I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and concern regarding an issue I am currently facing with the cancellation of my postpaid account. On 29/11/23 I visited the Ooredoo head office in Kuwait to settle all outstanding dues and paid the specified cancellation fee of 10 KD. During this visit, I was assured by the representative at Counter 10 that my account would be cancelled, and there was no need for further payments.
To double-check, before leaving Kuwait, I visited the airport branch on 30/10/23, where the staff initiated a new cancellation request, assuring me that the line would be canceled promptly. However, to my dismay, I recently discovered that my account is still active, and an additional payment of 9 KD was deducted. To make matters worse, I am now being asked to pay an additional 11 KD for cancellation, even after settling the initial cancellation fee. Now I have another 21kd balance showing. every time i speak to agents on chat they ask me to visit the branch, even after telling them that i am out of the country.
This situation is both confusing and unacceptable. I explicitly followed the instructions given at the Ooredoo head office, and I find it distressing that my account remains active, accumulating extra charges. I am currently out of Kuwait, and the repeated charges and requests for additional payments are causing significant inconvenience.
