Oxford Properties Group unethical behavior - health safety risk - require to be transferred to another unit

I Request Immediate Accommodation for Health Safety Concerns, Due to Cat Urine from Previous Tenant's Pet and Rotten Smells in the Kitchen and we are freezing with the windows open while the door ajar represents a safety concern!

I am Requesting to Be Transferred to another Unit That Is Completely Ready, A Clean And Safe Unit Where We Can Move-In. I Have Been Paying All This Time For A Service I Have Not Got Yet.

Mr. Bert, General Manager, Mr. Milicer, Senior Property Manager; Malu, Property Manager, Matthew, Resident Manager, Bob, Maintenance Manager; Noel, Resident Maintenance Manager; Umber, Property & Leasing Administrator; Ronnie, Resident Maintenance Manager, staff at Brampton Towers have demonstrated a lack of compassion and overall good faith.

What I am experiencing from Brampton Towers Management is outrageous. I requested that my case is escalated to someone on a higher level of authority. Instead, it was sent back to the same staff. As a result of my case been neglected, it is only causing more abuse that even led us ending up in the hospital.

The priority that has not been addressed is Oxford Properties providing us with a safe place where to stay away from the gases that are leaving us at risk while they carrying out the Certified Air Quality Testing so that the root of the problem can be found and eliminated.

At the same time and without further delay, a Certified Plumber must be called to correct the inefficient plumbing work done so far, to prevent further leakage of septic gases. No less important are the floors in both bathrooms, in the kitchen and in the storage room must be replaced immediately… Also, the balcony and the windows outdoor must be cleaned, as it never been done before or after moving in.

Lastly, before considering the place safe, a second Certified Air Quality Testing must be run to make sure that this place is free of contamination. If contamination is still found during the second test, they must keep working on it until there is not any contamination found. Until then, my place cannot be considered ready for us to move back in.

Otherwise, they keep my unit and provide me with another unit that is Fully-ready, Safe and Clean to move-in.

It has taken a lot of time out of my life to clean all the filth that was left by the previous tenant and his/her pet leaving me with no choice but to have to delay my goals, due to all of this being out of my control.

I had to start cleaning on my move-in day. I started with the most basic and important areas that needed to be cleaned, such as where we sleep, where we would eat, where to go to the bathroom as at that moment my priority was to provide shelter to my child. It was winter, it was late, it was a long day and we were exhausted. So exhausted, that I could not even think that it may have been more reasonable to go to a hotel for the night or two, and then call the landlord the next day.

The employees feel they have the right to disturb me, during my pain, at their own consideration, even by knocking at my door breaking my privacy just because they feel like it. Shaking their heads in disapproval, as they will have the effrontery of questioning what is my complain about. They seem to think that during the time the repairs are being carried out, that it is to my liking to have to live with the door ajar, without having access to the full unit. That I must sleep, eat and more, in the middle of having to bear with the rot of bad smells and air pollutants.

Worst of all, they would expect us to adapt to all the symptoms that we are experiencing while they take their time to carry out a job that is urgent. Most if not all of the repairs should have been done in advance before we moved in.

It took me months to find an insurer, due to the condition the apartment was turned over to me which is filthy. There are conditions and restrictions in which I had been accepted as a client to obtain tenant insurance. There is no way from my tenant insurance to get accommodations unless something else happens in the future from a different reason, then the one I am experiencing currently related to air pollutants from crystalized cat urine, cat feces, or sewer gas because when I signed in my contract these problems were already in my unit.

It is been a nightmare during most of our stay in our unit at Brampton Towers to the point that, often, we must wear face masks for protection. As the smell can be so unbearable, that it hurts!

We are not accustomed to living under such poor and unsanitary conditions, as it has been wreaking havoc on our health since the first day. For example, constant constipation, respiratory problems, digestive problems, skin problems, cramps in different parts of our body, joint pain, and muscle pain.

The prolonged exposure already is making us ill. For example, I have numb temporalis muscle, stomach contraction with cramps, chest pain, I got tendonitis in my left arm, pain in a lung, dizziness, sore throat, ear burning and inner ear pain in both ears. Thus I have a child struggling with her health too while attending school.

I connected an air purifier in my daughter's bedroom and that has protected her a bit since she started having very frequent vomiting and feared her feared her dehydration. Clearly, this shows that the air is contaminated, since after placing the purifier in her room, her health has improved, and the vomiting has been less frequent. Even so, there are days that the small air purifier would not be enough to protect her completely from the air pollutants and she is having a hard time sleeping because of the poor air quality.

Since the first day we moved in, on February 23, 2018, I have left many times my main door open during daytime hours and the door ajar during night time. Otherwise, it would not be possible to stay in my unit. It has been very stressful and so uncomfortable.

I have reported it to Security. I have asked Management to be transferred explaining this situation is unacceptable. I explained that leaving the door ajar is extremely necessary, because it was, and it is still impossible to endure the pestilence in my unit.

It is so frustrating to hear every time, how I must keep the door closed at all times because, in case of a fire event, we would be jeopardized, but they leave us jeopardized under a precarious environment. The fire may or may not occur. However, the chaos in our health is a health safety concern right here and right now, which must be addressed promptly and efficiently by transferring us to a safe place. I close the door when the pollutants are no perceived, or when we need to take a shower or go to the washroom.

Oct 9. Mr. Milicer arrived with a man who was allegedly coming from a Certified air quality test provider. When I asked him to show his Certified technician ID, he said that he had left it in his car. He added that he will provide Mr. Milicer with the requested Certified ID, and Mr. Milicer would follow up by providing me with my request as soon as the document is issued to him. Then, I was the one who was asked to make the decision of where the device would be placed as if I were the expert. Next, an Air Mentor PRO a 6-in-1 Indoor Air Quality Monitor, which can be bought at Amazon, was plugged to the outlet and was collected on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018.

Once again, our lives are left at risk by the lack of the most basic business standards on solving the serious Health and Safety problems we are experiencing at home due to SEVEN MONTHS of exposure to the sewer gas in the kitchen and to the fumes of crystalized cat urine from the previous tenant's pet.

My privacy has been violated, the enjoyment of my unit has been disrupted from February 23 to the current month of October 2018 and repairs keep running. I have to deal with four employees at the same time and with some mocking contractors, all this while in the middle of my discomfort giving me hard time, instead of prioritizing efficiently helping me and providing with the necessary accommodations.

I have recently been signed up to 310MAXX tenant Self-service Web Interface. That is why; finally some of my requests are being addressed such as the tile flooring is been replaced.

Oxford Properties Group Dishonest Business Practises

They deal in renting furnished appartments in Montreal.. I needed a furnished appt for one week in Montreal. I contacted them and was offered the #1610 by Melody T. They advertised the unit at $1825 a month and it was decorated by a designer. I rented the unit for the week commencing January 7th. When I arrived with a friend I found to my shock and horror the place was a dump. The place was still dirty from the last guest. The only thing missing from this designer appt was the rats. I phoned the rental office and demanded my money back. Fortunately my friend offered to take me in. The company rep returned my money and offered me a coupon for a future rental asking me to give them another chance.
Two weeks later I contacted them again as I needed another appt for a week . I spoke to Melody T. and reminded her who I was. She offered me another unit and I requested to see it before renting it. She agreed and I travelled to the location to inspect it. I agreed to rent it and asked them to send me a confirmation. Three hours after receiving the confirmation, Melody T. sent me a e-mail that they were cancelling the reservation. I phoned her up and inquired why and she told me they had received a more lucrative offer for this unit.
Do you want to trust your vacation or business plans with these kind of people. They give Montreal a bad name.
