car is correct" I hand him a 1 inch file showing it isnt and its all from the manufacture, he gets up from his chair and says "Im not changing the wheels, your making my blood pressure go up' and he heads for the Employee Kitchen as he embarasses me in front of my wife and 9 year old daughter. I couldnt believe it, sweet until they get your money, customer service doesnt exist there, all I wanted was assurance that the car was safe, PERIOD. Didnt ask for the wheels to be changed, he never looked at them, so he knew I was right that they were switched! Bottom Line, take it to a dealer or do your homework before handing them your hard earned cash, I just got out from the hospital, I didnt need to be treated like dirt. There prices are good but examine their cars closely before you lay out the cash and stay away from Louis, there salesman. He doesnt keep his word.
i got my Mercedes from OffLeaseOnly on Lake Worth, 100k miles and 5 years bumper to bumper warranty. One switch broke and it was replaced by Mercedes of Miami paying only the deductible of $100 (reasonable for that car) Excellent car. thanks

same story, different username "sperry0912", might be legit but a bit of overkill to increase complaint numbers
bought a car a few years back and the carfax with the same vin as my car was for a different model car they are fraudulent thank god for carmax
I'm doing some research on OffLease, and I found this post. Regretfully, I must disagree. Your statement that they sell cars that are 'inferior' makes no sense. They are a USED CAR DEALERSHIP. The cars are off lease. Its buyer beware. You had the vehicle inspected, and you bought it. Its an old, off lease Altima. You really cant complain about problems that occured 2300 MILES after you bought it. That's the roll of the dice you make when buying a USED CAR.
I agree that they probably could have been more professional about addressing your issues, but you must understand that isn't their job. If you want to buy a vehicle and have your dealer attend to all your issues over the life of the car, then you need to buy new.
I would not recommend buying from them
Be very careful/cautious before purchasing from this dealership. Yes, these are luxurious cars at fabulous prices BUT follow the old wise tale, ”if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.” I purchased my vehicle from here only 3 weeks ago since then I have had it in the shop a total of 4 times!!! When I test drove the car it was a dream, I even...

Buyers beware!!! This dealer’s name, “offleaseonly”, certainly does not imply the type of vehicles they sell, which is anything but leased vehicles: automobiles that tend to be clean, one-owner, well maintained cars.in order to market vehicles priced well below other dealers’ used cars, the owners obtain these vehicles at the auto auction and only bid on...

Stay away from this dealer! Save yourselves the aggravation -- these guys inspect no cars, they don't even have a facility to check them. I bought a vehicle from them and they swore to me it had been safety inspected. I drove it home and on the way home heard a horrible rumbling noise in the front end of the car. The next day I took it to a delaer to learn the front end was falling apart and needed 3k worth of work. Further they talked me into purchasing one of those after market warranites and when I called them they told me that the condition was " pre existing " and the work wouldn't be covered. Ask yourself what on a used car isnt pre existing? I called the general manager and asked him if he would participate in the expense of the repair and he said that they only make $ 500 per car and no money to help me. Well funny my trade in is marked up 3K so where is the $ 500 in it? Everything I say is the god honest truth and I highly recommend you stay away from this dealer and go to a reputable dealer who cares about your safety. To me it is not the money but simply the principal of sending a customer home in an unsafe vehicle and not prepared to do anything to help.

I agree with you and had the same experience. Unfortunately, we didn't buy the extended warranty so we were stuck with the bill too. I am assunming that why there prices are considerably less
Dear Limitout31,
Our #1 goal is to take care of EVERY customer to the fullest. We sell over 500 cars per month which is 5-10X what most dealers sell. Regardless, our goal is to make sure that 100% of our customers leave with an incredible car for less money than they would pay anywhere else.
We have built our business by providing a service to the public. We are THOUSANDS LESS than ANYWHERE else on EVERY Vehicle. You cannot go anywhere else and get the same deals that Off Lease Only offers. We literally make a few hundred dollars on each car and never add in a dealer fee. No other dealer does this. Other dealers try to copy us to mislead the public.
To set the record straight on the quality of our vehicles, we provide CARFAX reports on EVERY vehicle FREE for EVERYONE. Just click on any car on www.offleaseonly.com and click the CARFAX link. We spend a lot of money to provide this info to our potential customers. Every car we sell has a clean title history and qualifies for the CARFAX buyback guarantee. Many of our competitors don't offer free CARFAX reports. If the car has had a problem reported on the CARFAX, generally the car is priced thousands below retail. Bottom line, we want everyone to be happy. As for previous accidents, we disclose this on any car we feel was damaged enough to warrant a disclosure. No other dealer does this. The law says cars are sold “as is” no other statements are required. In fact, most dealers will say none of their cars have ever been in any accidents which is an out and out lie!
We have over 600 used cars in stock which is three times larger than any other dealers in the market. We make the investment to earn your business.
Please contact me by email directly- originaloffleaseonly@gmail.com as I would like to discuss your matter further. Our goal is customer satisfaction.
Sincerely,
Off Lease Only management

I bought a car from US OFF LEASE MIA had to bring it back 5 times and they lied to me saying it was a clean car fax gave me a BS story...then to find out it was a damaged car, had t spend over $2000 to fix after buying it for 3 mths !
