It’s a sad broke system. See how quick they are to deny benefits? But when it comes to answers about our money the process is slow.

Ohio Unemployment Unemployment benefits payment center

It is going 12 weeks with no response from benefits payment Center! I completed all information they requested during the Fraude investigation on all claims weeks and weeks ago. This is very frustrating. Customer Service said it is in their que and there isn't anything I can do until they release my $$$. Absolutely no one to speak to, as soon as I call their number, it switches to the main overflow number, and believe me, I have blown up their phones with no success.

Desired outcome: Want my money owed asap

Ohio Unemployment Regular Unemployment, PUA, Benefit Control Center, Redetermination ect

From March 2020 I was receiving PUA up until new bill stopped and restarted in Dec. 2020. I received multiple notices that I was eligible for PUA and payments would start back up around Feb. 9th 2021. Around Feb 17th 2021 I received a notice that I wasn't eligible for PUA but to then apply for PEUC, when then trying to apply for PEUC was told not eligible since I was self employed and no regular W2s . After speaking with numerous people and departments, I was then told to file for Regular unemployment, which I did in Feb. 2021. PUA and Redetermination Dept. told me I would have to wait for Regular unemployment to disallow my claim before the PUA would start back up. I have been waiting since Dec. 2020 for PUA and Feb. 2021 for Regular Unemployment. I have spoken with so many different people from every department, each has told me to do different things, and I have done each and every thing. From requesting and submitting documents, in which I have done multiple times because I am constantly being told that they weren't received, my account from all departments have many many notes, internal forms have been submitted and yet nothing has been resolved. I filed and had my appeal on May 4th 2021 in favor of me receiving PUA and waiving my overpayment but still nothing. I had a scheduled appointment for today 07/22/21 to speak to someone in the Benefit Control Center for 8:53am but processing center called instead so then I had to be transferred to the benefit control dept. by time I got someone on the line it was about 10am. The woman I spoke with was extremely rude and no help whatsoever, she said my claim for regular unemployment was already denied but when I asked for dates and why I didn't receive notice, she responded with " that's what it is and you just need to file an appeal.' I asked her how was I suppose to appeal when there isn't a correspondence to appeal to, which she didn't answer. I told her the reason I scheduled the appointment is because the agent in processing said that the benefit department still hasn't cleared my identity, she told me that they never received my identity verification, even though processing could see that I submitted it in March 2021. She kept cutting me off when I was talking and trying to ask questions, I asked where to email my verifications to, she said it so fast she didn't care if I had the correct address or not. When I asked her what her name was she once again said it super fast and aggressive so her name is either Kinyata or Kiyata, when I asked her for her last name she said she wasn't giving it to me over the phone, I asked her for her Rep ID number and she said that she doesn't have one. After all of this I once again emailed the requested information, hopefully it was the correct email address. The rep today did not try to help me, it didn't matter to her with all of the notes on my account or all of the months I have been waiting for answers, she did not want to be bothered with me.

Desired outcome: Unemployment resolved, waiting since Dec for PUA, waiting since 02/21 for reg. unemploy. so payments can start back up from one of the programs. Rep I spoke with today extremely unprofessional, I expect that to be also taken care of

They are doing it on purpose. Your right the people is not being heard. We are not being treated fairly or just fully. Us citizens need to learn to open our mouths. A lot of people gets frustrated and throws their hands up and does nothing. NO. Keep speaking out. Keep voting. All those things make a difference. This is our life. Our future. The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any. Hang tight. Everything will workout for good, In Jesus name.

Ohio Unemployment I just need a simple monetary determination recalculated

For some reason the odjfs has made a mistake and exhausted my claim. I have 18 wks left on my account. W a now zero balance! It was just like 3,200 sumthin now all of a sudden it was 0 one day and read exhausted! Wtf?
I thought my monetary determination amount would be recalculated and increased considerin the fact that my employer provided you guys w a corrected 1099 adding to my earned income amount by 18,000 dollars!
I understood that maybe you needed to recalculate it since while waiting for my employment verification documentation (misc1099) by some mistake my balance went from up in the 3, 000s $ remaining balance to 0 overnight! Even if I had exhausted my claim (which I have not... Im eligible 4 79 wks and used only 61!) that's just a hard fact... Even if I hypothetically exhausted my claim (alsoprematurely)... Id still be owed retroactive payments of more than just 189$ a week since they gave you proof of an 18000 $ increase in my earned income total amount from 2019 and also the retroactive extra 100 stacked on top of that, that we were all eligible to receive along w the supplemental extra 300 $ for all of us gig workers!
I mean how could my monetary determination amount be 3, 000 something w 18 wks still aren't I owed quite a bit of retroactive claim. $ since I was paid the bare minimum my entire claim of 189$ i'm getting all kinds of screwed over here. I mean I made 15 $ an hr as a sub contractor for superior interior construction on top of being a part time waitress right before that and a little concurrent in 2019.

All in all there's absolutely no way my claim is exhausted... In any way whether it'd be by funds maxed out or weeks left. I'm owed retroactive money and extra weekly amounts too under the cares act... I still have 18 weeks on my claim and just became

10000% eligible for the extended wks of pua or puec benefits thru to sept 26? I believe
(w no pending issues whatsoever) on july 12th!

Identification verification: 1000% eligible w no pending issues whatsoever either!

I have promptly complied in every way possible
I am eligible still until sept. In every way possible (w 18 wks in blk and white under my messed up claim and its wks remaing)

And yet my claim reads:
E x h a u s t e d!

Freaking someone help me this is so unfairrrr!

Its been 8 whole weeks since *any funds at all* (that beeeeeeellllllloooong to me)
Have been released! 2 months!

Patiently ive waited for help w this patiently for going on 2 months now w every single rep. Repeating the same life ruining words: there is nothing we can do to help you ma'am!.

"all the adjudicators have to do is release your redetermination amount and change it to match your 18 weeks remaining that you are are eligible 4 100% all the up until september miss duhamel!"

Eight weeks not a penny! I've done every thing right, prompt, over thorough and honest w no issues whatsoever! Come on please help me im not going to give you my single mom sob story... Life isn't just happening to me... Im well aware but this is to no fault of my own and im evicted in 14 days how fair is that pleeeeeeeese its. A simple fix... Help me... Pleeeeese... Anyone... Can u hear me I am desperate!...

Diana machele duhamel: social ending in 3713 and bd jan 18

Please fix my balance its at a zero balance and payments for the last 8 wks have been released paying me. Zero dolllllars w 18 wks still remaining and a hundred reasons why im still owed $
My claim is not exhausted that's impossible 4 every reason possible.

Last time: please help me! Odjfs office of unemployment... Or the chillicothe adjudication ui center people... Pleeeeese im dying here. And its your fault!

Desired outcome: My monetary determination amount adjusted and paid retroactive moneys owed 2me

Ohio Unemployment Keep having continuous errors on my filing date

Yes, each weekend either I can file my unemployment claim the correct week but then there be weeks where I cannot file because of the system being like I file bi-weekly, which I do not and then I have to call to file with a representative over the telephone. I happened again this weekend but I found out that I cannot file because of the office being closed and the system not allowing to file for this weekend ending 07/11/21, so now hopefully and prayerfully I can get my claim this week when I call in the morning. Ohio Unemployment unemployment

To whom it may concern,
As an employee with odjfs I believe my case should be handled by a supervisor. I have been waiting for my identification to be verified for 2 months. The last payment I received was May 15th. I am a single parent and this is causing great financial problems. Each week I have called in requesting a return phone call and have gotten no response. This is absolutely ridiculous. Who do I have to contact about having my funds released? Is there anyone who can return my phone call? If so please forward this email to the appropriate person. I have also left a voicemail at the governor's office. I will include my phone number as well.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter,

Ohio Unemployment Customer service and waiting all the time.

I have had 11 notices for need of information, 12 notices for benefits rights, 2 appeals, 1 appeal hearing. All in one years time. I once had to wait 3 months to receive a payment. I have called them so many times they are now a favorite in my phone contacts. the most recent issue I have with them is the lack of importance to peoples well being and economic standing. I received a notice for the proof of identity on 5/17/2021. knowing the importance I sent my info in with no hesitation. I called a week later inquiring about the status of my payment being held. I was informed that since I did turn my info in so quick I shouldn't have to wait too long, but to be to just wait a bit longer. I call them again four days later and was told it could take another 10 days. to just wait a bit longer. I call 9 days later and was told I didn't turn the right info in. I sent every bit of documentation to them they asked for including my children's. so confused I emailed them all of the documents again. I call back a few days later and was told yes we got it and it is processing. they just need to approve it or deny it. just wait a bit longer .I decided to have someone call me back with help, and scheduled a call back regarding my proof of identity issue. I get a call back the next day and they lady asks me what I needed. confused I explained the situation and she told me to not call them about this issue. that there are a lot of people who are not getting paid. that I just have to wait. what in the world was that? she had no clue why I was being called and then told me to go away pretty much! I call back again a few days later and was told there is a long wait of people that it will take time. I call back a few more days later and am told to call back tomorrow when someone can help. I was given a number to contact the right group of people who approve the documents. so I call in the morning and it was the wrong number. the gentleman there waited with me and tried his hardest to get me through with no luck. i call back a few days later. I was told I didn't care about other people. that there is a lot of them who have not been paid either to just wait. there is nothing anyone can do to help. this lady had me in tears. I do care about others, but I have a family and try my best to help myself and others. it has been a month with no pay. I am facing eviction, utilities turned off...and so on. why would they ask me for my documentation when I have sent it to them so many times? I have emails to prove I have and have been cleared as not fraud. so in result I have sent my info through the link though three different emails and by fax. they have acknowledged I have sent my documents, but will not hit a button that allows me to get paid. they have plenty of people answering phones why cant they allow them to go through the process of accepting or denying certain documents? I understand not everyone is qualified to do so, but there has to be some that can help them out. So how long do I have to wait? Till I'm out on my butt with no home or sitting in the dark?

Desired outcome: just approve my payments please and address your customer service about proper interactions.

Ohio Unemployment Pua unemployment

I qualified for benefits and its been 14 weeks since i got a payment.. I was asked for documents which i provided numerous times and i got eligible redetermined at the begining of may and still no payments. Ive called several times only to get different answers from every worker and no one can seem to tell me why i am not getting benefits that have already been awarded to me. Im counting on this money to pay my bills and my landlord is tired of waiting on me and is threatening me with eviction as soon as the memo is up at the end of june or July. Also there are two pending issues on my pua that is for employment verification and fraud questioneer and ive submitted all my documents more than once and its unbelievable that no one cares enough at jfs to help the ones who truely need it. I wonder if the people who are filing fraudulent claims are having as much trouble getting help as people whom actually worked and earned it. Its a injustice in the worst way

Desired outcome: To get paid my awarded benefits.

At this point i will try anything. The ohio unemployment system is unbelievable. I am now having additional issues such as exhausted benefits, 15 thousand dollar overpayment, and now i have 0 dollar balance. Ive never seen such a unreliable government assistance system. Any suggestions on fixing this crap?

Ohio Unemployment weekly claim processing

I have been calling the unemployment office since April 13, 2021. I had made a small mistake on one of my weekly claims which delayed the processing. I called in several times to fix the error and kept getting hung up on and transferred to another department. I finally was told that it was a quick fix that one of the agents could have fixed. I put in an appeal and never received any other messages. I kept calling and got nothing. Finally after 2 months of calling I finally was able to speak to someone from the processing center whose name was Tom and he told me he was releasing the payment and I would have it the next day. I called in the next day only to be told that it was impossible for me to get it because there was a fraud block on the account and I had everyone who I had been speaking with seen it but didn't say anything.

I am on the verge of being evicted. They are so disrespectful and unprofessional. I have been told they do not document notes. And they put you on hold without telling you because they want you to hang up. Or they just hang up on you. I cannot believe how this has been handled. And there are so many others who have it alot worse. It makes you think that they are doing this on purpose. My next step is a federal complaint.

my email is [protected]@yahoo.com

Ohio Unemployment Unemployment let me slip through the cracks after numerous attempts

On July 14 2020 I was fired from my job of 14+ years as my constitutional rights and freedom of speech were disallowed. On Sept 2020 I was denied by ODJFS Unemployment Compensation on the basis of UI disallowed separation. I appealed this decision on Sept 21, 2020 and have still not received any decisions. I have done everything that I needed to do to followed all protocols per ODJFS Unemployment. I have claimed and filed my weekly claims since July 2020, when I was let go from my job. I called ODJFS Unemployment Insurance and spoke to a supervisor in regards to this terrible issue that has caused me financial hardship and great emotional distress. I spoke with an ODJFS Unemployment Supervisor approx. January of 2021. The ODJFS Supervisor in the Unemployment Dept. regarding this issue was in disbelief when she looked up my case and said she could not believe a decision was not made. She also stated had a decision been made I could have applied for the Covid Pandemic Unemployment Compensation. I felt confident when I spoke to this female supervisor, and she stated she would send this complaint I had spoken to her about to her higher up. The ODJFS Supervisor also stated she would make sure to get me compensated for all of this, and not to worry. Its been approximately 10 months now since our conversation, and I still have no decision from the appeal that I sent to them along with my confirmation number dated 9 21 20. I have been struggling financially and emotionally throughout this rollercoaster ride, and feel I have slipped through the cracks. I need a decision and wonder how they can legally do this to anyone? I cannot even apply for the Covid Pandemic Unemployment until the appeal was answered, which it has not been and I have been waiting for an answer for over 10+ months now, and now I am told it is too late to even apply for the Covid Pandemic Compensation! This is unjust and unethical to do to anyone. I am very upset and I am tired of being a nobody, I worked hard for 14+ years at my job, I was an essential employee and this is how I am treated? I wouldn't even treat my worst enemy this way. I have no health insurance and worked hard for the company that let me go. Now Unemployment is tossing me aside and I cant take this anymore. Please look into this immediately, and give me the compensation I deserve. I deserve answers and for this issue to be resolved, and to be compensated for these mistakes that Unemployment has made. My name is Patricia Klein. My date of birth is 9/12/55. My telephone number is [protected]. Please help to resolve this issue. Respectfully Patricia Klein

Desired outcome: To be paid by ODJFS unemployment/ ODJFS Covid Pandemic Unemployment

Ohio Unemployment Unemployment Compensation Appeal

My separation from Fifth Third Bank occurred on 11/2/20. Due to negotiating a separation agreement, I filed for unemployment once I signed the separation agreement in December 2020. I received a lump sum severance payment on 12/24/21.
In January, after receiving payment of $2, 220.00, I received notification that my claim was denied and that I was not entitled to benefits due to "Non-Fraud" reasons. It was a Monetarily Disallowed notice dated 1/21/21. The determination stated that I did not provide necessary information so my claim was denied. Additionally, I started receiving requests to repay the $2, 220.00.
The confirmation of my appeal is dated 2/5/21. I have called numerous times to find out what the next steps are and if my claim will be processed. Each time I call, I get different reasons on why my claim has not been processed. initially, I was told that Fifth Third stated that I returned to work in January. I have not returned to work.
On the next call, I was told that the severance payout was not reported by me. I did not report it the week i received it since it was not for work nor retirement funds. However, the fact that i was going to get severance was noted on my original application. As directed, I emailed a copy of my final paystub and my separation agreement to the bureau as directed on the same day.
my last call on April 30, I was told that this claim decision would be escalated. The employee stated that the hang up could be due to Fifth Third allocation of the severance payout.
During each call I was told to be patient since they were so busy processing claims. I have been patient but I feel six months is long enough and I do have bills to be paid.
Every time I call, I get a different excuse on why my claim has not been processed. Can your office help me get my unemployment claim processed so I can at least pay my property tax bill which will be coming due in the next month or two? I need help and I feel like I am in limbo until this is settled. I have continued to apply for jobs to no avail.

Desired outcome: Payment of benefits.

Ohio Unemployment Shared Work Ohio for PEUC claim

I was furloughed from my job in April, 2020 until December 31, 2020 due to the pandemic, and returned to work Jan 1, 2021 at a 50% reduction. I elected to participate in the Shared Work Ohio program through my employer and was approved on January 31, 2021. I have yet to receive any benefit from this program. I was told that I qualify however because I exhausted my initial weeks of unemployment the ODJFS system was not set up to pay claims like this yet. The person I was speaking with in February via email said the system was being updated and this would be complete "in March." In April, I inquired again and was told the system update still wasnt complete and there was no new timeline. It is now May and no one at Shared Work even answers my emails now. My hours were reduced by 50% and my income by almost 65%
And it is ridiculous this has not been figured out by now. Please help! Mary Ellen Gibson [protected]@zoho.com [protected]

Desired outcome: Provide an update/timeline/payment of $4200 in back Federal boost to unemployment + additional weeks into the future

Ohio Unemployment Ohio unemployment application

I had to refile my application on 03/28/21 due to being laid off from my job. I have submitted all the documentation requested, job searches, and information from my employer and my application is still pending. At this time I can not pay my rent, my utilities, or my phone bill. I have a degenerative lung disease and can not afford my medication. Who can I contact to help with getting me approved? I have called the Ohio office of unemployment every day for the past 2 wks. but get no satisfaction. I am desparate for someone to help me.
