On the 13th of September my daughter threw remote at tv by mistake during tennis game on the tv. The remote servers as controller for games. Model: Samsung 65q90t currently retailing for R42000 online. Outsourced electronics company contracted by OUTsurance as assessor came to collect the unit in the same week on Friday. Monday I called to make follow-up as app has not updated by the Monday afternoon. I was advises an OUTsurance assessor will come out to my residence to finalize details of her investigation. I welcomed her into my home, and answered her questions. She requested I.D numbers and signed authorization for criminal checks for all my family members. I found it odd and felt it was being treated as theft rather than a repair. She concluded and advised she will advise the coming Friday 22nd September. Once again I called for update. I was informed by the assessor my claim was approves for R12999 for purchaseof a replacement model. I immediately objected but was informed it was fair and accurate. I requested a manager, and explained the situation. He was very patronizing, telling me they don't deal with Pakistanis shops. Their agent is approved and that is the settlement. I refused and requested a quote. Few minutes later, assessor calls me with new offere. New replacent value will be R23082 for Samsung 65q80c as replacement measure. I received a clumsy looking hand written quote from New world discount store sent by assessor. I Went to Samsung to inquire, and got confirmation it is the official replacent model. I requested a quote from Samsung, and the tv retails for R37999. I am currently still without a television, OUTsurance is trying to swindle me. I can't trust them and would advise everyone to be careful.
